1261  Economy / Economics / Re: Standard of living on: May 12, 2022, 09:36:14 PM
The prices of goods and services are increasing everywhere in the world, inflation being the major reason why, the physical and political war in Ukraine is also compounding issues for some specific countries, as we know if prices of commodities are high which they are, people will spend more money to buy the goods they need and pay for the services they want. Standard of living on the other hand is like a general term to quantify the economic well-being of people in any country, meaning if the prices of goods and services are high, people would be able to afford very little goods and services and that will make the standard of living to drop generally, and that also goes vice versa.

So i would like to know what the standard of living is like in your country now compared to five years ago. Was there any sharp difference in the standard of living pre pandemic and now. If there is a great fall in the standard of living in your country, have there been any move by the government and employers of labor to alleviate the sufferings of people. People who live in Ukraine, if you don't mind, i think a lot of people would want to know what it is like there too since the war began.

My country is certainly facing a hard situation right now recovering its own economy. People have suffered from unemployment due to closed establishments, good thing a lot of jobs are offered online. And all the goods and services have been increasing so high, that even rich people have learned to tighten their budget. I can say that these things were not as really as hard before the pandemic. Hopefully we'll recover soon.
1262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 11, 2022, 11:46:11 PM
Hello 👋
Okay, presently I want to ask why the sudden panicking around the media and forum here.
I could ones remembered when bitcoin was +$69k and everyone seems to be panicking for the price to get 32k or below. Today we have another chance to buy very low yet people still waiting for the price to drop even more lower.
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
What do we do?
The market has been experiencing a bearish look since the start of the year, so that makes it always a big opportunity to buy more coins. However, not everyone in the crypto market realized that, as others would want to witness more fallback for prices. And now its finally here. Lucky are those who have prepared for a huge funds, but for those who are tight in budget, just do the safest one dollar-cost averaging. That way, you will never be in loss.
1263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to expect in a bear market on: May 11, 2022, 11:21:32 PM
Another bear market is here again, it's something that happens after a bull market, it just like a normal saying that everything that goes up must surly come down. So this is were bitcoin holders will recover from the crash but I have a big doubt for Altcoin, Bitcoin definitely bounce back.

For new alts maybe I will also get doubt if they cam recover but for those altcoins.at the top which has been tested for so many bear season I guess potential is there because like bitcoin they survive and recover also got their ATH on some time. But on this season I most say that its good to add more bitcoin in our portfolio because for sure we can see more great changes on it im future.
This bear season is always a great opportunity to buy potential coins around that will sustain its value in the market. But if you really want to gain the most advantage in the market, focus on bitcoin. It will never leave you in losses, but will give you the biggest profits if you intend to hold it for long term. Also, investing in established altcoins this time is also a great idea, as they will always recover after every fall of prices.
1264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Few Steps To Avoid Losses In Trading. on: May 11, 2022, 10:57:52 PM
Trading is treated same as gambling. They have huge risks and guaranteed earnings at all times are not possible with them. If only a 100 percent win rate is possible, all of us are now going to switch to trading and all of us are going to be rich in no time. If one's stop loss is tight, that means that he will only lose less but a small loss is still considered as a loss although it can be easily recovered.
That’s just how the market is meant to be, there will always be people who are losing and there are also those who will be making money. When you are losing there is someone else who is making money, that is just the market for you.

And it is much better that you experience small loss, than a huge loss, because small losses can easily be recovered as you have said, and if you are able to make use of stop loss the right way, this tool would go a long way in helping you. What really matters is if you are making profit at the end of the month, and not really what you have achieved in a day.
You won't be trading just for short term profiting but it should be for long term. However, if you trade with shitcoins, expect that the profits will only be temporary. And no matter what you do in trading, there will always be losses that's inevitable. The good thing is, if you trade with the right coins, you will learn to maximize your gains over your losses. That makes trading different from losses.
1265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just lost my job, new yorker here, what to do next? on: May 11, 2022, 06:18:45 PM
I'm sorry to hear about your difficult situation, but at such a difficult time investing in NFT is a way to make things worse. Now your investments will resemble gambling, where the risk will exceed any possible profit, and buying NFT is not the best investment either, especially if you don't know about this industry. Maybe soon the market will recover and you will be able to use cryptocurrencies to improve your financial situation, but if not, then what? Then you will lose even more money.
Investing, regardless of the kind of investment, will always be risky as it is. So i won't advise you to invest for now as you only have few bucks left. Prioritize your needs first, and when you get an extra income, that's the time to invest, but never in NFTs as they will not give you long term profits. For the meantime, just wait for the market to recover, and only then you can sell the coins you are hodling.
1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Women's participation into cryptospace - Increased? on: May 11, 2022, 05:34:35 PM
The idea of "meaningfully changing the financial security of their families" by investing in crypto seems kinda wrong to me.
Crypto is everything else but financially secure. The crypto prices are extremely volatile and crypto industry is filled with scams. The entire crypto industry is actually quite the opposite of "financially secure".
It's actually very risky and I wouldn't recommend someone(it doesn't matter male or female) to jump right away and invest his/her life savings into cryptocurrencies.
There's nothing wrong with more women joining the crypto world, but they have learn a lot before putting any money into the game of crypto trading.
Women are also expected to get involved in crypto because we all know that women nowadays have also become competitive and are willing to take risks same with men. Well, there's nothing wrong with that as long as they won't see crypto as a get-rich-quick scheme. Instead, investing in crypto with caution is highly advisable as crypto may give you good profits, but at the same time may lose everything you have in your wallet.
1267  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: May 10, 2022, 11:35:12 PM
Save while you can, invest while you can, and never push yourself to do both when there is no need. You need food, you need clothes, and you also need fun and that's why you need to meet your needs before saving and investing.

