1981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Centralized and decenterlized what is best for Crypto market....??? on: April 29, 2018, 06:22:34 AM
The the government of some countries are against the Bitcoin and some are ready to adopt Bitcoin. So what would effect on btc if any government approv the Bitcoin is a legal tender.

your title and your comment are not the same as each other! unless you are mistaking government approval with being centralized... because they are not the same. for example you can see what Japan, Germany and a couple of other  countries did. they have already adopted bitcoin as a legal method of payment aka a legal currency and that didn't centralize anything instead it increased the adoption of bitcoin by a large number of people including merchants and also led to a huge price rise.
1982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2018, 05:58:36 AM
I think you read to many FUDs online which is why you think "so many" countries have banned cryptocurrencies. you need to stop that. the media is filled with a lot of bullshit these days and while you are busying yourself with those, the wise money is being invested in bitcoin and the future belongs to those who act today.

in any case in rare cases when a country banned bitcoin, if you study the country itself you can see they have a very corrupted country in general from the top to bottom is corrupted. both people and government which is why they ban things like bitcoin because they don't want anything messing with their corruption.
1983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't care about the price now. Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth on: April 28, 2018, 11:44:23 AM
That is one way to go about it but you would be best served checking in on your investments from time to time. Your nonchalant behavior makes me think you have an amount invested you could lose yet still retire early from and that would give me confidence as well. Even if you do check price regularly, there wouldn't be a point to disclose your portfolio often. That puts an unnecessary bulls eye target on your back.
That is really how everyone should be investing in this market, most especially when you are looking at the long term benefit. Invest what you would not worry about and come back few years later to check how your investments have been doing over the years.

This is the only way to stay in this game without bothering yourself about every little move in the market as long as you understand the benefit you stand to gain in the future. I remember buying few ETH last year at around $8. Just last year, come on! While some people are crying about the market going way low to $400, you are imagining how much you have gained even with the dip.

Well, everyone has the right to invest as they wish, no one is pointing a gun to your head. God only knows that people "invest" with all kinds of intentions. No real right or wrong. Without the panic sellers, the fomo buyers, the day traders, the Sunday investor and the Wall St futures trader, we won't have a market that is what it is today.

I don't check prices every day for sure, but it is always curiosity that keeps an eye on it. Can't say I wouldn't sell at 100k. Can say I would.

but I can say that I will definitely sell at $100k, just like I sold at $1000, $2000, .... selling is actually a good thing in my opinion, just as good as buying is. the key is knowing when and how much to sell. for example if I have 10 bitcoin I am not going to sell all of it just because price has gone up to $100k or whatever else. I sell a little like 0.01 bitcoin just to enjoy the profit or get my hands dirty with some speculation and trading.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth Worth $30. Is it possible? on: April 28, 2018, 11:26:28 AM
Am I the only one here, in the contrary of patiently waiting for eth to dump like hell?

I think yes, you are the only person who is waiting for that specific dump. people are waiting for dumps but a smaller dump in ETH to jump on board like they are mad so it won't go that low yet. but I do believe that ETH will eventually stop getting pumped and will be dumped majorly and will go below $100 but by that time it won't be a good investment anymore because it will not stay around much longer since it is a terrible project anyways.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino in Las Vegas Accepting bitcoin - Land based and huge sign infront! on: April 28, 2018, 08:27:01 AM
this is great, thanks for sharing the picture here. I have always wondered when the real land-based casinos are going to start accepting bitcoin and start competing with all these online gambling sites that are already doing it and have taken a lot of their customers.

On the downside, I would guess they don't offer bitcoin withdrawal. They have a system in place to report earnings in excess of $10,000 to the US government for tax purposes(and also supposedly a system to detect attempts @ tax evasion). Their system utilizes fiat and so I would guess cash out is in dollars only.

they will always have a much harder time fighting tax evasion with people who are using cash in their casinos and don't even leave a trace behind! with bitcoin there will at least be a transaction (a trace) on the blockchain for the whole world to see Cheesy
1986  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 20 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: April 28, 2018, 07:59:10 AM
Yeah, I like everything in the new version of PrimeDice except for the one thing. I'd like to have the ability to view my transactions like it was in the old version. I don't know what were the reasons for removing the feature, maybe they were valid, but I really miss it because I was using it frequently. For example it was possible to see who tipped you when you were out, or when you made your last deposit or withdrawal. Is it technically too hard to keep the feature?
They shouldnt remove that feature on where you can able to see the history of transactions because every gambler do always look out into their recent transactions not only to the game itself but also into tips. They might able to hear us out and they might able to get it back. Grin if you are a long time gamer of the site you will really feel the changes.

