681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best way to start trading on: February 06, 2017, 08:42:24 AM
IMO
The best way to start trading is with "FREE" or "demo' money. What better way to learn than by TRADING?
I would strongly suggest anyone who wants to learn, dabble or whatever start this way.

Head over to simplefx sign up and use demo account... Save your money until you've learned a thing a two.

Full review of SimpleFx Here

If you mean altcoin trading then I haven't seen any "demo mode" in their website and these exchanges as far as I know do not provide such information, maybe it was on alpha mode when it was for testing purpose but right now not. As you have posted I have seen the demo mode only on forex and on similar websites.
682  Economy / Speculation / Re: New record being at 1000+? on: February 06, 2017, 08:33:22 AM
One of the good indicators of bitcoin making progress is the fact that we are staying at 1000+ for days now and everytime we approach 1000, it goes up again. Doubters seem to be getting nervous and they are getting in when it gets close to 1000.

So we hit a new record? We have been at 1000+ since Feb 2th.

In forum I saw a thread yesterday that people keep updating it with the recent maximum price since 2013 or so, and what I saw was 2013 2017 so for 4 years the bitcoin has reached $1000+ which is good and the fact that the price is 1000+ for not even a week we can't say that it is the new bottom because the price can crash any time unfortunately.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi? Why did he hide his identity? on: February 06, 2017, 08:29:27 AM
Why did Satoshi hide his identity? Has anyone seen Satoshi in real life?
Is Satoshi one person? Or is it a community?

I read an article that monero owners/team is in investigation by FBI because criminals have used this coin and I think that they have tried many time to see who is satoshi and maybe to arrest/contact him to give more information about bitcoin users(just a speculation), sometimes I think that it is better to not know who is or are Satoshi because bitcoin is an innovation. Some are claiming that they are satoshi but I doubt.
684  Economy / Economics / Re: [Poll] Gold vs. Bitcoin as an Investment - What’s Better? on: February 06, 2017, 08:26:59 AM
You have posted this poll in a bitcoin forum which most of the answers will that bitcoin worth more to invest rather than gold, I have voted for bitcoin because I think it has a more potential to get more profit because the price within few years changes very much comparing to gold which I think is more stable.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is fee still high (6000 unconfirmed transactions) on: February 06, 2017, 08:23:37 AM
mempool is practically empty now with 6600 https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions and unless they start spamming again, it will stay empty.

so why are fees still high (140 s/b)?!!

Miners are pumping the transaction fees, this is very strange and unexpected from them, the number of unconfirmed transaction has been increased to 11k which is really high. To be up to date with the latest optimal fees we should check here https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: February 05, 2017, 01:37:41 PM
Guys I know that there are previous posts and polls regarding the highly suggested source of bitcoin but things always change do I want to know what is the current best source of bitcoin nowadays. Please participate on this poll and kindly tell us why that's your choice. Thanks in advance and God bless us more Wink

From the poll list I ignore all of them except trading, all others are not safe and not stable that can generate (best source to earn) bitcoins. Every investment has it own risks but I think that we can more control the money that we have on trading rather than in hyip, cloud mining or any other things because once you send the money don't expect to get the money back for a long time or never.
687  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: February 05, 2017, 01:28:06 PM
I'm not aware of these but I think they are not good because as far as I know only the bosses became rich after people lose their money in casino or other similar things. The hyips promises sometime big amounts of money within a short period of time but we should avoid these as much as possible.

They are targetting social media for the purpose of taking advantage with those who dont anythig yet. You are right their promises are truly good in the eye and can easily be inviting to newbies that is why we must broaden the ways of warning this people. Not just here in our own community but also with social medias. Just a little comment might work and they will turn down those invites.

The social medias are full of spam with referral links from what I saw from the facebook groups or from hashtags on twitter and I think they get enough referrals because of these people but let leave those. The hyips are very dangerous and I have seen many people here that claims that they got scammed but I think that they haven't made enough search.
688  Economy / Speculation / Re: it IS time for rise on: February 05, 2017, 01:05:01 PM
The movement of the price to day is normal and i think more price increase will happen..  in this coming vacation. .for now its normal and we will see price dump again this few days or weeks.. because i know many people will satisfied because they are already made a profit  if they bought the bitcoin in $900 value.

When is the next vacation according to you? As far as I know starting from tomorrow the holiday end in china (because of their new LUNAR year) and I think the price should be increased a little bit because chinese people will start trading in exchanges or so, just lets hope that all exchanges will stay safe and no hack will happen.
689  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: February 05, 2017, 01:01:28 PM
There are many Differences in trading and investing but in investing you have to wait more and should be very patient because once you send the money you have to wait what will happen with that coin or conpany.
Well to add what you have said in Investing it considerably less riskier than trading. You nased your investments Fundamentally, meaning your investments are based on the company's performance while in trading you put your money based on the Techinical aspect in which you based your trades on trends.

