It's good if it was your secondary email, it's easy to replace it. But if you used it as your main email with all your contacts, work emails, important sign ups and etc, then it's a bit more problematic to start everything from scratch. Well, I do hope that people (or at least not many of them) weren't so reckless to use their business email for anything crypto related (I know I don't). My email that got exposed was the main crypto one though and it was a pain in the ass to change it, but I'll rather went through that than being constantly spammed with all sorts of scams. |

Agreed, Emma Stone really has done a very good job for Poor Things hehehehe. However, it might not be as good as Lily Gladstone who has presently become the favorite from 2.05 to 1.46. It appears @Saint-loup will be winning the bet. Congratulations. Its too early to give it up imho as 1.46 still doesn't make a her a huge favorite. If bookies were so sure odds would be under 1.2. It also appears that there might not be a storyline similar Coda for this Academy awards. Oppenheimer went from 1.77 to 1.26. There will still be another month before official Oscar's voting, however. Final odds will not be seen until March 1. For that I agree, looks like Oppenheimer has it in the bag as 1.26 is very low considering the fact that nominations are not out yet. In any case, similar to my Oppenheimer as best picture speculation last year, my next speculation for best picture next year is Dune 2.
Hope that you are right as that would make it a first scifi movie ever that won Best Picture award. Here it comes on March 1st and I can't wait to watch it but before that I will watch the first part again to get myself in the proper mood.  |

I mostly agree with you, but if you have an email that has been leaked through the Ledger email database leak, it's pretty much a lost cause; and I'm telling this from experience — you're simply just going to get everything thrown at you.
Those who got their email exposed via infamous Ledger database leak should have got rid off those emails as soon as it happened. At least that's what I did after the leak and when I started getting those phishing emails. Problem solved.  |

Nisam uopce skuzio tu opciju, nikako mi nema smisla to imati. Na forumima sam aktivan 20+ godina te moram priznati da je altcoinsalk jedan od manje user friendly te se nadam da ce svi koji probaju taj forum jos visej cijeniti jednostavnost bitcointalka. Ja sam tek prije par dana napravio Revolut tako da nisam ekspert te nisam prebacivao lovu na taj nacin, ali koliko vidim (nek me netko iskusniji ispravi ako grijesim) jednostavno odes na "add money", tamo dobijes sve podatke (IBAN, BIC etc) i jednostavno posaljes lovu sa svog bankovnoig racuna na Revolut.

Ime ti mogu ukrasti ali ne i historijat Bitcointalk naloga. Moraš dokazati da je nalog kojeg želiš duplirati tvoj a to može samo onaj koji ima i pristup tom profilu. A korisičko ime onda izaberi po svojoj želji.
Ma naravno da nemogu teleportati tvoj account, ali bi svejedno bilo u kurcu da tamo neki Rikafip radi pizdarije, pogotovo sto je uglavnom ista ekipa aktivna na oba foruma. A i koliko sam skuzio, da bi teleportirao account moras imati isti username na oba foruma pa ako netko drugi uzme tvoj username na altcoinstalku, pitanje je da li uopce mozes to odraditi (nadam se da postoji nekakvo rijesenje i za takve slucajeve). |

This might be one of the reasons why it could take some time for you to get replacement for your inactive local mod. The more active local board is and the more spam there is, chances for you getting replecament mod will be higher. At least that was the experience in our local board (Croatian) as we lost local mod back in (afaik) 2018 and never got a replacement despite being an active board, probably because we have very little spam and global mod had no issues handling it. With that being said, I hope wwzsocki's applications gets approved! |

Up until December 21st I usually had few hundreds of dollars worth of bitcoin on Binance as I used their debit card. Since card is not working anymore, I withdrew remaining bitcoin to my hardware wallet meaning 100% of my crypto is now there.
Unless you are day trading or using one of the the other exchanges debit card, there is absolutely no need to have any crypto on the exchange but unfortunately many people don't understand that until they get rekt, and some not even then as I know some that have money stuck on both Celsius and FTX while they still hold large amounts on other centralizedexchanges.

