1561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if employees got paid in Bitcoin? Share your opinions! on: August 19, 2015, 07:51:04 AM
What do you think would happen if employees got paid in BTC? Would it make a change to the btc world?
Will BTC be accepted in real life markets? Do you think the price of BTC would change? If so, higher or lower?
Share your opinions.

Not much will change in developing economies, As education is still a problem, You cant expect a farmer in a 3rd world country to accept bitcoin let alone use a smartphone with internet on it, Unless these people cant accept true bitcoin acceptance cant be reached, But it can surely increase the price of bitcoin, And there would be i think huge fluctuations on paydays as companies would buy btc and it would make huge changes in price. And when people start to use it by buying stuff and eventually it will be converted to fiat so price would go down.

Its a complicated situation.
1562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin XT has code which downloads your IP address to facilitate blacklisting on: August 19, 2015, 06:56:44 AM
These things can through away Bitcoin into more problems.  So we must need to stick with Bitcoin Core.

I have been familiarizing myself with the issue and have to agree. Stick to core, there are many OTHER ways to achieve code fixes, larger block sizes, ect then a hard fork. The thought of this hard fork scares me to the point I'm ready to go into fiat until everything stablizes... It's making me sick....

Yup same thoughts here, thinking of selling btc right now and when we are the lowest buy again, Lets just hope bitcoin survives or else we can expect some altcoin which will take over probably litecoin etc.

I am just saying, If you thought of this another way of selling the account, I am not accusing you just telling you what can happen. And you need to calm down a bit mate

1567  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest personal bitcoin loss on: August 17, 2015, 12:00:49 PM
I am not sure if I am putting this in the right section.

Anyway, what are some of your guys biggest bitcoin losses?  Did many people here loss everything with Mtcox?  For me it is online casinos.  I do have a moderate gambling habit so it was bound to happen.  Cry

For me around $5 Which was lost due to fluctuation nothing more, I try to stay away from gambling with my own coins Cheesy, I have not lost any money in ponzies, gamblings and hacks so far, You just need to control yourself and dont be greedy, you wont lose a bit Smiley
1568  Economy / Services / Re: [BUYING] Posts For Bitcoin on: August 17, 2015, 11:58:01 AM
Guys be careful with this, This could be a attempt to hack your accounts, via collecting passwords if you are stupid enough to choose a same password for both forum it will be a disaster. Watch out!
1569  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan offer on: August 17, 2015, 11:22:33 AM
We offer all kinds of loans ,do you need a loan today? If yes contact us via globalloanfinaventure@gmail.com

Nice way to collect email ids, But this is not how you provide loans here, Post everything here, Its a poor attempt to collect email ids. If you are really offering loan services post all the requirements here. Smiley
1570  Other / Meta / Re: What is wrong with theymos and the other mods? on: August 17, 2015, 11:17:42 AM
I am not often on reddit, I don't even have an account there, but yesterday I spend some hours looking into the drama that happened/is still happening there.
Do you want to know, what other people are thinking about that? I got a mail from the LTB network(I hardly ever get mails from them, so it seems to  be an important topic from them) to look at this thread:
https://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/upcoming-bitcoin-hard-fork-r-bitcoin-censorship

So, I thought, maybe they have learned, but what do I see after I got here today: censorship again. Seems like the pro-XT-threads are moved to the altcoin-section and the anti-X-Threads are allowed to stay.
Seriously, nobody in his right mind, regardless of where he stands in this discussion, can think about these other than a big abuse of power.

So:
Theymos or any other mod: What is wrong with you? Who do you think you are? The new dictators of every Bitcoin discussion. Do you really think, that is what Satoshi wanted?

And here i am i dont know what is this all about, Can someone explain me in simple words what this is all about? What is XT? Sorry i dont have much knowledge about technical stuff behind bitcoin. But this seems to be a big issue from what i can see.

