Die temp can be dropped significantly using Liquid Pro TIM...
What are u using for a TIM?

I switched from AS5 -> Liquid Pro on my habs and it dropped temp a good 15-20C

Still one more lot of payouts to occur tho i do like the payout increase. Getting quite a little stash happening over at mintpal the last few days. Bring on more phat payouts! Cheesy

Here's some stakes over the last 2 days or so with the sub 500 difficulty we've seen lately. Crying over that 3k stake that wasn't accepted into the chain tho!

How do you get so much stake reward?! I get like maybe 4-5 stake payouts a day worth only a few hundred each.... would sending all my coins in 1 tx back to myself improve this at all?

So, Im guessing the habanero project is pretty much done at this point? No more batches? No more software dev?

Yeah, liquid pro is amazing on these things guys! =) ... just wanted to reinforce others comments on it!
Ive seen a 15-20C drop from AS5 -> liquid pro alone!
I couldnt believe it at first, I thought all the reports of it were utter bullshit. Never thought a TIM could affect heat transfer that much ... lol
1006  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-05] Nick Szabo (Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto?) Breaks his Silence w on: July 07, 2014, 12:59:21 AM
The only thing that will prove Satoshi Nakamoto's existance is a signed message using the receiving address of the genesis block and the few blocks after that.
1007  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-04]cryptocoinsnews - How Bitcoin Merchants are Pushing the Price Down on: July 06, 2014, 07:14:43 PM
You know, I think about this often. While it may be partially true, its not entirely true. I know that if I were to spend some BTC on stuff, I would turn right around and buy that BTC back from fiat.
So, it goes both ways for people, not just 1 way. There are people out there that will keep wanting to use BTC to buy stuff(therefore re buying it as they pay with it)

1013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Maloney - his most recent short interview... AMAZING! on: June 27, 2014, 05:55:10 AM
Mike Maloney is finally more accepting of crypto currency. You can tell by the things he says, but at the same time I feel like he's holding back his true excitement for bitcoin. He still must portray as being neutral towards it so he doesn't lose too much credibility with his main audience, the gold/silver crowd. He has talked about bitcoin several times in some of his videos now.

Finally? He's one of the few people I've seen that just thought about it for a few seconds rather than immediately dismiss it like most people have unless there's a video or article somewhere of him being unsure about it at first that I don't know about.

Yeah, a year or 2 back I saw him at one of his gold conferences or the like(a vid of it)... he was asked about Bitcoin, while he didnt dismiss it... he admitted he didnt know much about it and how he described it, obviously admitted that he didnt really know what it was or trust it.... so therefore he came across hesitant. But he did say "Im all for whatever the free market choses, and if this it then Im for it".

In the video I linked in OP ... hes obviously displayed hes done much more research into Bitcoin, is getting more excited about it and now places it in the same sentences w/ his precious gold/silver =) .. EVEN pointed out various advantages over PM's! ... its a very awesome transformation Ive seein in him from a couple years ago(like I mentioned above) to today.

Heres the video Im referring to ... ok so yeah may 2013? ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apmw2wFzxfM
As you can see his take on it is very different =)
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mike Maloney - his most recent short interview... AMAZING! on: June 26, 2014, 02:06:24 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEh5izdlpLc

I respect this guy alot, hes very open minded and his "hidden secrets of money" video series are absolutely phenomenal.
Hes a gold n silver bug, but a very knowledgeable, down to earth and not always shoving gold down peoples throats.

I remember a couple years ago seeing him asked about Bitcoin and he knew very little, but loved the fact at the attempt by the free market to come up w/ such a thing and see where it goes.
Over the past couple years, in interviews he has really warmed up to Bitcoin.
The video I linked above is absolutely amazing, the first time I think hes made a equal comparison between gold & bitcoin in a single sentence. Also towards the end he states some advantages over gold that Bitcoin has and at the very end he basically says "Gold has historically been the best money. Now Bitcoin is being tried, it may very well prove to be better, who knows.. "

To hear a highly respected Gold/Silver bug admit to something like that and even be open minded enough to consider something beyond gold / silver... is just awesome!

He seems to come up every once in a while in these forums, thought Id give yall an update =)

I have a 290GH module working just fine. I installed most recent firmware onto an SD card for the pi, plugged it all in. Have it OC'd to 305-315GH depending on heat, runs like a champ.
ehash.com is their official site now
the email works fine, when I had some initial learning curve problems, I had a full email conversation going on w/ like 3-4 emails a day, back and forth. All questions answered.
When the price was lower on these modules, they were a great buy!
perhaps they just avoided my conversation because it said the modules were borked.
wanna share some of that knowledge? had mine running for 8 hours now but the longest "elapsed time" in the status tab is no longer than a few minutes (that I've noticed).
I can hear them restarting every few minutes.
My pool says I'm generating +35% invalid shares (and rising) (was 15% when I left alone last night).
I have a DH% of 4.7, 8.9, and 11.8 and the literature suggests not going beyond 2%
So any tips would be awesome, thank you

Well, what controller are  u using? .. if its a rpi , make sure to use a powered hub and not plug avy into rpi directly.
Second, use the 5.26 firmware and put it on SD card for rpi
3rd, what pool u using? these things dont work w/ p2pool at all
4th, make sure there arent 2 instances of miners listed under the status page, if there are that causes cgminer restarts ever 10minutes.
5th, max temp on these is around 60C ... so make sure to have the fan really fucking high
6th, these require at least 425w @ 310GH

Not sure what I am missing, but what screw are you using to attach the Nepton 280L cooling head to the board, nothing seems to fit.
I had to go to home depot and get 8x 3/4" 6-32(think thats what they are, well normal coarse thread PC) screws

So for anyone struggling to keep temps under control... I just applied some Liquid Pro(100% liquid metal, till it cures then its more solid) tonight on my 2 habs....
Unfuckingbelievable!!!!
Temps dropped from 100-105C down to 83-88C (on hottest dies)

Running a nepton 280L, stock fans, well cept for one, on just one of the habs.

BTW, upon remounting I noticed that I used too much pressure on these chips, on one of my habs, one die had a tiny tiny chip in the outermost corner and the die opposite from it had a larger chip. There must be a bit of safety padding around the actual logic on these. Like good ol fashion AMD socket A processors =), could chip entire corners out of their die and theyd run fine.

Mounting them the second time around w/ liquid pro, used much less pressure and eyed the evenness of the mounting points. Using the pepper app .. was able to easily dial in acceptable temps for all the dies, I think the liquid pro is LARGELY responsible for how it easy it was this time.

S3 need 4 PCI-E cables for 390 to push. Wonder why?
May be more DC-DC or,
Two blades are power split blades to from (2x2)x2?
! One more fan there.

S1 and S3 are almost identical layout. They have replaced the screw type cable connector with an extra PCI-E socket.

If S1 can handle 190 watts on one PCI-E then so can the S3.

Some of the cheaper psu's have small cables, so if you use the cheapest, then you will need the extra connector.

Overclocking will need the extra connectors.

WHY THE FUCK they replace the screwdown terms?! those are incredibly useful for cheap server PSU's ... thats stupid...
