Another question, any possibility of getting times next to entries?  Would be nice to know when they came in since yours resets every day.
Yeah, I'll wait till the next round restarts and I'll add it in.
1702  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble with a Double Jackpot!!! on: June 19, 2011, 12:48:26 AM
Seriously there is too many double trouble games and watch them all die off because of it.

So true....

I started mine up because it looked like the original creator (who had started the second) had left and I didn't see any going at the time.  Since that happened (I think it was Thursday), a lot have popped up.
I started working on a PHP version of Double Trouble when I noticed hawks{something...} made his game.
Few hours latter I had my game up and running, and noticed Double Trouble games sprouting like wildfire.

[Edit]:
Not saying anything bad about them, as they each have their own rules which make them fun.
1703  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trojan Wallet stealer be careful on: June 19, 2011, 12:46:25 AM
I have a solution! Download and install a much more secure operating system its called linux. Did I mention its free too?  Roll Eyes
Just because it's a different operating system doesn't mean there aren't hackers who don't know how to get the wallet.dat
Always take precaution when downloading / installing / running files.

Is this a programming glitch?

At this time, it looks like there are 4 hours + 1 hr. It says 4:60:50 when it should be 5:00:50
Yeah, still trying to figure out the clock. I haven't had sleep in like...forever -.-
I changed it back to the current time, so when the clock goes to 24:00:00...the new game should start.
1705  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 18, 2011, 10:46:04 PM
I think everyone is like me, waiting for tonights reset...
Yeah, I think that's what's up.
I've got the code setup (tested) to do the restart & partial refund for every midnight. So, looks like we are good to go.

One thing I'm curious about, does it clear the entries completely or do you have records of previous days?  Would be cool to be able to look back and see what happens.
I'm thinking about setting up an archive. I've thought about it, and was trying to think of a way to display it. May be a few rounds before I get to actually setting up the display, but I'll add the code in to save the Transaction #, Amount, and the round #.

nothing wrong with tiny bets, you just make less money Smiley
I agree, as well ask keep the game moving. Grin

[Edit]: NO!, I still haven't slept yet. -.-
1708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Double Trouble - Double your btc investment on: June 18, 2011, 05:43:22 PM
Why is this a shameless self-enriched thread? Or, maybe, HOW is it?

Because this "Double Trouble", as already mentioned, is a ponzi scheme in its purest nature. Those entering earlier are paid off by those entering late, and those entering late lose everything.
And while most of the posters in here may not have any direct relation to the developer, some of them have admitted to having a stake in this "game".
And a short analysis of the mechanisms shows that most probably anyone entering now will not get any payout before it is reset.

I know, maybe my morals are a little strong here, but those people advertising here have a _direct_ stake in this website and are hoping to find people dumb enough to still enter.
If you can prove that anyone has a "direct stake" (yum yum) in this game, then I will close my game.
Everyone has the same chance as everyone else.
Rules have been set (read the FAQ), and they will be followed through for each player; no exceptions!
1709  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 18, 2011, 03:43:22 PM
I guess you use content-compression? If not, it wouldn't take nuhc code, I'm sure which ever web server you use can allow you to enable it in its configuration! Smiley
I'm not ever worried about bandwidth (as you can tell by how much I have left, lol).
1710  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Double Trouble - Double your btc investment on: June 18, 2011, 03:14:40 PM
My buddy on the phone is saying you should submit a "slashdot" article on your game.

Since everyone in that community hates it so much, maybe they would enjoy this, and give BitCoin it's good name back.

So sick of bashers....
I'm actually about to go to sleep, but feel free to submit it via slashdot.
1711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Double Trouble - Double your btc investment on: June 18, 2011, 03:11:21 PM
Thanks!  Wink

I noticed another BitCoin doubler, but it doesn't say whether the coins are ever returned in a loss, instead of your method "give lost money back, but take a punishment %"

So I think there are only two....
The default game was:
If no more players (entries) come in 7 days, the game is over and no one gets any money back (if they didn't get doubled yet).
My game is:
At the end of the round (midnight) it will take what the bank has left and split it between each entry that hasn't gotten paid (which is weighed by how much that entry put in), minus 2% per user as in the FAQ.
1712  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Double Trouble - Double your btc investment on: June 18, 2011, 02:46:31 PM
Everything went through flawlessly.