Hello guys, you can still access your transactions by clicking the Account menu, then choose Settings, and finally, choose the Transactions tab. Best of luck! Smiley
Why has the faucet been reduced significantly even for old accounts?
I remember there was a time when I used to get 4.5k satoshi faucet on primedice. Now its not even 100satoshi faucet.

I wish the faucet could be again increased for oldies and regular people on the site.

faucet amounts are usually reduced because of the increasing bitcoin price so the gambling sites don't want to be giving away too much bitcoin at a time. but also this is what usually happens with popularity of these sites, since one of the main purposes of the faucets is to help people test the platform and get people to just play without even depositing anything and see if they like the game, the more popular the sites get the less they will be needing faucets. so they reduce the amount. there is also the "farmers" who abuse the faucet and force the dice sites to reduce it to make it harder for them!
1987  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin in for another low? on: April 28, 2018, 07:32:40 AM
We've seen thus far that when the stock market does poorly, it affects the crypto market in a similar fashion.

maybe something like this happened only once in the past 9 years but any other time the exact opposite is happening. meaning if stock market performs poorly, the investors start looking elsewhere to make profit so they take their money and invest it in bitcoin making bitcoin price rise even faster.

ignoring all that, we have already had our big bear market with a HUGE drop. there won't be any more drops. and now the trends has also reversed so there is not even a sign of drop to be seen! all the signals are pointing to a rise.

(there is something wrong with that link by the way)

Yes, but I think for the moment we have found a resistance at around $9,300-ish. If we break it, I believe price will skyrocket as we will pass the psychological $10,000 mark.

As for OP, past behavior of the market isn’t useful to predict future behavior. We can see some regularities while interpreting the past, but especially in this field, we can’t make accurate predictions.

I still think the resistance is at $10000 not any lower. there is currently a nice accumulation phase going on and with it there will always be some light FUD going on to try and push the price down a little more so that they can fill their lowball buy orders that they placed below $9000 level. otherwise they will continue buying above it until the breakout occurs.

1989  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: some good info about bitcoin on: April 28, 2018, 07:01:24 AM
most of them using bitcoin

one thing about cryptocurrency users is that they all first find out about bitcoin then they find out about alternative cryptocurrencies or altcoins. this means they all have a bitcoin wallet and some amount of bitcoin in it then they may or may not have some altcoins too. it is never the other way around so saying "most" here is choosing the wrong world. it should be "all".
1990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Patent from 2014 seeks to de-anonymize crypto transactions on: April 28, 2018, 06:38:14 AM
It is called Privacy. Why do organizations like Amazon need to know what your spending habits are

to make more money of course!
there is a huge market for it. from advertisers to government. and when there is a demand for some service there will be supply for it at some point too. for example there have been hacks of exchanges, wallet hacks,... scams, Ponzi schemes that ran way,... and  lot of things like that. their company can advertise that they can catch these people and get paid to "try". and there is always the government that they can sell this information to!

in any case this is old news and it is not the first company to offer such services. and won't be the last.
1991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Make Bitcoin Different With Another Coin? on: April 28, 2018, 06:28:36 AM
which has the same function with bitcoin? such as ETH,

the main difference is that majority of the people supporting bitcoin (specially those who came before the ATH in 2017) understand bitcoin enough not to make mistakes like this.
you don't even know that ETH is a token and not a currency and you still say it has the same function! ETH and BTC are not even in the same category to be compared to each other!!!

and I suggest you do some search. this question you asked here has been asked at least 10000 times. in fact it is being asked almost every 2 days.
1992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bubbles a good thing? on: April 26, 2018, 11:05:44 AM
it is certainly an interesting point of view towards bubbles but I still wouldn't  call bubbles good.