Here is the Unedited Post you are looking for. Please verify it and tell me if its ok for you.

lol. where did you get the idea that signing a message with your new address, saying that you own an old address, is going to prove anything?

if that's how it works. I can post theymos' address now and wait 4 months before signing a message from a new address stating that I own theymos' address.

SNapshot has been posted below posts. Also I can name first the transactions showing on the snapshot to whom i have sent the money using this same btc address which i always use.

yes. but what I meant to say is you can't prove anything by signing a message with a new address saying you own the old address. it should be the other way around.

Yup, If he has the passwords for that address what is the problem in signing it, Strange  Roll Eyes
1572  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.10 btc loan on: August 16, 2015, 06:09:29 PM
I have received the funds from forum member " Gelbstich " . Below snapshot is a fresh snapshot taken from my samsung mobile phone just before a minute.

I'm glad you did. So everything's settled then.

I suggest you to send the repayment from an address you can sign from, so in the future you can sign messages from this address and use this thread as reference to proof it is you.

Now that was a smart move sending to an older address Smiley

Thank you. Smiley

yes exactly, The only thing i found strange was why cant he sign the address it shouldnt be a problem if he controls the address, Any ways on a look out how this will go out.
1573  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.10 btc loan on: August 16, 2015, 05:53:45 PM

You are actually promoting scams here! You should know this will most likely end in a scam, But its too late now, You cant trust even satoshi unless he can sign his addresses!

Thank you for your concern. But I am not promoting scams. The money went to the old address, so even if what you say is right and he is an imposter, he won't receive the funds. Only if he truly is letyouearn. And if he is, he won't risk his account for 0.1 BTC.

Calm down. Cheers.

1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Windows 10 and Bitcoin Discussion on: August 15, 2015, 05:32:28 PM
I started preview Win 10 long before I had an interest in Bitcoin, so I've had nothing but windows 10 since I joined here, i'm that new.. works great.. that said.. as I understand all the worries and so forth.. yes.. windows 10, has apps which stay in constant communications.. regardless if you turn them off.. however that said.. it isn't key strokes, logging, search patterns, information about the user.. it is.. as I follow , handshaking security between OS for OS.. for you, you, are protecting you... this is my pc, it says it is, it continues all it's handshaking life to continue to say it is.. keep other peoples software under control, cause Microsoft has this.. the rest.. I haven't a clue.. however.. look it up.. read about it.. it's been part of Windows 10 apps and written up in normal communications.. it's snot smoke and mirrors like many seem to fill their conspiracy minds with.. other wise, disregard.. have fun, i'm new.. or you could always go back to Win 7, better yet, convert to any Linux.. go Chrome.. nothings really stopping your choice in OS's

So, you do not want to turn them off for your and that Apps safety and use.. you can, turn off any personal, searching results, advertising.. all that, can and does get turned off.. no problem..

On another note.. how many have their phones or pc's setup for GPS / Location for their Music channel.. anyway.. security is an important matter.. steps made by apps to insure your safe use.. are part of the business norm...

exactly and we are believing a single person Cheesy I could also post some bullshit about linux etc will these people believe that too? Omg what has this world come too.

Describe bitcoin in one word! I'm doing this because I want to know what bitcoiners really feel about bitcoin.

My one word to describe Bitcoin is:

Empowerment

Unique
1579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you didn't get paid for your signature, would you still care about Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2015, 11:52:37 AM
Ok, Signature Campaigners, this one is for you - how much is the fact that you can get paid in bitcoin for posting on this forum the biggest factor that keeps you involved in bitcoin?

"Free" money, right? (almost...we do give up our time.) I can earn some bitcoin without having to risk my own money, right? What have I got to lose?

How many of you have thought these sentiments and can honestly admit that if this opportunity for earning didn't exist you would not care about bitcoin?

Remember, the poll is anonymous...

Signature campaign is just 1 way to make bitcoins, But i think its not that much profitable, There are better ways to make bitcoin, selling, trading etc Wink

So if you think this is the only way to make bitcoin, you should open your mind and see the possibilities. Smiley
