1221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: An advice for Crypto Investing on: May 25, 2022, 04:19:54 PM
Investing in crypto assets is risky, but it can also be incredibly profitable. If you want to obtain direct exposure to the demand for digital currency, cryptocurrency is a good investment.

Let me highlight the key points you should be aware of before investing:

1. DON'T USE YOUR PERSONAL SAVINGS FOR INVESTMENT - as the saying goes, "invest what you can afford to lose," so set aside money for this purpose.

2. PLEASE DON'T EVER BORROW MONEY - this is a mistake that many people make, and unfortunately, many individuals continue to make the same error by trying to make a significant profit like "e-sabong."

3. INVEST MORE IN CRYPTO STUDYING - As the saying goes, "knowledge is power." More knowledge improves our decision-making abilities, as well as our ability to choose the logical and ethical reasons on which we want to base our decisions. Problems are solved with knowledge. Knowledge improves our reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

If you have anything to contribute, please do so. Let us assist one another.
These things are considered necessities if you want to succeed in all types of investments. However, for crypto which is highly volatile, then one should invest it with high caution. But for most of the newbies these days, they tend to believe their own knowledge and invest in crypto the wrong way. They will only realize the truth about crypto once their investments fail and lose their funds. Sadly, one should lose first before they learn their lesson.
1222  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if BTC's price falls to $8,000? on: May 25, 2022, 03:49:40 PM
A big panic from people Grin
That may happen to them, especially for small and medium investors who already bought bitcoin at a high price and in the market, there will be a panic sell from them.
But the big investor will be happy to buy bitcoin at that price because the price is lower and they might not see that in the next year.
But after the price reaches the lowest price, sooner or later, the price will bounce and start the rally.
Investors who always anticipate that bitcoin price will continue to move up, surely they will start to panic and think that their investments will be over. But for those wise investors who take advantage when there is a big crash, i guess they will never stop on buying bitcoin unless its value surges again. The fact that bitcoin will always recover and increase its value, then there's no reason not to buy when bitcoin is in dip.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you should do in this type of market on: May 24, 2022, 11:51:09 PM
Begin learning and researching on which projects will survive this bear market. It is very clear that a bullish argument for good projects with good development teams have been made stronger today. After more dumps on the market are made, the investors will move more to seek value projects for holding than seek projects for short term and midterm trading and speculation.

Much of the projects in the market will never pump and never reach all time high again. However, there might be 5% of altcoin projects that are presently being prepared to create their all time highs when the market recovers. This is a market for investing in good development teams. The time of marketers and shills are over.
This bear market will always be the best time to invest, and investing on the most valuable projects will make your investment funds worth the time and efforts. However, with all the cheap coins around in this bearish market, its hard to end up investing in the right coins. All seems to have potentials and are promising in the start, but the problem is if they can survive from this bear market and increase their value when the market recovers.
1224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC or DCA other coins? on: May 24, 2022, 10:32:17 PM
The better choice is buy Bitcoin with DCA strategy, why should DCA other coins? ETH, SOL, and DOT are centralized coins, I don't see any reason why we should trust centralized party when it's about cryptocurrency. Trusting a centralized party is similar like you trust a bank. I still consider $30K is still cheap for Bitcoin, though it may go lower in this year.
Focus on bitcoin and you won't be disappointed with it. Seeing the market continue being in bearish, bitcoin buying through DCA is certainly the safest way to still end up not missing the opportunity and be profitable when bitcoin recovers, However, i am not saying that ETH, SOL and DOT will never be good for long term investments, but knowing that they are cheaper than bitcoin, then you can buy them and hold easily if you consider them that will bring future profits too.
1225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bitcoin price drop is an excellent time to buy bitcoins on: May 24, 2022, 09:55:49 PM
Bitcoin price drop certainly provide an opportunity to buy bitcoin. But I wont suggest you to invest all your life savings right away. Currently forces like Russia war and US rate changes along with ban by china and possibility of ban by Russia is plaquing the bitcoin economy. These economical factors will surely get resolved, but it will take some time. Yes I guess if you are thinking of a long term investment. You can invest a part of your money, and in very long run your grand children will thank you for investing in bit coin, but please ensure you pass on the keys
Bitcoin would be the best in demand crypto asset right now, but using all your hard earned money to invest in bitcoin is certainly not a smart move. Yes, you can take advantage with the present opportunity but always invest on the amount you can afford to lose. Bitcoin is never an exception and still susceptible to losses, so never invest an amount that you can't stand to lose. Well, this current price drops in the market brings a lot of opportunity, but you could still end up in losing if you can't manage well your investments, or you manage to invest in the wrong coins and lose eventually.
1226  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding my horses for now on: May 24, 2022, 09:24:45 PM
Is buying bitcoin right now the same with buying later? I stopped buying because it looks like Bitcoin dips isn't over, imagine buying at 19k per Bitcoin, I think the whole idea of investment is when you are buying not running after the best coins in the market, buying them cheap is better or I don't get it?.
If you keep on hesitating when to buy, you might lost the opportunity in front of you. So just do DCA, buying at every price drop particularly if you are waiting for the best buy. No one holds what the future of bitcoin, whether it will drop its price more or recover eventually, then at least you already accumulated bitcoin in your portfolio and that's the good thing about DCA. You never lose anyway, but the fact that you already bought bitcoin and prefer to hold it for long term, then there's good profits waiting for you ahead.
1227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: May 23, 2022, 11:34:23 PM
Putting literally all your money into Bitcoin is not a good idea, not in a sense that you should buy some alts, but in a sense that you should have other investments and free cash. Rule #1 is to never invest what you can't afford to lose, and no one can afford to lose all their money.

