1061  Economy / Speculation / Re: THE WORST DAY FOR GBP SINCE 1848 on: November 02, 2016, 10:35:21 PM
Hi guys,

Is anyone that is good at investments?

Today I lost more than 20.000$ with GBP/USD.

So what do u think?

I have paused investing or trading because of the many pumps and dumps happening even though it is a good time to invest/trade because of the bitcoin price change but in your case losing 20k is pretty high, what amount do you trade daily?

You can make some money with all the volatility, but if you get the trend long, your entire earnings can get wiped out.
I guess that is what happened with the OP,

Everyone trader want to get at least their money back as soon as possible and make as much profit as they can but this is very risky, and the OP maybe invested all his money and I don't like this strategy because putting all eggs in one basket is very risky but sometimes is profitable.
1062  Economy / Goods / Re: Sell apple iphone 7 for 1 Bit coin Brand New sealed box 1 year warranty.. on: November 02, 2016, 09:24:48 PM
When you made this thread the price of bitcoin was $730 - $734, and the original price in apple website shows that iPhone 7 costs $749 which comes with warranty and free shipping, why would we buy from you for $15 cheaper? No info for international buyer, warranty etc etc.
1063  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: October 28, 2016, 10:52:10 PM
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?

To get rich through bitcoin I think you should have a pretty high volume of bitcoins and have bought them on early stages when the price was really cheap and most of people were skeptic if the bitcoin will rise in the future or not. I know people that bitcoin has made them a little profit but also helped them to know more people.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bitcoin is one new step for sucess. on: October 28, 2016, 10:43:26 PM
Since many of the youths are involved in it. Also it is now a good source of earning. Can new generation be independent and will bitcoin help for personal development.

I think that there is no need for a new generation to see how bitcoin would help them in their personal development but I think out generation will see this, bitcoin has the potential to be more successful and have a better/higher price/
1065  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just hit $675 on GDAX.....fasten your seatbelts on: October 28, 2016, 10:40:42 PM
I have 100 BTC safe and secure on my trezor....I am ready for liftoff...hehe

If the bitcoin price changes for only 1 dollar then you would have a profit of $100 (not including fees), but if the price changes for +$100 you have a profit of $10k which is very great, if you are ready for this what does it mean you are selling all of them?
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Buying ICONOMI / ICN shares on: October 28, 2016, 10:31:37 PM
Question for experienced traders.
How long will it take for the search for right ICN price. seems now too much panic sells, and the value varies much
how much time is needed to form the value of ICN

Few months or up to a year to be stable, the panic selling does decrease the value of ICN very fast and makes more and more people selling their ICN but maybe after a month we could see the price rising.
1067  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Impossible to access Bitcoin websites on: October 28, 2016, 10:29:26 PM
I'm not sure what the hell is going on here but I can't access most of Bitcoin websites , website that I have tried so far are Blockchain.info , Coinmarketcap.com , BTC.com , Blocktrail.com , Poloniex.com  , Kraken , Wirexapp , CoinsBank , Bitmixer.io  and the list goes longer ...

Firefox keep giving me the following error : The connection has timed out , The server at Poloniex.com is taking too long to respond. (All websites)

Can you access from your phone or you can't access these websites from any devices connected on the same network, also try in CMD to "ping poloniex.com" and see if it works or not.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do exchanges get their Bitcoin? on: October 28, 2016, 10:17:03 PM
Two that come to mind are Coinbase & Circle.  I did a quick google search, possibly wrong terms.  The information I got was useless.  I am sure this has been discussed.  If there is a good article/link on this it would be appreciated.

They are big bosses, they have been in the bitcoin industry for a long time or maybe since the beginning of the bitcoin and have invest in bitcoin when the price was really cheap and they hold them and have re-invested them to build good exchanges.
1069  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whos pumping bitcoin now? on: October 28, 2016, 09:52:15 PM
Before I sleep last night the price was just below 660, and now it is above 680. It even hit 690 at one point. It this a legit price increase or is it just a pump for the holiday? Why does bitcoin price seems to pump around this time of the year?