The "meanest" case on my local board has received 595 Merits there, generating 298 sMerits, but has only sent one back to the local board (plus one other sMerit elsewhere). On the othe hand, the account at hand is the most technical account on the local board, and has helped quite a few when encountering difficulties in the field. If he doesn’t care about the Merit System, so be it.
Do people still send him the merit on the regular basis (if that's the common knowledge, that he doesn't send merit)? Imho, it doesn't make much sense to send merit to someone who clearly doesn't want to be a part of the merit system. |

I think instead of one there should be two higher ranks that may be more than legendary rank. One of those should be titled as Elite and the other one should be titled as Mythic or Mythical. I believe the highest rank should be Mythical and the members who have 5000 merits plus 3000 activity should get to that rank and the Elite rank should be for the members who may have at least 3000 merits and 2000 activity. That would be the best new change in the Bitcointalk.
I honestly don't see what would forum (or forum members) gain with more ranks and that's one of the changes I wouldn't like to see. Since we recently got one of the most important changes (2FA) the next one I would like to see is bitcointalk being optimzied for mobile phone use. I personally don't miss it that much since majority of the time I am on my computer, but I know that there are many members who don't even own computers or prefer to use their mobile phones and that would make their life much easier. |

Dramatically no, but change is noticeable and probably will be even more in the long run as mixer campaigns were traditionally the most paid ones. Still, even with the mixer ban situation is much better than it was few years ago when standard payrate was $50 per week for a Legendary member. |

Is that correct, or I misunderstood? While I never had Coinbase card (I did use Binance card for years) it wouldn't make much sense if you can't spend crypto on your Coinbase account. I think that missunderstanding comes from the fact that Coinbase wallet (non custodial, meaning you own private keys) and Coinbase account are not the same things. How do you people even find those unkniown exchanges when there are so many legit ones? Can't you at least check CMC/Coingecko before you send your money there? I mean, an exchange being listed on Coingecko or CMC is not sign of legitimacy/trustworthiness, but not being listed there at all (like the one you mentioned) is a major red flag as all legit exchanges will aim to be listed there in order to bring them extra exposure. Anyway, consider your money lost and if someone contacts you claiming that he can get your money out for a fee, its yet another scam. |

Damn. 2 million bitcoins lost or discovered to be lost in just one year is a very very huge number. it is kind of scary too considering total supply of Bitcoin which is only 21 millions.
that is like a whooping 30% of total Bitcoin supply lost forever. We can't be absolutely sure that all those bitcoins are lost forever. Who knows, maybe Satoshi decides to comes back one day (highly unlikely, but you never know) or someome gets in the possesion of private keys of his addresses and moves around those bitcoins. By the way, to that account you should also add 26 BTC that someone sent yesterday to genesis block address. |

Momci jel imamo kakve preporuke za novu godinu? Od ovih novijih izaslih u zadnjih par mjeseci dost dobri su mi bili Past Lives, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers (mozda i najbolji film prosle godine). Samo napomena da su ti filmovi daleko od Jackie Chana. Sad se ceka Dune 2 koji bi trebao izaci 1.3. Pogledao sam ga dva puta a odgledat ce se jos jednom prije odlaska u kino, da se utvrdi gradivo. Malo mi se prosušio portfelj, toliko sam nisko spao da sam počeo gledati Jackie Chan filmove.
Treba ponavljati gradivo. Ja sam sinoc nakon valjda 20 i nesto godina ponovno pogledao American Psycho te mi je bio jos bolji nego sto sam ga pamtio. Jeben film. |

It's so sad to see that @Lucius and few others don't see any potential in newbies. They believe that most newbies are dummy, therefore they can't write anything meaningful. He was quit surprised to see a newbie writing something meaningful, and had to contact an AI if the post was AI generated. The sad truth is that majority of newbies that come here are alts of sig spammers made for the only purpose of milking this forum so people tend to be suspicious of the new members, especially those who write a little bit longer posts or some sorts of guides. My advice for you is to grow a thicker skin and if you didn't use AI you shoulnd't feel embarassed or afraid that you will get banned. |
