2281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you really 'Sell High and Buy Low' in this 2020 BITCOIN Bull Run? on: January 02, 2021, 08:24:55 AM
For us to 'Sell High and Buy Low' is every Bitcoin traders perfect dream but for most people this is not the reality of how this works.  For me at least I always will come up short end with this strategy.

On more then 1 occasion I tried to sell and make profits and to buy back again.  But this method seems to backfire every single time and I lose fiat and its a difficult learning experience.

Long story short is no I dont believe in this method for making profits during this 2020 Bull Run.
2282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: January 02, 2021, 08:07:32 AM
Oh I am so happy, this coin is making me profit.  Grin

Your not the only one who is making some profit from hodling this coin long term.  ADA is now priced $0.17 and up 14.95% this last 7 days.

This explains that since resistance area has been passed ADA on path to $0.21-$0.26.- https://beincrypto.com/cardano-ada-shoots-for-highest-weekly-close-since-2018/

2283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are people buying BTC @ $27000+ idiots? on: January 02, 2021, 07:58:28 AM
This current Bull run is not going to be stopping when we see Bitcoin price of $30,000 at least this my strong belief.

For this reason I have a position at $30,000 because I can see a similar trend to when we hit price point of $20,000.

We shot through this price like nothing and the same will happen for $30k.
2284  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your plans in the year 2021 on: January 02, 2021, 07:52:19 AM
Most important thing that I will be doing in 2021 is to hodl my bitcoins that is without any questions.  But there are things I want to achieve not even bitcoin related.

Hopefully we are able to adopt a dog because we lost a recent loved one so recently.  This year 2020 has been full of bad surprise so it will only has to get better this year.
2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2021 resolution on: January 01, 2021, 08:46:46 AM
I like this idea of a thread so thanks you for making it so I didnt going to have to.
For me I will not gamble so many of my Bitcoins this year 2021 and I will not use them on things that arent needed in my life.
I will try to spend my money more wisely and avoid doing bad things to my body.
2286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: January 01, 2021, 07:35:03 AM
Brave now supports the new 2020 Macbooks M1 processor.  The added support will allow Mac users to earn BAT tokens.

2287  Other / Off-topic / Re: HAPPY NEW YEARS ! on: January 01, 2021, 07:27:45 AM
Happy New years fellow Bitcoiners!

It's 2021. What will you be expecting to see this new year?

A six figure Bitcoin price would really make many people look so smart since there are some who predicted 100,000 per bitcoin by the End of 2021.
I think it was John McAfee said in 2021 bitcoin price will be $1m just for example.  If he is  half right then I will be content.
2288  Economy / Economics / Re: NFL Player Salary Paid in Bitcoin on: December 31, 2020, 08:41:26 AM
So it looks like this NFL player will not be in fact paid his salary in Bitcoin but instead he will use a crypto startup called Strike to convert his salary to Bitcoin.
I am not familair with this app and I wonder if it would make more sense for him to buy his Bitcoins with Binance or another Exchange.  This is still big for Bitcoin to have him supporting it.

2289  Other / Off-topic / Re: BE GRATEFUL FOR LIFE. on: December 31, 2020, 08:05:15 AM
Hello people please don't let anyone pressure you, don't let anyone make you feel you didn't achieve enough this year. Today is the last day of the year 2020, so many are showing off cars, houses, wedding rings, endorsements and all that. Don't stay pressed thinking you were just a pain in the ass. rather thank God for keeping you alive up till now. Being alive  is the apex miracle and blessing this year. Many people died. Thank God and plan well trusting God will come through for you.

Bless Up.

I am grateful for everyday I wake up and am able to live a normal life and be productive without being in any pain.   Especially what is going on right now with Covid every day is a great day that you are healthy and safe.

People will always want to show off their cars, houses and wedding rings to make them feel good about themselfs.  We just have to accept that is how this world is and this is how people act.
2290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is cold storage better than coinbase? on: December 31, 2020, 06:46:20 AM
It seems most bitcoiners prefer cold hardware wallets over online platforms but why is that? Considering platforms like coinbase are FDIC insured and have the best security in the business, it seems much riskier to try to secure my bitcoins on my own. I feel my house burning down or some other accident destroying my wallet is much more likely than losing it on Coinbase. And if there is a breach in coinbase, I get it back... so what am I missing?? While I’m not new to owning bitcoin, I am new to learning about it. So I apologize if this is an annoying newb question.

To make it easy and simple I like to tell people it is more safer to have your coins in my possession in my lock box then it is to keep them on a exchange.  This way I know my keys are in my possession and not someone else.

Even if I could someway lose my hard wallet in my lock box there is a better chance of a platform like Coinbase going down for long periods of time as happened many times in the past.

The platforms are insured like you say but it will still be a horrible process I think to go through a hassle to recover coins that were lost or hacked.  It is okay to store some coins in a exchange in my opinion but only some and not all of them.