I have no idea is someone is pumping the bitcoin price, but I think that people are interested in bitcoin and are probably buying because lots of people including me think that bitcoin price will be much higher at the end of this year and beginning of the next year.
1070  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: October 28, 2016, 09:47:59 PM
We can expect big crash every time because the security of big exchanges can be broken any time and because of this the price of bitcoin will crash within a short period of time, but for the past recent months I can say that the price of bitcoin has been pretty stable.
1071  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dump Your iPhone on: October 28, 2016, 09:00:27 PM
Dump your iPhone, it's not safe to use it. It can be taken under control at any time.

Old is gold, the nokia does it job perfect for the purpose it was made about, it also works for 2FA if the SMS option is available (but not through Google Authenticator, I have a feeling that the new phones are spying all of us.
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss rail ticket machines to offer bitcoins on: October 28, 2016, 08:58:23 PM
Bitcoin users will soon be able to buy the digital currency from Swiss rail ticket machines. The pilot project starts on November 11 and will initially last two years to see how much demand there is for the service.

http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/trial-run_rail-commuters-can-buy-tickets-with-bitcoin/42552776

We like this idea of the Swiss government and the fees on every transaction seems to be 6%, but why is the phone verification needed when they have the body and face on their cameras?

1074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another exchange goes bust. Bitcurrex loses ~2300 BTC on: October 28, 2016, 08:40:02 PM
I checked their thread and seems that they are not much active here in forum, and the OP of that thread hasn't been online for almost 2 months, but the hacks in these years has been increased too much which are damaging the bitcoin.
1075  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ebay/Paypal's ridiculous fees on: October 28, 2016, 08:33:18 PM
Basically the fees that take ebay and paypal are not good because they are very high I just googled it and they charge 8% for orders up to $50 and additional fees for items more than that sale, and when these two combines their fees are very large, bitcoin is much much better combined with escrow.
1076  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin break $700. For how long it will stay above $700? on: October 28, 2016, 08:23:23 PM
If Bitcoin break $700. For how long it will stay above $700?

If bitcoin break "fast" $700 then it will not stay too long above $700 because I consider that what is achieved fast will go fast too, but if the price increases gradually then it will stay above for a longer time.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be blocked too by the government or isp ?? on: October 28, 2016, 08:18:56 PM
Recently many file sharing sites and torrents had been banned in my country to stop piracy.

Is there a way that the government or the isp may block the connection to bitcoin network by its users ??

Actually there is a way to block the connection but it would not be easy but they actually can. But I think bitcoin is not needed to be blocked by government, this move from them would be useless because bitcoin is not a bad thing.
1078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcointalk on telegram on: October 28, 2016, 07:30:58 PM
Hi guys,
is there a bitcointalk telegram group I can join?

So far I haven't seen any discussion about a telegram group so if you or someone else will great it people will join there but it would be hard to read every message because of lots of messages, it would be a mess.

Maybe some so called group of friends can create in their own like local group that members of bitcointalk forum or something like that. But overall I don't like the idea. If ever there will be an official telegram group, yes lots of members will surely join and it's a totally a mess since it's hard to moderate lots of people in the same group.

It's like Facebook group chat wherein members sharing their suggestions or opinions.

Because of this mess it is best way to stay here and the discussion will be spread in separated thread and is moderated by moderators, the facebook group maybe is better because it is separated by posts but on telegram group it would be really a mess.

1080  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: October 28, 2016, 12:19:27 PM
I believe that Bitcoin has taken its place and displace the dollar it will not. There are people who will always be only a dollar, but there are people who have all their savings transferred to Bitcoin. These two systems will operate in parallel

I use both of them and I am satisfied with both of them becauee i cant go 100% fiat or 100% bitcoin because it is not secure enough, I like the word you mentioned in parallel this also applies to other coins and bitcoin.
