1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is wealth boring? on: August 06, 2015, 12:06:48 PM
What I would want to educate people against a system which is made to serve the elite, Make Schools colleges etc and only accept bitcoin as the currency. I would hire the top scientist to work on warp drive Tongue And try not to make a black hole on earth during the process Cheesy

These are just basic dreams what everyone wants. But to make it a reality its almost impossible.
1622  Other / Off-topic / Re: Real Satoshi Nakamoto on: August 06, 2015, 12:02:04 PM
I don't know why people are so curious to find him. he doesn't wants any publicity so leave him alone guys! He created Bitcoin! and he has his reasons to stay anonymous.
1623  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: August 06, 2015, 11:54:30 AM
How about some % from gambling too, It would be nice if we could earn from what our referral gambles. What do u think about that wetsuit? Any plans for that? May be like primedice etc after all it has become a casino and would be awesome if we could earn on gambling too Smiley
1624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $600 before December? on: August 06, 2015, 10:21:46 AM
imo It will be around $350 not more than this at current rate. Getting to $600 mark is just dreaming, Next year it will be a possibility because of halving but not before that. But with Bitcoin anything can happen right, We may have bitcoin sitting at $1200 a piece.
1625  Economy / Gambling / Re: Call of duty Modern warfare (PvP/Wager/Tournament) on: August 06, 2015, 10:15:12 AM
I have contacted monbux, I will update you guys as soon as possible, I think we have 8 players to get it going. I think it will be fun and I will try to make the next prize even bigger Smiley
1626  Economy / Gambling / Re: Call of duty Modern warfare (PvP/Wager/Tournament) on: August 06, 2015, 09:54:30 AM
ok, I will have the funds escrowed to a trusted member(escrow.ms etc)

To prevent wallhacks etc I have a multi monitor setup so I can spectate on both of the players. I know all the hacks for cod out there so if you got caught you will lose the amount. Also cheats will be disabled on the server so the only hack to look for will be aimbot and elevator jumping on those 2 maps are not possible. It will be a dedicated server so cheats will be disabled by default. The only thing for look out will be wallhack/aimbot. The killcam will help even further. And I will look into recording the matches too.

I think we should really get started on this. I will escrow the funds and we can go on with our tournament Smiley

If you are interested please reserve your spot. As 1st entry is free Smiley I think we have the people to get it going Smiley
1627  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 05, 2015, 06:53:08 PM
I make around 0.2 Btc per week by signature campaigns and by selling services. If I waste my time on raping faucets I would not even make 1/4th of it, Faucets are of no use just to try out bitcoins and understand how bitcoin works. If you work 15 straight on something else you could easily make 5-10x more than you can on faucets. And faucets are boring to be honest. Unless you have tons of referrals its no use to work on them. They are best way to make money for the owners Wink
1628  Other / Meta / Re: I said satoshi is a stupid bitch than i got banned ? on: August 05, 2015, 06:42:33 PM
You could write an extremely well thought out evaluation of Bitcoin's economic trajectory and still have it be off topic if you post it in someone's sales thread. Methinks you are leaving out a lot of context.

I said it before and I will say it again,

This 2015 group of newbies makes the 2010-11 idiots look like Mensa candidates.

 Grin Grin Grin

~BCX~

because they aren't newbies, i can bet my ass that not even 10% of all newbies registered lately, are real newbies, they are hero members that are worried to get red trust or bad reputation if they want to troll from time to time, or simply for farming account...

Yup I agree, I see tons of newbie accounts being made for scams, trolling etc. But these two reasons are on top of the list. which is the truth and yup account farming has gone to another level because of signature campaigns.
1629  Economy / Gambling / Call of duty 4 Tournament 0.08 BTC Escrowed (2/16 Players) Entry fee:0.005 BTC on: August 05, 2015, 05:19:30 PM
So I am starting a PvP wager and a tournament for call of duty modern warfare, It will be PvP Tournament and will be spectated by me.

The Amount for the 1st tournament will be: 0.08 BTC, This is a small amount but it is a start.

There will be 8 people participating in the tournament.

Entry fees is: 0.005 BTC per player

Maps used will be : shipment or Killhouse

These rules apply both to PvP and Tournament

Rules:
1) First person who gets 20 kills or 100 points win the match. ( 1 kill = 5 points )

2) The time limit on the match will be of 10 minutes, The person with lead will win

3) If you quit, You lose the amount and is given to your opponent

4) If you use cheats, aimbots etc you will be disqualified immediately and the amount will be given to your opponent.

5) In case you get disconnected, You will have 30 mints to return back to match failure to do this will result in amount being lost. The match points will continue where it was left off. so if you were winning and were 20 points short of the win and your opponent comes back within 30 mints you will require only 20 points more to win.

6) Failure to return in 30 mints will result in a loss. The amount will be given to your opponent

7) If the server disconnects same rule will be applied, The match will continue where it was left off.

8:) The ping must be below 250 (preferred below 180)

9) If you are below full member rank your amount must be escrowed.

