441  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Mjesečna Analiza za Hrvatsku Lokalnu Zajednicu (Bitcointalk Croatian) on: January 02, 2024, 04:35:03 PM
Uz malu zakasnjenje, evo i pregleda aktivnosti naseg boarda tijekom Studenog 2023.

Analiza broja postova tijekom Studenog 2023

Lista aktivnih clanova tijekom Studenog 2023

442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rollercoaster of emotions. How to deal with? on: January 02, 2024, 02:42:10 PM
How much of my monthly income should I realistically invest in Bitcoin, considering the emotional rollercoaster of the crypto market?
No one can tell you how much of your montly in come you should invest, that's entirely up to you. Standard answer is to "invest what you can afford to lose" but realistically, majority of people invest more than that.

What can I suggest you to reduce amount of stress is to stop looking at the price on the regular basis, especially if you are into it for a long term hodl. Few years ago I deleted all the price tracking apps and i have to say that it helped me immensely.
443  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: January 01, 2024, 06:10:32 PM
I can bet however that we had have many alts in the past in some of the most well paid Campaigns on our Forum.
Let me fix that for you.  Wink

I don't know if your remember (or if it was before your time here), but few years ago there was a case of 3 accounts (controlled by the same person) being in the best campaign on the forum (CM) for years and no one would probably notice if one of the members didn't make connection via addresses. So, if it was possible to inflitritate that campaign and stay unnoticed for years, I am sure that the same thing has been happening in others as well.
444  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: January 01, 2024, 04:36:17 PM
I was looking for these numbers per user, that is, how many posts each user made this year.
Its there in ninjastic.space and you can watch it live, just chose the timeframe and clicl on "User" tab. Last year ChartBuddy was the leader with 8258 posts while you were 5th with 5038 (2nd was not that far away, only ~500 posts so that's something that you can aim for in this year  Wink.

445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i need a few trx for fee on: January 01, 2024, 04:06:17 PM
I assume thats an airdrop isnt it? First thing rule about airdropper, dont hesitate to load for gas fee as it really needed on your claiming for most tokens or reward.
There are aidrops that send USDT? I thought that you usually get altcoins via airdrops, not stablecoins. Thinking of it, I don't think I joined any airdrop for years so  maybe things changed in the meantine.

But which crypto would you spend for? as long make sense for deposit to some transaction or deposit on the exchange, I can help you.
Just give me your proof like an address and purpose.
He already explained that he needs few TRX in order to withdraw USDT from his Tron wallet.
446  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: January 01, 2024, 03:58:51 PM
It appears that there is that there is a cover up. The department of justice has dropped the cases against Sam Bankman Fried on political campaign financing violations. It was also mentioned that they have dropped the Chinese bribery case.
Yeah saw it the other day, I guess all that donated money gave him some protection after all. What I would like to know though is can FTX go aftee that donated money conssidering dropped charges?

I reckon that what the community should begin speculating on is to ask who received and accepted the funds than came from Sam Bankman Fried.
That list is already out, here is the link https://twitter.com/unusual_whales/status/1603757337461800967

447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I Too Broke To Own Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2023, 05:01:48 PM
Sometimes I sell in a bull market, and other times I sell in a bear market. Would you say that holding BTC isn't for everyone? Am I not too broke to depend on Bitcoin for financial freedom? Yeah, I'm working for my financial independence, but Bitcoin has remained a peripheral component of that plan. Only if I can HODL for a few years.
The way you described your situation, it makes me think that you are investing in bitcoin way more than your finance can handle (that forces you to sell during bear) so maybe you should adjust the amount so you are more comfortable hodling for longer period of time.

Even bought a hardware wallet sometime ago to start HODLing. There's zer btc in it.
Hardware wallet is a good investment even if you don't use it for a long term hodl.

448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies are not Scums.... Learning is a Process and it's progressive. on: December 30, 2023, 04:55:18 PM
If I may describe myself, I will say I am the most honest man on Earth....
Yep, that's definitely something the most honest person in the world would say.  Roll Eyes

I can't lie about anything when I have nothing to gain.....
I agree, its pretty stupid to lie if you have nothing to gain, but people do stupid things all the time.

I think at this point, I will just exit this forum for my sanity sake.... I have lived over 4 decades and I have never seen a forum where people's views are not treated with respect.
Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
449  Economy / Reputation / Re: Symmetrick/Ratimov - Memorial Thread. on: December 30, 2023, 04:44:05 PM
Of course he didn't sell it, he used it to focus the attention of forum members on that account, and now the only question is what was his goal with all this.
I don't think that there was any goal, or that even wanted to make people think that account changed hands. He probably just stop giving a fuck about how he is being perceived on the forum therefore started speaking more openly, that made some people thinking account changed hands.

