1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Converting 1 BTC to 100 BTC on: July 10, 2018, 01:26:08 PM
Is it really possible ?
of course it is possible. this is a pump and dump market that we have. there are altcoins that get pumped 1000% in a short time. it is a fast and big profit for those who know how to take advantage of the manipulation in the market and can ride the waves.

Quote
I heard a youtuber making video on it by using bitmex....
if he really could make 100 BTC = $660k then he wouldn't have bothered with creating a youtube video about it and try earning pennies from that video.

Quote
is it really a good option to trade on bitmex using 100x leverage? Seeing the risk/reward ratio it looks tempting but the risk looks far more haunting
not a good idea at all in my opinion. the risk of leverage trading is huge, specially now that the dumps have slowed down significantly although not stopped completely.
1522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade Recommendation : Syscoin on: July 10, 2018, 12:59:12 PM
you see that sharp peak that happened on July 4 (6 days ago)?
that is a pump that has already happened where price reached 8000 satoshi or in other words it was a 100% pump with a huge volume. the price you see now is good place to enter since SYS has already been pumped ...and dumped. not long ago I should add.
if this was 2 months ago and price was still here then it could have been a different story. unless another pumper comes alone and pumps this (which takes time) I don't see any reason for it to go up.
1523  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin Price is increasing from day to day in INDIA on: July 10, 2018, 12:39:01 PM
bitcoin price has been higher in India than it was in the rest of the world for the good part of last year that we had the rally. they have been going nuts over buying bitcoin as much as they could. there is an increasing demand for bitcoin in India which I believe is because of all the restrictions that the government is putting in front of bitcoin adoption. it is as if the more they restrict it the more people push back and buy bitcoin!
1524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin Prices Down? on: July 10, 2018, 11:58:38 AM
Maybe you've all seen the price of BITCOIN that dropped dramatically now,

dramatically? LMAO

why? it is the same thing as before:
1. Bancor was hacked. the hackers stole about $23.5 million worth of Ethereum
2. people started dumping Ethereum in their fear
3. ETH dropped "dramatically" (which is -15% in less than 12 hours)
4. the dump in altcoin market brought bitcoin down a little (which is about 4.5%) as the money usually exits through bitcoin when it is escaping from altcoins to fiat!!
1525  Economy / Speculation / Re: how would a bitcoin technical hiccup play out these days? on: July 10, 2018, 11:52:57 AM
it would depend on the "hiccup" or the bug or whatever you want to call it.

for example the first one you mentioned was clearly an invalid block that was created because of a small bug and w as fixed easily. a thing like that won't affect anything.
the other one was a client bug and had nothing to do with bitcoin. it was a bug with the new version of bitcoin core client and created a 6 block long orphaned block. which is again not a serious case in my opinion.

things like that won't affect anything. BUT the drama about them is a different matter, unfortunately. for example the drama about "bitcoin split and die because of SegWit" was a total bullshit that cased a big drop last year. there was no split but they spoon-fed everyone that there was.
so I'd say the results of any "hiccup" would depend on how much FUD is being spread about it and how much people are going to buy into that.

on the other hand if it is a serious bug threatening the security of bitcoin for good, like some vulnerability in ECC then we will have a different story.
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Wrong questions on: July 10, 2018, 10:16:42 AM
this shows that last year's big rise didn't just bring in bitcoin enthusiasts but also it attracted a lot of gamblers who thought they could become rich with bitcoin and do that in a short period of time like 1 week to a month tops!
for the past ~6 months up until July that price was going down they obviously didn't understand why their "gamble" is not paying off and why they are losing money so they started asking these types of silly questions.
of course you can also blame the media for the hype that they started last year and kept on talking about how price will reach $100k, and $1 million and then did 180 degree turn and started talking about how bitcoin is dead in 2018!!!
1527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Crypto facing hack Every time it recovers??? Govts involved?? on: July 10, 2018, 10:08:44 AM
"crypto" is not facing hack!

