1721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchanges on: January 01, 2016, 10:52:07 PM
i am using coinbase and the transaction is surprising fast, almost immediate if you transfer your money from bank to coinbase. however the bad thing is that you can change back to $$(maybe there is a way but i cant find it) and the exchange rate is quite bad.
What is their exchange rate from bitcoin back to fiat? I always wondered about it as I imagined it would be quite high. I am not in the states so I could not try and see what it would be.
1722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much bitcoins do you put on an exchange at any one time? on: January 01, 2016, 10:36:41 PM
I've really prefer to use Shapeshift for many of small transactions than to trust an account with my money and details. I know it's more expensive, but it's quick and on the fly. So to answer your question, it's 0 since the amount is never actually deposited in any exchange.
I use them too because it is accountless for any transaction/exchange with a lot of available alternative cryptos and the wait time is instantaneously.
Pretty amazing system if you ask me. I am a happy customer with them  Smiley
1723  Economy / Exchanges / Re: is Cryptsy about to fold over??? on: January 01, 2016, 10:32:07 PM
This has been going on for sometime now and it is in the media and should be the highlight story of 2015.
It will fold before Spring. I am certain of that. Get your funds out if you still can and if you account is not locked that is.

Well that's easily said then done. I am still waiting for a 27/12 withdrawal.
Made ticket today so let's hope for the best. It's almost 1 BTC so yeah i am a little bit worried if they will honor my withdrawal.

My friend's withdrawal was reviewed and accepted last monday. I know it's a few days back. but they are stilling processing these withdrawals.

Which means you have to be patient right now.

Monday is a long time ago. Maybe cryptsy decided t make a run for it after New Year.
Your comment gives me not a lot of hope honestly. I really do hope they will honor my withdrawal.
They could just blame it on slow confirmation times like so many delay in payments have been handled by unprofessional companies in the past. That is their tactic in order to buy more time before making their getaway. But from the sounds of it they are paying, so you still have hope to hold on too.

1725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much bitcoins do you put on an exchange at any one time? on: January 01, 2016, 02:22:09 PM
I would not hold more than 1 bitcoin on an exchange in fear of them going bust.
I am sure there would be telltale signs before it happens but still  Roll Eyes holding more than 1 bitcoin in an exchange wallet is just asking for trouble.
1726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lake BTC safe to give phone number? on: January 01, 2016, 02:20:17 PM
There should be ways to avoid this with technology we have now.
IP phone number would not enough to give, which is a phone number that can be answered on your computer. Those would be considered burner phone numbers. One time use if you wanted.
1727  Other / Off-topic / Re: Way to get bitcoin..!! on: January 01, 2016, 02:11:51 PM
Signature campaigns seem to be the only viable source and quickest to make bitcoin at this time. And not just full members and above are the only ones that can participate. There are three that come to mind that allow newbie and above to join just to start out.
Again there are some that just come up and don't pay, such as the Blackfriday one that did not pay the last week too it's campaigners. Also the one that promised monthly payments but can not now because of escrow issues not allowing them to pay it's members.
So all in all, when picking a campaign to work for choose wisely. Cause you don't want to be doing free advertising. Your time is worth more.
1728  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 01, 2016, 01:09:34 AM
Just a heads up but Bitcoin is still 430ish as it turns 2016. I'm in the UK (so basically the future)

Just letting you Americans know.

Where's your funny accent then?

Oh and I am not northern. I don't have a pilkington accent! I am a southerner.

Well then stop dropping your H's. Those are important. Angry
Lets just admit it, when everybody is drunk they all drop the H's and a F bomb once and a while.

1730  Economy / Service Discussion / What is Bitcoin Kan used for? on: December 31, 2015, 10:55:12 PM
I have an account and am using it but other than seeing the market value on a lot of exchanges,
what is it used for?
I can't see a place to put in a deposit to make any trades on any of the exchanges they are displaying.
It is a weird little app and only signed up for it during a giveaway a month ago  Cheesy
1731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where did Coinbase get my email address from? on: December 31, 2015, 09:08:15 PM
Maybe it is a phishing email?

I have a feeling its this.
are you an idiot? did you read the email? did they ask for any longin or identification details? you should just go kill yourself

OP a site you signed up on probably sold them your email, or someone used your email to signup
Information mining is big business..
and keeping them from getting your information is even bigger business.

1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where did Coinbase get my email address from? on: December 31, 2015, 08:52:42 PM
Looks like they are starting to pull bitcoin address that their user base has sent or received too and have a team to information mine from there.
They are cleverer than you think.
1733  Economy / Reputation / Re: Everyone In a Signature Campaign Is a Spammer? on: December 31, 2015, 08:38:01 PM
Not everyone, but a lot of them are spammer(s) (mostly jr.member - member etc.. but also sr. member).
So wouldn't it make sense than to ban the jr. and newbie too semi-member(not near the Full member status) from signature campaigns all together since their account don't mean any thing to them, essentially a throw away account  Huh
1734  Economy / Reputation / Re: Everyone In a Signature Campaign Is a Spammer? on: December 31, 2015, 08:18:29 PM
But you had 2 negative trust before that time so that might have contributed to this accusation of being a spammer.

The majority do not realize that the signature managers ask a lot from the campaigner and they have to conform whether it be learning to write English or even if the person does not have a GED to pass their campaign standards.
I am just hoping for the new year that the people who are calling the legtimate people spammers on the forums see them as employees of a campaign that have to obey what the managers tell them they have to do and not threaten their job performance. Cause at the end of the day, it is a job. And how would you like it if you were criticized by others for doing a job. The managers are the ones who decide if the employee gets fired or not. Let them decide.

Good will towards men!

Happy New years and lets hope it is a better one than the one that has just concluded.  Smiley
1735  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (WTS) 0.5 BTC for paypal or interac e-transfer on: December 31, 2015, 08:08:37 PM
I can buy 0.1 BTC from you for $41.5 PayPal paid as gift.
Please let me know if you would like to sell to me Smiley
No thanks.  Still available.

Are you okay with a $16 transaction or do you want the entire 0.5BTC traded at once?
Still available, please send me a PM if you still want to trade.
I still have another 0.5 BTC available.
So you have 0.5 btc in total available to sell?
PM me immediately if you want to do a successful trade as I was about to commit to a high rate on a 1 btc sale just now. This would depend on how long you will take to reply this post.

1737  Economy / Services / Re: Welcome to obits Signature Campaign Earn up to .180 per month(NO OPEN SLOTS) on: December 30, 2015, 03:38:02 PM
Is there any open slot for full member to apply ??
You might as well want to wake up and read the above comments .The campaign is done, the funds are gone.No one is getting paid.If you're still interested in advertising their signature for free you always can .
But this one pays on a monthly basis. Not even a month done SO NOBODY GETS PAID! Huh Huh Huh
That is pure rubbish for those that ran with this since the beginning.
Red trust is needed to be given so that new campaigns in the future don't do this to members here.
1738  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has been the world’s strongest currency in 2015 on: December 29, 2015, 09:37:07 PM
Usually host countries spend more then what fifa gives them for an allowed budget and the bill is fronted by the tax payers along with any repairs that need to be done at the venues after the visitors leave those countries in shambles most of the time.
