you guys are all fucking paranoid its insane. why would i WASTE my money on a lawyer instead saving up for  my trip , already wasted enough?

C'est la vie Tongue  So you won't go on your trip if you don't get the cash.  It's not the end of the world.

I agree with previous poster, I don't think you're gonna have any luck here.  Ciao!
3965  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 40 bitcoin loan on: February 26, 2013, 09:41:46 PM
Following me here?  Okay.

You want money that you're going to spend on personal matters.

You promise to pay it back with interest.

Okay.  We're up to speed?  Good.

1.  If you can't afford to pay for your personal matters now, how do you plan to get that, AND the cash to pay back your loaner?
2.  You have no intention to spend this money on something that will generate more money.  Think about it from the loaner's perspective.

I mean, the least you could do is lie to me.  Tell me you plan to use the money to make a butt load more money.  Then I could at least call you a scammer.  But this is just silly.
3966  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-02-26 Zerohedge.com - Alternative Currency Goes Mainstream As Bitcoin ATMs on: February 26, 2013, 09:12:59 PM
Yeesh.  You're right, the comments are filled with morons.  Not taking into consideration their points of views, but in their logic (poor, if existing), and their ability to type proper, coherent sentences.  Anyone who can't figure out the difference between there and their should have their nets revoked and sent to bed without supper Tongue  Hell, they say we're the ones with the tinfoil hats?  People just throw a random sentence out there, such as, "What if Bitcoin is backed by the CIA?", and they're supposed to have any credibility beyond that?  What the fuck is Google, anyway?
3967  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 5 btc loan request - will repay 8 btc in 4 days. on: February 26, 2013, 08:53:48 PM
Doesn't help that the only two areas you've posted on are newbies then straight to lending Tongue

3971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the companies accepting bitcoin continue to pour in? on: February 26, 2013, 06:57:38 PM
Calm down Piper. No one put forth any data points and no one is arguing. I am just saying that btc is not working as money right now. People are holding the BTC on price speculation, that will change.

Agreed.  Until the price stabilizes (not anytime soon, and if it does, it'll still take a while for people to come to terms with it), people won't want to spend their BTC, for they know if they hold onto it, it'll continue to make them wealthier.

In other words, super lame if you're trying to use it as money.

I received the moderator report from you, and your reply wasn't that polite so to say. Gweedo is our resident troll but in this case I don't think he's trolling you. He has merely stated an obvious fact, and even taken the time to explain a question to you.

Still trolling rather than helping. Is this how your community works? If so, may Bitcoin and every asshole that deals with it fall to ruin.

I apologize to all who took offense. I don't respond well to trolls. And I did google search the issue. It got me nowhere. It's why I came here for help.

I don't suppose it ever occurred to anyone that my attempt at solo mining was only to ascertain exactly how much computational power is required. Since all current pooling efforts reward very small amounts to any new members (and that's for the few pools still accepting new members) that maybe I was interested in setting up my own pooling effort. To that end, it should occur to everyone that the primary way of making the value of any currency rise is the use of that currency by both consumers and retailers. Supply and demand; it's the base of every economy. People who invest time and effort in mining are more likely to invest similar time and effort in convincing retailers and consumers to use the currency they've invested in. Anyone setting up a new pooling effort would want to maximize the value of what they do gain by convincing more people to use the currency.

If the community responsible for the maintenance of bitcoin is to respond in a manner that is not at all helpful to those with questions, would you, as a retailer or consumer, want to be a part of that system? You know the answer to that.

None of us are responsible for the "maintenance of bitcoin" Tongue  We're just folks who like bitcoin.  We're basically you.  That's why it was weird that you flipped a table over something really small.  That's the kind of stuff you do to the guy in India who's trying and failing to help you with your phone bill.  Not to some dude you're in a room with who was kind enough to point you in the right direction.

Lesson learned: never do business with anyone who uses ":3" or any of its variants.  (;3, =3, v3v, etc.)

3977  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How The Government & Media Cheated Ron Paul on: February 24, 2013, 07:55:01 PM
The entire election process was a sham. The ratio of RP to Romney signs I saw in my travels was around 20:1. Then when the nomination was won stolen by Romney the ratio of Obama to Romney signs was roughly the same. The whole thing was a joke...a very expensive joke. RP was never going to be allowed to be on a ballot opposite the POTUS, it was always going to be Obama lite and an easy re-selection. Why would a conservative minded voter cast a ballot for Romney? Choice is an illusion.

Now all we gotta do is get everyone to realize it Smiley  It's a tough job, no pay, long hours, and you're bound to be insulted and laughed at every five minutes or less.  You down?

3979  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How The Government & Media Cheated Ron Paul on: February 24, 2013, 05:49:08 AM
so it's not just propaganda. They are fucking with the actual votes too.

I remember watching a video once on some of our electronic voting systems. They are suspicious for 2 reasons: Closed source. Why in the world would you want to have a closed source voting system running our elections?  #2. If you insert a disk in the voting machines you can actually change the data with software on the disk. Why in the world do these voting systems allow code to be executed from inserted media?

Because anyone who openly points out the flaws of this system is dragged through the mud with the term "conspiracy theorist" Sad  Thus, everyone ignores said person, and the system moves on; at least until the issue gets major coverage.  If it hasn't already, it probably never will.
3980  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Free Market Fascism on: February 24, 2013, 05:28:48 AM
Free market + regulation = not free market Tongue  And social classes won't help.  We're supposed to be getting rid of social classes, not perpetuating them.  I'm tired of Paul being more valuable as a human being just 'cos he's got the dough, but Jack, the guy who makes Paul's life possible, is supposed to be worthless and easily interchangable.  Fuck Paul!  He should be pulling his own weight Tongue
