1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Croatian League - Hrvatska nogometna liga on: September 03, 2023, 08:50:08 PM
Still - Ivanušec is a great player for this level of football and I do agree that Dinamo should have risked more and demanded a higher fee.
Thinking of it, he shoulnd't have been sold at all. I can understand selling Sutalo as ~20M is serious amount of money, Livakovic simply wanted to move on so I can understand that too, but after selling those two crucuail players, there was simply no need to selling another one, especially not before end of Europa League qualifications. Its almost like someone (Mamic?) is sabotaging Dinamo because what they did this summer doesn't make any sense at all.

Just watching Dinamo losing against Osijek (despite my team losing its a pleasure watching HNL game being played at modern stadium) and I would be very surprised if Hajduk doesn't win title this year because Dinamo is just awful. Stronger clubs would be affected by losing three out of four best players, and at this point I woulnd't be surprised if Petkovic doesn't leave too because there's no one left that he can play with, expect Baturina.

edit: lool, what a crazy end of the game, Petkovic scored 2 penalties in the last 10 minutes and Dinamo leads 3:2
1042  Other / Meta / Re: A good statistics to show Nigeria need more merits source to approved at least 2 on: September 03, 2023, 05:12:53 PM
I think that its obvious to everyone following local boards situation that Nigerian board is one of the few that could use few more merit sources. I will just leave here two charts, one that shows total amount of merit senders/receivers, and the one that shows merit/post ratio which confirms what OP is saying.

We are open for his contributions towards the local board, but however, as our people popular says "If a finger touches oil it surely affects all" meaning if upgrade application is being honored I don't think he would forget his people so soon just as Hugeblack is doing currently, he is from our locals but he is spreading out his merits to our locals and that of others as well.
If he is not sharing merit now in your local board, why you assume he will start once he becomes merit source?

How many people are active on a daily basis on the Nigerian local board?
I don't know about the daily numbers, but on a monthly basis Nigerian local board is one of the most active ones with 121 members writing at least 1 post during July 2023.

1043  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Free Withdrawals Exchanges on: September 03, 2023, 04:47:33 PM
Hmm, possibly one of the reasons it went downhill.
Nah, no withdrawal fees was just the way to get as many users as possible, which worked pretty good for them, along with no KYC up to certain amount. The reason why FTX down was the fact that Sam & Co used exchange as their own personal piggybank, financing all kinds of crap.

They did almost everything to get more and more users fast, common tactic, some list shitcoins to target specific groups, some make trading fees as low as possible some question how they even run business, and get them to zero for VIP  like mexc has been doing for almost half a year now and so on. Not that fees can't be lower than what some were charging like Binance was doing, but too many freebies should be a warning sign.
And they did such a good job that they were called new Binance, since they also appeared seemingly out of nowhere and in relatively short period of time were one of the biggest exchanges around.

1044  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Free Withdrawals Exchanges on: September 03, 2023, 03:44:48 PM
The best thing about FTX (one of the reasons that i was using that exchange) was that it allowed free withdrawal of Bitcoins and all other cryptocurrencies. This was really helpful as sometimes you have to send small amounts of bitcoins and you do not need to pay any fees if you use the FTX exchange.
Yep, that was their tactic to get as much users as possible and we all know how that ended up so I am not sure I would use any new exchange in the future that has completely free withdrawals. You know what they say, "If something is free, you're the product".

If anyone knows the exchange where the withdrawal is free or is lowest, please share.
Probably the best place to check withdrawal fee for every cryptocurrency/exchange is https://withdrawalfees.com/ (at least that's the site I use).
1045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half of the People in Turkey Now Own Crypto on: September 03, 2023, 03:35:04 PM
I would like to see the method of selection of respondents because we already know that statistics can be cooked and KuCoin is interested in headlines like that.
After reading that article once again, I don't think that there was any survey al all and instead and they just pulled that 50% number out of their ass. Number I believe even less is that "47% of crypto investors are females between 18-30". Imho, this is nothing but marketing.

