Possibly because the KnCMiner Titan is a piece of hardware designed for mining altcoins?  As it is, this thread should probably be split, but this mix of company/bitcoin/scrypt hardware is what happens when companies retain a single all-encompassing thread.

Yeahp, so its hard to really advertise in this section I guess, but then again many that have Titans, browse this section... so w/e LOL!

Where to buy the premium version? Only on Ebay? Very intrested in the hardware manual, have 4 titan rigs and multiple cubes with different kinds of problems with some dies...

You can contact him directly for access to the premium code

Naw, lets not confuse people, vegasguy handles all the premium sales =) ... if the .75% donation one works for you, thats already available as a flashable .img file from my github.

Hey GenTarkin, what are your thoughts on starting a new thread with links on the OP? Seems that our links and information is splintered throughout this thread. That way we can update the OP with latest information and latest links to free and premium. Let me know your thoughts. Anyone else is welcome to chime in.

Vegas

Im up for it, but the last time I posted a new topic regarding my firwmare(in the beginning) ... it was moved out of this forum and into altcoin/mining, and in there it just went ignored, so I chose not to persue a new topic. Since the mods are obviously being retarded about my firmware, or something... no idea why they moved the topic. Whatever.

Alright, my code rewrite for DCDC implimention is completed I think =P...
Itll be testing on my rig for a while, the changes are up on github.
I will be making a new release after this proves working correctly, with the new release ya'll get to test out my "upgrade" button on the STATUS page ... =)

Maybe next Ill come up w/ an autotune setup on all dies, for best voltages & clocks.... but that would be a huge undertaking =P, not sure how many people would use / want that.

I SOOOOOO want that...

On a side note.. I have 2 dies set to OFF I don't THINK they are completely gone but have had not luck on getting them up in any systematic manner ..if I used your
new (not yet made) mod above ....say just on one cube...you think there is a way to run thru such and see if it takes in some manner with a log file or some such
(or hell just watch it manually) I asked about something like this before and it was a no go....but a best voltages and clocks ..even if i just sit and watch it manually
on one cube may be a work around....(then again I probably don't know wtf I'm talking about ..I don't code) Smiley

Irregardless of the silly idea above which likely has nothing to do with what you mean ..I and others here appreciate your efforts Smiley

again end of the month i get paid and you get some btc Smiley

(that and the fact I can see my miners again.........so lonely) Smiley

Yeah, it would most likely be a second script designed for tuning only of specific dies. I havent even thought about how to impliment yet and it would be a very hard thing to code up since there are so many operating variables of these miners, also its a one time thing, it tunes and its done. So, it doesnt have any long term headache savings. So, I may or may not get around to coding such mechanism, who knows. LOL! But, Ill keep everyone apprised.

On the hardware end.. Im looking into adding an additional PCI-E 6 pin port to the pcb. Physically it can be done. What I dont know is what effect this will have. I THINK it will just pull the power it needs and not overpower the board. I know the limitation are the VRMS as I believe they are rated at 40A, and cannot be changed without a reball or surface mount station. Im not promoting overclocking, Im trying to relieve the stress on the pci-e port, as Ive burned about 8 pci-e ports. I repaired them all to working order, but I would rather not have this happen. Anyone have any experience with this before I kill a very expensive pcb? Wink

Vegas

do they make a dual pcie pcb connector that will just use the same holes in the pcb?  seems that would save a lot of work

I remember reading a while back that there is a higher rated PCI-e Connector then what most miner manufacturers are using see this article
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-specifications-atx-reference,3061-12.html
http://www.digikey.com/videos/en/v/Molex-Mini-Fit-Plus-HCS/1653078210001

particularly this section

Not sure but maybe you can install Plus HCS terminals that brings rated power up from 192Watts to 288 Watts

Naw, a properly wired 6pin PCIE connector will have 3 +12v.
Whether our Titans use the middle one or not ...u would have to trace the connector on the PCB, most likely it does. Its video cards n the like that dont require the middle. Hence why that graphic notes only 2 12+ per 6pin PCIE.
The main issue is the 6pin PCIE connector itself(not the cables or anything). the actual connector is only rated to like 275 watts @ 12v

Either way, all this wiring crap is pointless. The main limit is 40Amps continuous on the VRM's and something like 45Amps max?? ... we already run them overspec.