2291  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: December 31, 2020, 06:32:33 AM
It is hard for me to admit such a thing and it is sad to say but I am 1 of the many people who has lost my job as a result of the pandemic.

My country provides money to help the citizens get by without having to lose everything we have and had to work so hard for.  Without this help I would be in trouble.

I feel real bad hearing about some people like Americans who the government doesnt want to pay you enough money to survive.
2292  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are people buying BTC @ $27000+ idiots? on: December 31, 2020, 06:20:54 AM
People buying Bitcoin @ $27,000 are the exact opposite of idiots they are smart.  Only a idiot would think it is not a good time to buy.

Whenever something is big in popularity and if money is involved everyone will take notice.  This recent Bull run has definitely gained some more new attention to Bitcoin.

There are some people who I thought would never ask about Bitcoin but now want to get to know what it is about. If you can make money people are interest.
2293  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think of India on: December 31, 2020, 06:15:08 AM
India is a country that I would like to visit 1 of these days.
Taj Mahal in Agra and the capital city of Delhi would be my first 2 choices.
Also a big Fan of Indian cuisines so that would be something I would partake in if I was to make the journey to India.
2294  Other / Archival / Re: Why you should not use Paypal for Bitcoin on: December 30, 2020, 08:04:56 AM
NOT YOUR KEYS.......... NOT YOUR BITCOIN!!!   MEANING IF YOU DONT HOLD THE KEY TO YOUR COINS THEN YOU REALLY DONT OWN THEM. PAYPAL HAS CUSTODY OF YOUR BITCOIN WHEN YOU BUY IT. WHICH IS NOT GOOD, CAUSE IF SOMETHING HAPPENS AND BITCOIN GOES MISSING. GUESS WHAT??? YOUR SCREWED. YOU WANNA BE ABLE TO TAKE YOUR BITCOIN INTO YOUR CUSTODY ON A HARDWARE WALLET NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET. A USB WALLET THAT YOU OWN AND HOLD ONLY YOU!

This is the big thing that is a concern to me when it comes to digital currencies and specifically Bitcoin.

If I am not in control of my keys then I dont feel safe and dont trust that something horrible could happen to my crypto.

It is a great thing for our community and Bitcoin to have such a major company like Paypal get on board.  I would never ever consider to use Paypal as a means of buying any crypto.
2295  Other / Off-topic / Re: Learn to TRUST on: December 30, 2020, 07:54:01 AM
Most times we're the problem, we always believe someone has an ulterior motive, we don't think people genuinely care us, and this makes us suspect any little thing they do. For real it's very much okay to be cautious, but being too cautious will only add  stress to our lives

Trust a little with your eyes open.

Its hard for me to trust someone new if I dont know them or never had any kind of communications with them in the past.

I just dont see why someone would want to take a interest in my and genuinely care.  Maybe its my paranoia but i always seem to think theres a ulterior motive when someone wants to get close to me.

Im like you and am very caution and maybe at times just too cautious when it comes to trust.  But I have always been like this as far as I can remember and will probably always have this issue.
2296  Economy / Economics / Re: NFL Player Salary Paid in Bitcoin on: December 30, 2020, 07:21:15 AM
I think this is really something amazing if a famous person like Russell Okung will not only tweet about Bitcoin but will choose to take such a large salary in it as payment too.

This is a historical announcement and it will be even a bigger deal when a player from Euro leaguess begin to request Bitcoin as their payments.

What is going to be a real good reaction from his teammates if the Bitcoin price continues to be a Bull run and his salary is worth more then when he was paid it.  Maybe they will choose to take their salaries in Bitcoin also.
2297  Other / Off-topic / Re: Big Vern and Cryptsy is there a bounty? on: December 30, 2020, 07:12:24 AM
Well thats a name I name I have not heard in a while Mr. Big Vern from the Cryptsy exchange.  For a reason I thought this man was already in jail for his crimes.

If you dont know about Big Vern here is last time he was in the news-  https://news.bitcoin.com/cryptsy-big-vern-speaks-press/
2298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Had you sold your Bitcoins ? on: December 30, 2020, 07:05:15 AM
I already sold out all my Bitcoins, and other crypto.

I don't want to risk. i would buy Bitcoin again when it visits $6000 again, maybe next year.

What about you?

I have sold some of my crypto but only when I need to make bill payments or if I want to buy something and they will accept Bitcoin as payment.

It is so risky that I am nervous if I see a big price drop and I make regrets for not selling and buying into the dip afterwards.

Even at times when I feel we are in a Bull run and there is going to be a correction at some points I still try not to sell any even if I can make a easy profit.
2299  Other / Off-topic / Re: Little known feature of Brave Browser. on: December 30, 2020, 06:57:16 AM
Brave browser has always been my 1st choice with when it comes to browsers and security online.  This was before I started to earn Brave rewards.

This new trick you have showed us will go towards good use in the future when i want to listen to youtube but also want to use my phone.

Maybe one day the other browsers will make it possible to do what Brave has done for youtube videos.
