1221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Cap has now exceeded that of Paypal on: August 18, 2017, 08:02:07 PM
Wow, and people say bitcoins can't be used anywhere hahaha. What a joke! They're worth more than the leading online payment processor. Take that Elon Musk!

I am big fan of elon musk, i truly appreciate the work he does for humanity, i know he was the ceo of PayPal for a while but he moved on i think, but did he actually say that about bitcoin? If he did! This is the perfect response, Nothing better than the numbers speaking for themselves. I hope he sees the true potential in bitcoin sooner or later. Crypto is the future.

Also a funny story, i actually use bitcoins to pay for many things and it's cheaper and more secure than the supposed best payment processor in the world, which isn't even available worldwide for the users.
1222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins needed for martingale on: August 18, 2017, 07:46:59 PM
I know that the martingale system could only win if an infinite amount is available and an infinitely high amount is likely to be placed and Casinos are protected against martingale.
Nevertheless, it would be interesting for theory to calculate the amount in relation to the highest known loss sequence.
Example:
Game: Dice Game
Minimum bet: 1 Satoshi
Maximum bet: no limit.
Highest known loss sequence on dice game: ?

Necessary maximum amount for theoretical safe gain: ?

Well in my opinion, if you want to do martingale, you should keep these things in mind.

1) Always before each turn generate a new seed, it helps with the randomness. The computers can't truly generate a random number so keep that in mind. The highest loses i got was around 12 loses in a row if i remember correctly. Without generating a new seed for each turn.

2) if you are going to start from 1 Satoshi, the safest bankroll will be 10 btc imo, but that's a huge amount these days and is not worth risking for low profits.
1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What is the current minimum BTC transaction fee? on: August 18, 2017, 07:33:52 PM
The bitcoinfee21 fees are pitch perfect, the problem you have is that you have received multiple payments on a single address which increases your number of inputs thus increasing your transaction size, so that's why i recommend everyone to never use same address for receiving more than 1 transaction. I always get quick confirmations when i use the rates provided by both bitfee and bitcoinfee21.
You realise it makes no difference if you receive 100 payments to 1 address... or 1 payment to 100 address... you'll still end up with a large amount of inputs.

The trick is to NOT receive a lot of small "dust" sized payments... if possible, don't withdraw funds from services until you can get a payment of at least 0.001 as an absolute minimum. Even that is a bit low... 0.005 or 0.01 would be better.

So if you're fauceting or cloud mining or <insert micro payment activity here>... avoid getting small payouts!

That's what i was saying, lots of payments, specially the small ones will hurt you in the long run, more inputs means bigger transaction size thus increasing the fee for the transaction, if the person is getting dust payments, it's highly recommended to use a new address for each transaction or wait and get a higher payout simple. But generating a new address takes less than a second, so i don't see any reason to not use a new btc address for each transaction.
1224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 18, 2017, 07:21:18 PM
Tomorrow's first session will be crucial for WI, if they bat it out and get to 350 at the end of the day with 2-3 wickets down the game will get interesting for sure, they do have the batsmen to do this, but the temperament is a issue. We might have an interesting match on our hands. All is dependent on the tomorrow's first session. WI may get a chance a draw this match due to bad weather. Anyway fingers crossed.
1225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can reuse on: August 17, 2017, 09:31:37 AM
He is asking if it is possible to reuse  BTC address I guess

Does the Wallet Promote Address Reuse?

Yes, you can reuse your address multiple times without a problem. However, there are few things you need to know https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address_reuse You start to lose your (pseudo) privacy as it becomes more easy to identify you. Some wallets change the address every X days, so don't forget this as well

Not only that, but these days it will also cost you a fortune to transfer payments from a address which has received multiple payments. If OP you use a wallet like Electrum then by default you don't have to worry about receiving the payments on a same address, As Electrum will give you a new address for every new transaction. It's best to use a new address for each transaction, unless obviously you have money to blow away.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 17, 2017, 08:26:33 AM
First test match is going to start between England and West Indies. If I'm not wrong, this match will be their first day-night Test and be playing with a pink-ball. Currently, WI performance is quite bad in all formats of the cricket game, and recently they didn't even qualify for a champion trophy. I don't know how they are going to perform in the test match and England is also playing at home and they are in superb form. I believe it will be an easy win for England team in this match.