Just got done *I hope* rewriting my initial DCDC threshold checking code.
The rewrite allows the following to be done:

If dies were clocked own due to threshold overtemp, if the threshold is raised via webgui, dies will now autoclock up to meet the new threshold.
Whereas a limitation I ran into while coding the auto increase of die clocks, they would only clock up to where they were for the threshold set prior.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 23, 2015, 07:48:39 PM
An exciting new improvement to be rolled out soon, into next build, after testing:

Auto clock up of dies which were previously throttled due to DCDC overheat.
The tricky part is at what % of DCDC temp threshold do I have it attempt to clock back up and hope it stays under threshold so it doesnt sit there and constantly go back n forth.
Im starting it at 90% of the DCDC temp threshold.
So, it works like this....
lets say die 0 gets throttled cuz DCDC hit specified threshold of 100C
It gets throttled from 325 to 300mhz...

Die 0's DCDC's would have to reach below 90C before its considered for being clocked back up.

Hi guys,
Thanks for doing the work on this, I sent you guys the ltc also emailed the transaction info etc. to bitcoinlasvegas.
Hey so any chance you guys will figure out how this can mine other gpu mineable coins?

Titans can only mine scrypt, thats all their hardware is designed for. It supposedly can do scrypt-n but in a very limited & buggy capacity(so not at all)... from what Ive read. LOL
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 23, 2015, 05:58:02 AM
My gosh, I just have to share this, Ive never seen a share this high on my Titan yet....
But, it just found a share w/ diff of 1.7million ROFL!!!
I looked that up and the chances finding that are 1/240 days.
Thats nuts.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 22, 2015, 07:16:10 PM
How I can repair that is easy fix Huh?

Repair failed VRM (no voltage or .8 Volts on die)

Does it work after power cycling? If not then the repair requires physical work. Even then it may not ever work again.
But if a power cycle fixes it then thats what my firmware is designed to remedy automatically =)
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 22, 2015, 05:48:12 PM
Newest improvement commited: Improved KNC's backup configuration script. It now saves hostname & clocks / voltages of dies in the backup file.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 22, 2015, 05:13:07 PM
All these is good

Here is the overclokcing option

There wont be one for a while if ever. Your buddy would need a Titan cube to experiment with. I dont have one to experiment with and I dont have the Titan in my physical control. Also, OC'n on these is a very bad idea due to the current already being pulled through the PCIe 6pin connector.

Uploading v.98 img to github now....

UPDATE: upload complete =)

ANNOUNCEMENT! Version v.98!!!
-----------
Working "OTA" updates, Miner name on key pages, My mods show current settings on advanced page now!
Many features with this release!!!!!!!

Finally implimented "OTA" updates for my modification. Click the upgrade button on status page and it will download my latest release and install it. What this means: Once you flash this release img to ur miners... You will no longer have to flash img's to upgrade to my later releases (YIPPIE!!!). It will keep all ur current settings. A reboot is needed in most cases after the process. note I will consider this a beta release for this feature, I have yet to see how flexible or limiting it will be in the future.
Added Miner name MINING & ADVANCED pages
Current settings are now correctly shown in my modifications to the ADVANCED page.

What about the 0.75% donation code ? Do you still have it in the new update ?  Embarrassed Cry
Yeah I do, it will remain in some form or another.

Currently working on:
Upgrade button next to version in bottom corner of webgui which performs "OTA" upgrades from my git. It will upgrade to newest release if one is available. NOT newest commit!
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 22, 2015, 12:36:13 AM
Quick update, recent additions to firmware are...
Hostname on pages STATUS, MINING & ADVANCED now. Rather than just STATUS page.

Current DCDC temp & enabled / disabled, along w/ current bfgminer version are properly reflected in the ADVANCED page now.
For the DCDC controls, they are prepopulated w/ current settings.
For Bfgminer version, it shows current running version to the right of the dropdown box.

These are only on git, not in a release yet.
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 22, 2015, 12:34:21 AM
Some updates coming down the pipe as improvements to my firmware:
Very soon:
(next release)
Advanced settings page, all my modifications will show their current setting =)
So, DCDC will show the box checked if turned on or box blank if not on. The Temp dropdown box will show current temperature threshold.

(later on)
*At some point coding an update button next to my version info in lower corner of STATUS page. Which will perform sync w/ git & install my latest goodies.

Think anyone would want to have a mobile app to control/view/configure the clunky KNC local webpage? bfgminer already has an API for most of the options anyway, but for your custom additions, if you allowed an API to hook into them, I could make an app to control everything.
Id have no idea where to start with that =(
