1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: August 03, 2017, 09:17:27 PM
What are some the more idiotic and stupid mistakes that you know you shouldn't have made but did anyway. Yes this includes other none gambling stuff like sending btc to the wrong address. I'm interested to find out the stupid things other people do.  Roll Eyes

Well the worst thing i have done is, actually believing that binary options websites are real. I lost around $100 on them. Then I learned that most of the websites use fake stats to manipulate the prices on the 3-4 decimal spaces, making the end customer lose money. This was the most stupid thing i have done. I didn't research enough and ended up losing my deposit in an hour.

Well so it was another attempt to grab bitcointalk users passwords then? Internal server 500 error. No update on the issue. Was looking like a scam from a start, if your investors were real they would have come forward but another poor attempt to hack users. Also i would like to know from the users who joined. Did you guys received the payment on 31st July? I will keep an eye for projects like these from now.

I guess there is no payments so far and there will be no payments. It is just a failed forum like other forums that was failed because they want to get good traffic but they did it wrong way. Offering pay per post without any moderations, as we see now the site is down and most probably will not come back again.

True, i was worried from the start. No moderation team, plus unsustainable payment rate without ads screamed scam. Lesson learned will look out from now on.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: August 02, 2017, 11:31:21 AM
On average there are those who can not manage their appetite to stop gambling. I myself have already set when to stop but it is the same. I can not do as scheduled
Yes it is difficult to follow set up limits that be made by us in gambling games, we must have clear rules, dicipline and take full control the emotions, we must take full control of the feel greed in gambling and always follow the set up limits, it will help to us to stop much losing money in gambling games, this rules are like plan trading in my opinions.
The gambler's tendency is how to play calmly and safely. It is very difficult, it may take a long time for you / we can control ourselves.
And when you've found self-control, that's where you'll be in the gambling you started

Well imo, The moment the most money is lost is when people try to recover their losses. It's our natural instinct or has become one thanks to our society. People lose $100, they end up betting $300 to get their $100 back, But they end up losing that too mostly in panic situations. This is how casinos make their profit, Making use of our natural behavior and promoting strategies like martingale. Our natural instinct when we see danger is to run away, But in gambling we see the opposite. Instead of leaving the session we bet more and end up losing that too. I don't know if that behavior has been planted in us or we are just like that.

Your View on this Video and how will AI effect the Blockchain/Monetary System, Your thoughts on this subject. In my opinion bad things are coming for us, Cuz i don't think the elite will think twice for us. They want to stay in power and this could really threaten their existence. In the long run if AI succeeds we will become a cashless society imo. Would love to hear your thoughts on this subject.

1286  Economy / Securities / Re: BITCOIN INVESTMENT on: August 02, 2017, 10:27:37 AM
Well I am not the admin but if you just want to invest and relax. Then the best option here is to invest in any trusted bitcoin casino like just dice etc, which offer investors a chance to invest in their bankroll. It still is risky thou, Every investment comes with a risk, If a user wins big on a casino, You may face losses and vice versa if a player loses tons of bitcoins on that website. I will recommend you to stay away from Ponzies which give insane returns. Also Always do your research before investing somewhere.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 02, 2017, 10:11:18 AM
Few years back on test matches very few matches gets a result, remaining ends as a drawn. These days those scenario has changed a lot, and in specific most of the matches ends with a result. Even the match between India and Sri Lanka came to an end with the best players in the field.
That is true, seeing a drawn match is the boring part, playing for five days and could not get a result is pretty much boring and so is the reason it is said to be a dying art form. Cheesy Things are changing now,but it is really boring to view one sided matches, the problem is we do not have quality bowlers like we used to have in the past and the pitches are not favoring them either.

This is only because of the Recent Batsmen Friendliness by ICC, They want to make the game quick and short, Killing the longer enjoyable formats. The ICC only cares about money unfortunately. In my opinion The world has many quality bowlers instead we don't have any Quality batsmen anymore (except few), Show them a green pitch and see how they will perform. Its now all about bashing instead of staying at the crease. I don't know who to blame, The Shorter format or the ICC for not keeping a balance, Almost every country has its own Super/Premier league which is killing the true formats, imo the ICC should place a limit on these leagues, Like A Player Can't play More than "X" number of leagues per year. What do you guys think about it?
1288  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: August 02, 2017, 09:59:10 AM
i do this question because i´ve read in this website issues with bitcoin, slow mining process, high fees, etc. and i´ve read too good reviews of some altcoins, ethereum (smart contracts), ripple (for transfers between banks), dash and nem. these altcoins called 2.0. could bitcoin become just in future virtual gold reserved to companies and rich people?

Well in my opinion, It is quite hard to get the trust factor which bitcoin has, Bitcoin has the first in the market advantage, Even thou better altcoins do exist, Each coin has its pros and cons. Think of it as Samsung vs All the Chinese Android Mobiles, Even thou they perform better in some cases but the end consumer still prefers the Samsung, why? its because they have the trust factor behind them of creating quality products, So is the case with Bitcoin, Bitcoin is Samsung and all these Altcoins are Chinese variants of bitcoins, Unless they make a revolutionary breakthrough which bitcoin can't adopt, Like an Apple IOS, Bitcoin Will always be the king of Cryptocurrency.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You A Sellout (Or Did You Hodl)? on: August 01, 2017, 06:08:02 AM
With the 1st of August in mind what actions have taken or not with regards to your bags of Bitcoin?

