1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from a brother's mistake on: February 12, 2023, 05:33:29 PM
Alliance Block market cap is very low, projects with very low market cap are called degen by many and they are very risky, remember Gala games? It was hacked and all tokens were reimbursed, if Gala was a very small project I don't think they will do the reimbursement.
Looking at the story and so many red flags alert so they should be aware from it and take the action around this. This is why if it's unknown coin with low cap and gamble your money hoping to get return in next bull run with low cap is just too good to be true especially in current condition. I don't know why your brother ended up investing on that particular project, maybe he knows the best I guess?

Usually, people invest in a low cap coin hoping that one day they will get their profits like 10x, 100x or more.
However, most of these alts will be abandoned even before hitting the trading market, not only hacking or intentionally deserting the project.
This has been going on for years already when it comes new alts. Hence, a lot are going back to top alts to invest, more of them are sticking with btc.
This scenario has been seen, heard countless times, and yet, people still invest in small projects, unheard alts owed to the fact that they are thinking that it will give them hundred folds of returns.
Unfortunately, very rare that an alt project can sustain its market, let alone, increase its value thru time. Don't easily believe the devs' promises.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins to HODL on: February 11, 2023, 09:57:28 PM
I don’t know your preference or what look out for before  Investing in any Altcoin but if I am to judge them by my own criteria I would say you are holding some low profits expectancy altcoin.

Some of this coin mentioned are at ground zero with no futuristic  Hope, I can only advice you to stop accumulating coin because you think They are cheap and you can afford more, diversify a little and add some reputable Altcoin.

As expected, he may be just promoting those coins as he is holding them.
But users here should think of what to hold long-term, not just because someone is holding them.
Better do your own homework on checking the actual potential of the coin, their future and ongoing developments.
And the OP should remember that USDT is a centralized stable coin, he should know possible repercussions of holding a centralized coin.
The OP should contemplate again about the variation of the coins he is holding right now. Better let go some while they still have value in the market.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 11, 2023, 09:34:57 PM
Gambling has become an everyday thing for some people and this act has lead to serious addiction which is not good. When gambling we should understand that we are just playing for fun. Most people i know around always take gambling as a very serious issue and i have this particular friend that always complains to me how he has stopped gambling but from no where you still see him gambling again. Me myself am a sesonal gambler and i only gamble on the sport i know which is soccer, i think exploration of new gambling games you are familiar with also causes this repeated feeling of always quitting gambling. I just want to know if this phrase is common among everyone or its just he catch phrase whenever you experiences a big loss.
I am one of those people who want to stop gambling but in the end I failed. I may already be addicted to the fun that you get from gambling, especially if you already have the ambition to win at gambling and don't just think about fun. I was almost driven crazy by gambling until I sold the things I owned to play gambling so I thought gambling addiction was more dangerous than drinking liquor and methamphetamine and even I saw my friend who had sold his house certificate to play gambling and for the victory that he seeks in gambling.
I'm still lucky not to do that even though I can't stop gambling but at least the scale of my gambling can be reduced.
The defeat that we get and the ambition to win in gambling will change all the logic that we build at the beginning before gambling.
If a gambler realizes that he is becoming addicted, he must try to control it. The more time and money you spend in gambling, the more you lose and will try to recover. So keep it limited as much as you lose. Keep a certain amount of money in the budget and when it runs out, wait again until a certain time. If you can manage responsible gambling then you will not be addicted and if you are not addicted then managing gambling will not have any negative effects.

If you are already selling your house certificate in order to gamble, now, you already know what kind of gambler you are.
More than likely, you will end up in deep debt and the people you owed will be chasing you more often.
I think there are a lot of these gamblers that are under this circumstance, they should wake up before all his loved ones are gone from his life.
Lucky for those that can still manage their gambling activities and know their limits. Better contain yourself before you totally ruin your life.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest casino property... on: February 11, 2023, 09:14:30 PM

This place is like the all-in-one go to place when you're in the city as a visiting tourist in Singapore. This place is indeed the most popular tourist destination in the country, so I can't imagine how huge this place could generate income with so much facilities (which is all very luxurious) plus the casino's income.
So, that $6B worth of property does really make sense. I have never been to Singapore, when I get the chance to go their, Marina Bay would be at the top of my travel bucket list.
Yeah, honestly never been yet to Singapore that's why I don't that it is actually a place for gambling. It is really need to be looks good and looks expensive since there are many rich people it would be for their comfortability and security of the gamblers. Since Marina is one of the perfect and well known place in Singapore it gains more attraction and a lot of interest from people all over the world.

