1501  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent price patterns on: July 14, 2018, 09:04:43 AM
these price changes are strange and new to you because you are looking at how much $$$ price goes up and down instead of looking at how many %%% it is going up and down.
for instance you mentioned "200 USD"  that amount means $200 in $6200 or in percentage terms that is about 3% rise which is nothing. if you look at the charts during the stable phases like this you can see price changes up and down in a range lower than 10%.
1502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Altcoins are not independent! on: July 13, 2018, 01:26:49 PM
although that may seem to be true but you have got some stuff wrong.
first of all you say "all" whereas in reality it should be "most" for example while every altcoin is seemingly going down there are other coins that are rising. mostly because altcoins are pump and dumps and money doesn't just exit the market because some coins are dropping. instead that money goes elsewhere and starts making profit there. for example you can see BTG which is a shitcoin and got pumped today 20%!

second who is to say that bitcoin is going down them altcoin following? I say people are dumping altcoins and since there are 1800+ of them they are even bringing bitcoin down. and when they are done dumping bitcoin can rise again while they join their graves.
1503  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cool Bitcoin QR generator on: July 13, 2018, 11:16:15 AM
Those bubbly bitcoin logos around the main square section makes it look ugly rather than fancy, don't you think so?

those bubbly things around the QR are not a part of the final result. it is some weird designing choice that they put there. I don't think it is that bad though. the result will only be the QR code with a bitcoin logo in the middle of it and also an additional orange boarder around the whole thing. if you download the result you will see it.
something like the donation QR at the bottom.

to OP, your system does not recognize Bech32 addresses which are bitcoin addresses starting with bc1, the result is just clean QR without BTC in the middle.

also it would have been best if your system detected each address automatically instead of needing the user to select the coin. for example
- if an address starts with 1 it is most probably bitcoin
- if an address starts with L it is most probably litecoins, D is Dogecoin
- if it starts with bc1 it is 100% bitcoins
- if it starts with bitcoincash: then it is 100% a bitcoin cash address (rip off of bech32 address by BCash people Cheesy)
... a lot more of these conditions which are simple to find.
1504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ETH - a little tech analysis on: July 13, 2018, 10:44:02 AM
In my opinion strong level support of ETH is $400 ,the same like level support a few month ago. Crypto community is bigger and i think ETH and other crypto still in strong demand. From $400 has opportunity to going up again to $800, and when this level breakout the price will keep going up to more than $1000.

well Ehereum demand is only its ICOs and the hype that surrounds them.
these days this hype is fading away because of many reasons such as competing better platforms for ICOs, ICOs being banned around the world, people not trusting them anymore because they have been losing a lot of money,... and all that means nobody is buying Ether anymore which means there is more dumping than any support line can handle.
1505  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Halving Day Bitcoin in 2020, What is the Effect on Bitcoin Price? on: July 13, 2018, 08:56:43 AM
these rises you are quoting in a strange way happen long after the halving and have nothing to do with the halving itself. the 2013 rise was the famous Mt Gox fake pump and mostly was the willi bot's result which popped and price dropped down afterwards. the 2017 rise was the result of a big growth in the adoption of bitcoin and some mainstream adoption also.

regarding halving and the rise it will be the same as the previous 2 times:
price rise prior to the halving mostly because of the hype and the speculation to put simply people expect a big rise so they start buying to benefit from it so price goes up! then by the time halving happens price will have its correction and come down a little. then slowly since the supply creation rate is reduced it will start rising up.

whether in next halving later will reach new ath again?

there is a lot going on now compared to the previous years so we may end up seeing a new ATH before the halving and another bigger one after it.
1506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading signals group is? on: July 13, 2018, 08:39:55 AM
there are no "signal groups" to begin with that you want the best out of. there are only "pump groups" that they disguise themselves with pretty words like "signal group", "trading group", "technical analysts",... but what they really are doing is that they are telling a bunch of newbies to buy the coins the have bought before so that they can dump it on them and make profit while those newbies lose money.

not to mention that if you are really new to trading you shouldn't be jumping in with your eyes closed. you should instead start learning how to trade first.
1507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin upto 20,000$ December 2018 on: July 13, 2018, 08:18:18 AM
Bitcoin goes up to 20,000 $in December 2018 or below the 20,000$ P

Bitcoin will be luckly if it makes it back to $10000. It is struggling very badly to get past $7000, it's made several attempts but the sellers are out in force.