It's true that that way we will have a good hope of making a profit in the long run (depending on what investment assets we have), but we shouldn't do it just for the money because actually we still need to invest for health in the long term.
True. Our health should always comes first than any other investments that will generate income. Investments can wait. We should always fulfill our basic needs first so we can live life not the hard way. And if we are now capable to save, then save and reserve some funds for investments. In this way, we will never end up regretting in the future.
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think we should do with our investments in times of uncertainty? on: May 10, 2022, 10:52:27 PM
If it's Bitcoin just HODL. It would be a stupid thing to sell in a bear market. BTC will still reach 100K one day if Putin won't drop the rocket and/or we won't have another COVID, there is always hope in this world.
Despite of market's uncertainties, bitcoin will always recover after every fall, and will always seen dominating the market. So there's no way to sell it particularly if the market turns bearish. Keep hodling until you see satisfying price worth to sell.
1269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies: Stay away and avoid all bounties! on: May 10, 2022, 09:43:48 PM
Thats depend on you how to become active here and used your time. Yes there are bounty hunters whom wasted time on posting just for sake to earn money but not all hunters are like that. There are some whose still remains as human and talk like one and were able to continue a good standing here. It does not mean that if you are bounty hunter your only purpose is to interact due to monetization alone but become an active member too contributing to this forum.
Bounty hunters are not all just for the rewards alone, but some have still made great contributions through their brilliant ideas that the forum needs to know. Maybe most of the newbies today may only aim for the money, but those bounty hunters who have been here for years have learned to realized that there is more than money in bounty hunting, knowledge and experience especially from the legends are also making the bounty more educative for all the newbies.
1270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Few Steps To Avoid Losses In Trading. on: May 09, 2022, 11:30:46 PM
Let me add one more

Do not trade with shitcoins

If you trade with shitcoins, it can be the beginning of losses, if the trade does not favour you, you could have lost most of your trading funds until you realize what shitcoins are.

Some coins are also just like not rising during bull run but continue to be stagnant or fall, until the bear crypto begin and the shitcoin continue to fall more than others. That would indeed be a pain in the ass.
I think it's not good to stay away from trend. We know that shot coins is high risky tokens but if you find any best projects with huge community then it can be game changing investment also. My friend invested only 10$ on Shib and then withdraw 5000$ when list on binance. I myself made 5000$ above from Shitcoins but one thing should not be forgotten that use only 2-5% portfolio for Shit coins.
If you can stay profitable investing in shitcoins, then why not? After all, its certain to us that shitcoins can give us huge profits even in a short period of time, but we should also take caution and learn to monitor more the market as well so that we won't end up selling them in loss. Smart people never stop themselves from investing in shitcoins, but somehow they are quick enough to determine when those shitcoins become not profitable anymore.
1271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to live a peaceful life? Without drama? Then HODL and enjoy the ride on: May 09, 2022, 09:34:40 PM
I've never sold a satoshi since 2013, actually never sold any BTC. I've seen all the ups and downs, seen them all. I'm very relaxed now because I just HODL and enjoy the ride. Let the weak hands lose, the strong hands will remain. Go on and sell your BTC to the big boys. One day BTC will go in the $xxx, xxx zone and many of you will regret selling. Dips are temporary and BTC will still exist in 2140, remember that, it cannot just disappear. Go on, make the rich guys richer. They will be happy to buy it from you, but remember, once you give it away it's gone.

