Trust me, I'm no fan of ANY American bureaucracy (especially the police). But, perhaps the pregnant woman was a target to teach how to shoot a [possibly fatal] shot and not injure the baby in the womb.

Do you have any figures or statistics? Or is this just a rant?

Anybody want anything?
I'll take a couple of taquitos. Even more so than liquor illegal in the states, weapons, prescription drugs, etc, the food is my favorite part. Usually its roasted corn w/lime and salt followed by 3 carnitas tacos (the entire pork body rotates and slow-cooks all day) and some pistachio helado.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Bitcoins are a HELL of a lot harder to invest than money. I'll explore what you guys mentioned. I'm not going to dig a hole in my backyard and keep them there.

My thinking is OP registered w/one of those sites that offers you ALL public information on a person. Why use his service? Its must cheaper since its a 1 time thing. OP, I salute you. I wish I had thought of this first.

Also, I think some of you misinterpreted my question. But I was curious WHY Bitcoins have gone up so much. What I was asking is essentially are people buying/saving because of this high? And if they are buying, what are they buying?

Technically I guess you're right. But its only the beginning of March. Compare with 2012 year end silver prices.

Cool stuff. Looks like a good glass blower, bet he'd make a mean bong

You guys should check eBay.

I'd be interested, but I'd like to see a picture of them on a scale.

I'm not interested in any challenge. And if you truly created the images the way you say you did...why? They're still a simple image. At the end of the day, its still just the BTC logo in another color.

Anything that is going up in value faster than bitcoins, I guess! I have spent a few bitcoins on other currencies, but other than that, its staying in my wallet until the currency stabilises enough for week to week purchasing to not be too expensive. Very true. I wouldn't buy an ounce of silver unless it was priced LESS than 1 BTC. (Silver Spot: $28, BTC: $34)

Here's a picture of the back of my coin for anyone interested (the square protrusion on the back is the key in QR code)

I'm certainly not spending my bitcoins on keychains or anything like that right now. And anyone with half a brain probably isn't either. What IS worth spending your Bitcoins on?

look at your own link, ALL of the images are based on publicly available bitcoin related pictures. all you did was upload the pictures from google image search to cafepress.
None of the images used in shop saw Internet until I uploaded them on CafePress. Neon, Acid and Cold Bitcoin probably didn't existed even as a thought few weeks ago. one of the people checking the content uploaded was and is strongly against Bitcoin
So if we patronize your store we are supporting a business with people strongly against bitcoin? If one (1) guy on irrelevant position in CafePress foodchain (unless that is true, there would be no store right now) not supporting Bitcoin is enough for you to not buy anything from Bitcoin Megastore than don't buy from it. looks to me like you fired up mspaint, used the dropper/paint bucket, then uploaded them to cafepress. If you actually did something special that showed you had respect for the community instead of just trying to make a quick buck, you might get some positive reviews. Photoshop, 5 minutes

The scratch-off sticker is an interesting idea, but a plain surface is too easy to counterfeit. A scammer could easily redeem the coin and place a new scratch-off sticker on the coin. The benefit of a custom hologram is that it is difficult and costly to counterfeit. You can get custom-printed scratch off stickers from places like scratchoff.com.
Another problem might be that some scratch-off surfaces could be worn off by normal use, so some testing is necessary.
The scratch-offs that I provided a link to sort of laminate whatever surface they are on, so you are only scratching away the top residue of the sticker. Thats why they work on any surface. Also, they leave a sticky residue if you try to peel them off.

I have seen people all over the forum saying there's no way the Bitcoin can fail now-I hope thats true. Bitcoins are certainly not yet ubiquitous and if the average person has even heard of them they probably just associate them with drugs (Silk Road). Yes this has achieved media attention, but frankly not as much as one might think. Perhaps this is because anyone in power does not want to admit that they wouldn't know/have any real power in ending Bitcoin, and the aforementioned would be bad publicity. So, I don't think Bitcoins will (or can) end that way. I believe the only thing that could end Bitcoins is the lack of the community and world's view of them. The issue of BFL particularly makes me scared. I don't want to make this a debate about if they will or will not produce and ship out working units-so let's just say they don't. This, in terms of dollars, would mean BFL was a HUGE scam. I believe that would get MORE than plenty of news coverage, as those in power take advantage of the scam en route to discouraging Bitcoiners and would-be Bitcoiners. Is BFL (or could it lead to) the end or at least decline of Bitcoins?