Yup true, it will be their first Day-Night Test match. As for this series, I expect a straight whitewash. As you said WI are performing poorly from the last year in all formats, its true, they have been on the downward slope after the World cup t20 win. IMO They lack quality bowlers for test matches, they do have good batsmen if they get in and can be quiet explosive. The problem has always been the bowlers. Anyhow will be interesting to watch how they compete against England as compared to South Africa and what sorts of pitches will be prepared for this series.
1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 16, 2017, 07:02:45 PM
I would like to know does the srilankan cricket board allows their players to participate in other premier leagues? And county cricket? I haven't seen many players from srilanka in county or other premier leagues, they are lacking experience and their young blood is not getting enough exposure, i believe there should be a rule in all premier leagues around the world to include X amount of players from lower ranked teams so they can get experience from these Leagues. What do you think?

Yes, they do allow their players to participate in world leagues and county cricket. If see at Indian Premiere League (IPL), there were many Sri Lankan players in almost all the franchise. Sangakkara, Jaywardene, Dilshan were regular participant; even now also matthews, malinga, parera and many others are still playing in the global tournaments.

The old players got the opportunity to participate in many county tournaments like IPL, BPL and other tournaments also they played and still playing becasue they proved that they are good players in international cricket. In premier league, event any franchise will buy a player based on his performance, but the problem is SL does not have any private league like Ipl and etc. to show the young blood performance to franchises. That is why the young blood is not getting chances in other premier leagues.

I agree srilanka not having a top level league is hurting them right now, if they will not play against international players they will not get the experience they are a lacking. International level cricket is totally different from local, you won't get underpressure or be in different Situations. Srilankan board needs to do something about their cricket or else they will go down. More matches on international level is their only chance imo.
1228  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Need an Adsense Partner. on: August 16, 2017, 06:30:02 PM
I'm sorry, but i'm out. Hope you find someone who can do this for you.
Best of luck.

Well don't be, i knew from start.

BTW i don't need a partner actually because i have my own funds, i want the partner as a back up if the website explodes then i will need my partners help, well i am still looking for a partner, i can compensate you with a healthy profit margin of 10%, if anybody is interested do hit me a pm, i will get back to you asap.
1229  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Need an Adsense Partner. on: August 16, 2017, 08:41:12 AM
So in simple terms, the website owner has to wait a total of atleast  51 days to get the payment from adsense, I can't wait that long for my project,  So what i want from the adsense partner is, to pay me on the daily basis, Whatever my daily earnings will be, i need them in BTC at the end of the day. The partner will get his funds after 51 days. I hope this clears up any confusion you had. Sending you a pm too.

What if you are sending garbage traffic?  You get your BTC and your partner gets screwed when he doesn't get paid.

As i said, I will prove the ownership of two Facebook pages from where i will drive the traffic from, Most of the traffic will be from Gaming Groups and my two Facebook Pages. My partner will have the traffic stats from day 1, He will clearly see where the traffic is coming from. I need the money on daily basis to re-invest in the project. BTW i don't expect more than $200-$300 in the first month. I don't want to risk my bitcointalk account for mere $200 by sending fake traffic. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I can do it, if selling the bitcoins everyday is the only thing i need to do. By the way, you did not mention the payment for your partner, or maybe you will discuss it in PM. Sending you a PM. Let's discuss this. I hope it works.

Just want to make clear to public once again, if you guys don't get it. Google Adsense payments works the following way, The user places ads on his/her website, whatever revenue the ads generates daily in the 1st month, the adsense pays the total amount generated in its 1st month on 21st of 2nd month.

