1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New gambling ideas on: May 02, 2018, 08:42:17 AM
just keep in mind that history proves that new games are not usually well received. people are not so willing to start gambling in a game that they have never played before. that is why the market is filled with different dice sites and the variety of games is not that much. it is basically: dice, poker, sports, and maybe two more.
not to mention that "ideas" are valuable. if someone had a niche idea that they knew is going to work they would never share it freely, they would start their own website.
1962  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction on: May 02, 2018, 07:59:06 AM
there is no more reason for the price to go down. we have already had our correction and the drop and then even more drop that we bargained for so it should now have ended. and with the evidence at hand regarding the market and how it has been rising so far we can be sure that it is now on the rise instead of anything else.
with that said unless something big, negative and unexpected happens, we can be sure that price will soon break $10k and continue this slow rise towards the ATH for the time being.
1963  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price analysis on: May 02, 2018, 06:53:04 AM
the important thing you are missing in your numbers is that you are looking at the size of these numbers without paying attention to whether it is a big rise or drop or a small one. for example you say "... drop to $8400..." but you forget that a drop to $8400 from the upper resistance is just a 5-6% drop which is nothing for bitcoin.
as a matter of fact when talking about bitcoin fluctuations anything below 10% is still considered nothing and you can actually consider bitcoin to be stable as long as it is fluctuating within this percentage.

If the local support breaks down as low as possible, the price may drop to the area of $ 8,400. A drop below this mark now seems unlikely, as bulls will use any drawdown of the price for purchases.

so a drop like this is as likely as anything else. most probably it won't last more than an hour if such drop happened but that still doesn't make it unlikely in my opinion.
1964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Stanley Making its Way into Crypto Industry on: May 02, 2018, 06:34:00 AM
as bitcoin grows and attracts a lot of people and investors and consequently a lot of money, it also pushes many of them towards other cryptocurrencies and increases their popularity and volume also. everyone is clearly seeing this, the potential, all the money that is circulating in this market and all the money that could be earned from them. so everyone wants a piece of the action. regular people go for investment, mining, trading ,... the others willing to take bigger risks start a business like gambling site, payment processor, exchanges,... and big players will also get involved with bigger businesses like a big exchange platform.
1965  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Roger Ver to be sued for defrauding bitcoin newbies. on: May 02, 2018, 06:28:00 AM
What if a newbie buys Bitcoin Cash and then believing it to be Bitcoin? What if Bitcoin Cash crashes and Bitcoin climbs to $100,000 with the newbie thinking he struck gold?

it is not about the price. the newbie may buy bitcoin cash and it actually goes to $1 billion billion and bitcoin dies and drops to zero, and it still wouldn't change  what bitcoin.com is doing. they are attempting fraud.

people are looking to buy bitcoin, they go to bitcoin.com and buy what they call bitcoin but receive something else. this is fraud.
imagine you go to Amazon and purchase what they are calling Core i7 CPU but when you receive the shipment and open up the box inside is a Core i3 CPU. if you are a newbie you will install this CPU and always wonder why your computer is not processing as fast.
1966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Nasdaq launch Bitcoin? on: May 02, 2018, 05:34:18 AM
They've said nothing other than it being an interesting idea if crypto develops. That's no more meaningful than them saying they'll become an exchange for Taylor Swift's turds if she produces enough of them, the demand is there and the SEC regulates her anus.

It's really dull how crypto fans grab a vaguely interested noise and spin it into certifiable fact when it can be unverified with five seconds of reading.

that is how cryptocurrency related news has always worked. nobody cares much about facts they only see the front and judge the book by the cover. additionally people have been programmed to only care about the possible effects of the news on the price instead of checking the validity of it. so whenever they read a news (positive or negative) the first thing they think about is "how will this affect the price?" and then based on the answer they act in the market => dump due to FUD and FOMO due to good news.
1967  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price are back up!! on: May 02, 2018, 05:20:47 AM
it is all about the "transition" between two market trends. ever since the start of this year that price started dropping lower and lower we were in a big bear market that ended up with a huge drop (nearly 70% from ATH). but a couple of weeks ago this trend started reversing and the bear market ended that day and this here is the "transition" between the bear market into a bull market. so it takes time and it be slow and with lots of sideways like this until it  finds a foothold.
1968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Expectation of investment return from BTC. on: May 02, 2018, 05:10:40 AM
Some people invest in BTC for long period of time with an expectation of large amount. And some people invest for short period of time with an aim to short gain by using the volatility. Which one you choose most? and Why? Just sharing ideas.

