Was there knc 2.02 firmware release with .bin file?

Nope, its just on their github w/ no .bin release. So, I made their v2.0.2 changes myself to my firmware and created a .bin for you guys.

has anyone compared the s9 and the titan ?

Titan is still the most profitable miner available. Has been for almost a couple years.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 31, 2016, 05:57:07 PM
which make the  A4's get here =(

miner?HuhHuhHuh??

I hope the A4's miss their target release by a longshot!
The Titan is still the most profitable ASIC to date and has been for quite some time. The S9 doesnt even compare. LOL!
Think the Titan has enjoyed ... what, like a 2 year profitable mining stretch? ... not much hardware can claim that.
166  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 31, 2016, 05:41:06 PM
We will need to see a btc price above $800 to really have this make any kind of sense.  Here is hoping the happens.

I see no reason it shouldn't. It's already begun rising from a very steady price, the halving is only a month away! We'll have to wait for the halving to see though. I've got good feeling Smiley

BTC price is not gonna go anywhere because of the halving. BTC halving price adjustment already took place last year when the price doubled from 225ish to the 400+ we've been healthily sitting at since this year.
167  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 31, 2016, 05:26:55 PM
So, really the S9 is a 7TH miner.... considering the halving =)

Well, at least diff will stay the same or continue to go higher now, due to this shitty release.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 31, 2016, 05:24:11 PM
Was KNC mining LTC with a Titan farm that just went off line ?

Next LTC difficulty - 16%

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/difficulty

I wouldn't put it past these bastardos to have been front-running us on LTC even before they shipped customer Titans.
Maybe now somebody at KNC will feel free to talk ...

If true, enjoy the lower diff til the A4's get here =(

I think its mostly just luck tho, looking at the larger pools individual stats, their hashrate is much higher than the overall estimated breakdown hashrate of those pools @ litecoinpool.org
Which usually means diff projection is just bad luck atm.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you print something, the files you print get stored somewhere u dont know? on: May 27, 2016, 05:23:21 PM
With a bip38 wallet,  u are being way over paranoid bout what gets left on printer. As long as you pick a secure / long / unique password you can effectively not care who u give the wallet to.
As stated above, actual wallet creation should be done from a live linux boot environment. Thatway, rebooting computer whipes its memory of wallet creation.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: May 21, 2016, 03:40:52 AM
So, Im confused about something.

If I set my Titan(Scrypt miner) to point towards a Scrypt hub worker, then I set autoexchange to ETH....
How does that work?

Will the hub worker only work on scrypt coins which can be exchanged? OR will I have tons of balances of coins that couldnt be exchanged to eth?

Pool switches only on BTC exchangeable coins because it is the only way to measure the profitability.
As ETH is supported like BTC both from yobit and bittrex, you can get ETH exchanged.

You only need to check final exchange coin (ETH in this case) is available on both exchange sites.
https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=account&action=autoexchange
Thanks

Well, I tried setting up my Titan and it gets a stratum auth fail.
I used this pool:
stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:12001
Says its your scrypt algo endpoint.
My worker & pass are correct so... not sure whats going on =(

UPDATE: seems to be happening w/ verge-scrypt =(   ... other coins it works for fine.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.3 (Windows/Linux) on: May 19, 2016, 08:55:57 AM
Hey claymore...
I noticed the epools.txt & dpools.txt  ... the commas are used as delimiters for parsing.

This caused a problem w/ the PSW setting, one of the pools I mine on takes commas as worker config parameters.
Any chance they can be escaped in the epools/dpools file somehow?
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.3 (Windows/Linux) on: May 19, 2016, 02:11:18 AM
Just a heads up too anyone daring and wanting to try:

I spent all afternoon bios modding my 7870 xt's which are normally voltage locked in utils such as MSI Afterburner.
I remember long ago, I had custom bios for higher clocks @ lower voltages on these cards.
But now, for some reason ... whenever I was changing the voltage in bios for these cards.... in windows, they would just go into limp mode when mining ... whereas on default voltage at bios level...the cards didnt have the problem.

So, I thought back to when I was using these cards a couple years ago for gaming.... what was different back then vs now.
The answer:
Crimson vs Catalyst

So, I installed latest catalyst 15.7.1

BAM!!!! Now my voltage mod in BIOS for the cards works great and is no longer in limp mode.

As a bonus, this driver version is actually a BIT FASTER then the recommended Crimson 15.12 (according to the local mining hashrate).

Another bonus I just found out....
Previously -dcri 30-35 would cause ETH mining to slowdown on these cards.
With this driver version I can cruise all the way to -dcri 62 before ETH mining STARTS to slowdown. Meanwhile, DCR nearly doubles in speed.
Interesting, will test this version.

Just tried on a 4x 7970 rig ... no ETH speedup , no slowdown either. Was able to increase DCR only a tad.

So, I suspect this wont work for all cards =) ... but anyone needing voltage mod via BIOS on their gpu's to work right, then running Crimson is not an option.

Hey, NiceHash ... any chance you will ever make ethereum mining - stratum capable?

I cant find a eth stratum pool that does an exchange to btc and if there is a pool that does exchange to btc .. it doesnt support stratum. This is frustrating =(
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: why a rise in value is a good thing on: May 07, 2016, 05:41:40 AM
Everyone loves to make money. If bitcoin continues to rise in value, more shops will want to cash in on the trend and start to adopt bitcoins. As more shops take bitcoins, more will follow leading to a positive spiral.

More appropriately replace the word value w/ price.
Bitcoins value is actually quite high, its just not recognized yet =)

I'm Sorry.

I believed I could do this.  I believed that I could put years of anonymity and hiding behind me. But, as the events of this week unfolded and I prepared to publish the proof of access to the earliest keys, I broke. I do not have the courage. I cannot.

When the rumors began, my qualifications and character were attacked. When those allegations were proven false, new allegations have already begun. I know now that I am not strong enough for this.

I know that his weakness will cause great damage to those that have supported me, and particularly to Jon Matonis and Gavin Anderson.  I can only hope that their honour and credibility is not irreparably tainted by my actions.  They were not deceived, but I know that the world will never believe that now.  I can only say I'm sorry.

And goodbye.

This fucking noob ass fucking wannabe piece of shit!
Why did gavin and friends go along w/ this bullshit?!
This guy was never prepared to sign proof of early blocks... fucking scam!
I knew it, its hilarious shit!