Both of them are risky, and both of them are affected by the overall coin or company that these money are invested in. But in trading is a bit different because you have the chance to recover the loss if you have any by that time and also it is more 'portable'.

I heard bitcoin casino investments are quite good, just chose a reliable one to invest in. Examine the casino first before you try putting any money on them because they might be scams. Also, if you are investing avoid hyips. They may seems attractive because of the high promised interest, but they are just scams waiting to unfold.

I'm not aware of these but I think they are not good because as far as I know only the bosses became rich after people lose their money in casino or other similar things. The hyips promises sometime big amounts of money within a short period of time but we should avoid these as much as possible.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum]UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform | Crowdsale March 2017 on: February 05, 2017, 12:54:09 PM
To long start,to many unknown for me in this project.

Have you checked the official website and have you seen the team behind this project and the bakers, I checked one by one and seems that they are really powerful and rich people who invest in great projects such as QTUM. 691  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin atm on: February 05, 2017, 12:48:37 PM
Anyone in the bitcoin ATM business??

I haven't seen any bitcoin ATM physically with my eyes but these are very rear and they aren't in every country in the world. I think they are good if people want to spend/buy bitcoin fast but as far as I'm aware the fees aren't low there.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why people do not get Bitcoin. on: February 05, 2017, 12:39:40 PM
One of the reason why people don't join in or get bitcoins is because of the stability of the bitcoin price, if they don't have any profit using bitcoin they don't join. Also they don't want to buy or invest or use a coin that is being used by "hackers", these are the things that I usually hear.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's TOYS, do you like it??? on: February 04, 2017, 12:58:03 PM
Do you think, most of the toys are here of most of the brands, so why not bitcoin will produce BITCOIN'S TOYS. it will make a help for publicity of Bitcoins???

Do you have any specific idea how and what toys, I don't know if any physical toy is related or can be related to bitcoin. I don't think how can bitcoin be a toy or something similar. For virtual it can be like the coins that kids/gamers play and earn within the game and use them for gems or upgrade something in the game, in this way it can be used otherwise there is no other option.
694  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Hardware Wallets on: February 04, 2017, 12:12:45 PM
Hardware Wallets

Hardware wallets aren't free.
bitcoin hardware wallet The three most popular hardware wallets: KeepKeey, Ledger Nano S, and Trezor.

But the price can be worth if you own a significant amount of bitcoins.

Some of them have build-in screen and some buttons to make it very hard or impossible for hackers to control it but we should understand that these are not free but the money invested in buying this completely worth if the amount of bitcoin is not small. Those hardware wallet that you mentioned are very powerful and are perfect.

696  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we burn bitcoin? on: February 04, 2017, 12:05:00 PM
If each one of us just burned only the 10% of our bitcoin holding, will it makes bitcoin price jump to sky?.Do you think it will create the shortage and thus price increase?

We don't hold any big amount that would affect the overall bitcoin price, but if you mean in general to burn 10% then this is another thing, of course that would affect the price and the price will be increased because of that, and just think that 10% is really a high amount.
697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no "proper" price for bitcoin on: February 04, 2017, 11:37:44 AM
There is no right time to buy bitcoins because we always hope that the price will become cheaper but then we see that suddenly the price gets higher and higher, the current price is high but it may be low if we think after few years.

699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoin using Apple gift card on: February 02, 2017, 09:30:51 PM
Is it possible to buy bitcoin using Apple gift card/itunes card? I am using bitcoin ATM regularly but it is not convenient.
Please share your experience on this (i.e. credibility of sites dealing with these, level of convenience, whether verification needed, etc. ). Thanks.

You may better move your thread to Digital Goods Board or (more likely) to Exchange board, recently I found a website about selling/buying digital things they also advertise here in forum and they are coinmall, please do your own research before using any service and deal through escrow if possible with individuals.
700  Economy / Economics / Re: 2016’s top cryptocurrencies on: February 02, 2017, 09:17:50 PM
In 2017 I expect to see the rise of new competitors to Bitcoin. There are many reasons for that: 1. mass adoption; 2. transaction speed; 3. popularity among businesses; 4. user friendly and very secure apps to use. I'm looking at Byteball, Monero and Dash very closely.

2016 was the year of Altcoins, many altcoins pop ed up and many of them are better than bitcoin in some aspect like privacy or transaction speed and their adoption/integration with other (third party) services. Besides the coin you mentioned I want to mention also Ethereum and Iconomi and some others which were/are and have potential to be successful.