both! there is no rule saying you should only choose one and stick to one at all times.
long term investment is definitely the easiest thing and that is what I will always do no matter what else I am doing. in other words I always have some amount of bitcoin put away in my cold storage which I am not going to touch for many years.
at the same time I am doing some trades whenever I have the time and more importantly whenever I find the market most predictable. that way I can increase the amount of bitcoin that I already have for my long term investment.
1969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many Bitcoin users have fear of governments? on: April 30, 2018, 11:06:13 AM
because unfortunately whenever price rises it attracts a certain type of people who rush in with their eyes closed. they don't educate themselves and are usually brainless. they don't even understand what bitcoin is and what a decentralized currency truly means. they just listen to some other idiot FUDster to talk some nonsense in their ears and they follow it like a sheep.

Like government is some evil devil that will destroy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But is this realy so, do such claims have any reasonable ground at all?

funny you should mention this. it usually isn't! we keep seeing topics around here by newbies saying government is set out to kill bitcoin or some of them are even claiming they have already banned bitcoin! I don't even know where they get these nonsense from!
1970  Economy / Speculation / Re: 7k by tonight Sunday on: April 30, 2018, 10:50:51 AM
bitcointalk is in serious need of a new Newbie Jail again to eliminate all these random newbie guesses that they try to pass as "speculation" just because they wish to see a lower price so that they can fix the mistakes they have made back when they themselves listened to a random guess made by a newbie trying to fulfill their own wish!
1971  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to deposit at bittrex on: April 30, 2018, 10:36:21 AM
I would suggest to not use Bittrex unless you have and willing to verify your account using your document such as Passport or ID Card.

I suggest not using bittrex under any circumstances even if you are willing to verify your account. there are other good exchanges like Binance that you can always use without the dirty history that bittrex has. my philosophy is that when someone (like bittrex owners) scams people once they will do it again if they get the chance to and I am not willing to give it to them.
1972  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List of Cryptocurrency events scheduled to take place from 30/4-1/5 on: April 30, 2018, 10:27:52 AM
I want to say Monero because of the hard fork but I have heard a rumor that poloniex is going to remove Monero pairs from its platform and that can never be a good thing.
although if this is true we may see a pump before the removal where price shoots up (since it has happened with other coins in the past) and then comes down as the date for it is reached.
1973  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hilarious FUD article about Bitcoin of course being doomed on: April 30, 2018, 06:43:34 AM
all these dumb FUDs on the internet have one thing in common and that is the fact that they are all poorly written and are 100% ineffective. these dumb people who make these FUDs think just because they are talking against bitcoin they are spreading FUD but if you ask me we shouldn't even be calling them FUD because a real FUD is a well thought misleading article that is based on facts, is well written and has a good timing that is why they are effective.

in any case this dumbness can easily be detected by anyone who has been around for a short while to see at least 2 of these bullshits Cheesy
1974  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Roger Ver to be sued for defrauding bitcoin newbies. on: April 30, 2018, 06:18:45 AM
I have no idea whether a lawsuit could be won against him, but I would certainly welcome it Tongue
How does he have the audacity to call that trash Bitcoin fork the real Bitcoin. Imagine that newbies send their freshly bought Bitcoins to a BCH address by mistake.

Could definitely see some of those mistakes happen due to newbies getting confused by false statements like that.

But what if Roger Ver wins the lawsuit, would that give him a precedent to counter sue and use the win as a legal advantage to force the exchanges to use the "BTC" ticker for Bitcoin Cash?

Plus would the win, if he wins, mean that "Bitcoin Cash" and "Bitcoin Core" are both "BTC" and both have the right to use the ticker?

How can he win? There is nothing in the Bitcoin <BTC> Whitepaper that refer to Bitcoin as Bitcoin Core, so that in itself is misrepresentation. He is using www.Reddit.com/r/BTC as a platform to promote Bitcoin Cash <a fork from Bitcoin> and that is your next misrepresentation.

