1602  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1฿=$5m will happen on a normal day on: August 07, 2015, 05:01:01 PM
1BTC=$5m will happen on a normal day and nobody will notice. You will be the richest man in the whole town / city / country and nobody will notice. I wouldn't dare tell anyone if I were you.

From what I think it will be only possible if the whole world economy crashes and there is no alternative then bitcoin, That way we can say 1btc could equal 5 million Dollars but then I guess Internet and bitcoin will become something only elite can access. There is no way there would be equality. Capitalism cant run if there is no inequality someone has to be exploited so that profits could be made its simple as that. It will be hard to imagine everyone is a millionaire in a capitalist society. Unless communism takes over there is no way you could enjoy something like that it my opinion.

I have reduced the entry fees from 0.01 BTC to 0.005 BTC, I think 0.01 Was little high for a start but this will be the lowest.
lol, this tournament is in front of blockchain.info news page

But still no participants so far Tongue, I think the number of call of duty players who use bitcoin is very low Cheesy, I am thinking of counter strike instead may be that will get it going Tongue

1610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and remittances: Can it work? on: August 07, 2015, 07:48:12 AM
The only problem here is that people back home don't have much knowledge about bitcoin and again no way they can buy things from bitcoin in developing economies, Exchange has to take place and then there are chances of scams etc. Education is what people need, It will take time just like it took internet a time to become a daily thing, but still many people don't use it in developing economies. We have to wait like another 10-15 years to make it work.
1611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Save Bitcoin on: August 07, 2015, 07:42:17 AM
Yup this is the part which most people ignore. It is one of the reason that the price cant remain stable, Because of all these pumps and dumps on altcoins it affects the price of bitcoin. We really need to do something against them or they are just a plague for bitcoin. Making scammers lots of money while devaluing bitcoin. Who knows what the price would have been if these scam altcoins could be removed.
1612  Economy / Gambling / Re: Call of duty Modern warfare (PvP/Wager/Tournament) Escrowed on: August 07, 2015, 07:36:32 AM
I really like like idea, and I will be watching this thread for future updates.
However I won't join as I have limited time.
Good luck to you OP!

Thank you Smiley You can always come when you have the free time, If this goes great I am thinking the next one will have a bigger prize around 0.25 BTC it will make it even more interesting and may be something new for bitcoin could start from here Smiley
1613  Economy / Gambling / Re: Call of duty Modern warfare (PvP/Wager/Tournament) on: August 07, 2015, 07:24:47 AM
What if the players accuse one another of hacking? What are you going to do then?

I will be the judge here, I have lot of experience in COD, The server will have cheats disable the only alternative the player will have is that he will use Aimbot/walling hack which will be easy to detected as I will be using a multimonitor setup to spectate them at the same time, Or Some one other player can become a judge too so we will know for sure if the player was hacking. its not a problem believe me, Smiley

1617  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: August 06, 2015, 05:07:29 PM
For me the best thing in bitcoin is instant and cheap transaction, anonymity is not my thing but it is great to have something like that. No taxes on transfer etc, These all things make it best for me.
1618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safety awareness of bitcoin users on: August 06, 2015, 05:02:27 PM
It was a great survey, I would love to see the results. Multiple options would have also helped in some cases but you should get a accurate result from these questions. And I wish you best of luck Smiley
1619  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: August 06, 2015, 03:18:54 PM
I think it is.

Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate. Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.

Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?

What do u expect from media? they are on the bad side remember. You cant expect media to say wonders about bitcoin as they are ran by banks, Bitcoin cant die its a short a simple answer, But adoption will take more time, You can expect everyone to suddenly accept something new, a currency of internet where all the bad things happen. many people still think internet is a scam, you get the point it will take time to get people educated and it may take a while Smiley
1620  Economy / Economics / Re: Only 40.000 People use Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2015, 03:14:53 PM
Not everyone uses an online wallet, And many people love to hold the btc, Not Everyone buys gadgets etc daily so the active number would be less. Not everyone can buy coffee etc by bitcoin in there specific areas. This is not a good way to calculate the number of users imo.