it is the shitty random exchanges out there with little security that are getting hacked. and it is not new, this has been happening all year last year during the rise so it is not the reason for the drops either.

additionally this is yet another proof that altcoin dumps can decrease the price of bitcoin as the money escapes through bitcoin. we know that the Bancor hack was a full altcoin loss (mostly they stole ETH if I am not mistaken) and the altcoins were getting dumped hard all this morning and bitcoin was still up, after some time of altcoin dump bitcoin came down as they cashed out through bitcoin.
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Regulations For Cryptocurrency? on: July 10, 2018, 09:19:04 AM
since there aren't that many regulations regarding bitcoin now I would say yes there will be a lot more regulations in the future because this is currently a raw market with no regulations and it needs them. so as the market grows and more people get involved and more importantly as the popularity of bitcoin grows and more businesses and merchants start accepting it as payment, the government has to put some regulation guidelines for them to follow in order to keep everything in line.
that has already happened in some countries like Japan though. and the rest will eventually follow.
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the cryptocurrency market world division ? on: July 10, 2018, 09:08:39 AM
Due to privacy reasons, it will be impossible to answer this question, exchange could give the answer but they will never do this as they don't have the right and also one exchange is not suffiscient as repartition ill change from exchange to exchange.

exchange data is mostly public and is accessible to anybody who wants. and the only number that you need from the exchange to know the share percentage of each market from the total market is the "Volume" which is the total trading volume in each day. this is a good enough comparison unless that said exchange has zero trading fee or is reporting fake volume.
1530  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Yobit BTG withdraw! on: July 09, 2018, 08:57:21 AM
Yobit is just a terrible exchange with no plans whatsoever. they just care about adding lots and lots of coins that they can fake pump every day and make money from the gullible users that join that platform. if you watch some of these coins trading history you can clearly see the fake orders!

as for your withdrawal that is the problem they have with almost all the altcoins. their wallets are empty or they don't even have a wallet for that coin! you can however always deposit trade and withdraw bitcoin like most of their users and never have any issues. but when it comes to withdrawing an altcoin you will be stuck for ages.
1531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where Do you Trade and Why ? on: July 09, 2018, 08:51:34 AM
being easy is subjective! for example someone may not ever be comfortable enough with using their cell phone for anything apart from calling (you know as a phone)! so trading on it is a big no while someone else may love using their phone for everything since it is portable with a nice resolution,...

as for security, a phone can also be pretty secure. the only problem is that since you carry it around you may lose it. otherwise it can be strongly encrypted and be impenetrable.

what I prefer is my own PC at home with a big monitor where I can open multiple things at the same time like my bot, price watcher, exchange in a browser,...
1532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does your portfolio looks like ? on: July 09, 2018, 07:06:53 AM
my portfolio looks like a real portfolio which consists of real valuable assets with good profit in the future and least risk. and it is properly diversified.
it has bitcoin, gold, stocks and real estate in it. and it is void of anything useless that just ties up my money and either don't give me profit or give me big losses such as altcoins.
the altcoins are only for trading in short term in small quantities since they are manipulated and are considered high risk investments. they have no place in a real portfolio!
1533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Crypto bulls knocking the door? on: July 09, 2018, 06:13:39 AM
it is hard to tell when the bull run is going to start.

on one hand we have this bottom at around $6000 which was already tested 3 times with a huge volume dump there but it was not a successful drop below it. and that showed the strength of this buy support level and set it as the unbreakable bottom for bitcoin for 3 times. and also we have this slow rise that is ongoing these days as an accumulation is going on.

on another hand there is still a lot of FUD, negative news,... and that plus the bear market that we had so far has created some sort of uncertainty among investors in the market that has been forcing them to double think every decision they make and most of them are still out with their money waiting for a sign to jump back in.
1534  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Get a bitcoin to solve the puzzle on: July 09, 2018, 05:55:11 AM
...
The address of the wallet begins with the letter "3" which is the address Mutisig! It is more difficult to guess than the address with "1". Hope someone succeeds!
Good luck!