The guy is a scumbag and a snake oil salesman and he needs his day in court. <He has been there before, so it will not be something new to him>

Let him use his money for something constructive and not for sabotaging Bitcoin <BTC>

ever since they failed to gain any traction in the market and because people rejected their crap and everyone considers it as an altcoin, they started to undermine bitcoin by calling it a different name "bitcoin core" as if they wanted to pretend bitcoin is the altcoin and their shitcoin is the bitcoin. recently he went as far as using BTC for bitcoin cash and if we let him he is going to use a new ticker for bitcoin to further mislead users.
there has already been reports of newbies buying BCH by mistake because the second search result (bitcoin.com) is calling bitcoin cash, bitcoin and uses BTC as its short form. and that in fact is fraud because he is selling the wrong thing. it is like buying an iPhone but receiving a Nokia instead.
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker demands Bitcoin ransom on hacked website on: April 30, 2018, 05:36:20 AM
this looks more like the conversation between two scumbags Cheesy
the first one is the hacker who is obviously a scumbag for hacking the other person and stealing their money. but the second one is also a scumbag because he is trying to bullshit the bullshitter by trying to convince him to accept some useless shitcoin instead of valuable bitcoin because he is trying to get rid of some useless tokens...
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Evolution of currencies on: April 30, 2018, 05:28:59 AM
OP is poorly rephrasing the same old argument about "bitcoin mining power usage" which has became heated for about a year now and it is a pointless argument because it is based on the fact that the starters of this argument think bitcoin is only used on exchanges where people trade it to make money. they do not know or care that bitcoin is a lot more than that, it is giving us a freedom from banks and centralized money.
1977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Next resistance at 9.7k. What are your thoughts on May movement? on: April 29, 2018, 10:23:04 AM
the discussions about this being a bull "trap" ended days ago as soon as price showed a huge buy support and a very solid rise behind it. this is considered as the starting point of the bull run now.

I agree with the rest of the things you said except that I think we may see a bigger rise after the $10k resistance was broken because of some short term FOMO buying that can take place after that.
regarding altcoins I am currently staying away because bitcoin is rising and it can cause a lot of instability among altcoins and I don't want to lose money.
1978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do whales mainpulate the market? on: April 29, 2018, 08:03:54 AM
While I am trying to learn about manipulation, I found this.
https://twitter.com/HeyRhett/status/990367593923055621
Other than whales cycling the profit, I realize there can also be bad actors trying to manipulate the market. That's bad especially for those who have no idea what the market is about. Maybe also that's why people say hodling is the best strategy.

that tweet is the least related to this subject that is being discussed here, mainly because it is posted by a person who is tweeting about a bitcoin fork himself, possibly the dev of the said coin!
in any case twitter is a good example of whale manipulation of altcoin market. there are lots of pump groups most of which are just kidding themselves and scamming newbies who follow them but some big ones are also exploiting the newbishness of investors and making profit from their idiocy.
1979  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 29, 2018, 07:03:53 AM

I think the member is referring to the faucet side of this site. You are taking funds that are channelled to the faucet, not some

"trick" to beat the gambling side of this site. The faucet is much like a charity, because it gives FREE money to strangers.

To me it does not matter who you are stealing this money from, you are still taking money in a dishonest manner and that

is wrong.  Angry
I do not want to tell you about what is right and what is not.
about charity, I will only say one thing - if you want to donate money - donate them to a charitable foundation, and do not encourage people to gamble.

I do agree that faucet money is not a charity because gambling site owner giving this free money to encourage people to spend more time on the site so that some of the members may attract to other features of the site and finally they can spend their money on those features.

Initially, site owners were making a good money from advertisements but when Google Adsense banned their account but now he is getting more profit from the hi-low game. If they don't make a profit from the site then they will also stop this so-called charity work.

true, the focus of this site was on being a faucet with a side of dice, that is why the house edge of it is higher too. which meant google ads and they also use to have banner ad space on their website for people to place their advertisement there. but it was removed shortly after the google thing, and from then the focus shifted to becoming a dice site and all the rest of the additions such as investment, mining, lottery,...
1980  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warren Buffett on buying bitcoin: 'That is not investing' on: April 29, 2018, 06:39:18 AM
it has been some time that I have been waiting for this news to come out and we finally see the wallet addresses that belong to Warren Buffet which hold at least 1000 bitcoin and  counting. and we will finally see that he has been investing in bitcoin silently while telling everyone else not to do it because he wanted a lower price for his purchases throughout the years as he slowly parks a large amount of money in bitcoin.