Thanks for the help though.

Might I suggest, now that there is a newbie thread, could a link to this thread be placed on the bit double website too? Right next to the other forum link, I mean.

Thanks again, these dev's are getting very creative, and overall, fair.
*cough* Dev. Grin

Yeah, I'll throw a link up on the site.

[Edit]:

=)

So:

I see this has been busy, even in the wee-hours of the night.

I like how the beginers can still play the Bit Double, as it's the total amount that doubles, not having to place in 8 bitcoins cuz someone placed 4. So I put in my "two coins" and I will have someone else likely help out as well.

I figure the lottery odds are a joke, but this is pretty interesting.
[Edit]: I have no idea what I just read (sorry about that post).
Yeah..I've been away for too long.
1714  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 18, 2011, 02:34:31 PM
I added a thread in the newbie forum to promote this game, just in case they aren't watching the marketplace threads.

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=18969.0
Thanks Smiley
I'll add this page to the first post as Sponsoring Threads.

Np NothinG.  I do accept donations for my hard work....lol

But seriously, this one is going well.  I am playing all three double trouble currently running, but what I like about this one is the automation you've created.

That was the whole idea...AND WHY AM I NOT ASLEEP YET! D:
Anyways, I've updated the API code a little bit [getCurrentPot,getPlayers, getPlayersUnPaid, getPlayersPaid]. The data get's reset on each new game (at midnight).
http://zombietoday.com/bitdouble/api.php

[Edit]: In the ~6hrs since I moved the site to the new domain, I've already used almost 38mb.

I should probably optimize the code to save bandwidth...nah Grin

This is actually the first time anyone has ever promoted something I coded.
I'm feeling good about this game!

Thank you for letting others know. Smiley
1717  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 18, 2011, 02:03:40 PM
Game looks pretty much dead right now.
Maybe I should have done the midnight reset.  Roll Eyes

Oh well, I'm sure it will be popular again.

I think you are hard on yourself.  As you can see there are a few nice size deposits in the last couple hours.  I can tell you I have been paid out 3 times so far.

134011
134543
134573

I have two more deposits in and will continue to invest in this as long as others keep investing.  Those people who invested the 3, 4.5, & 5 are in for a nice payout today.  I will keep investing after each payout I get.  These games take some commitment.

Yeah, I'm confident. Just didn't expect it to be so popular. Grin

Also, new update on the program:

I'm going to publish the update @ http://zombietoday.com/bitdouble_app/ (Version 1.1.0.0).

[Edit]:
Okay, I'm going to sleep (possibly).
I won't reply to any messages for ~6-8hrs.
The game is automatic, so have fun. Smiley
1718  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 18, 2011, 01:02:12 PM
No, I was meaning I'd wait for yout to have it possible to make an entry with it, and I'd have a script running to make entries if certrain conditions were met Smiley

Don't know about your idea Tongue

Yeah, I'm not sure about it either xD
I'm working on my application. I've got it setup to grab the current pot (from the API). [Not yet published]

1719  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 18, 2011, 12:18:30 PM
Nice! (/me waits for it to be done enough so he can get to work at automatically entering if it picks up speed Tongue)
Automatic entries?
I guess I could have something like (next game Bank & Entries) tables.
So when the next game starts, it will be like instant payout as soon as the old game end.
Almost like a "would I get automatic money every night @ midnight???"

How's that sound?
1720  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 18, 2011, 11:27:49 AM
I have had success in this game.  thanks.

Oh well, I'm sure it will be popular again.

I'm thinking about adding an account function so you can register and have it setup so all you can have a few more options (I may also raise the fee to 1.5% and the game-over fee to 2.5%, which would allow me to give users a reason to register [so I can offer them a 1% fee and a 2% game-over fee (as the current fee's are set)]).
You would also be allowed to "save an address" to make making a payment faster (for you).
Another option could be the use of "holding payments" until you're ready to get paid (of course this would be optional), but could give me a reason to charge 2% for automatic payments or 1% for manual payout.

Bleh, this is all conspiracy!..or is it?

[Edit]:
Started working on an API feature (mainly for use with my program, but anyone can use it).