Went to Singapore few times but not to gamble, as others have said this area is a popular tourist destination.
I believe a lot of tourists are interested in other entertainment establishments over their gambling casinos.
Actually, you don't need to be rich to roam around Marina Bay as there are other attractions like Merlion, Helix Bridge, and so on.
Unless, you want to book a room in this high-end hotel, that's expensive one. But if you just want sightseeing, you're very much welcome to do so.
1145  Economy / Gambling / Re: Own a profitable gambling site. Looking for investors on: February 11, 2023, 08:47:58 PM
I want you to understand that it will be hard for you to convince the forum user into investing in a casino whose name, site, and background nobody knows. If some reputable member of this forum has once done the same thing and it never works I don't see any reason why the user of this forum will trust you unless you're going to provide the service that was once provided by Yolodice before they shut down. Another option is to find reputable crypto related investment sites.

I also don't think the OP can get serious investors from the forum without disclosing any identity.
Much better if he can pitch this business proposal to his colleagues or investors who he can meet face to face.
But here, I don't think people will just blindly contact him over his social media channel and send money to him with such amount.
He did not even mention the site name, so we can check what is really going on with his site right now.
1146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: February 10, 2023, 09:56:53 PM
Trading is quite too risky for newbies but we never make this the hindrance to trying and learning. Of course, it was not easy as most think about it and losses are very likely to happen. No pain, No gain - that is exactly what we need to fail and commit mistakes just to know what we needed and to learn from those mistakes. if we are afraid to try, then we never expect to learn to trade as well because the truth is that we all started from being a newbie, with no experience, and less knowledge. But if we carry courage in ourselves so becoming a successful trader is not impossible.

Yeah right, if you really wanted to learn, you will exceed to your limits in trying everything to succeed with your intentions
people who have this kind of mentality have a better chance in succeeding with trading.

No pain, no gain somthing that you should think about and practice, losses might be a part of this
business but you should understandthe big potential if you already master the process.

most of the time, successful traders comes from those who really losses a lot before they manage
to established themselves and become a good trader.

But if you only have small bankroll, use small amount of money while you are learning the process.
You can only learn such strategies if you will experience it on your own.
That is true, you will incur losses but should not give up as you won't see your success if you will give up early.
High likely these successful traders have been doing this activity for years before they can say to themselves that they already mastered this task.
1147  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin go back to 19000 on: February 10, 2023, 09:47:57 PM
right now I see the price of bitcoin on an exchange which is 21750, and has decreased by approximately 6% and I want to ask everyone,
is it possible that bitcoin will return to the price of 19000? or after this decline bitcoin will go back up higher ,,,?

and also I want to know what caused the bitcoin price to drop drastically?
19k price is unpredictable since nobody can say how low the price will dip to. 21k is a good resistance price but how strong can it resist this price, I guess from my own analysis it is possible bitcoin price will dip to 20k. Demand and supply place a vital role in bitcoin price, I see this new price as an opportunity for us to accumulate more btc for ourselves till the real bull run comes. The price shouldn't be the problem when you are in a long term investment.

The target of the OP is not too difficult as it is only few thousands dollars from the current price.
No one can give him a precise answer because no one can. We are all just waiting what will happen next.
Even finding the reasons why it is dropping, is because of various contributing factors.
We can't pinpoint it to only one source of news. Supply and demand is always in play.
But we can't specifically attribute to one event why the market is dropping or increasing.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 10, 2023, 09:23:18 PM
They might be playing with the other site or casino but using their own platform, I guess most of their employees are prohibited to do gamble because that is a conflict of interest.

The owner is surely a gambler as well because it will be hard to run a business if you are not familiar with it, though he has all the money already so playing might not be his priority anymore.

They other things on their mind rather than gamble on their own platform.
But I believe, they will try their own games if it really works or have bugs or other stuffs they need to take care about.
Definitely, they should know how their game works and not blind about their offerings.
But I don't think they will go to the extent of being addicted gambler, just occasional one just to check their site from time to time.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What most gamblers do. on: February 09, 2023, 09:46:05 PM
I want to ask a question. And I need serious answer from this forum, and my question is WHY DOES A GAMBLER DON'T HAVE A SAVINGS.
In my country (Nigeria) there are many gamblers who don't have savings and it isn't help matters at all. Most of these gamblers can't afford for there families but they can afford money they will use to gamble. So why are they not having savings that they can use to help there families in time of lack. As they said, we save money so money can save us tomorrow. But these gamblers don't know that.
Most addicted gamblers don't have time for any other tho g but gambling, there can't focus on any project and make it successful this is because the gambling disorder has affected their way of reasoning.