The other problem is that there is no new money coming in, the public and the press have lost interest.

it is more like it has been trying to break below $6000 support multiple times and failing each time rather than the opposite. and it is testing the bottoms while an accumulation phase is going on. the new money is actually coming in even if the price doesn't move or go up. it is the trend that matters otherwise adoption is not something that just stops out of nowhere.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan internal report: Bitcoin is here to stay on: July 13, 2018, 06:51:53 AM
JPMorgan is the clear definition of a paradox.
the CEO calls bitcoin "fraud" then later on we find out JPMorgan have been buying bitcoin. they talk about how bad bitcoin is and how it is going to die then they have a report like this saying it is here to stay!

this part was specifically funny and paradoxical:
Quote
JPMorganPMorgan has predicted that cryptocurrencies, such as Ripple, ..., Ethereum, .... are here to stay.
Investors would invest in it for decentralization,
1509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchange In Japan Is Offering Bitcoin Loan on: July 13, 2018, 06:31:23 AM
Japanese Cryptocurrency exchange Bitbank has made an announcement to commence BTC-USD, a Bitcoin borrowing program. The idea has been developed to engage more new customers along with enhancing additional foreign exchange.
https://www.owltmarket.com/cryptocurrency-exchange-in-japan-is-offering-bitcoin-loan/
Wow this is really an innovative strategy to promote bitcoin. Bitcoin has relatively gone so far on its mileage of achievement though there are many critics on it but still bitcoin continue to strive and prove its worth. Well i had enough loan on bank and i am not qualified on this even if they offer it outside on their country.
Exchanges in Japan looks like banks, they applied KYC and AML regulations, so using a loan in BTC seems very similar when you use a normal bank's loan. The difference is that if you don't have incomes in BTC, you can have a problem with the exchange rate (e.g. if the BTC price goes to the moon, you have to pay back much more in fiat compared to the amount you have received in the beginning)

based on this, their name (BitBank) and reading about them it seems like they are really trying to become a real bank but a bitcoin bank, maybe the first of its kind. it would be interesting to see how that turns out to be like though in a couple of years for instance. the first established bitcoin bank offering all kinds of services that a bank offers: loans, accounts with profit when you make a deposit, safety deposit boxes for storing your valuable physical stuff like paper wallets so it can even take smaller place, debit cards,...

all of it is still against bitcoin and its decentralization but it would be interesting to see how it turns out.
1510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's faith will reach $ 60,000 this year ? Is Impact definite? on: July 13, 2018, 06:10:39 AM
entrepreneurs and founders

it is not "entrepreneurs and founders" it is just one person who is rather new to bitcoin world and he has a new business which is mostly what he is advertising here. and he said it will go to $60k this year and that is simply impossible.

saying "I predicted the bottom right" just reduces his credibility instead of increasing it because it shows how little he understands the bitcoin market and how desperate he is for saying he is right.
1511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC parabolic bull run will not happen everytime on: July 12, 2018, 04:54:36 PM
While most of the people are awaiting the massive bull run like in 2017 winter again, it will not be a case again.  While I wish BTC to go into new ATH before the end of this year, I think that reaching 13K to 14K gradually testing every pivotal point before the end of this year is more realistic and more healthy for the market too.

