Everybody is on high alert especially in European countries. It is too soon from those attacks to let down their guard.
I think there was another bomb today in France that killed 2 people. Don't know if it was from recent events, but probably was.  Sad

1825  Economy / Services / Re: The most interesting photo selection! 0.1 btc bounty—Bitcoin Kan on: November 17, 2015, 10:01:46 PM
Thanks for the payment Smiley

Well, it doesnt show up in my wallet. That's what i'm talking about. Or rather, asking about.

You need to open the BTCKan app, click on the "colon" icon on the top right side and click on Wallet option. You will be able to see your Balance in BTC and the latest withdrawals and deposits. Hope this helps.
It is actually the assets tab that shows the balance. Then you can withdraw from there.

Received bonus. Thanks a lot Bitkan.

Vote for #5

I like how simplistic it is and I like chocolates. It is like a picture of mona lisa but with a guy instead. Atleast I think he is smiling because he is using Bitcoin Kan  Grin

1830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is there to get into now that mining is for the rich? on: November 14, 2015, 03:07:00 AM
I think mining's more of a hobby now instead of an investment. So if you really like those awesome rigs you should go for it. If you're purely into mining for the profits I suggest you look into other investment opportunities.
I think people in China would beg to differ on your opinion of it being "just a hobby".
Have you seen the mining farms they have? It is at an enormous scale and must shelling them a massive amount of coins per day or they would not be in it to begin with.

He's referring to average Joe  mining, and what you're talking about is industrial level mining, which is the very reason us "average Joe's" don't have a place in mining anymore.
It all went down when ASIC's came out, and imho it ruined the very thing bitcoin was created to have - decentralization in every form - mining included.
Even tho mining provides somewhat better security now, with larger hashrate, i still think that switching to another algo as soon as asic's came out would be far better solution.
Keeping it in average people's hands was the idea, available to everyone -  was it not ?
If it was to keep in the average people's hands was the premise of mining then yes I agree with you.
But everyone knows that one big corporations(in this case a person who had money to start off small then grow it to something massive) see something they can profiteer from, they will jump on it and leave the little mom and pop shops in the dirt. That is big business for you.
1831  Other / Off-topic / Re: A state of Emergency France. What is happening in Paris? on: November 14, 2015, 02:53:41 AM
Speculation?  Hmmm...Probably the same miscreants that the world has been dealing with since the 7th century.
Speculation of what? It is happening because of Islamic state terrorists. Everybody knows how easy it is for them to move in and out France on a whim. You have walked the streets of Paris lately? Almost every second person has a burka on you don't know if they are men or woman. Roll Eyes
1832  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: November 14, 2015, 02:41:58 AM
I am buying but in small quantities due to the price. Just waiting for it to go down a bit more before buying a lot more.
Why? To amass my collection before the price skyrockets next year.

This will help people realize that guns are a personal necessity. Try as it might, their government can't protect them. The people will find out that government will crack down on them, because it can't really find the bad guys.

Smiley
The bad guys are everywhere that is why they are not wearing masks, do you see. So they can blend in with everybody else, just like the Siarnov brothers during the Boston marathon bombings. These people who are attacking are suicide bombers too. They don't care if they die either.

100 dead confirmed as of now.  Cry Expect the death toll to rise in the next 12 hours.

So when are you releasing this Christmas story? Any update on release date?

last i heard she was banned so...
Banned for doing what? I knew she was getting in trouble for posting some questionable things but what did she do that was so bad to constitute a full out ban?
1840  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Highest paying signature campaign for full member? on: November 14, 2015, 12:07:41 AM
bit-x and magicdice around 0.5 per month, the other are all below

i hope for a better competition in the future, so many campaign will remove the limit and not just bit-x...

This depends on the current rank that you are in. With Bit-X No limit in posting it is possible if you are a very active poster. But then recently, Bit-X set a limit of 150 posts max in a week and lowered their pay per post rate also just like what other campaigns did because of the recent bitcoin price rise.
Are you in this class of who have no limits on their postings? I see you are quite active on your postings.
The pay rate decrease was going to happen but they should raise it now since btc prices are relevantly back to normal.

afaik everyone in bit-x campaign has a weekly 150 post limit. The pay rate should be corrected once again due to price correction, but it's obvious that they're exploiting
market moves as they please, so i doubt they will increase it again. The only thing left to do for those in campaign is to switch to another campaign with higher ppp rate.

So what you are saying is they are not playing far with the members of their campaign?
That sure is what you are saying they are doing to them.