And as for alts, no one should be touching them, newbie or not. Fundamentally they have no value.
Crypto investors have known already that bitcoin is the best asset in the market, but its not reasonable to risk all your money investing in a volatile investment. Regardless of how expensive it is, its still prone to losses so an investor should still be cautious whatever the result of his investment. I suggest leave some fiat in your account, that will be a lot safer even if the rest of your money will go to bitcoin and other investments outside crypto.
1228  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to hold in peace on: May 23, 2022, 09:19:17 PM
Is it true that its wrong to hold coins for many years and never look back? Someone said coins can die in just two years, they can also lose demand and hype under a year, so how do one hold with zero worries?.
If you want to hold in peace, then buy and hold bitcoin. Its the most valuable asset in the market so its less likely to lose demand as most of the people still want to buy it even if the value is very expensive. But knowing its value appreciates every year, except for some price correction, then you don't have to worry even if its price drops sometimes because you know in the end bitcoin will be very much expensive and you will make a lot of profits once you decide to sell it a very high price.
1229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 40 high schools in Argentina to launch bitcoin in their curriculum. on: May 23, 2022, 08:39:59 PM
[/url]
Argentina is about to launch bitcoin education in their curriculum,  this is going to take place in 40 High schools with about 4,000 students.  This is  an Interesting news many  bitcoiners have been waiting for,  I think this won't just end in Argentina,  other countries will take this same good  within a short time.

Argentina  is the second highest  bitcoin  adopter in Latin America,  I the reason for the innovation is to make students  know  the importance of bitcoin. The economy of Argentina is suffering in the hands of hyperinflation.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/business/bitcoin-education-launches-in-argentina-for-high-schools
Argentina has made a right track by chosing bitcoin to be included in their high schools curriculum, not that the students will only be aware about the importance of bitcoin, but they will also be capable of gaining financial independence in the future through the help of bitcoin. So it's something that the young minds should know, because if the present generation will fail in bringing up financial stability in our country's economic, then the hope will be pass thru in the next generation and knowing they have gained insights on bitcoin, then its will be easier for them to realize that.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 20, 2022, 09:07:40 PM
Davis would avoid that power and wouldn't underestimate him because he doesn't want to get upset and lose to someone like Romero's caliber.
He could lose and get upset on anyone but it will hurt a lot if it's coming from Romero, Romero is the only fighter that gets on Davis's nerve, based on what I saw on Youtube he really hates Rolly, and he will never accept defeat against Romero and I don't think Romero will stop hating Davis even if he wins or loses the fight, same with Tank, the trash-talking is on a personal level already, if the fight is to close then there's a possibility of a rematch, of course, the hate for each other will continue.
Well, Davis has to be calm and don't let Rolly get inside his head as that would only destroy his game plan comes May 28. We all know how talented Davis is, he can win this fight without a doubt, but if he losses his focus, then we might see a big upset in this fight and Rolly will just laugh at him.
1231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 20, 2022, 08:26:46 PM
I expected to see Heat winning the second game as well but Celtics didn't let it happen. It looks like they had their lesson from the first game and prepared much better for this one. Because their performance was really extraordinary this time. They simply destroyed Heat by a result like 127-102. And the most important thing that helped them win this comfortably was that each one of the Tatum-Brown-Smart trio scored 24 points or higher. G. Williams also made a significant contribution by 19 points. Heat couldn't answer them in the same way and the series is 1-1 now.
They actually had a good 1st half-game in the first game but the Heat respond in the 3rd quarter by dominating the Celtics. In the 2nd game, Celtics made sure that Heat would not do it to them again as they are successful in controlling the game, especially in the 3rd quarter.

