2041  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: October 23, 2015, 04:32:25 AM
No to that. I have come close but I always find some thing to spend it on.
If I just put it into a savings account where the withdrawal fee is so high until a certain amount of time passes then I think I would be able to, but that asking too much from me.
2042  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin Wallet on: October 23, 2015, 04:20:33 AM
I would recommend you to use coinbase as they have an actual user protection compared to blockchain.info. On a side note, online wallets aren't that secure compared to wallet clients which you have full control over the private keys. If you are planning to store large amounts of bitcoins into an online wallet, think again and consider getting a wallet which you have full control to.
I just noticed bitWallet on IOS has this function. It is pretty cool and it free too.  Wink
Noticed one wallet on their app store that costs $22. I think that one is a bit more robust with features then these free ones.

These people coming up with false answers.  Roll Eyes
There has never been any captcha when entering in your credentials upon log in.

They have this message when logging in now:

BITCOIN and DOGECOIN are on maintenance. Recently received transactions are not reflected on your account till we finish re-scanning the blockchain. No outgoing transaction can be sent either. Once syncing operations are finished, all incoming transactions will be deposited to your account.

I just checked their help section and these might be the problem with password authentication as what support was trying to grab at straws:

http://www.cryptonator.com/hc/en-us/articles/201715352

or

http://www.cryptonator.com/hc/en-us/articles/201834311-What-is-a-One-Time-Password-OTP-

for a transaction

Good luck

2048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2015, 04:39:59 AM
Shifting coins between alt and btc on an exchange can give you nice results Smiley

Now that sounds like gambling, unless you have some insider knowledge.
Why only profit if you have some insider information? I see others just trading between alt coins on a good day and making profit. Small amounts but still in the positive is considered profit.
Not really gambling. Only if you risk a large amount to get a massive amount of profit. But just like anything, that is greed and you'll eventually lose on those investments.
2049  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: October 19, 2015, 06:38:24 PM
I hate the banks. Every year they increase their bank fees and come up with new and stupid ways to get you to give them more of your money.
They are clever but not geniuses. The informed clients of these banks will move their money to have it make more not less as the banks continue to gouge us all.
2050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: October 19, 2015, 06:00:37 PM
So, next high price would be $10,000 USD. I may believe this once bitcoin passed it's previous high of $1000. Who knows next high may be $100k also.
I think bitcoin price still impossible to touch $10,000. Cheesy
let alone $1,000 to reach $500-$600 its very difficult for bitcoin prices.

Yes I do not expect.
Simply holding bitcoin is not a smart thought for an active trader. The most ideal way with bitcoin is keep, contribute , and use it normally. It not right to consider monstrous price raise at this moment. Since cost of bitcoin will take a year or more before it get higher.
$10 k a coin is unimaginable at this time. If that happened can you fathom what would happen to the global market pertaining to the other world currencies?
But in response to CasioK's statement:
Doesn't holding any sort of currency show you as being apprehensive or fearful of what will happen to it in the future?

BTM.  Grin That's the first time I have heard that acronym being used. Sounds good too me.
Where was this video taken? At first I thought it was a university in Greece by looking at the profs name.
2052  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate? on: October 19, 2015, 05:47:48 PM
Because they just don't understand others, no one wants to understand the next guy. People are jealous to others because of their success or something they can not achieve which someone has already achieved. People are afraid of what they don't understand or for some cannot connect with, their beliefs are sometimes manipulated, some people turn that fear into hate.

Well said. I think that fear is man's greatest weakness. Turning it into hate is just pure ignorance.
Acceptable is what will make our battle inside have the good side win.
2053  Other / Meta / Re: Why bitcointalk.org Looks so Bad on: October 19, 2015, 05:36:22 PM
Everything on the internet has to change to keep current. But I don't think this forum feels they have any completion, so they are not in any rush to push anything out this year.
Maybe a New years reveal is on the horizon. Now that would be a cool way to ring in the year.
2054  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most you won on any scratchcard on: October 19, 2015, 05:33:22 PM
$25 on a $2 ticket. Too bad that most only win a free ticket. Better than nothing  I guess  Roll Eyes
2055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safest way to store Bitcoins? on: October 19, 2015, 05:29:02 PM
Look into getting a hardware wallet and don't connect it to just any computer. Use only on a computer that you completely trust that has just had a virus scan performed on. Secure internet connection is also a must.
2056  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Fiverr money for bitcoins ( you win +30% ) on: October 19, 2015, 05:24:16 PM
Interested in this.
Would you be able to pm details about how transaction would be processed?
2057  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: October 19, 2015, 05:21:06 PM
Just save 10% of your earnings, including every penny (even if it's not worth nothing to you) and put them safe on a bank. You might not notice today, but when you look at it in the future, you're going to have pretty decent money for emergencies, etc. It is good to save, but it is very important that you keep track of your income and expenses for better management of your finances.  Smiley

Just like my mother ever said, I can save my money not just save it for bank, but also investing into gold or other valuable things.
Surely those things will keep increasing over time and they are the best investment all the time

Would you suggest in investing in BTC now as it stands?

Do you think your mother would see this as a solid investment to give viable pay off in the long run?
2058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin's logo color be gold, and not orange? on: October 19, 2015, 05:13:09 PM
First off, if your going to post a question on a forum you should expect criticism.
I might be pessimistic and I am proud to be. I am not a dreamer as you seem to be. I am a realist.
You should learn to accept that everybody has their own opinions.
No need to be offended and take offense. And no, I don't have 1 btc because I have not worked for it because I am busy working at my real job and until the day that bitcoin is worth more than the hours I put in my job per day, I will not work full time trying to earn 1. Living in reality is much more harder than putting complete faith into something so volatile.
If you disagree with that, then I respect that as it is your decision.
2059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin's logo color be gold, and not orange? on: October 19, 2015, 04:00:55 PM
I'm okay with orange color. Why gold? I think changing something already established makes sense only if you are going to make it much better than before. So why gold is much better than orange?
Orange seems to be a good starting point. Just look at the mcdonald's logo. It was started off yellow then eventually once the brand got stuck into everybodies brains, it became synonyms as the "Golden arches".
In my mind it is an evolution of a brand to change with it's image in people's minds. But bitcoin is far from the gold standard. Maybe when it reaches it's peak again, then the general public will view it alot more valuable. We view it so now because of it's innovation, not it's nominal value like the masses are patiently waiting for it to emerge again to grab on too.
You have to pay over 200 USD for one single bitcoin.

What are you talking about?

It will be worth one million each soon though. We have to push the envelope now, and not " patiently wait". That's not how it works.
200 per coin is nothing to most. Look at the multiple threads about it rising then people selling off. That to me are people patiently waiting.
A million per coin? Pure speculation nothing more.
