1681  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price going back to $250??? on: January 02, 2016, 12:59:37 PM
Being sceptical on the recent price rises that were not backed by any fundamental news, I really don't think we go back to $250. that is too far. We may retest down to $350 but going anywhere lower would require already some really bearish news (regulation?). It shouldn't happen, but there may be always something unexpected in goverments' sleeves.

Isn't that always the indicator when the price plummets into a downward spiral.
Bearer of bad news  Cheesy
Getting back to the topic, $250 is a long ways a way to get too from $184 away. It would seem silly if it did that in this month alone.
1682  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: January 02, 2016, 11:51:29 AM
From the looks of it you people are not going to get paid  Undecided
1683  Economy / Speculation / Re: why people excited for halving block reward? on: January 02, 2016, 11:49:52 AM
They need to get excited about something Roll Eyes bitcoins price is lackluster coming into the new year. Not moving much either way. It is quite boring to say the least. Some movement would be welcome at this point.  Sad
1684  Economy / Gambling / Re: My bets are pending after the match won. Please help on: January 02, 2016, 11:47:31 AM
You can pm this guy about your problem : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=154563
here is the thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333552.0

and if you are looking for customer support please send an email to : support@cloudbet.com.

Already did sir, but seems they are not replying to me.
They do have the most horrid customer relation skills I have seen for a casino. This attitude does make them look bad and not garner them anymore customers in the future. Maybe they just make enough from their current customers that they don't care much for the others.
1685  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: January 02, 2016, 11:45:10 AM
Bitcoin hit $1,000,000: buy an island and just sit on beach sipping mojitos.
Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again: Nothing just keep watching the world pass by sipping my mojitos.
Bitcoin stayed where it was: Be where I am today  Cry
Bitcoin became worthless, or a few cents: Nothing, it wouldn't matter to me really  Undecided
1686  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen if there's no price rise for the halfing? on: January 02, 2016, 10:14:02 AM
A lot of angry people I would imagine as they were waiting a whole year or more for this to increase their stash of coins astronomically. Myself included the ones in cold storage that is  Wink
1687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why things are so complicated on: January 02, 2016, 10:12:10 AM
if you think about it's the same for fiat, why many different fiat currency, why many different wallet, see them as why many different payment processor, skrill, paypal etc...

the benefit of bitcoin is the security and the low cost, the transaction don't take longer than with fiat, fiat actually take much longer to confirm, but since everyone use it, they basically agree to accept it without confirmation

ponzi and theft are present in fiat world too, so no difference...

Very well said! Understanding how fiat works beyond the simple transactions performed everyday (the internal mechanics and even worse the policies applied by central banks) is something that is not remotely understood by the large majority of people using fiat. Me included  Smiley
Watch Bitcoin: The end of money as we know it documentary. They explain it as simple as you can get. I mean about how they just borrow from one bank to another and not really have any physical money (fiat) at all when you do transactions through them.
1688  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you like to be able to buy with BTC online? on: January 02, 2016, 10:08:29 AM
I would like to buy my groceries and be able to walk into a gas station and then pay my bill with bitcoin. Other than that, I can buy all I need with bitcoin.
I think amazon offers this ability to buy groceries online and have them delivered (not by drone  Tongue) The payment system I don't know if accept bitcoin but it is worth it too see if they do anyways.
1689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin related life on: January 02, 2016, 10:03:53 AM
When there is money to be made, there are always people that find a way to benefit at the expense of others.

Using common sense may help you from falling for the very obvious scams, but some are really extensive.

Just remember, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
Words that will make your life in bitcoin a hell of a lot easier. Live by those simple set of rules and you will make it through this without being a victim of a con artist.
1690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving already 100% priced in! Would you buy or sell now? on: January 02, 2016, 10:00:31 AM
It is middle ground pricing. This  I agree with in the OP but having it already adjusted into the current price  Undecided this I am having a difficult time to believe. Any proofs on this theory? I mean hard evidence.
1691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 02, 2016, 09:52:47 AM
Is this what we would expect from being a stable price for bitcoin Lips sealed
Well it is boring to say the least. Bring some volatility back to it or it is just like any other fiat trading  Cry
1692  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: have 30$ btc need paypal 34$ on: January 02, 2016, 09:42:37 AM

1693  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Happy New Year, Enjoy New Feature in 2016 on: January 02, 2016, 09:38:53 AM
Was wondering what lakebtc was all about. Now with this promotion I know Wink

1694  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain under DOS! on: January 02, 2016, 05:46:46 AM
This is a common occurrence on blockchain.info

this has been happening since the spring/summer of last year. I don't think it is a ddos "attack" per se. Just a lot of incoming transactions that the network can not handle all sent at one given time. Non intentionally that is, so not an attack just the normal activity from bitcoin users sending and receiving their transactions.
1695  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin Kan used for? on: January 02, 2016, 05:43:15 AM

Got it now. Closing thread now.
appreciate all the efforts from everybody.
1696  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: have 30$ btc need paypal 34$ on: January 02, 2016, 03:44:20 AM
If I can send $33 for that 30 of btc then can we do this deal?
I am not available for tonight but will be back in the late afternoon tomorrow, so if you are still in need of this I could do this painlessly for you as possible  Wink
1697  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: January 02, 2016, 03:12:32 AM
Bank charges service charges that cost as much as the money some people have in their bank accounts.
They just use them to get their pay cheques deposited then withdraw them as soon as they hit the account. Leaving hardly anything left.
With a bitcoin wallet you can decide how much of a fee you want the miners to garish off your sending amount. So +1 for bitcoin wallet on that point  Grin
1698  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin Kan used for? on: January 02, 2016, 03:09:19 AM
I thought it can be use for trading. There are few platform that can be use for trading.?
I personally never use it yet Grin that just what i think..
Anyway btckan OP not really active anymore in this forum..
That is what I thought initially when I downloaded the app. It has a place to send and receive coins so it would be obvious that you could trade on there too. Unless you need to upgrade your account some how to be able to put toward the exchanges listed.
BTW, thanks for the answer for this question coinzat!
1699  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows - Trade Safely! on: January 02, 2016, 03:06:07 AM
master-P needs to be taken off the list.
What?! Why has this not been done already? With all the allegations against him I thought this would of been done since before boxing day. Who is the one who is doing the verification on this DT list any how?
1700  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poll : Who was The Best Sportsbook in 2015 ? Please vote. on: January 02, 2016, 03:03:08 AM
Well this is a surprise. I haven't used them before but will look into them next time I am placing a major sport bet. I have been using the lesser sites and have not made any thing to show for it unfortunely. I will try them now for this year since seeing the results of this poll.
