481  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where would you invest $100? on: July 07, 2017, 10:05:40 AM
i recently invested in TEzos, the only ico that make sense to me now, the investment support is huge, so no reason to believe will fail, the first pump will be my exit with a good profit

i only invested 0.2 btc, because i don't like ico in any case, but this was a safe bet in my view, not gong to lose this chance, $100 is a bit too low for an investment, but i would suggest some good altcoin

I'm going to take this as advice for myself, I think people ask where to invest a small amounts of money but everything starts with a small amount and keeping increasing it gradually. Your strategy seems good and I'm going to invest there too but will first research more about it.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 03, 2017, 10:02:05 PM
Well yes partly.  Partly because if you have many bitcoins then you are already rich instantly.  But if you are new to it like me, and do not have many bitcoins then it would not be instant because you have to work hard.  You need perseverance and patience in earning bitcoins.  Same thing with investing or trading.

I'm not sure how many bitcoin do you consider someone a rich one but based on what I saw rich ones (but not instant) are the people that have "accidentally" invested in bitcoin when the price was at one digit or two and have "forgotten" about these assets. Bitcoin is a new way to become rich but it varies how fast this journey can take because if you can become rich instant then consider to lose all these fund instant too.
483  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawal still "Awaiting Approval" in poloniex on: July 03, 2017, 09:25:24 PM
This is the end of a long enough problem with poloniex.
Yesterday I made a withdrawal but "Awaiting Approval" happened again for the umpteenth time and then immediately without a long think I immediately made a support ticket and then I got a faster response than before because a just counted within 1 day time I have received a response from poloniex.
Finally I can be detached from the shackles of poloniex and hope your problems can also be resolved quickly, now I can leave poloniex quietly and will switch to bittrex.

Proof :

When reading all posts in this thread I was thinking that only the bitcoins are being held by them and delaying the withdrawals but seems that even withdrawing in other currencies takes time and contacting always the support really sucks. I have some funds there, don't know if it is better to withdraw in bitcoin or in any other currencies like ETH or DOGE, which one is betteR?
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 03, 2017, 09:20:53 PM
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

Not all of them have a future. There are lots of (shit)coins that really don't have any good future. I have seen that some coins had the same staff but different nicknames different strategy but ended that they had only one goal, to get rich by ICO participant and then dump the price until they sell all the coins, and that's why we see some coins in exchanges that worth few satoshi or less.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can't buy something with Bitcoin quickly on: July 02, 2017, 04:45:11 PM
For exemple, I go to a coffee shop, I buy a coffee, then I pay with Bitcoin, we have to wait for a confirmation, no? or the merchant will just trust me if I show my wallet?
How can we be sure that it's not a double spent transaction or something else?

There are some ways for both of you not to wait, one of them is if you both are coinbase users, if so then when you transfer bitcoin there is no need for any confirmation as it is instant since the coins are moved inside the same company. Another way is using BitGo but don't know if this applies to clients too, in this case in a coffee shop!
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: July 02, 2017, 04:01:09 PM
My plan is to save Bitcoin to feed my family in the future, and if World War III happens I can use Bitcoin to save my family and others. That is what will happen in the future, saving Bitcoin is absolutely important to me

I don't think that bitcoin will be useful in this situation because if the internet is gone then bitcoin is worthless, so is any other altcoin because these work only online. My plan with my bitcoins is to invest in good coins (of course only a part of them) and the rest hold them for a longer time because I think that bitcoin has a good potential to have a greater success but let's see what will happen until the end of this year which many "events" will affect the bitcoin.
487  Economy / Economics / Re: SEPA transactions for underage users on: July 02, 2017, 03:38:47 PM
Hello. I recently created a bank account for students/apprentices.
According to the details, online-banking is allowed with this kind of account.

However, I'm still unsure, are SEPA transactions working, too?

Check for the exchange minimum age (if they have this restriction). If the bank allowed you to make online transfers then don't worry but in exchanges they require verification and I'm afraid if they have limits or if they would accept people under 18.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation became really fast, what has happened? on: July 02, 2017, 03:27:33 PM
I think you got lucky at that time because there were mined fast 3 blocks, the same "situation" is now where 4 blocks were found within 8 minutes, and I haven't seen so many blocks to be found within a short period of time. @BillyBobZorton seems that when Bitmain "pauses" a bit the network gets back to the normality.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SC coin keep dumping - :( on: July 02, 2017, 02:33:50 PM
Do you know any reasons why SC price keep going down? Is it good for long-term investment? I like this project but about SC coin, I feel doubting about its future
Panic selling maybe?
I don't know, it seems they are too cheap now, i think it is time to buy some siacoin and sell them later.

