1141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I believe centralized coins will eventually win. on: September 09, 2018, 06:04:41 AM
The media will simply talk about....

will? the media is already doing it! and as you can see bitcoin adoption is still ongoing despite all that. you can't brainwash everyone. there will always be some sheep among us who will go that rout but there is nothing you can do about it. saying "don't fall for it" as you do in the next part won't change a thing. and creation of centralized coins is not going to change a thing for bitcoin as The decentralized currency. bitcoin will remain strong and grow more despite all that, just as it has been doing all these years.
1142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Signs and Symptoms That You’re Suffering From Bitcoin Addiction on: September 09, 2018, 05:49:32 AM
every day I see a new weird thing in bitcoin community which can not be found anywhere else! the community is pretty innovative when it comes to creating weird content Cheesy

"bitcoin addiction"? what the hell is that? are you an addict if you use fiat every day? or know the value of the fiat you are holding? no you are an addict if you use that fiat in abusing manner such as gambling with it.
bitcoin is the same. things OP describes are not bitcoin addiction, they are addiction to other things such as gambling. for instance someone who has a tab open checking price of different altcoins every second has no idea what trading truly is and how it works so he has to constantly check to see if his bets (since they are not investments) have won him any money or did you lose some more.
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Even the Politicians have secret investment in Bitcoin on: September 09, 2018, 05:44:37 AM
DO you know that even some of the so called politicians have secret investments in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies that no one may be aware of?
when bitcoin adoption grows, people from different parts of society are going to buy bitcoin. it is like saying back in 1990s that even politicians own a personal computer! obviously adoption of computers was similar, at first only a handful of people owned it, then more people joined in and eventually as of today nearly everyone owns a PC.

Quote
I believe this is one of the reasons why some of them have double stand when it comes to taking decisions on the adoption or regulation of cryptocurrency. Some of them are scared of publicly supporting crypto. What do you think?
you just described a politician. remove the words "bitcoin and cryptocurrency" from quoted text above and it can describe a politician's stance about anything else.
1144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Satis Group-Bitcoin might reach 96K by 2023 on: September 08, 2018, 06:27:07 AM
we always say bitcoin is easier to predict in the long term rather than short term but 2023 is too far away, lol. besides predicting a price rise after 2020 is easy with your eyes closed since we have one halving in 2020 and another in 2024 so $96K prior to the 4th block reward halving is too tiny in my opinion... we may see it by the 3rd halving already!

as for altcoins, ETH is doomed for sure but I don't think LTC is doomed. it is not a good coin, that's for sure since it is a copy coin but this coin has been sticking around and had kept its price up for nearly as long as bitcoin since it is one of the oldest coins. but it is possible that all these pointless altcoins be replaced by better coins capable of actually competing with bitcoin instead of pumping and pretending they are competing.
1145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in predictions of "experts" about the bitcoin price? on: September 08, 2018, 05:31:26 AM
anyone who claims to be an "expert" has always been an idiot or worse a scammer trying to make money by fooling others into believing what he is disguising as a "prediction" but in reality is his manipulation. and you should never even read what these people say let alone believe in it.

on the other hand there are still real experts who without claiming anything, specially claiming to be right, are speculating about bitcoin and their speculation is obviously valuable and worth looking into. it still doesn't mean you should follow it though.
1146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC-USD if bulls come together on: September 07, 2018, 12:31:14 PM
Perhaps today the ETF will be rejected.

no because SEC has no plans on letting the bitcoin market be rid of them this soon, they will reject ETF by the end of this month no 23 days sooner!

since there is no more news to come out until then we may end up seeing the same slow rise that we had recently towards $8k and then drop down from then when SEC actually rejects the ETF and finally we can see the rise interrupted afterwards.
1147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another large scale altcoin dump and bitcoin price was brought down! on: September 07, 2018, 12:26:13 PM
I read that it may be related to Goldman Sacks not opening an exchange but I do not think this is the main reason.
ETH losses was huge, XRP too, but even Bitcoin dropped more than $700 lately which is huge  Undecided

of course if you look at the number that changed (700) it seems huge but when you look at the percentage you can see that it was less than 9% which is in fact small. or at the very least you can call it a medium drop.
but the percentages of drops in altcoins have been above 10% and mostly closer to 20% rather than the lower bound.

Goldman Sachs news was a major thing but I remain on saying altcoin dumps have been a big pressure pulling the price down. it slowed down a lot but I am afraid we have not seen the end of it yet.
1148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin drops sharply by about 300$ today! on: September 07, 2018, 09:43:30 AM
So when the price increases by 5%, you like to say, it increased a lot, it starts to go to the moon, it's huge!
But when the price decreases by 5% just over an hour, you say, it's not a lot, it's nothing, ect...