Some time their believe f that because the money their use to get come in a small amounts at a got there don't care to know how much it will be in total accumulation if calculated over some time.
True, you wouldn't mind on other things but rather having to play gambling no matter what. You wouldn't care about savings or whatsover as long you do able to play no matter what.
People would usually just stop when they dont have money to spare or to use and this is where realization of their mistakes would come from or would start which they had just able to to avoid
if they really just been minding with their actions or simply being sensible with it. We know that most of gamblers are family man or does have stable income but their habits and
other activities could really be a reason on why they do end up on a disaster.

If gamblers go to the extent of loaning money, and so using up all their savings is very easy.
So this is not hard to think about. If you are a gambler, you would want to use all the spare money that you have.
Some gamblers even go to the extent of consuming their money for basic necessities, making their families starve for hunger.
This is the reason why most of the addicted gamblers have family problems, because they are thinking first their gambling before the needs of their family.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 09, 2023, 08:54:30 PM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.
In your case it’s not because you will need money any moment due to your school needs. Putting it on investment will just ruin your money profitability because you can’t get enough profit in short term on an investment unless you will enter a high volatility investment. Money shouldn’t be put always on investment, it highly depends your situation and needs about the about the money. Savings is very good if you need a sure money for an upcoming expenses while you are still not earning passively through your work.
Being a student is so demanding, not only in time but also in expenses. If he only have a small money then I won't recommend putting it for saving because there's a tendency that he just pull it out. Better if he can save it for a while so that he will have something to use for school purposes because our teachers can sometimes demand us a project.

Many of us finish our studies first before we focus on money making activities as it's more easier and doing so won't affect our studies, so my only advice to the students right now is don't rush things but they should enjoy their youths first because they will surely regret it in the future if they won't.

But they can always opt to save money as much as they can.
So whenever they need it, they are not desperate where to find money.
But don't stress yourself in saving if you don't have it. Just live within your means.
Now, when the times comes you can afford to save money, then do it diligently.
Lucky if you can still keep some money while studying, not many students can do that these days.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Fitcoin - Cryptcurency for fitness live community on: February 08, 2023, 09:19:34 PM
I find it very hard to navigate through your website, it seems extremely slow that it's almost inaccessible, I don't think it's my connection as I accessed other sites and app on my phone just fine. I can literally scrolled through 9gag and read several memes and comments on my phone while waited for your "about" page to load. I can --with some effort-- find your litepaper which... extremely lite, but I can't see your whitepaper anywhere. Can you please point it out to me? Or better yet, just share the link to your WP here.

Their loading is indeed slow. I don't think this will see the light of the day.
What I mean is, I have the feeling that this won't survive long, not even getting listed in a decent exchange.
If they won't fix the loading rate, people won't wait and check out their site.
This can easily be shelved if they can't get the interest of the community.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 08, 2023, 08:34:43 PM

True, he is lucky that it does not take long for him to wait for a big fight, now that its here, this is an opportunity to prove that although he is not undefeated anymore, but he can become a champion again. We only have few Filipino boxing champs, so I'm sure Magsayo is now inspired to carry the nation in this fight and will go home bringing the glory.

Chances like this are not seen every day and no matter what happened, if he really wanted to pursue his dream, then he should win this fight and do everything he can to beat Figueroa. Maybe this is one of the most exciting fights will gonna happen to his career because he needs to put everything in here and improve himself in order not to be the same fighter when he suffered his first loss. Now is the time to prove to them that he still has the power to become a legend in boxing.

Based from initial odds, Magsayo is the underdog of this match, so if you are rooting for him, would be good to bet.
We don't know how prepared both the fighters are to this belt, but if Magsayo can really win on this one,
he will uplift the spirit of his countrymen. They are looking for another boxer that can follow the path of Pacquiao.
However, we know such feat is quite difficult as it would take years and years before another boxer can prove such achievement.
1153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I invest my 60% savings in Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2023, 08:02:29 PM

There is nothing like 100% lost in bitcoin because bitcoin has never dropped to zero and at that, you may lose a fraction when you do dollar cost average but then if you hold your Bitcoin you lose nothing.
-dont have a misunderstanding in the word (crashed) because I can see that you misconcept it and aligning it to Bitcoin is a little out of context.
-investing 60% of your saving is not a bad idea but then you should try to get an entry price so that you will not be under pressure when the price goes against your predictions.