I invested in SiaCoin when the price was at @750 now the price is below @500 which hurts me a lot saying the truth, I believe that siacoin will rise later this month (because I invested Tongue) but the price started to get dumped from Day 1 when "they" introduced the Asics, maybe they are mining now and dumping the price?

Loosing 1/3 of the investment hurts for sure. But you bought on a very, very high level, and maybe this was the right lesson to learn for you, not buying on peaks again, not buying after a x25 rise ...

In my opinion, SC will recover and rise further on. Decentralized storage will be the future for everyone, who won't give his private data into the hands of big, non transparent companies. And Sia is the best competitor on the market by now, with a trustworthy team of developers. The asic will be delivered in march 2018 - as far as I know. So noone is able to mine SCs with it now. I think that the actual drop is a consequence of cashing out profits from the last month, combined with panic sells of the ones which came in too late, combined with a subliminal feeling of uncertainty.
I can't - and I won't - advise anything to others.
But if I where in your position, I would hold the coins.

We never know when a coin is going to get dumped or pumped, so do I, I thought that at that time SC is going to reach 1k so I was ethinking that it's a good time to buy and sell at 1k later but that still didn't happend, but if within a month the price gets doubled (now to 1k) then It's not a problem for me.
490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big dump, buy the dip on: July 02, 2017, 02:07:11 PM
Hello,

You clearly realised that , we are experiencing a dump. I think it will continue , I would like you though on the lowest bitcoin price in order to buy it.

Share you thougts Smiley

It's not every month, it's every summer months. I think that one of the reason why bitcoin and all altcoins are having bad days is because people are in vacation, especially from 1 July people prefer to spend their holidays far from the computers and electronics but the miners don't know what holiday means so I think that the price for the coins will get back after a month.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: imagine 550,000 ETH dumped in a few hours on: July 02, 2017, 01:51:16 PM
So, with EOS collecting 550,000 ETH already, and first round ending in 5 hours....

and it will be traded already on bitfinex?

so, we can imagine the proud owner of 550,000 ETH wants to cash some to pay development?

How much would you cash in current state of ETH?

I would cash all.

If he cashes all, what happens to the ETH price?

Yeah that happens. we are talking about 550,000 x 300 = 165,000,000 $ worth of ETH.

brace for impact.

If 165,000,000 $ worth of ETH dumping across exchanges the price per Eth probably go down to $5. There are not enough buy walls money to sustain that 165,000,000 $
Also most of these Eth volumes are fake.

EOS has been listed today in Kraken so there are more exchanges that are supporting this coin and the market cap seems to be 200k+ which is really a good start. They are not stupid to sell all the Ethereum collected during the ICO, nobody would sell the etherum for two digits. I first watched for the history in coinmarketcap but noticed that it was released only a day before.

493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH] Why still fall so much on: July 02, 2017, 12:52:26 PM
As I know Eth fell due to the fake news of the death of Vitalik and somehow flooded ico Huh Huh
Is there any other reasons for recent drop and where will the price most likely to go?
The downtrends seems to be prolonging for a long time should I hold and wait?
If you feel bad of holding ethereum just invest it into some ICO after knowing about the project. This gives you a better profiting as the price of ethereum decrease is getting prolonged. I don't find any specific reason for the fall in.price, it's all the gradual moves.

But if the ICO estimates the value of their coins in fiat then it means that whatever you invest bitcoin or altcoin then it's the same (low value), but if the value of that coin is depended from ETH then it's a good opportunity to invest with a hope that etherum price will increased and you will get profit at least.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gatehub.net: The worst customer service EVER! Anyone else feel the same? on: July 02, 2017, 12:38:45 PM
Hey all:)
Starting this thread to see is anyone else is facing the same issues as me and maybe we can help each other with a workaround.

So, after rippletrade closed I tried to migrate to gatehub and wasn't able to, so I left it at the time and came back to it again recently and a few months ago I tried to migrate from rippletrade again to gatehub.
This time, I was able to access both accounts and go through with the migration process right to the end but it said there was an error at the end and my XRP balance on gatehub shows 0 after migration.