It's like when we were on the big bullrun and everyone was praising the unregulated market, talking about how great it is that crypto is free from regulations, etc. And then as soon as we starting dropping everyone was shouting for regulations to reduce volatility and help to stabilize the price.

People are funny/stupid.
People are not ready to losing for what he being investing.
I'm interesting about how the price setting down going to stabilize because most people expecting it too much go to the moon but for some another, they are worried if price increasing fast, the market will break down and price fall same as early of this year.

if people were truly expecting price to rise "to the moon" as you claim they are, then price would have had a big rally because truly expecting means they will also act on it and that means buying more which leads to a price rise.
besides nobody is worried about what you said (if price increasing fast, the market will break). in case you have missed it price has been rising fast for almost all the bitcoin history! and rising fast has nothing to do with market breaking! last year price went from <$900 to nearly $20000 and nothing broke. even after the correction it is still a 620% rise in one year.

what investors are speculating however is that they believe the ETF rejection by the end of this month can cause some drops so they want to be ready for that opportunity to buy in the dip.
1149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This strategy is mostly used for price manipulation on: September 07, 2018, 09:34:26 AM
lets not confuse bitcoin news and whether they are manipulating the price by it or not with altcoin news and whether They are manipulating the altcoin prices or not. they are two different subjects. a bitcoin news although powerful may not easily lead to manipulation but I have personally seen many cases of  news sites getting paid to actually hype some altcoin so that it can get pumped easier. in this case they aren't even involved with that coin/ICO or its pump or money raised, they are just getting paid to advertise in form of a news article.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin on: September 07, 2018, 08:03:24 AM
bitcoin is not yet mature enough for investors to be considered a solid place to go because of its extreme volatility and the unpredictable nature of it. but at the same time it has been one of the investment options among investors for a while now.
so it would be reasonable assumption to think in case of a market crash elsewhere, the investors shift some part of their investment into bitcoin specially those who are already diversifying using bitcoin as an additional option.
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we too contribute to price manipulation by storing our bitcoins in exchanges? on: September 07, 2018, 07:53:34 AM
if an exchange were manipulating prices then they wouldn't need your bitcoins to do it, they will do it with or without them. if you don't believe me take a look at Yobit. they are manipulating price of at least a couple of altcoins every day. they don't need anyone to have any deposits there, it is a centralized closed database which they can enter anything into. for example you can see they are pushing the volume up fake, they put lots of buy orders in the history again fake and push the price up by skipping the sell orders and fake pumps. all fake and without spending anything.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This strategy is mostly used for price manipulation on: September 07, 2018, 07:02:27 AM
The media is the right arm of anarchy

they publish anything just because they can. the journalism is dead, fact checking is dead, and a lot of other things in this field are dead. only money matters now. it is not far fetched to think they are trying to manipulate price with what they publish. we have definitely seen many cases of it such as the articles Bloomberg and CNBC publishes about bitcoin every now and then.
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BlackRock ETF, Antonopoulous and the Bitcoin Bubble on: September 07, 2018, 06:54:51 AM
If anxiety over the upcoming verdict (30th September) on the CBOE proposal was not enough,

I don't think ETF is a big deal anymore and it definitely is not going to be a big deal after this upcoming ETF this month is rejected by SEC. in the past people may have gotten super excited about ETF mostly because they didn't even know what it is, they just got hyped be cause they thought it would shoot the price to $100k. but now they are also seeing the negative side of if ETF is approved and they don't want that. and as SEC rejects more ETFs people automatically will expect any future ones to be rejected too.
1154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market Analysis on: September 06, 2018, 12:16:57 PM
Bitcoin’s recent movements have given numerous traders hope that this bear market might be over, but there is a reason to believe this might not be the case. With the steep rises which Bitcoin has been engaging in, it is fair to suggest that it will soon be met with a resistance strong enough to cause a full rejection of price, which has been proven with yesterdays dump, but will the price drop even more?

if you want to start a topic with the words "market analysis" the least you can do is to study the market first and then make a topic about it!
what happened yesterday with the drop had nothing to do with reaching a resistance or anything like that. it was purely a panic that was caused by an unimportant news about GoldmanSachs. not to mention that the rise was in no sense "STEEP"! it was a normal rise during a long period of time with a very slow speed showing a solid buy support.
I additionally believe that the altcoin dumps such as the huge ETH drop yesterday played a big role in pulling bitcoin price down.