After the series is tied, Heat looks like they don't stand a chance of beating the Celtics anymore.
Anyway, Celtics still needs to win 3 games to advance, so it's still too early to conclude.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 20, 2022, 08:14:31 PM
Although the fight is still very far, but I doubt think the odds are going to change. And if Magsayo shows up looking very sharp and focus then Vargas will be in trouble specially if he underestimate his Filipino opponent.

The way I'm seeing Vargas, he always looked up to his opponent and never underestimated anyone.

Vargas is a good match for the first title defense of Magsayo.

I always said even before that those doubters just have to wait for Magsayo to pulverize Vargas and be recognized more as a champion. I'm seeing a good journey on Magsayo and might become an undisputed champion at the FeatherWeight Division.

Let's see if we will see another KO win by Magsayo. The only way for him to silence the doubters is if he could win by KO, that way he can prove that he has the power to KO anyone even a good challenger. We still have more than 1 month to wait, but I'm already excited watching this fight.

Actually it is already good if Magsayo can manage to win this fight against Vargas by a unanimous decision, but yes you are right about that, pulling a knockout victory on the Mexican fighter will indeed silence the people who doubts on his capability and power. I know he cannot be swayed by this types of negative comments, Magsayo have that capabilities and he should do it as he really need to defend his title well.

KO is the most convincing victory, and we all know that Magsayo is capable of doing that. This is his big chance to prove that he deserves the position he is holding now, and since it's his first title defense, he should have a very convincing win, and like we discuss, it should be a KO.

Just a small update.

PBA braces for compact 47th season with return of three-conference format

Quote
THE Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) returns to its regular three-conference format for the coming 47th season that kicks off starting June 5.

Next month PBA will resume, so the fun will resume again.
I can't wait to see the PBA because not only I enjoy watching it, I also enjoy betting on it.
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Mavericks) on: May 20, 2022, 12:14:28 PM
The defense on Luka is only single coverage, if Luka cannot be effective in sharing the ball, even if he score, he will still get easily tired in the 2nd half. That's what we see in game 1, it was close in the 1st half but in then 2nd half the Warriors displayed their full dominance.

Actually, I don't have any problem with that Luka's style since that was effective throughout.

My concern is those lots of failed attempts at the rainbow area right from the 1st Quarter. Dodging the Warrior's defense isn't a problem with the Mavericks but there are lots of uncontested shots made by Luka, Brunson, Bullock, and Kleber to name a few but they can't nail those shots. In other words, almost the majority of Mavericks gunners are having their worst shooting percentage that night regardless if it was well-defended or not.

I believed they can bounce back. The series is still a long way to go. Mavericks don't have a Game 1 win yet in the whole playoffs. They always started behind.

So with that, I think they'll also lose in game 2 and will win game 3. They will have to make the right adjustment, but if their shooting is still awful, then most likely we will see the same result as in game 1. Warriors are very much ready, they'll do everything to protect their home court, so I expect a 2-0 score after game 2.
1235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another warning for every NEWBIE! on: May 19, 2022, 05:23:28 PM
I know most of us here already knew what happened to $LUNA but for the sake of beginners, I want to reiterate and give a warning about investing and going all in on this market.

I saw a post online in our local group about money investing and he shared his experience their about losing all his life saving money because of $LUNA investment, this is very heart breaking and that guy really want to end his life which I hope he wont do it. This is why I want to list some of the reminders about crypto investment and I hope every beginners here won't do the same mistake.

CRYPTO INVESTING - SHORT REMINDER

1. DON'T USE YOUR SAVINGS FOR YOUR INVESTMENT ACTIVITIES - Use your separate funds if you are going to invest on any market and make sure that you are ready to lose that money because investing is not a guaranteed way to make profit, so have some funds for this.

