1301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big pop up again on: August 13, 2018, 10:40:53 AM
As we approached sub $6k and actually hit $5.9k... we see another huge pump to $6400. Impressive, a $500 dollar move up just like that, on a single candle. Someone bought a pretty decent amount of coins.

The theory of how that $5k-6k price range is the diamond solid ground in which miners will never let bitcoin go below is shaping up. Governments want to take the price down and tank it so they can buy it all but someone (maybe rich miners and other whales) keep using that range as the reverse point. Let's see if it holds. We have touched this same point so many times that the theory might be right.
We should not celebrate this as the market is generally bearish.  I think we are going to have corrections back to below $6000 in days to come as investors are having doubts of ETF approval.

I still don't think price an fall below $6000 without ETF rejection. doubts are not enough reason for people to start selling their coins and for the buyers (the buy support at $6k) to stop buying as we were proven a day before. but if ETF is rejected (which is very likely!) we can see a big panic sell drop.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investors Eye Turkey As Lira Plummets 20% on: August 13, 2018, 07:48:47 AM
Unlike Iran, where a ban on bitcoin and cryptocurrency trading means those wanting to buy bitcoin must turn to peer-to-peer exchanges like LocalBitcoins, banks in Turkey often still work with local exchanges, meaning fresh adopters can begin buying and trading more easily.

bitcoin is not banned in Iran. the difference is that there is no centralized exchange in Iran for people to trade at so they have to use peer to peer trading or outside the  country ones and they have been doing that for the past years. so this is not new.
the ban was banning banks from investing in cryptocurrencies and that is not limited to this country. a lot of countries in the world already have such bans.
1303  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 13, 2018, 07:31:29 AM
usually the number of tickets winners have is covering a wide range. like from 400 tickets to 4 million. but this round it seems like the lucky number was around having 25k tickets. basically every 7 or if we want to stretch it a bit 8 including the first one had near that number of tickets ...

Lol, I checked the top 10 of lottery this week and nr 6 won 0.09 BTC with 50 tickets. My hart was pumping as I always buy 50 tickets every round, but I quickly found out that I am not the lucky one  Cheesy. Too bad, would like to win some day (like everybody else on here  Grin)

I like to win with my 200-500 tickets per week which I gain for free. that would feel a lot better Grin
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin Using Free Electricity on: August 13, 2018, 07:19:16 AM
I will not bring miner to school, its too heavy and produce a lot noises. Imagine you bring antminer s9 or GPU to school everyday Roll Eyes

GPU is just your graphic card inside your PC or laptop and it is different from a bitcoin ASIC miner which is a bigger thing with high sound. you can actually use your PC (maybe not laptop) with a strong gaming GPU to mine altcoins. that is still against the rules but at least it is much easier to conceal than an ASIC miner! and the usage can be similar to you just playing games with your PC.
1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Market News on: August 13, 2018, 07:07:59 AM
SEC’s decision has shocked the crypto world as it has postponed the ETF permission of Bitcoin. The panic of getting the price lower and lower is spreading and crypto experts are urging not to sell coins at this time. Once the permission is granted the price will take a huge boost.

maybe you were shocked because you started in this world yesterday but the rest of us who has been around for a longer time or even those newcomers who bothered to checked the history of ETFs and SEC shenanigans knew that they have done something like this before with stretching the decision out as much as they can and finally rejecting it.
if you look around you can see people don't even have that much faith in SEC approving ETF this time around either.
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: here you have it economists speak against bitcoin on: August 13, 2018, 06:53:24 AM
as i told you in threads before the conflict will come

well newbies are always like this. they see some news article posted by one of these big sites that throw in names to increase their legitimacy of the article and then these newbies start thinking this is a valid thing and they thing it is new.
but if you check out the list of articles on the same site for the past 9 years you can see they have been basically posting the same thing with different words every couple of months at least Smiley
in other words what you see as "conflict" is nothing new. and it is more like market manipulation and desperation.
1307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom of BTC descending channel is 3000$? on: August 12, 2018, 11:15:28 AM
no the bottom of the bitcoin descending channels was $6000 which was reached and everything has been over for a while now. although the drama continues and we even see massive dumps (like yesterday) on the market trying to push the price lower below that mark but they all fail and price of bitcoin stays above $6000 with a strong buy support behind it.
we have already bounced off that mark for at least 4 or 5 times now. it can not be broken that easily. it requires some horrifying news or millions of dollars dumped every hour for 1 whole day at least to break it.
1308  Economy / Speculation / Re: it was obvious on: August 12, 2018, 10:46:00 AM
I can not understand why people insist on saying that $6k is not the floor!
we all know that there is a possibility that price drops more but only because it is bitcoin and it is known to be unpredictable at times and show drops or even rises like this out of nowhere but apart from that there is absolutely no other reason for saying that $6k was not the bottom and claiming it will drop lower that this specially since we have seen many times now that it could not be broken into!!!
1309  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price LIVE:BTC in danger of dropping to $4,000 ... on: August 12, 2018, 07:50:17 AM
one of the strongest signals that we usually have in the market that shows the end of the drop is publishing of these nonsense articles and topics all over this forum. so far in the past 4 years that I have been in the bitcoin market I have seen the exact same thing happen inside all of the dips at the bottom.