I am bullish in Bitcoin doesn't mean I am expecting parabolic run every time bulls ticks on.  The 20K level that bitcoin reached last year was a enormous craze and mostly FOMO and/or may be manipulation which will not happen again and again.  So, the people who bought at 20K will have to wait for few more years for that massive bull run to return, that's why they always says "patience is key".

you know what you are doing here? you are doing the same thing as those people you are talking about but doing it in other direction. you say last year's massive bull run will not be repeated this year but you go on to saying that the previous bear market (taking few years) will be repeated!!!

and for that, you are just as wrong as them.
just because something happened in the past it doesn't mean it should happen again.
- just because we had a massive rise last year doesn't mean we should have that every year
- also just because last time the bear market took a long time it doesn't mean each time it should take just as long.
1512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 1 year change on: July 12, 2018, 04:47:54 PM
bitcoin has always been good in the long run. that is why most people are mainly accumulating bitcoin disregarding the short term prices. they just buy and hold. this is also where the term HODL comes from. the reason for that is simply because of the potential of bitcoin and the fact that the adoption will happen slowly at first and with the small size of the bitcoin market it is prone to high volatility like this in short term.
1513  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 11, 2018, 07:31:09 AM

Meanwhile another user wins 0.26240036 BTC with just 70 tickets! I wish I was that lucky. Smiley

Hopefully the next time, a user with 50 tickets will win  Grin. I always buy 50 lottery tickets (I opted to double my reward points instead of the free lottery tickets).
Always nice to have a dream  Cheesy

50 tickets will get you with such a good payout? So how about mine which can generate around 10k satoshi each week and always tried to buy that? How much ia the chance for me to win 1st? Grin. Btw I already doing this for almost a year but never got anything back, instead I keep losing my deposit all the time Grin

I too trying more than a year until now still waiting for my turn as well. Its nothing to do with how many tickets you have but it all depends on your luck mainly in a lottery to win. More number of tickets may increase your chance to win but at the same time, you will be taking more risk to lose money in case if you don't win anything. Just keep trying your luck with a small amount every week which you can afford to lose.

It has everything to do with how many tickets you buy and you can even determine the percentage of chance by just looking at the feature that was supplied by the site to determine that. Yes, some people win the Lottery with say 50 tickets, but the change of that happening is very small and the site will tell you in advance what the probability of that would be.

Go look at all the previous Lottery results <It is there too> and see for yourself, how many people have won the Lottery with less than 100 tickets in the past and also who are the people who has won it the most.  Grin

that is true but one of the best things about this site is that it has the option to get lottery tickets for free. so you don't necessarily have to be investing in then and risking your money. for instance I have been trying to gather more referrals since each roll they claim gives me an additional ticket. so far I am up to about 100-200 tickets per week. just having the chance to win a nice prize (like the 0.26BTC) is awesome. not to mention that I am making profit from their rolls and also my investment there per day.
1514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fundstrat’s Robert Slyumer: Bitcoin Must Rally Through $6,300 on: July 11, 2018, 07:18:35 AM
We must lose all the pathetic newbies holding bitcoin. They must be annihilated. Please sell already, you don't deserve to own a single satoshi. Only individuals ready to get rich must own bitcoin, the rest must hold fiat and other liabilities. Once all the morons are off the ship then nobody will be willing to sell for these ridiculous prices. The elites are buying your cheap coins and you don't even know it. Sad!

Relax and let them sell and dump it down to $1,000 if they want to. Hahaha.

Buying at the most possible low it can reach was what everyone wanted, right? There it is. Now go look for a job, a second job, do anything to earn fiat, and be ready to buy the dip.

that is good and all when you are just talking about it but in reality the problem with waiting for the dip to buy is that you will end up waiting forever. I am not saying the dip you are waiting for doesn't happen but I am saying that in any case you will never buy because either the dip you hope for (like $1000) never happens or when it happens you decide that it is not the bottom so you wait some more and end up never buying back.
1515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy $20k when bitcoin falls to $1? on: July 11, 2018, 06:13:56 AM
... it falls to $1 Then I buy 20,000 dollars worth of bitcoin at $1 per bitcoin