Actually I cannot believe a new opportunity to buy BTC for cheap has been given to everyone. It could be among the last who knows!
You must be living a good life already OP that you were not tempted to sell even some of your btc's. I guess you will have a very bright future ahead, as everything will pay off in the end. But not in my case OP, because i have sold some of my coins but with a great purpose. So i won't be regretting in the future because i was also in profit when i sell them. For now, i'm starting to accumulate again more bitcoin for my portfolio so i can still be profitable in the future, as there's no late when it comes to bitcoin.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 06, 2022, 01:11:45 PM
There is no doubt that Grizzlies with Ja Morant with it is really a strong team and they managed to cut off the winning streak of the Golden State Warriors and even though I am a GSW fan too I can really say that the Grizzlies really did a good job in defeating the GSW last match.
As if that was a big win.. Man, Memphis are playing at their home court, warriors steal one game, so it's hard to say that this team is a good team, unless they'll steal one game as well in the Warriors home court. Well, I know we have a lot of Grizz fans here, that's good to know because this makes the series more entertaining to watch and follow.

Both of them make their opponent life more harder and I cannot also call which one of them are much stronger knowing that there's a player on GSW got injured on that match maybe we can see a different result if they Grizzlies didn't over extend their physicality but I understand about that since its part of the game and somehow this is the strategy to defeat their opponent. Maybe if Grizzlies can win this series and successfully eliminated Warriors for this round well this can make people agree that this team level up and got more higher chance to get into the finals.

I like the enthusiasm of some who believe that Memphis could defeat the Warriors in the series.
If you really believe that will happen, take the very attractive odds for Memphis to win the series..

it's a huge 3.60 right now.
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/basketball/usa/nba/nba-21-22-60f9572f41ddce1ac040cdfa

I would not hesitate to take that if I believe that Memphis will win.. However, I'm with the battle-tested Warriors and I'm every willing to take a bet giving the Memphis +1.5 in the series. If anyone willing to accept this bet, PM me, make it 1:1 so there's a sense of betting p2p than in the bookie.  Smiley
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 06, 2022, 01:00:48 PM
Nope, I don't se it that way. Siakam may have injured Embiid but that was clean, and there was no controversy on that. However, Brooks play was pretty obvious it was a hard foul to hard GPII, and the organization speak their decision by suspending him one game, he would not be suspended if he is not guilty.
Players code. One example. "Meet me at the top." I heard that from Westbrook when he was fouled by DeAndre Jordan who grabbed him down avoiding an easy layup for WB. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vZrc0vm7E0
I agree with Kenny "The Jet" Smith about there's a right way to make the foul and avoid an easy deuce but because of the inexperience of Brooks and the spur of the moment, it was done wrong.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zym9qaEaeM
I don't think Brooks is a dirty player, there's no history of him doing those kinds of fouls but a suspension should be acceptable to him as he knows he went far on that play.

The schedule changed I thought I will be watching Warriors vs Grizzlies tomorrow but instead, it will be teams who played yesterday.

Whether it's intentional or not, what's important is that Brooks is already sanctioned and he should know that what he did was wrong. He can be aggressive but always ensure that his movement will not severely injure a player, because if they think of injuring a player to get rid of him, that is not good sportsmanship, and a bad competition just to win.

There's always a corresponding sanction when you do something wrong, and the organization already implements that.
That's why it's a good action by the NBA, there's no favoritism.
Draymond was even suspended for a Flagrant foul 1 against Lebron in 2016 NBA Finals, and what Brooks did was worst.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2645742-draymond-green-suspended-lebron-james-given-technical-foul-for-altercation

Now we all need to move forward and see if how both Memphis and GSW will pay this series. I'm sure after that defeat GSW will
be more aggressive playing at home. Aside from more offensive attacks, they will provide better defense for Morant and the rest
of Memphis.

No GPII and no Brooks, I think this is a fair match up, the only advantage of the Warriors now is they are at their home, so I expect them to win, but to cover the spread, I'm a bit doubtful..  Angry

Maybe Klay will adjust or a double team will be more strict not to allow Ja' to penetrate with a much higher confidence.
Hopefully Klay will produce a playoffs number.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 06, 2022, 05:45:41 AM
When you can earn money from gambling but do not stop as soon as possible, the chance to lose the win money will be bigger and will be there because the next round can be the bad round that can make you get lost. So before you experience the loss, it is better to save your win money and enjoy the winning moment. Only by doing that, you can prevent losing the win money.
I'd rather think of disciplining myself when I'm losing than when I'm winning. As they say, seize the moment because when you are lucky, you might be able to win more money and if you ended up losing, at least you had a chance to win big money. On the other side, if you are losing, just don't chase, instead, keep within your limit so you'll not be too desperate in the end and you might end up gambling on what you cannot afford to lose anymore.