certain people get desperate wanting to buy bitcoin at even 1% lower than market price and start spreading nonsense like what OP is doing. and so far without an exception price has gone up afterwards because the same people are the same FOMO buyers that will happen as soon as price rises about 10%
1310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you still holding when market price falls abnormally? on: August 12, 2018, 07:47:16 AM
the drop was not that much of an abnormal drop in my opinion. so you can't say it was 100%. and because of it t here was no reason to sell unless you acted faster and sold above $7k or at least around $6.9. otherwise when you let it drop to the bottom and a long time pass at the level that can not go below then there is no point in selling there. for instance selling at  $6000-$6400 is dumb unless you are a veteran day trader.
1311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Without ETF on: August 11, 2018, 05:49:03 AM
bitcoin without ETF would have been worth about $9000 now since that was the trend before the ETF news started coming out and based on previous recoveries that we had we could have been testing the $10k resistance as we speak. but the ETF news disturbed all that and created a temporary state in the market where the uncertainty is dominant among investors which is why the current drop is happening and why everyone has been waiting around for it to conclude before jumping back in and start buying back again.
1312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.S. SEC postponed ETF until end of September. Bitcoin start dump. on: August 11, 2018, 05:28:56 AM
the only thing that ETF did for bitcoin so far has been more drama and a lot of disturbance in the market and the trend that bitcoin could have had naturally. as it was said before we were rising already when the ETF bullshit started and caused problems. I am sure that if they never talked about it or if SEC rejected it the first day we were already at $9000+ by now.

the funny thing is, the same thing happened last year too! we had the ETF hype which caused a lot of drama and price went up then SEC postponed it and it dropped and ... finally when they rejected it the price dropped and as the drama ended price started rising back up again normally and healthily.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bitcoin dominance level is getting much closer to 50%. What does it mean? on: August 11, 2018, 05:13:28 AM
uh man again with the market cap nonsense Cheesy
altcoins get pumped, we hear market cap everywhere. altcoins get dumped we again hear the same market cap everywhere and it still is just as meaningless.
what does it mean? it just means altcoins are continuing to get dumped as they were before and their dumps get more severe at times which means their total market cap of 2000 altcoins drops hard.
1314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is affect of SEC's decision with Bitcoin and crypto market? on: August 10, 2018, 10:23:09 AM
huh, so if when end of December come, we will see the future of Crypto market? I so confused if SEC reject ETF, what will happen? We will see Big dump, or market will come back the start again?
We'll definitely see a dump if ETF is rejected by SEC but Btc will recover slowly tho and the bull season might set back a little. I hope ETF gets approved but its not likely to. The last time SEC approved an ETF was copper which was trading for the past 10 years.

I genuinely hope the opposite happens. meaning I hope they actually reject ETF and it is the likely scenario too in my opinion. I feel like the market needs a wake up call to be reminded that bitcoin does not need ETF to grow and flourish specially when ETF is a centralized thing restricted only to US and is available nowhere else!
1315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex To Launch XRP and ETC Paired With USD!! on: August 10, 2018, 10:11:10 AM
Bittrex, the ...digital currency wallet service

dude an exchange is not a wallet service! specially an exchange like bittrex which has scammed its users and has stolen their funds before!!!

...more USD trading pairs. ...

are you sure it is USD and not TUSD? the first one is real fiat of US, the later is an altcoin like Tether that is worth $1 per token. try not to confuse these two.

What do you think on this??

a desperate attempt to get back the huge volume they lost after their scandal.
1316  Economy / Speculation / Re: The short-term trend for Bitcoin is Up or Down? on: August 10, 2018, 07:27:24 AM
we are stuck in sideways between $6k and $8k and there is a good chance that we continue seeing this for another month until SEC rejects ETF and be done with it so we can have the rise. until then we will continue seeing this slow rise/accumulation whenever price hits the bottom.

I believe we are in long term bear market and this will end after Bitcoin halving in 2020.

chances of such a long bear market (for 2.5 years since it started from beginning of 2018 and halving is in the middle of 2020) is the same as the chances for bitcoin to reach $50,000 by the end of this year.
1317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the 2017 crash “feel” different than the 2014 crash? on: August 10, 2018, 07:04:43 AM
obviously if you just look at "price going down" and nothing else  then they look and feel similar. specially to someone who called bitcoin "worthless internet money" at some point!

but if you look at the market situation, the reason, the sentiment of traders and the adoption that is going on you can see that the two of them are very different.

something funny that your topic reminded me of is the same exact topics of yours back in early 2017 (a year ago) where charts of that time were posted on top of charts of 2013-2014 and they claimed they look exactly the same. and that $1200 is the top and we should see a 3 year bear market Cheesy
1318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: According to the "Bitcoin Misery Index", we're ok on: August 10, 2018, 06:29:22 AM
I think sometimes these things like "the misery index" are created and talked about so that it can give certain people some reason to feel fine!
in my opinion things aren't fine because some index says so. things are more than fine with bitcoin because of the real potential that it has, because of the growing adoption of it which is not going to be stoppable, because of its decentralization and uniqueness and a lot more reasons.
not saying it is a bad thing though. it is actually a good indicator when you think about how it is being measured but I am just pointing out that when it comes to bitcoin you have to think beyond just short term price.
1319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone is free to use Bitcoin as they want on: August 10, 2018, 06:13:27 AM
obviously! but they are not free to disturb everything else because they are using bitcoin as they want. for example the weak hands that have been feeding the whales and panic selling and FOMO buying bitcoin at every turn and increasing the volatility have been disturbing the market. they have been also preventing adoption of bitcoin as a currency because of the huge volatility that they cause. and a lot of other problems.
1320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is this excellent strategy to trade on: August 09, 2018, 11:37:01 AM
technically it is working. you can take a look at altcoin market and see thousands of cases of what you just described in action but it is in no way as simple as what you said. for example "promoting it on social media" which is basically spamming the name of that shitcoin on the internet is not going to make people want to invest in that coin. and just telling people won't get them to invest.
what pumpers do (not the pumping groups) is that they also pump the coin as they are advertising it which requires money and the know-how of it.