however if you are just sharing your wishes about seeing a big drop then it is a different story and you should change the title into "I wish to see a big price drop".
1155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: share some trading strats on: September 06, 2018, 10:23:34 AM
Should I wait for the market to recover or now is a good time to trade?

if you can't make profit under ALL market conditions then you are not familiar with how trading works. and more importantly you have no idea how the altcoin market works and where the profit can be found. so no you should stay away from trading until you learn how it works. it has nothing to do with the market, even during a pumping season you can lose money if you don't know what to do! and the worst thing is that you gain false confidence during pumping season thinking you are a good trader!
1156  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN towards 24000 USD!!! on: September 06, 2018, 09:39:49 AM
as a rule of thumb whenever you read a news like this you should always check it on your own. for instance they are reporting bitcoin price at $24000 in Iranian exchange. I ask where are these exchanges, why haven't we ever heard of them before? where is the price report? I read the article on bitcoin.com, it seems to be pure nonsense and the site they are introducing is nothing but a shady one that is not used. in fact 99% of the traders in Iran are happening either p2p and off the market or on legit exchanges.
1157  Economy / Speculation / Re: What you must know about the Silk Road & The Current Bearish Market on: September 06, 2018, 09:28:06 AM
in case you haven't figured it out yet, news and drops or rises is not something with delayed effect. it is something with immediate effect. for the most obvious example you can look at exchange hack news. as soon as it comes out price drops. there isn't even seconds between the news and the drop because there are insiders who sell first. you will never see news come out and then 2 weeks later the effects of the news be seen!

that is the case with Silk Road. the news or better said speculation about it started a week ago and if price could drop it would have dropped back then not now.
1158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish outlook for BTC - will it last? on: September 06, 2018, 09:15:34 AM
The channels I'm following that got this right set their shorts on 7300, but even they didn't foresee the drop to 6200, with TP around 6900. No news could have preempted this slide, if anything sentiment was largely bullish across the board.

Seems a bit like luck to me, but yeah definitely not the newbies only doing the selling.

it is rarely about predicting a certain trend in the market, specially in short term and when it comes to bitcoin. it is about reacting to the market as fast as possible. for instance yesterday's drama with Goldman Sachs and  the altcoin dump that was mainly centered on ETH and that article talking about its doom which even made Vitalik make a comment on it, was a big ass sign saying there is going to be a big ass drop.
the whole point is how different people react to that kind of sign. it became obvious around the time when price was about $7000-$6900 a sell then would have been a good idea.

similarly the 111kBTC had the potential to become similar but the market did not react to it. part of speculation is speculating that drop but also waiting to see if you were right about it or not.
1159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish outlook for BTC - will it last? on: September 06, 2018, 08:23:01 AM
The cryptocurrency market is f***ing pathetic. One piece of bad news sends it into a tail spin towards $0. Can you imagine if this news hit a fiat currency like the EUR or USD? There would be absolutely no change in valuation. Imagine if there were 3-4 of these bad news in a row? It would probably send Bitcoin down to $1,000, knocking 90% off the market capitalization. Can't wait to get out of this pathetic market.
Isn't this perfect for traders? They earn with volatility.
And I highly doubt few bad news effect would sum up. The only one selling because of the news are those who are new in the market. I think I would only sell certain currency if a news about exploited blockchain would come out, or something like that - technical problem.
Anyway good luck with your exit and see ya in next bull run. Wink

the bold part is wrong.
experienced traders and newbies both sell based on news. the difference is in the timing of them. the experienced trader sells when he sees a negative news and signs of a drop based on speculation and he sells when there still is time.
the newbie on the other hand sells based on panic and based on the fact that price has already fallen and he does it way too late when price is near the bottom.

and selling is not "exiting", selling is taking advantage of the opportunity (for the first group) and is losing money (for the second group). a speculator or a day trader increases his wealth this way and a newbie decreases it.
1160  Economy / Economics / Re: blockchain and voting on: September 06, 2018, 08:03:31 AM
in my opinion, next is Venezuela that will create new innovations and changes in the crypto world.

don't compare Japan with Venezuela dude. the situation is completely different in these two countries. in Japan they have seen the potential of bitcoin and also the blockchain technology as both the decentralized currency and then the technology to use in other spaces.
but in Venezuela they have only seen the technology and how they can make profit by creating their own personal altcoin to make money. I doubt that this country really does anything innovative in the crypto-space.