Once popped we are left with cheap infrastructure that can be snapped at a huge discount with companies with the same goal. Because the costs are so much cheaper it makes it was easier to operate long term.

it would be cheaper compared to the peak but still not cheap compared to when they get in early. for example when bitcoin latest bubble burst price came down to $10k+ and even after all the FUD and manipulation,.... the price went down to near $6000. it is cheaper than the ATH obviously but it is not cheaper compared to those companies that came in last year when price was $1000 or even late last year near the end of the year when it was $4000
1993  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price checker windows app ?? on: April 26, 2018, 10:43:01 AM
it looks too simple but good. I prefer a little bit more graphical interface myself. also add a little chart under your Logging (To Chart!). if I am not mistaken Windows Forms which you seem to be using already has a chart option that can draw a line chart for you.

in any case you can call me paranoid but I still wouldn't download any .exe file from a developer without a history that I don't know. it doesn't matter what the file is or how big or small the size of it is. Wink
1994  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beware of Binance!! on: April 26, 2018, 10:19:23 AM
@Pursuer  Thanks for the info! Can you name some of them so I can check them out?

unfortunately I have never really used any of them myself to give you personal opinion. I have only checked them out. I know of Bisq, Bitshares, EtherDelta and Openledger.
someone actually made a neat little topic listing them with their links and pros and cons. there is a lot more names on there too. check it out here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2906237.0
1995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MARGIN - Yes or NO on: April 26, 2018, 09:06:17 AM
as long as you can do traditional trading (buy low sell high) and make a lot of profit specially when we have the manipulated altcoin market where they get huge pumps, I do not see any reason for using margin trading. it is so much riskier than normal trades and there has been a lot of reports of people getting hyped up and losing a lot of money trying to "win"!
all I know is that this market is pretty volatile and that makes it nearly impossible to predict and margin trading needs more predictability than any other trading strategy in my experience.
1996  Economy / Speculation / Re: After " Destroying Bitcoin " prices went up on: April 26, 2018, 08:31:55 AM
people no longer care about FUD like this one here anymore. this method is getting too old and see through. if they wanted to have a real effective FUD they need to come up with a better plan and fresh FUD otherwise when the same thing is repeated the first thing that everyone is going to think is the previous failed FUDs with the same subject and they simple ignore the new copycat one.
1997  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price Pullback on: April 26, 2018, 08:24:22 AM
Anyone without any experience should easily be able to predict from the weight of historical evidence that this wasn't only expected but inevitable. A bit silly to still be talking in terms of 20k so soon, but even if you wanted to, trace the previous road to ATH and it wasn't dissimilar at all. I do wonder what the benchmark is now for patient long term waits. People still refuse to think in months, much less years.

it is mainly because the most vocal people are newbies and they don't know what long term even means let alone knowing what the potential of bitcoin is going to be like. they will simply see it if they stop reading FUD online and start zooming out of the charts to see the chart for a couple of years instead of seeing it for a couple of days.
this profit taking in short term is slowing the rise down though. I don't think it is as strong as before, we may still see $10k+ before the month ends.
1998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study Result: Halal Bitcoin In accordance with Islamic Sharia on: April 26, 2018, 07:08:48 AM
I don,t think just because of this fatwa most of muslims going to accept this many groups and most of them have own logic and right now if some one doing with this bitcoin its not on based of Halal or Haram if some one have good benefit he is using this main thing is study and understanding this technology not these fatwas I read Qatar banned bitcoin and cryptocurrency and some other countries also doing this just for own financial problems

actual bitcoin bans rarely happen. in fact there are only 2 countries in the whole world that have actually banned bitcoin and one of them is Bangladesh. I have never heard anything about Qatar so my first assumption is that it was false news that you read and a lot of FUD.
most of the times there are just restrictions or funny thing is that sometimes government don't consider bitcoin as a currency so they say you can not use bitcoin to pay your taxes for example then the news calls this a "ban"!!!
1999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become centralized with Lightning Network ? on: April 26, 2018, 06:55:08 AM
what you are saying doesn't even make sense! lets ignore all the discussions about Lightning Network and how it is decentralized for a moment. LN is something that is going to work on top of bitcoin, it is called a second layer, how can something that is a secondary layer centralized the underlying and main layer which is bitcoin itself?
2000  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trading bot and resellers on: April 25, 2018, 10:38:18 AM
the bot developers aren't only reselling. for example Gunbut that you mentioned here is selling his product and has lots of ads in different places including bitcointalk. but the reselling option is also available mainly because it helps "spread the word".
now the problem here is that a bot is not something that should be used by everyone! specially when they are new to trading itself. ignoring this fact a lot of them buy bots because they think it is magically going to make them profit. then failing to make any money and losing more that they even imagined they decide to sell their license. for that they exaggerate the capabilities of a bot and bring in even more newbies who think they have bought a magical tool that can make them rich.
after a short while we are left with a market filled with a lot of people trying to resell their license to make up small part of what they have lost so far.