However, all this is not important now, because Ratimov, or whatever his name is now, has been banned according to the moderator's statement.

The user Symmetrick has been banned, so haters of this user can breathe a sigh of relief. So discussion of this issue has lost its relevance.
Hm, bpip doesn't show any changes in account's status.
450  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What many of us newbies are getting wrong about merit on: December 30, 2023, 04:35:25 PM
One of the things that both real and obviously fake newbies (like you) are getting wrong about merit is that you have to share guides and appear as know it all in order to het merit, while in fact you can also earn merit by by asking the right questions and being genuinely interested in bitcoin.

Nice thread sir, let's see how many user(s) get fooled by a newbie who's trying to teach newbies.
Since he already managed to earn 6 merits, I would say that he is doing a  good job getting people fooled.
451  Economy / Reputation / Re: Symmetrick/Ratimov - Memorial Thread. on: December 30, 2023, 04:10:31 PM
I can't believe that there is so much anger in him and that he can't control it, he is able to delete posts for hours. He was obviously seriously shaken by the whole reputation thing about him, but no matter how much he wanted to leave this forum, the urge to erase everything he did here was stronger.
Imho, his recent actions confirms that Ratimov never sold his account (as many suspected he did) as no sane person would pay for an account and then do what he is doing, spending God knows how many hours deleting 10k+ posts.

452  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [V2] Big List of Crypto Debit Cards on: December 30, 2023, 01:40:30 PM
Reluctance stems from?
What NotATether said. Binance is the only crypto platform where I did KYC and I planned to stay like that.

Can you share the link? I will be able to verify some information, and narrow down my search.
Here is the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5285324.0. List is based on Ratimov (now deleted) thread and afaik hasn't been updated for some time.
453  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: December 29, 2023, 04:39:01 PM
Maybe comparing the two years could be something interesting. But that might be a lot of work.
Not a bad suggestion, I'll definitely think about the ways I could do it. And yeah, it might mean more work but not too mjuch I think.

Ninjastic.space reports that the forum has seen over 1.87 million posts since the beginning of the year, and this number is expected to reach around 1.9 million by the end of the year.
Last year that number was ~2.6 million and year before that ~2.9 million that just confirms something we are all aware, that forum activity has been on the decline for years and with the mixer campaign ban I expect numbers to go down even more.
454  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: December 28, 2023, 04:00:37 PM
I have updated the race, so you can update your chart as well.
Damn your fast! Anyway, chart has been updated, cheers!

By the way, I plan to release yearly overview in a few weeks, like I did for the last year so if someone has some suggestion on what you would like to see, please share.

This is how 2022 overview looked https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5231446.msg61602851#msg61602851
455  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: December 28, 2023, 02:16:04 PM
As I promised yesterday, here's the latest monthly overview of the local boards activity. As usual, charts and table are made with the help of @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space and images uploaded via joker_josue's TalkImg.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan and Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards yet but I do hope that will change soon as imho they definitely deserve it and forum can only benefit from it.

Post activity per local board during November 2023

During November 2023 in the 18 local boards/threads 23958 posts were made, which is a solid 8% increase compared to month before (22105). As usual, Russian board remained the most active one, followed by Turkish at 2nd and Nigerian local board at the 3rd spot, with the latter coming closer and closer to the former so its just a matter of time when Nigerian board overtakes that 2nd spot that is usually held by the Turks.

At the bottom we see the usual names, with only the order changing. With that being said, its hard not to notice that Greek local board had 200% increase compared to the month before and I hope that wasn't just an exception and they continue with the similar or even better numbers in the upcoming months.

Local Board post race

Animated local board post race chart, courtesy of bitmover

Active members per local board during November 2023

Last month 1531 members wrote at least one post across local boards, which is a slight increase compared to October (1504). Once again Russian local board is at the top, followed by Indonesian and Nigerian local boards, who both have the all time high (well, at least the highest since I am making this chart).

Local board members per amount of posts during November 2023

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post in the above mentioned period, Indian is the leader with 58%, followed by Spanish (43%) and Polish (39%) local boards. In the same bracket, Romanian has the lowest percentage of such members (13%), followed by Pakistan (15%) and  Nigerian (19%) local boards.