So I contacted gate hub a few months ago, but have NEVER heard back form them regarding my issue. I sent several chasers and and received Zendesk automated ticket references but have never had a reponse form gatehub, just been completely ignored.

Their support sucks! I have many friends that are waiting for a response from their side for more than a month but still nothing, also it's too hard to get verified there. I have no idea if they have any account here so we could contact them directly and maybe hope to get a faster response.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: July 01, 2017, 07:36:02 PM
I went through the page to invest and seems that DIMCOIN Pre-Ico value is estimated in fiat so when investing through bitcoin it calculates the exchange rate btc/usd so at the moment -$100 in the past 24hours so I think a better idea for me is waiting for the bitcoin price to keep increasing a bit and then invest and since we have time until 15th July I may invest at the end of this period.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every time the media calls Bitcoin a bubble let's agree to buy a bit more! on: July 01, 2017, 07:30:08 PM
I also don't take much personal when the medias talk about bitcoin, most of the time they are not well informed and not well up to date with the recent news about bitcoin. The media's effect is much worse than we can thing because they spread the news that bitcoin is mostly being used by hackers and mostly in the attacks that happens like Ransomware and people are afraid to invest in a such coin like bitcoin.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XMR burnt me really bad on: July 01, 2017, 07:23:08 PM
I bought 36 XMR @ 0.01738500btc . Now it kept decreasing and I am super depressed just looking at the figures. Any idea why is XMR dumping so hard guys?

it's 0.017000 right now, everything goes down, nothing you can do about it. it will go back offcourse, question of time. another thing is that you are depressed because you invest more than you can afford to lose

If you are really afraid then sell if before it's too late, the drop is not a lot and the loss is not a lot. But these days all currencies charts are red and I would maybe suggest you to keep them as the price will keep increasing after few days. I bought some coins too in poloniex but I'm going to keep them as I believe that the green color will show up very soon.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep your fiat at hand in order to buy new bitcoin on: July 01, 2017, 07:14:12 PM
Hello everybody,

I have a question :
How do you keep your fiat at hand to buy bitcoin when you feel it's the right time?
Indeed it takes 2 days to get a SEPA transfer on a exchange plateform. So where do you keep you fiat? On the exchange platform?

Thank you

For instance I think right now I should buy some crypto because the market is low... But I'm waiting for my SEPA transfer !

Maybe you are trying to make a SEPA transfer on Saturday? That's could be the reason why it takes 2 days because it takes less than a business day but "if you don't deliver before 10 o'clock, it will be taken in the next run on day + 1" I don't buy bitcoins in the exchange too, too much verification and too much stress until this happens.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just invested in DIMCOIN ICO on: July 01, 2017, 07:01:03 PM
I just invested in DIMCOIN ICO and I think I have made the best investment move.

Seems that in 21 hours they have reached pretty good target of investments: 810 Participants with a Total Investment 512.97BTC $1,273,349.01. I'm thinking to invest too, seems that the 30% bonus is for the next 2 weeks so I may invest in the last days as I collect more money and invest at once Smiley
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: July 01, 2017, 05:45:56 PM
One year is really long in the crypto world, things move so fast that we don't know how far will go Sia next year, will it be available or will it shut down. I simply can't predict how much will be the difficulty after a year but when these asics come in market things will change too much. I have purchased 285k SIA at 2.2BTC, have I made a good decision? Price has been dropped a lot now!

Sounds like to me they are going to finance the ASIC production with buyer's money, mine the coin for 6 months and run up the difficulty and make a ton of money and then ship out the used units to the purchasers. This has been a pattern, time and time again with mining hardware. That is if they ever ship anything at all. It is easy to put up a website, make fabulous claims, take people's BTC and then disappear. Just a thought, Buyers Beware

Exactly! If there would be a group buy and a trusted escrow chosen in the forum then I would participate even though it will take 1 year I would know that my money are safe.

Getting really disappointed with the SIA price. I'd be better off dumping them all and mining one of the other 100's of coins who's price is running relatively flat or in the green. I'd be much further ahead.

It's not just SIA, most of the coins are red now, and people have a good opportunity to invest now, these coins were never so cheap before.

Do you know the sia team? I do. So i have 0 doubts.

Greets, Hank

I don't, the number of people trusting them should be very low so mining 1 year and then sell the used asics isn't a good thing, is it?