In any case I am sure that in Turkey the adoption is high due to the very high inflation they have been suffering for a long time.
It might be high compared to other countries, but I seriously doubt that real percentage is anywhere close to a double digit number, let alone 50%.

Muslims afaik are not very friendly to crypto
I didn't get that impression at all, judging by the local boards of countries with predominantly muslim population.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half of the People in Turkey Now Own Crypto on: September 03, 2023, 02:53:37 PM
Dunno, this number seems grossly overexaggerated to me, as they usually are when it comes to crypto adoption. I mean, I would love if its true, but I honestly doubt that 50% of people in Turkey owns crypto, and if you check the article Kucoin based that number on survey on 500 people only.

Looking forward to hear whta out members from Turkey has to say about this, do they have a feling that half the people around them owns crypto.
1047  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Coming new project the loan scheme no collateral on: September 03, 2023, 02:25:28 PM
If you don't pay back you can't just get any more credit.
And who will issue all those no collateral credits, and how long before you go bankrupt if you just give loans left and right without any collateral?
1048  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: September 03, 2023, 02:15:56 PM
If it is for him, according to his last comment that the payments for the last week will be sent, did you receive any payments for the last week?
As you can see if you check that address, last signature payment was made on March 12 and I don't remember getting payment for those few days (campaign ended on March 15th) that campaign lasted from some other address.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope is all I have left on: September 03, 2023, 01:50:47 PM
Is there any hope for small Bitcoin buyers like myself? Can 1Sat ever be 1 Cent one day?
Since current price of 1 satoshi is ~$0.000262, it would need to make x40 in order to reach 1 cent which would bring bitcoin price to ~$1 million. So yeah, I guess something like that is possible in the future.

With that being said, I do think that days when you could make a fortune out of few hundreds of dollars invested in bitcoin are long gone, but that still doesn't mean that its not worth it to invest in bitcoin. So, keep adding up as much as you can whenever you can, no matter the amount.
1050  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges which allow deposit/withdrawal without KYC on: September 02, 2023, 03:53:40 PM
Isn't it strange as Mexc exchange claims that they allow up to 30 BTC without KYC withdrawals but here they are asking for the KYC for mere 5,000?
All non-KYC centralized exchanges reserve right to ask for KYC for whatever amount they want so people should be extra careful when they are using them.

I would be careful now to send money to non-KYC exchanges, It is better to do the KYC than to lose our money  Huh
When you are using non-KYC centralized exchange, you shoudl always be aware of the fact that they can ask for KYC at any time, meaning unless you are readsy to do KYC, you should only send amount that you are ready to lose. I used Kucoin for years in excatly that way, never sendng more than a few hundreds of dollars knowng that if they ask me for KYC, I will simply refuse it and leabve the money there. Luckily they never asked me, at least not until they made KYC mandatory for all users.
1051  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: September 02, 2023, 08:29:13 AM
First of all, I suggest you to move this topic to "Services Discussion" (you can find "move topic" button on the bottom left of your screen)

Some apply to campaign of the same manager in less than a week of getting accepted and they want to move again, the same payment and number of posts.
Campaign can have more relaxed rules, like posts in local boards count or they don't have to write certain amount of posts in specific board (gambling campaigns usually have this rule).

What makes members move everytime? I need your contribution on this to make me understand it better.
Everyone has its own reasons why they change campaigns, with increase in pay rate being the most common and popular one, followed by how relaxed signature campaign rules are as more relaxed rules usually equals to more natual posting.
1052  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: September 02, 2023, 08:05:58 AM

1053  Other / Meta / Re: Request: Disable merits in the Wall Observer thread on: September 02, 2023, 07:07:28 AM
Actually its gotten a lot better in there since this thread started to gain some traction. No doubt they will be back at it after attention shifts away from the issue.
Maybe that's all that was needed, some merit sources that are active there realizing that they should be a little bit more selective when it comes to meriting. It would imho be a much better solution than just disabling merit sending there alltogether.