address starting with 3 used to ONLY be multisignature addresses but after introduction of Segregated Witness in 2017 these addresses that start with 3 can also be SegWit addresses. it is a nested thing with witness program in a script hash thing (P2WSH?) which results in the address to start with 3.

although the creator of the puzzle has not said anything of sorts as far as I know and unless there is a transaction from that key we can never know for sure either.
1535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet on: July 09, 2018, 05:31:09 AM
Coinbase is not even a bitcoin wallet! how can it be the "best"?

a bitcoin wallet has a clear definition, it is an application that you control the private keys and your coins with it. when you use Coinbase you have an account not a wallet. you don't have any private keys hence you have 0 control over your money. all the numbers you see in your so called Coinbase wallet are like a "promise" that Coinbase may or may not keep, you can even call it IOUs.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GOOD NEWS!!! South Korea on BITCOIN on: July 09, 2018, 05:18:53 AM
The world is gradually accepting bitcoin and crypto.  This is good news for the crypto market.  I hope in the future many countries will follow Korea.
 Grin Grin
I believe that Russia is on it too

there are many countries around the world that are "on it" too. ever since last year that Japan adopted bitcoin as a currency and the price and the adoption of bitcoin grew a lot around the world or at least starting to, every country started thinking about their plans regarding bitcoin more seriously.
most of them don't want to fall behind the revolution. of course in most cases they are focusing on the blockchain technology itself but even that is good since it will educate people and they will see the power of bitcoin as the only decentralized currency of the whole world.
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where's the bitcoin hype gone? on: July 09, 2018, 05:14:04 AM
you can not expect the "hype" and also "FUD" to last forever. these are social drama that will always end at some point because to put simply they only affect brainless newbies. at the end of the day when the hype and FUD goes away the real people with functioning brains remain and those have been accumulating bitcoin all along without letting anyone know it.
they are called silent majority for this...
1538  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is now the turnaround point? on: July 08, 2018, 08:46:35 AM
It doesn`t matter if the support level is 6000 or 6800 USD.
it matters a lot for when you are also trading in short term too in addition to your long term investment. knowing the bottoms can help you make your decision about your entry. so if it is for instance $6000 then you should have placed your buy orders there and when a week went by without them being filled you should have placed higher bids.

The regulation/ban storm is over and we are waiting for the crypto whales to start buying again.
I disagree. there was no regulation/ban storm. there was a FUD storm instead. the regulations and ban cases are always around us even during the bull market of 2017 but people choose not to follow them or pay any attention to them. for example India situation today is similar to last year but you are hearing about it  constantly now whereas you never even head of it (possibly) last year.
as for the whales they have been buying again for some time now, they don't let anybody know their buys/sells. it is the FOMO market by the masses that causes those big jumps. and of course sometimes manipulation.
1539  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hype Has Barely Even Begun on: July 08, 2018, 07:42:35 AM
Bitcoin was overhyped last December-January. Lots of people on some countries knew about bitcoin because of lots of news putting up headlines on how bitcoin reached $15k-$20k.

lets not confuse "knowing" about bitcoin which is basically hearing its name or reading about it in the news, with "adoption". it is true that many people have already heard about bitcoin, maybe 70% or more of the population of the world have heard the word "bitcoin" already but to really know it and adopt it is a different thing.

about less than 1% of the whole world have adopted bitcoin and a lot of them have been traders.
we are far away from the real mass adoption where bitcoin is used by a decent percentage of the world instead of <1% and is used as a currency.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we start transactions? on: July 08, 2018, 07:13:50 AM
in order to mine bitcoin you will need special equipment which is called ASIC. you need to buy them and set it up to mine bitcoin, then you connect to a pool to share the work and try finding a block to share the reward.

as for your wallet, you now have a bitcoin address. you can give this address to others so that they can send you bitcoin. the address starts with 1, 3 or bc1. your private keys are obviously private and you should keep them that way. make sure to back up your seed also by writing it on a piece of paper and storing it in a safe place out of sight.