So in simple terms, the website owner has to wait a total of atleast  51 days to get the payment from adsense, I can't wait that long for my project,  So what i want from the adsense partner is, to pay me on the daily basis, Whatever my daily earnings will be, i need them in BTC at the end of the day. Well, this surely makes it clear and suspicious at the same time. If i (being your partner for example) pay you the money in btc everyday and i don't get anything at the end, what can i do then? What if you close the website before the time interval for Adsense to give payments and go away with the bitcoins i have been giving to you? I won't be doing something like that for sure. I thought what you are offering is that i need to run the Adsense account and convert the money into bitcoins from that account.

Aamir the minimum payout is $100 from Adsense, I am well sure that this amount will be surpassed in the first month. The moment your account crosses $100, it is eligible for payment, So the risk factor of me closing the website before it even reaching $100 is too low, Because i won't risk my account for a mere amount of $100. Also why would i need someone's Adsense account for converting to BTC, I can do that myself via localbitcoins etc.
1230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What is the current minimum BTC transaction fee? on: August 15, 2017, 07:24:47 PM
414.444 sat/B is the current fee to get confirmations within an hour while if your transaction is not so urgent, 250 sats/B would be enough. 21 sats would make your transaction never get confirmed and even earlier it used to be 100 sats per byte.
Depends, even with fee, blocks can take quite some time to be mined. And no, that fee will still get your transaction confirmed, it would probably just take a longer time.

If you want the accurate answer with respect to protocol rules, the minimum fee is 0, as long as you fulfill the criteria for free transaction. Though I doubt miners actually include lots of them.

If your transaction isn't a free transaction, you require at least 546* satoshi per output and 0.00005BTC/kb* else, the transaction will not be relayed.

I believe you are asking what fee should you use to have a confirmation within a reasonable period of time. Blockchain.info is notorious for being extremely unreliable, you should get a reference fee from somewhere else. Bitcoinfee.21.co does have a reasonable estimation and my client is estimating 113satoshis/byte for it to have 1 confirmation within a reasonable period of time ie. an hour.

*Differs across the nodes.

I tried with 178 sats/byte and for the past week I'm not able to get even a single confirmation in an hour. It takes 3-4 hours to get 1 confirmation. Bitcoinfee.21.co does give an accurate estimate but only sometimes. Adding 400-500 sats per byte for priority transactions gets your transaction added to a pool soon. It's still the same unless the network is stuck with spam transactions.

1233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Cap has now exceeded that of Paypal on: August 14, 2017, 09:12:31 PM
This is something to behold, it wasn't long ago when the community would have been hoping for Paypal to integrate bitcoin as a payment option, to see bitcoin now overtaking them is quite funny.

Yeah time does amazing things, i remember people were getting pumped when PayPal launched the Braintree project but it failed epicly, PayPal and bitcoin are like fire and water, they can't coexist, just 20 billion more and we will leave Bill gates behind, it can happen in the next 4 months, fingers crossed. OP thanks for sharing.
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Ever regretted not gambling? on: August 14, 2017, 09:01:11 PM
The question is quite simple one, have you ever regretted not gambling on an occasion? Like football matches etc, where you had a gut feeling of a team wining but you didn't bet? This happened with me in the recent el classico, i had a gut feeling of Real Madrid winning 3-1 but i just didn't bet. Smdh
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 14, 2017, 08:49:37 PM
This 3-0 result is not a surprise! Why are people acting like its a big thing? Srilanka clearly lacked experience! They are a young team, who haven't played much international cricket and were under high pressure after the champions trophy. On the other hand, India were the clear favorites from the start. They were pitch perfect for the whole series, not many mistakes from them as expected, they are a top quality side with loads of experience. Anyway this series will be a lesson for Srilanka, the next team they will play against will be Pakistan who too will miss their senior players, will be interesting series for sure!
1236  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the combined net worth of all bitcoins in existence? on: August 14, 2017, 07:58:01 PM
if you mean Bitcoin market cap right it's near the  ~$70,000,000,000 but it's only relative to the unit bitcoin price, which can change the market cap drastically with a small unit change  Smiley

Since the net worth of Bitcoins is that high, I don't understand how prices are still rising so rapidly.