2. DON'T BORROW MONEY - Many still do the same mistake like this and when the market turns to negative, they are also drowning and the situation will get worst simply because they use the money which is not them. If you want to become profitable, save for your capital first.

3. DON'T BE GREEDY - If you already lose money, you should stop for a while and study again so you can know what's wrong with your strategy and start analyzing again so you can do better next time.

This is just a short reminder since I want to highlights the important things you need to know before investing.
There's a lot of news about suicide incidents because of losing money on their investments, and I don't want you to ended up on the same path so please do your own research first and again invest only what you can afford to lose.
Those are the golden tips on how to avoid losses in all types of investments. Also, before you start to invest, always know the risks and its pros and cons because if you can't handle its pressures in the future, then don't bother investing in the first place. The moment you quit in the middle of your investments, you will only suffer from huge losses in the end. Particularly for crypto, this is a very volatile investment, so one should not expect for quick profits so you will not be misled.
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's all about HODLing on: May 19, 2022, 04:56:04 PM
HODlings only increase in value but they don't really have that much value until they realize the profit or spend it on items that are pegged to fiat value. Meaning they haven't earned anything in the process, 1BTC = 1BTC. Worst case scenario, if the HODler decides to cash out out of necessity when market conditions are not as expected. The slightest regret will still be there.
That's the most disadvantage of long term hodling, you still end up losing because you have to sell your coins at the wrong time not because you want to, but because the situation pushes it to happen. Whereas, if you also do buying and selling when there is good opportunity to do so, you will certainly earn from those, aside from the profits you expect from long term hodling. So i guess hodling is not enough, you have to do buying and selling in the market because its the best ways to grow your investment.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: May 19, 2022, 02:07:52 PM
That was tough for Haney, thanks for sharing the news and I think it's a big loss on the part of Haney. However, he has to be tough and try to beat Kambosos on his home country and make sure that he will win convincingly because speaking of judges, they'll surely favor their own.

With this present news, I still don't change my prediction, I still believe Haney will win.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 19, 2022, 01:39:47 PM

Feel bad for Javi Gomez de Liaņo. After being drafted by Ginebra he was traded right away to Terrafirma DYIP.

Trades are usual but what I like to point out here is that Javi even tweeted that his dream was playing at Ginebra and it happened for real. Even Coach Tim Cone has a lot of good words for him. But later on, he was shipped to Terrafirma as this team requested him according to Coach Tim.

But he's in the right team for me. He will have more minutes in Terrafirma compared to Ginebra which already has lots of Guards and Forwards. He should show Ginebra what they give up.

It's okay to dream to be in a good team if you are earning minutes, in the case of Javi Gomez de Liaņo, he does not earn good minutes. So now playing with Terrafirma will give him an opportunity to improve as he will definitely earn minutes if he still bring his talent in the PBA.
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Dogecoin become the new BTC? on: May 18, 2022, 11:48:52 PM
Is it possible that dogecoin can beat BTC after Elon musk takes over Twitter? Imagine if Dogecoin is well accepted throughout the world then BTC wouldn't this makes Dogecoin the new coin? This might sound too crazy to dream about but that Elon musk guy can make anything possible.
Elon Musk has lose his credibility in the crypto market for long. Only newbies fall for him these days. And maybe if dogecoin has a high utility case, it may be a trigger to bitcoin. But for a meme coin like that, it won't happen to replace bitcoin. However, dogecoin may always be the priority for Elon, but at the end of the day, what will matter is the demand from the community and all they are looking forward is bitcoin, and not from a hyped meme coin.
1240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: He Lost His Investment. See what Happened! on: May 18, 2022, 11:19:07 PM
It's a big mistake to entrust your investment to someone else. even though they are professional traders, we don't know what they will do later if there are no recommendations from several people who have used their services.
Its not really advisable to ask other traders to do the work for you even you consider this particular person as trusted.

You dont know what they up to and if we're talking about money, many people are becoming greedy and tend to forget their responsibility or what they promise.

Its best to do it yourself, learn to be a trader using your own knowledge and experience. Because it feels good to earn if you know you gain it through your hardwork and not because of other people.
Learn to trade on yourself and accept mistakes and losses from your initial trades. That way, you will learn from all your mistakes. Creating shortcuts by entrusting your trades to some professional traders will not hone you to be a good trader, you are only giving yourself less chances to learn and earn. And yes, no matter how you deeply trusted that person, the fact that there is big money at stake, people will always resort into being greedy and fulfill his own selfish desires.
