For the most part I'm done doing trade involving BTC (buying things). I'll keep a couple around if there's something I really like. I don't have a ton of coins, but I do have a decent amount. I know it's impossible to say, but does anyone have any advice on the BEST way to invest these? Of course every investment is a gamble, but I feel one involving BTC is even more so (crazy number of scams, etc). So to sum it up, I want the greatest reward with the least amount of risk. Yeah, who doesn't? But I just wanted to get a discussion going...
It would help if we know whether you want a regular income, capital growth etc and over what time span you want a return. Do you want to put all your eggs in one basket or diversify? That's the thing-I don't know I'm willing to part with my coins for say...6 months-year. |

BitMit definitely has some bugs that need to be worked out. Sometimes I hesitate to do business on there because I feel like if I have funds in escrow they'll disappear with the site.

Hi, Up for sale is this Morgan Dollar. It is in About Uncirculated Condition. The tone makes it look old (and it is) but actually increases the desirability of the coin. What determines a coin's shape is the definition of the features of the coin; the words, the face, the border, etc. You can see on eBay that toned Morgans go for a premium. For this one I'm asking 1.1BTC shipped anywhere in the US. Thanks!   |

Ok well I want it when I Get paid on bitmit (Tommorow) But the escrow might take another day, How many packs do you have? I have for sale Papaver Somniferum, or Opium seeds. Yes they're real opium. If you wanted you could plant a field, score the poppies and harvest the raw material into heroin. What I do though is wait til the poppies are just about to bloom and I pull them off. Boil them in a hot water, filter and you have poppy tee. Nothing crazy-just light and relaxing. But be SAFE! I won't say the variety, but they're the ones I grow and initially started growing because they're the easiest and require the least maintenance. And if anyone is concerned, owning and planting the seeds is 100% legal in the US. Cultivating them for their raw Morphine/Codeine is not. But we're all adults here  I'm only asking 0.175BTC shipped. I'll keep one for you. |

you are asking for over double what it's worth in silver content  Intrinsic value to collectors, that is not a cull to be traded at melt. I've got a bucket of 1922 peace dollars, theyre only worth $22 each. Not $45 in BTC. Complete ripoff That's true but I doubt the OP was trying to rip anyone off. If you had a 1921 Peace Dollar I'd pay 1.5 BTC for it in a SECOND. Check out coinflation.com. Also, condition is very important to coin collectors. If you're coin was BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) I might buy it. |

Would you be willing to write an introduction east asian history paper (less than 5 pages) on Japanese chivalry and the main elements of it? It's due on the 1st (first draft), then final 19 Mar, and I can pay a few BTC for it.

I doubt that, how do you know what the class average will be and that your ability to score above that. Simply send the coins to escrow, and don't release them until a higher than average grade is produced. Exactly. That's a guarantee that if I don't live up to, I don't live up to and you don't have to pay me anything. And I'm not going to post my work here. Everyone in college has to submit ANY written assignment through "turnitin.com" which screens for plagiarism, and I would rather keep my exact identity anonymous. Mine is a huge scrap silver lot. It was an auction on BitMit. I put a listing in the "Lending" thread because I didn't have enough BTC. One user (forget his name but he's gotta be one of the nicest guys there is for what he did) PM'd me and said he'd give me the loan, no interest, and I'd have two months to pay him back (I did it in one).
So, I bought the lot, melted down the scrap jewelry and sold it as 1oz ingots on eBay, and then the rest of the lot (old 90% silver coins) I sold for only a few BTC less than what the loan was for.
So, I made out great. I offered to send the guy a 1oz bar for free but he refused. That really reaffirmed my beliefs-there are still good people out there.
