Are the answers dynamic?

If not, should base off of the current time (changing every 15 seconds).
1203  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: You know when you are bitcoin miner when... on: August 12, 2011, 04:20:15 PM
111. When you build your own mining rig powered hot-tub so you can relax after a stressful day of watching the price of BTC swing up and down.
That's shocking...
1204  Other / Off-topic / Re: test out my game on: August 12, 2011, 04:18:54 PM
It's pretty good, also at level 5, probably a javascript test.

There's no spoiler tag? Well, I guess this will do Tongue
I spent like 3min of my time trying to modify the JS in Chrome but it wouldn't save. ;P

- You attempt to power your computer with Solar Panels.
- You attempt to power your computer with the heat from your computer.
1206  Economy / Services / Re: New E-Wallet: Bitcoin Debit Cards on: August 12, 2011, 07:26:21 AM
A question:

Why the people would want a POS card which is not usable at the present?

because it acts as an e-wallet also, and that e-wallet functionality is amazing. I use it more then I used to use mybitcoin, it has ease of use, and is very similar to the real bitcoin app. And also to get in early on a service that may grow up to be something big. Who knows?  Smiley

Ah and... It hasn't HTTPS.

I'll wait for a more serious attempt of Bit-card.
I have worked on HTTPS, with failure. I cannot obtain a co.cc https certificate, so I tried self signing, and that caused some browsers not to even consider going to my site. If you have any idea on how I can get a cert signed for a co.cc domain, let me know. I would love to have https asap.
Cough up some money for a .com to redirect your co.cc (with $_REQUEST pushed to .com)...
1207  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan request on: August 12, 2011, 07:24:57 AM
Can someone build an Irc bot or something that we can keep track of these people. Why not elect a few trusted members to be the ones who update someones rep and risk assessment. In exchange, we tip them. Anyone we can trust to make a list, check it twice, gunna find out whos naughty or nice?

Web of Trust?

1208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dwolla... on: August 12, 2011, 07:00:09 AM
Well it finally went through....we really need faster ways to get cash into exchanges. This is brutal.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to send money from one place to another without ridiculous fees and without having to wait several days?
1209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help me brainstorm for Spend Bitcoins on: August 12, 2011, 06:58:52 AM
Once Bitcoins goes back up to 11USD per 1BTC (if it does), then I'll be more than happy enough to bring back selling steam games.

Cool site.
Thanks Smiley

1214  Economy / Services / Re: File Hosting Service on: August 12, 2011, 04:32:27 AM
I've edited my post, for the following reason: those 7GB/hour should mean 7GB in 1 hour, when the traffic flows for real. The rest of the day they pump out as much as they do in that hour Smiley

This is decent idle at 1 in the morning lol...
1215  Economy / Services / Re: File Hosting Service on: August 12, 2011, 04:21:05 AM
When Spleeder and I were getting the files uploaded onto the site for eptiv.com he said it was going at 200kb/s and I'm guessing that's where the cap is, but I've got files up faster since I'm using SmartFTP and server can handle 20 simultaneous connections going at once.
As far as eating only 3b of bandwidth being peanuts, the site's been up since August First and the only use it's really gotten is hosting thebitcardstore.com(which is as low lag as a site gets). Like I said, we were gonna use it to host eptiv.com but couldn't execute 2 files needed to run the site so we went with rackspace on that account instead.

Point being: I'm paying for 150gb of webspace and unlimited bandwidth and until I'm told otherwise by the webhoster, it's unlimited bandwidth.

EDIT: Here's some tests from my machine. Keep in mind i'm running a barebones xp pro system with 512mb, 1--gb hdd, etc..

to upload a 35mb file, it took 5min up, and 4 seconds down.
to upload a 65mb file, it took 10min up, and 6 seconds down.

I was getting 200kbps up, and 3mbs down. Large movies or dvd/blu-ray rips are definatly out of the question unless you want to spend 8+ uploading it. Service is still good for uploading images, music, text, small videos and anything else that's not over 300mb lol.
I've got a dedi that I could use to test your speeds.

Also:
There is an unlimited amount of bandwidth in the world. It is ABSOLUTELY free to transfer data.
The only cost is what a company makes you pay for stuff like switches and the cost to lay down fiber ( estimated $100 a foot http://www.isp-planet.com/business/fiber_price_bol.html ).
Having a company charge a monthly Fee for data transferred keeps what we like to call "Job Security."

3Gb in 2 weeks is much? LOL I have websites that pump out 7GB/hour. And lousy websites i must say  Roll Eyes
I've pumped 60mb/s and I've got proof from my host.
1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: free transaction pools? on: August 12, 2011, 03:56:34 AM
Well, in solo mining you're get the 50 coins directly. They aren't being sent to you.
So, I assume there wouldn't be a fee.

I could be wrong.
1217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: my pc turned itself on on: August 12, 2011, 03:41:22 AM
Some programs don't deal well with how Windows does the sleeping thing

I quit doing that years ago. My computers are now either on or off.
My laptop is either:
- On
- Rebooting {updates, or back from a crash}
- On the road moving to a different WiFi connection
1218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how do we get out of newbie mode? on: August 12, 2011, 03:20:57 AM
Just hit the LOGOUT button and you're out, LOL.  Cheesy

For Why?

Just joking mate, cheer up  Cheesy

lol, I guess it's not actually a joke when one has to explain. "For Why" is a bit of an inside joke for us dorks who sell/sold computing equipment in South Florida. "Por Que" is Spanish for "why" even though literally it is "for why". Most of us were guilty of responding with "for why" whenever something silly was said. So yes, I got your joke, but am sorry you did not get mine. 8^)

Ok  Smiley

And now my wife thinks I have gone over the deep end while cracking up noticing that your sig website is "For Bitcoin".

So now my automatic answer to "For Why?" will be "For Bitcoin!" lol

(and nobody but me or you will ever get the joke 8^)
And the people stalking the thread...
1219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Quick math question. on: August 12, 2011, 01:56:02 AM
What's funny is I have been using the dang Windows calculator do this for weeks and I have been wondering: "I wonder if someone has made an online app for this?"  Prayer answered!  Thank you sir
No problem.
I added JSON Grin
http://zombietoday.com/trade_calculator.php?volume=1&liveppb=on&json=on&bfee=0.3&sfee=0.3

Simple usage for JSON in PHP?
Code:
<?php
echo minSell();

function
minSell($volume=1,$ppb="live",$bfee=0.3,$sfee=0.3)
{
$url "http://zombietoday.com/trade_calculator.php?";
$url .= "volume=".$volume;
if($ppb=="live")
$url .= "&liveppb=on";
else
$url .= "&ppb=".$ppb;
$url .= "&bfee=".$bfee;
$url .= "&sfee=".$sfee;
$json file_get_contents($url."json=on");
$obj json_decode($json);
return $obj->{'mmsppb'};
}
?>

Like it?
