There seems something logically fallacious in the notion that Bitcoin will succeed and Litecoin will fail despite the fact that Litecoin does what Bitcoin does. The assumption is that there can be only one given a lack of differences. What precedent is there for placing such concrete faith in this assumption?

Finally, there are technical differences and saying that there isn't over and over doesn't make it less true. Faster confirmation time is rather nice, imo and having an alternative for GPU/CPU miners in the face of ASIC (as a result of a technical difference) may create a real thriving market in the near future. It is not like some other alt-coins I will not mention that have absolutely no market for expenditure.

I believe people just find it odd to have more than one currency side by side.  I don't think very many people can say they were raised with competitors to the dollar Tongue  But if LTC succeeds, it'll likely be alongside BTC.  I don't see Bitcoin rolling over anytime soon but you never know!

They're excluding anyone whose account was made after Feb 19 (I think.)

Discrimination, I say!

In other words, it's Bitcoin.

Except it isn't.

I think you're pretty interesting.

Stop asking for permission. It only encourages them.

This.

Obama has put the Department of Homeland Security in the hands of a really disturbing cabal of obese, self-loathing communistic ultra-feminist lesbians.  Knowing this group, passive-aggressive targeting of "breeders" and children is pretty much right up their alley.

DHS was, of course, the agency created by Bush in order to consolidate intelligence oversight in the hands of the Zionist neo-cons who perpetrated 9/11.

It also includes the security theater troupe who grope you at the airport, while still letting guns and explosives through.

So it's basically a fun house of myriad lunatics at this point.  And I'm sure they will all be working together to suppress internal dissent during the ongoing, contrived economic implosion.  Based on their ideologies, psychoses, public statements and past actions, odds are this will include direct attacks on US Citizens as well.

Everything's going as planned. Sad

Great news Grin

What can stop Bitcoin now?

A big ass meteorite, the sun going nova and maybe Global Thermonuclear War.

Oh you mean realistically? Another cryptocurrency which is superior in a way I obviously do not know (else I would create it). I'm pretty sure cryptocurrencies will be around for the the long run.

+1

Whether it's Bitcoin or something else, this new technology has trumped the dollar in every single way.

Only question is, how much kicking and screaming should we expect from fiat?

Just bought my first club with bitcoin Grin  Who wouldn't love this currency?

Maybe Hitler can better explain what's going on... Tongue

Looks like civil war's a-comin.  They'll arm cops and soldiers to the teeth, but the citizen?  No, he can't resist.  We can't have resistance.

So, they have the drones.  They're training law enforcement to easily turn on their own people.  They're sociopathic lunatics.

Guess they're just waiting for someone else to make the first move.

But really, children?  Why not a dog with a rifle strapped to his back?  This is highly unsettling, to be mild.
4055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All my coins stuck in unconfirmed transactions on: February 20, 2013, 09:19:00 PM
I thought bitcoing was p2p ... so who is it that is processing transactions (and delaying the processing of low payment transactions?).

The miners take care of validating transactions, and are compensated with the transaction fee, I believe.  Along with minting new ones.

There's always Bulgaria. They don't have a government right now. You could go waltz right in there and declare it the Fiscal Republic of Bitcoinistan.

I laughed harder at this than I probably should have Tongue  I'll have to keep Bitcoinistan in my vocabulary from now on Grin

Anarchy Grin  Where there is nation, there is government.  Where there is government...well, we all know how that plays out.
