Question...
Would anyone find it useful to have a checkbox in SYSTEM tab something to the effect of "boost rpi performance" It would apply a mild OC to the pi that *should* work on all pi's the Titan uses. Ive noticed w/ the rpi @ 1ghz vs stock and a few other items OC'd ... the CPU is not always pegged at 100% when Titan is mining, like stock is.

Would anyone find it useful if I released an update that shows the current *active pools* (work being sent to them) on the main status page for Titan's Webgui?
Not sure what you mean? You mean something like 'currently mining 712mh www.litecoinpool.orgOr something else/more? Like this: It will list *ALL* pools the Titan is sending work to. So, if you have 2 pools in your config and is set to balance / load balance, both of those pools would be listed in this spot. I have 3 pools in config but just use standard failover, therefore Im only sending work to 1 pool, so only one pool is listed in this spot. Looks fine to me as a tweak. I suppose for those not interested there would be on/off toggle? No toggle, it is what it is =) Putting toggles in for every change starts getting ridiculous down the line.

Yeah, it would be nice if manufactures were actually honest about their projections. Rather than trying to scam investors into feeding them tons of money to make a shitty product. Im sure all the "partners", that shoveled millions in to Innosilicons pockets for the A4, are really happy right now. In the end tho, fuck the investors; its the customers who always get screwed in cryptoworld. Oh well .... at least the Titan will live on for longer now =) 28nm vs 14nm at nearly same power consumption .... how much shittier can your chip get?! Innosilicon...

I'll get straight to the point, extrememiner.com (the program) is a virus. My Norton 360 Premier gaved after a few hours tons of messages that someone was trying to access my computer. I was running the program on VMWare, a virtual desktop. And my antivirus said that the virus came from that process (that virtual desktop).
Extrememiner.com: virus
Sorry that i do not have screenshots from the messages i received from my antivirus, but there where alot of them so i didn't had the time to make them.
I can further confirm its a virus via my own testing =)

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to find ip/netmask for A2?

if you login to your router and if its a decent one, it will show all connected devices. From there you will have to figure out which one it is. If it doesnt show up then its most likely not using DHCP and is set statically. Then it becomes a bit trickier, it maybe would be easiest to perform a 'factory defaults reset' if thats an option on the A2.

I have to say i am very disappointed with the final specs. Need more info before i decide to buy or not. Was looking at 2 or 3 but not sure now.
first news they accounced specs where much much better, better than knc titan. but 1000W per 260Mhs thats worse than KNC TITAN (how old knc titan is!!!). very disappoiting Um... Its better than Titan, but not by much. Titan: 1500w @ 350mh - 4.3w/mh A4: 1000w @ 260mh - 3.84w/mh The Titan W are at the wall, who knows if the A4 quote is at the wall, if not then it could end up being worse than the Titan.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH hardfork incoming.

Im confused about this whole "ETH being forked" and all the controversy surrounding it. In order for a successful fork to be pulled off by the devs, dont the miners have to majority agree to it for it to actually take place? Isnt this still "whatever consensus rules?" - OR - Do the devs, single handedly have the power to enforce the fork w/o any sort of concensus?
If its the latter then, fuck ETH! Its a fucking scam and I cant support such a coin. But, if its the former... well, isnt how all crypto works?

I know it sucks as we are all hoping for a bigger leap in hash and power use, but this is my email in full. Dave, The hash rate per box is different from what we expected, but it's based on sample chip performance tested in the lab. And still A4 Dominator has the best efficiency ever, and we determined the price based on the specs. Are you still interested? How many do you want? Since our first batch has very limited quantities, we will serve batch orders first. Dave Dear Dave, I’m doing good. How about you? A4 miners is open for pre-order now at price of 1800 USD per unit plus shipping fee, 10 units to start, with about 1000W per 260Mhs (+-10% performance variation) each and 30 days parts warranty. Delivery starts from September and max delay is one month. Dave Hi Chloe, how are you today? I was wondering if you are getting close to selling the new a4’s? What would be the final specs and the final pricing, with the farmboy discount? Thanks Dave Interesting, well if they are as horrible as stated in the email ... then that's great news for my Titan! =)

email response from Innosilicon (A4 miners is open for pre-order now at price of 1800 USD per unit plus shipping fee, 10 units to start, with about 1000W per 260Mhs (+-10% performance variation) each and 30 days parts warranty. It is out of my ability to buy right now, just thought I would pass the info on.
Thats extremely crappy performance / power usage. Is your "email response" even real?

interesting, I'm running with the 5.1.0 in your latest firmware, wondering if there are any benefits of updating to 5.4.2 with the titan. did you notice any difference running the new version GenTarkin?
I dont think there are too many improvements. I mean the upgraded waas will fix bugs for some folks w/ some titans. Also, bfgminer 5.4.2 has network/ work related fixes ... I would guess anyways =P Everything changed can be seen on knc's github. I've not noticed any definitive improvement though. But, I suspect there may be a tiny improvement in work restart times for the Titan w/ the newer 5.4.2, then again that may just be the fixes my pool has been recently doing =P Who knows =P

Heck I've not run sudo apt get update sudo apt get upgrade anyone ever bother to do that even? (no clue...My knc Titan's are 'evil' I touch them when gen tarkin says to ..otherwise I try to avoid direct eye contact or they will likely brick themselves out of spite. Just saying. A couple people have, the underlying linux OS is aged to the point on KNC's pi release that ... I wouldnt recommend doing it. Generally, the further away in age you get from your linux packages which are installed, the higher chance there is for things breaking after the upgrade.
