We're finally back in the high 700s after a bounce to 833$ (Bitstamp).
So what's next?
So far i think we'll have a short congestion phase before a new explosion of volatility.
Likely a move down with a possible target in the 680 - 690$ range, within 2-3 days.
Imho.
I can't say that 800 is the bottom but there could be a better price and hopefully see the price to reach the 1k again at the end of the month of in February. Within 2-3 days I can't say anything because it is a short frame and many surprises can happen. |

If the OP really thinks than ethereum is the future of crypto then bitcoin should be there too not outside, eth price changes as often as bitcoin price changed, so if bitcoin fails (which I doubt) then ethereum value will be crash for sure (if not zero)!

Im pretty sure this new version of megaupload will become a huge sucess, and i do expect this time no one loose money, be sure this will difuse bitcoin to those people which left or had considered bitcoin a dead currencie. With that said i do expect to be able to see a bigger value and more interest and support into bitcoin community.
I don't expect a Huge success because its not something that people will fall in love in the first time, It has been a while that it was announced about the concept but still no progress or any estimated time whrn it will be released? This may be a gamble if I can say like that. True no info but maybe it will be boom when is released or it will be approached with caution and care. In any way dont think it will me momentary big it will take some time to adjust then community in general will see is it worth the time. I used megaupload a lot in the past (including megavideo) and it was a good website for warez, but now it has been a while since there is no progres from Kim. I hope that there will be a era in the bitcoin world and I hope many new people will join bitcoin through this project! |

Do you really think bitcoin will reach 10k dollar anytime soon, I think we first see a dump to around 500 dollar and than see an upwards trend to 2000 dollar at most. even 200$ is also hard to reach in early future. it must take another halving. 10k is a joke, 2k is more possible. I'll believe if the price of bitcoin will ever reach first at 2k and then after that then that's the right time to expect more increase. But the sad truth has been spoken, $200 is even more harder nowadays but who knows what can happen. Maybe that 10k will be reached after the next halving but as of now, I'll stick that it is possible to reach 2k within this year or again after 2018 new year's eve. Yeah, the only way that bitcoin price to reach 2k is after a big crash (after reaching 10k lol). The 2k and 10k both of them can't happen now because there is a panic in the trading world and I think people should be careful when trading because there are many changes that are happening! |

Probably because of this and I think that the more bitcoin price goes down the exchange rate goes higher (not only the ICN but also for the most other altcoins), that's why we see the green color on graphs. It could be the time to sell and buy back in at around 0.0003 but its risky there is strong buy support. The price on exchanges seems to be very good and from the public stats in kraken then the highest rate today was ฿0.000486 which is the highest exchange rate lifetime for ICN? |

what i do is not based on times like this, i bought when price was low at $200 then sold a small portion when price had its first rapid rise and then bought back more bitcoin because i had profit.
then waited for another rapid rise and i did the same thing and bought back again.
after doing this a couple of times i now posses lots of bitcoin that i never though i could have.
and this rise was no different, i only sold a small portion on $1100 and i have been buying back at different levels and mostly at the 750-800 dollar range because of it being the bottom.
If you have applied this strategy on the recent pump then lukcy you, I didn't do the same thing unfrotunately but it is a good lesson that if you have a profit on something don't wait to get more and more profit because like now there is no profit to sell the bitcoins. |

In a price range such as this I was curious how most of you hold/trade your asset. Such as just hold and never sell, position trade based on price and or swap currencies through an exchange for another and or cash out.
I just missed the chance to sell a small amount of bitcoin while it was at the highest price in the recent years, this because I hoped that the price of bitcoin will be much higher but got disappointed so I will hold for a longer time now. |

For me i don't throw away that possibility of 10k dollars because bitcoin nowadays is in demand to people who really believe that they will gain better profit and they hold it for investments. So many people would do that kind of investment strategy and hopefully it will make btc price rise towards 10k to make a history for better future. So disappointed with the recent crash, from 1100 to 700s, isn't this a huge drop within a short period of time? I'd like to see the bitcoin price at $2k but being real I would be happy if the price will be back at $1k, too many speculations. |

People who selling for cheap or normal they are just those who earned them or won them from gambling.. but I think everyone will sell on the current market price. if you try to sell for higher price you'll not be able to sell. because no one will buy higher than the market rate.