I am willing to bet that even if price fell down to $1 you still wouldn't buy bitcoin.

why? simply because of your mindset. someone who waits for a ridiculously low price to buy, will always wait. and it is not just this imaginary topic. it is always this way with people like you.
for example when price was $20k they said we have missed the below $10k price to buy and wish we could go back in time, then price fell down and they said we want lower price and to this day the yare waiting for $5k to happen then it will be $4k then it will be  $3k and it will continue forever until price starts rising up.
then it goes from $6k to $7k and these people start wishing for $6k to buy, then price goes to $9k and they wish they would have bought at $7k .... this also goes on until we break into the next rally and start going up then they start FOMO buying at a much higher price near the peak like buying at $30,000!
1516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Jumps Above $6800! What might have caused this sudden rise? on: July 11, 2018, 06:04:30 AM
I still think the $ 500 move up or down is normal. "Perhaps the bullish momentum gained from the last days is the reason for this rise." So there is no reason to worry about it. The question is, will this upward trend continue?

Exactly. $500 in a few days is nothing when it's about Bitcoin. We got more than that before. It can even do the opposite if we check today it has lost near the same. It's just a normal up and down like Bitcoin has always got. I am not able to identify a trend showing the market is going to come back

you shouldn't say "$500" you should instead say the percentage equivalent of it which in this case is about 7%. that way everything comes into a better perspective because it shows the real size of the growth/drop. for instance $500 rise when price was $500 meant a 100% rise which took about a year to happen. but with today's price a $500 rise is just a tiny daily fluctuations. but some people sometimes look at the amount of the rise and call it things like "pump"!!!
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin As Paper Notes Useful? thoughts? on: July 11, 2018, 05:42:27 AM
your thoughts? pros and cons to this concept.?

to be honest I don't see any pros, all I see is cons to this.
it has been discussed before too, many times. some people want to see bitcoin in physical form but even they would never use it in that form because it would require trusting that centralized entity that is issuing those physical coins.
there is one way of doing it such as the collectible physical coins but they are only used for collection not for transactions and they do actually contain private keys which you can reveal and spend them.

besides why would anyone want to use paper bitcoin when there is paper fiat?
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are hacking issues alone responsible for cryptocurrency price drop? on: July 11, 2018, 05:28:53 AM
it is just people finding a patterns, you can see this is already a 1 month old news and we had another similar one yesterday like this which led to a similar result. although there are differences since bitcoin is already at the bottom and can not go any lower but the altcoins have not been at their bottoms so they got dumped a lot more.

basically people see the hack news, then speculate a drop so they act fast and they themselves cause the drop by acting on their speculation and then sometimes (like last month) there are some manipulations and panic sells with it and the drop becomes bigger.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can lightning network help Bitcoin? on: July 11, 2018, 05:26:30 AM
I think that the lightning network is not needed anymore, the price is more than good at the moment and you can send transactions with a fee of less than five cents each, so, it is not needed

do you think bitcoin adoption has come to a stop and no more person is going to start using bitcoin anymore?!!! why is that?

the adoption is just getting started. we aren't even at 1% yet, let alone be at the end of the road. Lightning Network is something that will help when this adoption grows more. when there is more usage and thousands of transactions per second instead of per block (~10min).
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Crypto exchanges behaviour- what's your opinion? on: July 11, 2018, 05:15:49 AM
the market is still young and the number of investors is growing so it is understandable to see that there are more exchanges being created to satisfy the demand of this many investors. in a way it is actually a good thing if you ask me because it is always better to have more than just one option.

for example back in 2013 there was only 1 exchange called Mt Gox which was huge and then there were a couple of others which were small with negligible volume. the hack of Mt Gox and their manipulations damaged bitcoin a lot. today we have at least 10 exchanges which are equally big for bitcoin trading.
the more exchanges we have for bitcoin and altcoins the better it will be.