1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ever heard of this "buy at dip and be rich in the future" on: May 05, 2022, 10:23:45 PM
I did it all month of April. although do not know where the lowest point. I bought AXS, I bought Sol, ftm, luna, bitcoin, avax, all coins that I think have great potential and prices are falling. but today i started to doubt, what i did was right?
after I observed my assets were down quite a lot and it was enough for me to have trouble. I want to ask what did I do wrong? Or is this the right decision?
This is natural in a volatile market, the prices will always fluctuate so you won't have to expect that it will always stay on top, or in the bottom price. As long as you are sure on your investments and you think they have big rooms to grow, just stay patient and keep hodling them. You will only experience being profitable when their prices have started surging, and when the market turns to bullish, that's the best time to sell and make profits.
1277  Economy / Economics / Re: Bill passed requiring drunk drivers to pay child support if they kill parents on: May 05, 2022, 09:30:23 PM
Well, someone who has issues as you have said shouldn’t be drunk driving. It’s not like they’re the only ones who has issues in this world, a lot of people also has issues so you shouldn’t come out there driving like a mad person and cutting another person’s life short all because of your stupidity.

So, the law is a good one and even worse should be done to them. If anyone wants to get drunk, then they should make sure that they are not stupidly driving, rather have someone drive you home or you can order an Uber. Not just hop in your car and start driving like a mad person on the road. This is an issue that really needs to be solved.
Seeing a lot of drunk drivers still driving in the road has been very usual not only in one's country, but i guess for most of the countries now as its been so hard to resolved that. However, if the government tighten their laws and policies about that, i think that will reduce the cases. And even let them pay on the consequences of their actions will make them more cautious not to drive when drunk. Hopefully this law will be adopted too in my country as a lot of accidents are happening due to the stupidity of drunk drivers.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 05, 2022, 02:13:24 PM
Are we going to see a 2-0 score in the series tomorrow?

Please react guys if you think Celtics has a chance to even the series, and how do you think they'll do it.
They have the same spread in game 1, IMO, still favorite and if they win I think they'll cover, but can they win? that's the question now.
I myself fall for the Celtics hype, Lol, but yeah Boston is still the favorite, but with the way Giannis handle all the defender, it will be a very difficult series now for the Celtics. And I think the goal of the Bucks is to steal at least one game at the at the TD Garden. They just didn't steal one game but completely destroyed the Celtics. So most probably we might see 2-0 tonight.

But they have a big lead against the Bucks now. Although Giannis is finding a way in the 3rd quarter, he was visibly frustrated in the first two quarters because of the superb defense the Celtics is now putting on him.

I doubt that we will see 2-0 tonight, most likely 1-1, but as you have said, they steal one game and be back at Fiserv. So it's time for the Celtics to bounce back at game 3 in the road.
So it's good that the Boston Celtics was able to bounce back to tie the series now. But as you have said, they will have to get back the home court advantage by winning at Fiserv which is not an easy thing to do with Giannis playing very high basketball at Fiserv. It will take a lot from Boston to shoot good and Jayson Tatum to have a series like he did against the Nets. Let's see how will they fair on the road or how the others will have to step up just like they did in game 2.

Bucks has to win both games, because if not, the advantage will be shifted to the Celtics if this series goes to game 7. Celtics did the right thing in game 2, but I think that is not enough to beat the Bucks especially if the Bucks will play a tight defense.

Not sure if Smart will be back in game 3, but they need someone like hime who play good hussle.

1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 05, 2022, 01:53:25 PM
Congrats on the Suns bettors.

That was great 4th quarter run, it only showed that Mavericks don't have a good defense and they are just a one-man team.
Luka was goating in the first half but got tired in the 2nd half, I smell a 4-0 here, just like what Suns did to the Nuggets last playoffs.

Anyway, I'm a bit sad because I bet on the under, I thought I will see better defense, but nah.

They try to provide good defense, but Paul really heating up and plays so well.

It's not easy to defend a kind of star CP3 was, he can shoot or pass the ball, his IQ is very huge, he is not the point god for nothing
right? The problem with Mavs, they don't have the balance. When Suns start to overrun, then they just throw the ball without proper
system, forcing shots and missed a lot of close range attempts.

Exactly, that balance is very much lacking for the Mavs. They beat the Jazz even without Luka but Suns are a different team, everyone is willing to score and they are moving the ball very well. Booker and CP3 maybe the best players but they have a huge support from the other starters, plus Suns control the paint.

Dallas 25 rebounds vs 34 rebounds of Suns, that alone is a big statement that Dallas is not better than the Suns.
1280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the future of crypto 10 years from now. on: May 04, 2022, 11:55:55 PM
Bitcoin is the best coin in crypto and as the years passed by there are a lot of coins (altcoins) that is more profitable in terms of investment on both short and long term process, in you're future sights and speculation of btc based on some good promising projects that is now scattering and has a posibility to move to next level in the near future, Can there will be a coin that can manage to surpass btc 10 years from now?
I would not close the possibility that there will be another coin in the future that could beat the performance of bitcoin. But if the future coins will all be created from the image of the present crypto coins, then i'm very much confident that bitcoin will still dominate the market by that time. And to think that bitcoin has still a big room to grow, and to improve its features, then its quite hard for those newly launched coins to outperform the potentials of bitcoin.