The answer is quite simple one, the Bitcoin user base is around 15-17 million users, the Bitcoin still is in its early stage of adoption, more people are coming in for this revolutionary technology thanks to recent media hype and good news surrounding bitcoin, like japan accepting bitcoin,  the south Korea news and so on. The end result is everyone wants the piece of the pie, but there isn't much supply to meet that demand, causing a surge in the price, just imagine if the Bitcoin gets around 100-500 million users. There is much to come, this is just a glimpse.
1237  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Are bitcoin wallet applications safe on phones? on: August 14, 2017, 07:42:17 PM
I will recommend you to not use a mobile wallet at all, if you do then don't keep more than 0.1btc in them, also make sure you have the private keys as harizen said.

Just because it's iPhone doesn't means its unhackable, there have been many instances where hackers were able to bypass the apple security, so don't keep much btcs in your phone. Get a raspberry pi, install a clean windows on it and install electrum on it, write down the private key, make 2-3 backups of it and generate 10 to 20 bitcoin addresses for transactions and keep the raspberry pi safe in a offline environment.
1238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What is the current minimum BTC transaction fee? on: August 14, 2017, 07:03:18 PM
Hey you can use my app on play store to get the recommended fee for your transaction, search for "bitfee" the app gets upto date data for what fee you should send with your transaction. Keep in mind the recommended fee in the app is for average transaction, if you have received multiple payments on a single bitcoin address then you might consider doubling the amount shown in the recommended fee.
1239  Economy / Long-term offers / Need an Adsense Partner. on: August 14, 2017, 02:38:29 PM
Hello fellow bitcointalk members, I need an Adsense Partner, by adsense partner i mean, What ever amount my website generates, i want to get that amount in bitcoin at the end of the day, The website is yet to be launched and its gaming related, but it is ready. I have 2 Pages on Facebook from where i will drive the traffic from(100K likes and 10K likes Respectively). I will prove the ownership of those pages to only those people who are interested in working with me. The amount will be low first around $20-$30 per day, In a few weeks the earnings are expected to rise to $70 - $150 per day, So i need a partner who can sell that amount of bitcoins daily. We will use your adsense account for the ads obviously.

How do i know it will work?
I have ran a similar project in the past and can show you my earnings of a week via Team Viewer Session, if you are interested in partnering up. Send me a pm and we can discuss this further there.

1240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reasons behind this Rise/Bubble? on: August 13, 2017, 06:43:26 PM
Hidden crisis in fiat money economy, possible usa impeachment, north korea tensions.Crazy idea appear in EBC officials.Thay create law what will allow to suspend withdraw from banks for one week in a case of crisis.Maybe that law will not be alive, but that news as been already released in media.People are loosing his trust to that over manpulated debt economy. And some investors are looking for alernative

We have a winner. Nearly two pages of "blah blah SegWit blah blah fork blah blah scaling blah blah", and only this guy seems to get it.

This massive injection of fiat is because the mother of all worldwide market crises is coming soon, and the elitist insiders know it.

"If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking."
-George S. Patton

Exactly! I strongly agree with you, the japan news took bitcoin from $1,400 to $2,300 then a media bubble occurred and it went up to $2,700 and the whales cashed out their profits. After that the 1 August happened and so far we have seen a pump of $2,000 in a period of 2 weeks without much correction, clearly something wrong is going behind the scenes. A huge amount of money is required to make a bump like this, fingers crossed hopefully ww3 doesn't starts soon..