People have high hopes when it comes to btc investments.
And yes, i do agree with you as nothing like 100% lost in this top alt, unless it will go to zero value, but it is not.
Her investment into btc is quite a big percentage of her savings. She can invest in btc at staggered periods, with different price levels.
The preference about the percentage depends on the capability of the user, how she can tolerate possible losses on the based of her entry.
She can invest at any time, so long she believes on this market, and not agitated to cash out whenever there is a sudden drop from the price.
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in bitcoin? on: February 07, 2023, 09:50:49 PM
Today is a great example of why I am so much in love with crypto and why I was involved to begin with. As my nation got destroyed by 2 huge earthquakes, it was not easy to trust everyone and find any place to send your money to help, who could you trust? Not many people trust the government, and that is a common thing globally, hence why we have crypto and prefer it over fiat. So what happened? Someone that the whole nation trusts started a crypto donation fund, and right now it got over 2.5 million dollars donated, in a single day, same happened back when Ukraine needed help too, people all around the world sent us their funds to help us, and that's the beauty of crypto. Could you send Turkey 3 dollars of your help, maybe small but thousands and thousands of people who do that? It becomes millions, and it wasn't possible with fiat, but it is possible with crypto. Thats why I am in, because of how amazingly simple it shows money could be, if we didn't follow up the governmental regulations and systems and methods and just use crypto directly.

What you have presented is a great example of how we can use crypto to assist mankind in times of emergencies.
It is true, we can't collect this amount of money via fiat transactions, small transactions of few dollars is not easy to transfer with.
But with btc or any other crypto, we can easily donate, just know the valid crypto address and anyone can send even with small amounts.
On this note, for people who are donating, make sure those are legit addresses to donate with, a lot are using this situation to screw people and use it to their own agenda.
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: misconceptions have always been and will always be on: February 07, 2023, 09:20:56 PM
It is sad that in the cryptocurrency industry, a token user who is a deceived investor cannot bring charges against the creators of the project. Even if they are real people, and not fakes, they can always pretend that they believed in their idea, but that it failed and the token could not reach the top. Although they always assumed this when making their scam. And of course they will not return the money.
And why not? We can always do something and as they say, as long as there is a will there is always a way. Even if we can't catch them alive, we can at least give a warning to others, to the crypto exchange so that they will block access to those coins and there is still a possibility that you can recover your money.

If they are doxed and looks like they are legit, I guess the only way to avoid being scammed big later on is to not give your 100 percent confidence about them and stick only to your investment limits no matter what happens or what promising updates they are publishing. Remember there is only one coin that we can trust 100 percent and that is Bitcoin.

That is the reason why these token developers are bold enough to create new projects even if they have no expertise.
As it is hard to run after these people when the project goes down the drain and you have no way of recovering your investments.
How many projects have we seen that people just move on because they couldn't do anything about the abandoned project?
Sad to say, it is countless already and more crap projects are still in the making, this is why people always go back to bitcoin.
1156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - take profits or continue to DCA? on: February 06, 2023, 06:42:14 PM
...

Is anyone taking profits or are most of us just DCA?

I do both, sometimes I sell coins and use my profit to invest in other coins. In this way, I safeguard my capital and let my profit continue playing.
Honestly, we need to be wise in this bear situation, we use to take advantage of the volatility of the market as we can't just rely on holding but to play with it. Making a few bucks is a single coin like just holding for a month or two isn't bad actually as we never waste time. I even applied this strategy to Bitcoin as well and I see it works find.

For me, that's a smart decision. Because if you will recover your initial investments plus your profits,
you are already a winner in this market. And then, if you still have some left, you can continue your investments.
As we can't tell what will happen next, it is always best that you got your initial funds back plus bonus.
Doing both strategies will give you satisfaction that you haven't lost your funds to the market and you are not
agitated with yourself because you haven't recovered your money. At least, play safe in this market.
1157  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bitcoin mooved from grass to grace. on: February 06, 2023, 06:03:05 PM
You think Bitcoin need 5 years in order to reach $30K? it's too long! we might see it sooner for the next 3-6 months if the world economy will become better and there's no recession happen.