Some more info:
The Moving speed will be 1.5x of default speed so that game feels more faced paced

1630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook group to estimate number of Bitcoin users on: August 04, 2015, 10:02:25 AM
This will be a pretty stupid move to join the forum, Facebook could track you down very easily if you want to remain anonymous then don't join it.

Actually the number of people doesn't matter. all we need is people using it and the market reflect how many users are there. And these wont reflect the real numbers too

There is just no way to estimate it accurately. As bitcoin is created for anonymity. And many people wont show up on these forums.
1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Threats to bitcoin on: August 04, 2015, 09:54:55 AM
Isp shutting down nodes etc
Governments secretly buying bitcoins and destroying them
Satoshi selling his 1 million BTC Tongue
Centralization by microwallets for big business etc
Scammers in the community
The list is very big if you count all of them
1632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: It's the next natural step on: August 04, 2015, 09:49:45 AM
The Graphic is awesome but it would make more sense if the logo was replaced by cryptocurrency as bitcoin may not be the best coin for the mainstream because of conformation times etc. So Cryptocurrencies are the natural step but bitcoin can always be edited for the need Smiley, Instant conformations would make bitcoin rise over the rest imo.
1633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 04, 2015, 07:56:31 AM
Yeah you're right there buddy, that's why i am hoping that bitcoin could change this so that we won't wait very long whenever we would send money to someone. But if this would not be resolve, i am hoping that an altcoin like ripple or stellar would go main stream since it offers very fast transaction speed

You should checkout bitshares. Its a new coin and it has a huge potential intant transactions etc, and it also offers bitUSD, BitEur bitGold and even BitBTC. so you could get paid in USD, Eur while giving away a fee of like 0.0007 Cents even for super huge payments, I recently bought btc via bitUsd and guess what I paid a fees of 0.0007 cents and I received the btc instantly, I too think we need a solution for bitcoin or it cant help and probably alt coins will take over with features like these.

BitBTC I think solves this problem too.
1634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 04, 2015, 07:52:21 AM
I also think that transaction speed is an issue at the moment. For everyday spending if one goes to a place and spends very little no one would like to spend much in transactions fees: this lets you wait (how long??) until the transaction is confirmed.

Right now the title of this thread is correct: Transactions speed are preventing us our legitimate growth.

The question is: is there a solution or not?

Right now the only solution that comes to mind is microwallets by major firms if they want to become scam free. That will cause centralization but it is a solution, But I think its not of a big deal,

Imagine you want to eat out X(famous) restaurant etc tonight, You can transfer funds to the microwallet like few hours earlier and when you go out to dine etc you pay via microwallet no waiting etc. but we will need an wallet which can manage all the microwallets etc to make the process easier.
1635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 04, 2015, 07:33:53 AM
First of all who would do a double spend on small items. Double spending is no easy task, and with normal fees too you get fast conformations. The alternative is that they introduce microwallets like faucets do. People can transfer funds to those and pay them via micro transactions which don't need conformations. Its matter of when this is going to happen, Bitcoin has all the things which the world needs Smiley
You mean by offchain? Why use cash or credit card instead because it's still a same thing as centralized?
Also now seems hard to trust someone handling the "microwallet" thing for big thing, anything can happen.

No it is not, suppose mc Donald launches there own microwallet, You can fund it, e.g 1 btc in it and when the next time you go, you simply pay by the microwallet instantly, They will be in charge of the microwallets so any losses will be covered by them. How is this linked to centralizing? They can withdraw from it when ever they want, It will be bitcoin no Macbit Tongue
If every bussiness use their own microwallet system then, that would be hard for each customer because they have to work hard to depositing each microwallet, and that just make the payments even more confusing.
Of course microwallet is centralized, because the real owner of the bussiness able to control over all of the coins

But we don't expect mc Donald's to scam Tongue, Ok In that we can say its centralized, But we can always make apps which can manage our microwallets, Like 1 main app which we fund and in there are microwallets of big business and we can manage effectively how much we want to spend on a specific store etc. I think its doable, Bitcoin has every solution as I said Smiley
1636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: August 04, 2015, 07:29:29 AM
In my country its pretty low actually, Not everyone is interested in it, Internet is the world of scam for average jo, So sadly in developing economies bitcoin has not made headlines yet. I think we know the reason too, Education, knowledge and facilities. But I think the best place currently for bitcoin is developing economies and that's where we are missing out on huge opportunity.
1637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: August 04, 2015, 07:12:53 AM
Blockchain.info, First of all its easy to access no need to worry about syncing as its a online wallet, plus the verification system helps, But if it gets hacked we all know the consequences, Which is unlikely I think Tongue

I just bought few btc worth around $120, The transaction was instant but conformation took 5 minutes. It depends on how much fees you give too, Like if you are buying a car worth $100 K you can certainly pay $1 or $2 for the fees and then see how quickly you get the conformation too. It is not a problem people should understand this by now if we want to go mainstream Wink Cheesy