In the 2-9 posts bracket, Romanian is the leader with 63%, followed by German (45%) and Bangladesh (41%) locals. At the same time, Indian has only 19% of such members, follwed by Greek (21%) and
Croatian (25%) local board.

When it comes to members who wrote 10+ posts, Pilipinas is the leader with 52% of such members, followed by Nigerian (49%) and Pakistan (46%) locals. When it comes to the lower percentage, Indian is  is the leader with 22% and after them are Polish (23%) and Romanina & German both with 25%.

Merit shared per local board during November 2023

Despite the increase of the amount of psots, number of merit shared dropped: from 10296 in October to 8328 in November 2023 which makes it almost 20 % decrease (its 19.1 %, to be precise) and I must say that I didn't expect it, especially since amount of posts increased.

Due such a big decrease, no wonder that almost all local boards have decreased numbers; some smaller like Italian and Turkish and some biogger like Russian and Indonesian local boards. Let's hope that was just a bad month and we see improvement in the next month's overview.

Merit/Post ratio per local board for November 2023

Since amount of merit shared decreased by ~20% while at the same time post number went up 8%, no wonder that almost all local boards hgad a significant drop in the merit/post ratio, and what's even more obvious is the domination of red colour, meaning 12 months ratio is higher that last month's for almost all boards.

Italian local board is the leader with 0.74 ratio (probably lowest for the leader since I am making these overviews), followed by Indonesian (0.72) and Romanian  (0.7) local boards.

Pilipinas is once again at the bottom with only 0.04 merit per post, which is comparable to the off-topic and similar spammy boards and I doubt that's the quality of discussions there. Can maybe someone from that local board shed some light and explain what's the situtaion there?

Merit senders and receivers per local board during November 2023

During November, 537 members sent merit across 16 local boards while 591 received merit and its no surprise that its a decrease compared with month before (555/655). Just to note that Pakistan and Bangladesh are not included because Merit Dashboard only has that data for local board, which they are not unfortunately but I hope that's something that will change in the upcoming months so I can finally include them in this chart as well.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during November 2023

Compared to last month, there are some big changes on this chart; while Indian had 55% of posts merited, last month this percentage dropped to only 18%, with Romamanian board being the leader (36%) , Croatian local board at the 2nd spot with 30% merited posts and Italian at the 3rd place with almost 28% of merited posts. At the same time, Pilipinas is dead last with less than 3% of posts being merited which is not a surprise given their merit/post ratio.

Merit per transaction across local boards during November 2023

Last in this series of charts, merit per transaction which can shed some light on meriting habits in local boards. Once again Pakistan and Bangladesh are missing from this chart for the same reason (and from the above chart too).

The most active members per local board during November 2023

Last but not the least, list of all the top 10 most active members per local board.  joker_josue from Portuguese local board has been once again the most active member across all local boards with 280 posts, followed by Smartprofit (259) and BVeyron (245) who are both members of Russian local boards. Good job guys, keep it up!

seems the gold days are gone  Roll Eyes

Gold days are longer gone. Faucets were thing 10+ years ago and I'm really surprised to hear that people are still using those.

i have tried many but all have withdrawal limit that you know you can't reach
You are just wasting your time trying to find some that are still worth doing, better focus on looking for some extra work so you can actually buy bitcoin.

Bro forgot what he was doing, and started partying.
Good one! I wish that was the reason, but unfortunately I had some health issues in the last few weeks, hence the lack of activity on forum and delayed monthly overview.

Come on Rikafip, you can skip this month and get back to kicking my ass on Friday 5th of January!
Haha no way, I haven't skipped a single overview since I started doing this and I don't plan to start now. You can expect it out later today or tomorrow morning at the latest!
458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some tips to help protect yourself from crypto scam on: December 25, 2023, 05:31:44 PM
@Barikui1 since we are sharing tips here, let me share you one: if you want to get some merit (as this is obviously a merit fihsing topic) you will have to put some effor into your topics, instead copy/pasting post from binance, without adding anything of your own.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your Bitcoin spendings here on: December 25, 2023, 05:27:28 PM
So to make things more organized and less clumsy I suggest members make posts and discussions on how they made certain Bitcoin spendings they wish to share here in this thread.
That's simply not gonna work as new members (who are usually creating those kind of merit fishing topics) don't usually check already existing threads before creating new ones. Another factor is that youre thread will eventually drop from page 1, meaning people will most likley not find it.

My advice to you is not to waste your time and just lock it.