Bitcoin isn't a tutorial or guide to invest in crypto currency, it's one of coin that you need to choose if you want to invest. After all it depends on everyone if they want to invest in Bitcoin or not, they can learn first before invest or they can buy it without any knowledge.

$30k level is not too hard to achieve and yes, we may see it happening in the next few months not 5 years.
But the OP is very conservative with his estimates, he can easily get his ROI plus profits with his investments.
A lot of people are coming into the crypto market with the thought that they can easily get their profits fast.
However, they will soon realized that there's more than meet the eyes in this market, it is no easy task to be acquainted with the ins and outs in crypto.
1158  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎊 Fortune.st Upcoming Updates 🎊 20 Things to Expect (Happy New Year) 🎉 on: February 06, 2023, 04:19:11 PM

It's good that you are talking about a deposit bonus here, but this is not in your conditions on the site, it would not be bad if you created an appropriate section about bonuses, because all this requires a 5-fold wagering (both deposit and bonus) in order to be able to withdraw funds, if I am correct understood from terms.

https://fortune.st/policy/terms/43
Quote
There is a wagering requirement of 5 times the deposit and bonus amount on a minimum of 2 events each before it's eligible for withdrawal.
You actually made the comment almost the same time we were amending the terms of services. The wagering requirement times has been significantly reduced to some of the lowest in the industry. We don't have to mention every bonus we are running in our terms and conditions, especially the 120% first deposit bonus because it's something you're going to get immediately as our bonus wagering requirements has already been written.

Thank you for joining us.

That's true, your wagering requirement 2 times the deposit and bonus amount on a minimum of 2 events, is one of the lowest that I've seen among casinos here.
This will be very attractive to players considering that you have no KYC no matter what amount the player will deposit/withdraw.

@OP, Just want to confirm about your stats, it shows you have about more than 11500+ users, are those all active or just the total number of registrants?
1159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US casinos set new record of revenue on 2022 on: February 06, 2023, 12:14:25 PM
I would not be surprised to see casino revenue increase to almost 55 billion dollars throughout 2022 because gambling has become so popular and is not yet revenue from online casinos, including crypto casinos. Maybe people think gambling is a short way to get a lot of money, so many of them hope to win a lot of money by playing lots of gambling games.

But I never observed or noticed this around where I live. And I think online crypto casinos are also experiencing the same thing, especially since Covid-19 has hit many countries, which has prevented gamblers from going to their favorite casinos and they have to gamble online. Probably many of them have moved to crypto casinos after discovering crypto news.

Online gambling industry was one of the few industries which did thrive during the height of pandemic period.
And so it is no doubt when land-based casinos open their doors to the public, they are one of the industries which got their boost in revenue.
I believe, a lot of people are still hoping to win one way or another despite of the economic situation that we are facing with.
Gambling industry will continue to grow now that online crypto casinos not only fiat-based are getting popular.
I guess, people are taking their chances in these gambling games to cover some financial desires. But everyone should be cautious especially if you are already financially challenged.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 05, 2023, 09:57:43 PM

This isn't an easy fight for Brandon but so is Figueroa, Brandon is not a hard puncher and loves to fight inside and mix it up, if Magsayo is going to win against Brandon he better make sure that he can last a full 12 rounds because Brandon can keep up as we have seen on his match against Fulton.
Brandon throws a lot of punches like Vargas so he should impose himself by connecting big shots, this fight is 50/50 for me but I'm hoping that Magsayo can bring on his best form because Brandon is one tough fighter.
That’s also my view on this match. Brandon is really a tough opponent and is not easy to lose. He has a high current knock-out ratio as he knock them out most of his opponents, that’s why Magsayo should have a good defense here so that he can still beat Brandon at the end of the match. For now, my bet is still 50-50 but my hopes and expectations is that Magsayo will still be able to perform better in the ring as this will mark a good comeback for him.

Also, not many Filipinos are having their boxing belts today. People are waiting for the next Pacquiao in the making.
But in any case, Magsayo for sure knows the caliber of his opponent. So he should not take this fight lightly.
This is only about a month from now, so I believe, both boxers are now in serious mode of training.
Read some prediction odds on this fight and some are highly favoring Figueroa to win this fight.
Let us see when crypto bookies list this fight and see what they have for the odds. The odds may be close to each other.