No doubt they will be back at it after attention shifts away from the issue.
If that happens, just bump this thread again. Tongue

+1

I just wrote and was about to publish my answer to icopress but since you eloquently covered everything I wanted to say, there's no need for me to repeat it other than to say that I 100% agree (too bad I don't have any merits to share  Cheesy).

1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: August 31, 2023, 05:54:50 PM
Easy demolition job for Liverpool this year, even the reserves are good enough for the group stages here. Only West Ham, Roma, Villareal and some others are going to be tricky. I'm not accounting for teams who will drop down from champions league though (Newcastle for example will almost definitely drop) but there's enough quality in our squad to dismantle them all too.Even Sevilla.
Famous last words. Grin

I believe something has changed in the formula as I see Europa League made of only from teams who get eliminated from the Champions League in this preliminary qualification round which today are the final games to the group stages.
Afaik nothing has been changed regarding Europa League qualifications in the last few years but you are almost right as majority of clubs in the 3rd qualifying  round (10 out of 14) indeed come from clubs eliminated in Champions League qualifications so no wonder that you got impression they were only CL clubs involved.

Overall it is a total mess and I miss good old days when everything was much simpler but current system means more games which then equals to more money and that's what football is all about nowadays.
1056  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: August 31, 2023, 05:29:44 PM
Better than nothing, but Europe has already many crypto cards here and there. It's will be hard for Bitrefill to compete with Coinbase, Wirex, ect...
True, they will have tough competition here, but if Visa really stops supporting Binance many people will look for another option. By the way, is Wirex still a thing? I know they have been around for a ling tiem and that they wre one of the first crypot debit cards but I enevr met someone ac tually using it and I know quite a few crypto debit card users (majority of them use Binance).

It will need to have a serious advantage compared to others and the only thing coming to my mind is a card without KYC
(something almost impossible nowadays).
It could be the fees but it can't work with zero fee that's for sure.
Yeah I don't even hope for no KYC but cashback is something that we could see.

So, there is nothing exciting for most people, + the card is not a physical one
They do claim that physical version will be released soon

We are launching the digital version of the Bitrefill Card first. If you own a recent phone, you’ll be able to add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and pay with your phone anywhere contactless cards are accepted. If you prefer a physical card, you will also get a chance to request it soon
1057  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: August 31, 2023, 04:03:19 PM
Vidim da si vec postavio ovaj avatar, ali ajd kad sam vec radio da zakacim ovde, kad sam vec zaboravio da upload. Mala razlika, ovde imas i Yomix logo Wink

1058  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: August 31, 2023, 03:13:48 PM
Just announced and not much information but Bitrefill will be offering virtual debit cards for a bunch of countries soon:
From what I can see they basically covered EU countries as usual, just waiting now for the terms.

Not in the US so boo from me. But for others is might be a win.
Since Visa allegedly stopped issuing new Binance cards in Europe (still waiting for someone to cofnirm this) since few months ago and my debit card expires in 6 months, this might be a solution. What's even better, they said that they plan to release physical version too. Anyway, good news for us in the EU!
1059  Other / Meta / Re: Request: Disable merits in the Wall Observer thread on: August 31, 2023, 02:59:57 PM
Personally I like the idea floated by PowerGlove about the option to turn merits off in a topic by its creator. Seems like a straight-forward implementation and would assist those who want discussion in their thread to be more serious.
While that implentation looks convenient, I don't think that it would bring desired effect and those threads would probably end up like Serious Discussion/Ivory thread - basically ignored.
1060  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Iforumtalk.com - opportunity to Earn while Discuss on: August 31, 2023, 11:13:37 AM
]I wouldn't take this seriously.
Of course, that attempt is doomed to fail as they are trying to do things backwards.

By the way, what happened to that forum? Is it still up to date?
I just checked and it looks like its still alive and still paying for posting, but with barely any activity compared with how it was in the early days days as payrate is shitty (paying in something called Talk Token).