Well i be holding my bag on 1st of Aug and I have recently decided to not to touch my some bitcoins for atleast 20 years, I have forgot about them. Will be Interesting to see what happens on 1st Aug, But holding is the right option, Unless you are gambler you can afford to take the risk on 1 Aug and supposedly make a profit from it.
1290  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet on WWE on: July 31, 2017, 05:01:48 PM
Well if you have an insider in the wwe, you will become a millionaire for sure, so one of the reason major websites Don't support is because of it being scripted from start to finish. Plus who still thinks its real? Do those people still exist? Lmao
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 31, 2017, 04:49:11 PM
As expected the English team won with a big margin. Surviving a full day on that pitch was a tough ask from RSA.. Moeen got his first hatrick which was surprising.. anyway good win for England.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 30, 2017, 09:37:38 PM
It's good to be back, exciting day tomorrow, don't think South Africa will play out the day. They are four down and they need to survive a full day, which i don't see Happening the way the wicket is playing.. England should win this one with a big margin.

1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth using bitcoins anymore for gambling ? on: July 23, 2017, 07:24:30 PM
Sorry to see that more than half the posts on this thread are just spam.

Well you are going to gamble right? Why not gamble with the bankroll too? If the price goes up it will be a big win for you, And if the price goes down atleast you will have the same amount of btcs. You need to cash out at the right time, You need to gamble smart, If you are in gambling just for fun, these issues won't matter to you imo. That's my take on this issue.

Gamble yeah, but with control. Poker is a combination of both skill and luck.

But bitcoin price swinging up and down isn't a gamble a poker player or sportsbettor would like to take, because it throws off any bankroll management.

Yeah i read around 3 pages, most of it is spam and is poorly written.

Well i have to agree with you, anything which requires skill to win, an average Joe would prefer the stable option rather than the volatile one. The sane option is clearly fiat, if your countries allow it or unless you want to use btc just for fun of it.

But from what i have seen the Bitcoin gambling community doesn't factor in the price swings, due to the anonymity provided with Bitcoin. There are always pro's and cons and is dependent on the users whichever they think outweighs the other..

1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Biggest Wins/Losses and Recoveries while gambling? on: July 23, 2017, 08:51:33 AM
since directbet closed i don't too much gamble and my biggest win was approximately 0.1 btc from my basic capital amount 0.01 btc and it was happened while i playing dice but very unfortunate that i was never repeat it again and i don't have any recover stories too because if i'm lost then usually i spend all of my money and leave gamble

Not bad, it happens to all of us mate, When we get on a losing streak, Often we end up with empty hands. Yes Directbet is indeed being missed.

Quote
Not my best but Ive been on a good run in the last 24 hrs. Started off with 10 mBTC and made it into 205 mBTC in 24 hrs. Always feels great when you get most of the over 2x bets right.
Loads of educated gambles which paid off handsomely.

Nice going mate, Indeed Gamble Smart not hard. If the person really knows the ins and outs of a sport, Its rather a investment than gambling. Keep up the good work.

$100 for some people is not a small amount. I'm also not a regular gambler over a couple of years from cricket betting on directbet site I made over 2+ BTC, but one time I lost around 0.4BTC in a single bet on a dice game (that time Bitcoin price was around 300+). Overall I'm in loss from a dice game, but I'm not much worried about it because I always play dice just for fun.

It is true, $100 is quiet alot in developing countries, Poverty line people usually live on a monthly wage of around $200, 2+ BTC is a nice winning amount, Dice is the most unpredictive game, It has made people won insane amounts and lose insane amounts in matter of seconds. My biggest loss was on indeed a dice game.

I'm pretty sure a bit of a gambler who has a good recovery experience in gambling because it rarely to happens and if you ask me about it. Yes I've experienced it all and the best recovery experience i ever feel is when my balance was only $ 2 but can make a withdrawal of $ 200 whereas i started gambling with only a deposit of about $ 50. It is the best memories I have never forgotten.

Wow, This is incredible, from $2 to $200, That's a 100x Up, and 4x the return, Not Bad. Were you betting on sports or dice likes games?

1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Biggest Wins/Losses and Recoveries while gambling? on: July 22, 2017, 04:06:08 PM
The Question is quiet simple one guys, What were your biggest wins/losses while you were gambling, Or if you have an incredible recovery story do share it, The Biggest amount i have lost is around $150, I don't have any recovery stories. never been there. The biggest win for me was around $500 approx.
My biggest win was around  $600 I won a whole bitcoin from a bitcoin sportsbook  and cashed it out right away no second thoughts of gambling it again. Biggest loss I experienced was 0.5 bitcoin where I started from 0.02 btc and went up to that amount and then lost it all in the end.  Good thing that the prices back then were low so it didn't hurt that much for me.

Nice!, Sorry to hear about your loss, But that is incredible, From 0.02 to 0.5 BTC, That's some luck mate, Any way greed gets to best of us.. Best of Luck for the Future...

Biggest win was around 3 btc from just 0.0025 btc deposit. I was really lucky at that time as I was doing all in after each 3 reds. I know that crazy but that's how I am Smiley

YOLO man! That's some incredible wining.. Your biggest loss was? mind sharing it with the community?

The most I have won was $50 the amount I lost was over $100. These are the biggest loses and wins I have had.
Over all I'm down $100 or so. I'm not much if a gambler. Just on occasion.

Sorry to hear about that mate, I think its just not for you.

1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 22, 2017, 09:05:44 AM
Placing limits is a must if you want to gamble, Its simple math, There is a house edge and that edge will make you lose money in the long run, So its must to play safe, Never deposit more than you can lose and never go all out on a single bet. If you are losing, keep going small, Don't go big and try to recover the funds, You will end up using your whole bankroll in no time, Slow and steady will make you win the race, Well that's my opinion and the rule i follow after i learned through the hard way.
