Mountain dew is a most disgusting drink but now a spicy drink does not sound appealing at all to me.
1782  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think of Windows 11? on: August 27, 2021, 06:00:22 AM
I like the new edition of Windows 11 because it has the Mac feel to it and I like how there is integrated apps for android and Xbox.
1783  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bagram, airfield - Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on: August 23, 2021, 06:19:32 AM
I feel the United States withdrawal from Afghanistan is tragic. My heart goes out to all of the Afghan people who aligned themselves with the United States military during the occupation and are now in harms way. My only hope is that the US government learns from this failed enterprise and ceases invading countries that are not commuted to democratic values. The United States governments expansion of its military industrial complex over the needs of it’s average citizens is abhorrent.
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WALMART is hiring a cryptocurrency product lead ! on: August 23, 2021, 06:12:13 AM
I think Walmart’s decision to hire a blockchain product lead is a smart strategic business move. The more large corporations like Walmart embrace the use of blockchain technology in different areas of their supply chain the greater chance they will have in staying relevant in the new digital economy. I believe this new hire move will have a positive effect on Walmart’s stock because it shows investors that they have a commitment towards innovation and are interested in future proofing their business.
1785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 23, 2021, 06:00:12 AM
I absolutely thought bitcoin will reach 50k by this week.
Bitcoin is currently on an upward trajectory and I think we’re going to see BTC reach new all time heights in the coming months.
The reality is bitcoin is an amazing technology and we are seeing more acceptance and adoption of the technology by large corporations and governments that will further drive the price up.
1786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Man Loses $900,000 Worth Of BTC After Accidentally Deleting Keys on: August 23, 2021, 05:54:30 AM
I empathize with the South African man who lost the keys to his bitcoin wallet.
I feel it must be hard to be an early adopter of a new technology and put his work in as a miner but was not able to reap the financial rewards of his efforts.
However, I think he has a good attitude and I appreciate that he is not looking back with regret but instead looking forward with optimism.
Sometimes life puts challenging obstacles in our way that way can not control, how we deal with these challenges speaks volumes for our character.
1787  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to deal with Inflammation on: August 23, 2021, 05:48:08 AM
Inflammation can have many negative affects on the body.

An anti-inflammatory diet consisting of green leafy vegetables, salmon, fruit and other foods can have many positive affects for your overall health, productivity and mood.

If I have an inflammation that is causing me so much discomfort that it is negatively affecting my work, I will occasionally take ibuprofen tablets.

However, I believe it is best to avoid anti-inflammatory drugs if possible because they can have negative affects on the liver.
1788  Other / Off-topic / Re: No one knows when our time will be up on: August 20, 2021, 07:42:42 AM
I am so sorry for your loss. It’s incredibly difficult to understand why someone you care about can be taken from you.

When I lost a close friend of mine I tried to live on for that person.

The truth is that people we care about would want us to continue to live and move on in their memory as opposed to staying in grief and not moving past it.
1789  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who's been buying recently? on: August 20, 2021, 07:20:41 AM
I have been buying BTC recently because I see the potential of a crypto currency as a great store of value to hedge against the devaluation of the dollar.
During the corona pandemic the US government borrowed from China and spent large amounts of dollars to keep the American economy afloat.  This is just a simple example.
This kind of borrowing will inevitably cause inflation and I want a good portion of my liquid assets to be protected.
1790  Other / Off-topic / Re: My child refuses to where his seatbelt on: August 20, 2021, 07:11:12 AM
When young people won’t do what’s in their best interest such as wearing a safety belt, I usually start with explaining the why.
Many times children just don’t understand why what you’re asking of them is so important.
However, if they still continue to not wear their seatbelt I will try to create a fun habit by giving rewards such as candy, once they have a positive association with the task I am asking of them it’s much easier to get compliance later on.
1791  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do some workout on: August 20, 2021, 06:39:29 AM
A good workout to me is when I have worked up a sweat which usually takes about 20 minutes and I am left with a calm mind.

For me, it doesn’t matter the type of exercise; sometimes it’s aerobic and other times it’s free weights at the gym.

However, at the end of the workout I want to feel like I pushed myself just enough to feel a sense of accomplishment.
1792  Other / Off-topic / Re: Please check out my sweeeeeet bitcoin rap on: August 20, 2021, 06:34:19 AM
I actually enjoyed ‘Buy Bitcoin’ by Mike Yeah. The song is great lyrically and I really connected with the overall message.
The rhymes were good and I think Mike’s voice was nice. On the other hand, I think the beat and sound effects sounded a bit dated.
I think the producers could improve the song with a bit more modern beat, bass line and effects.
1793  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Not OC] Home - A Poem on: August 19, 2021, 10:48:36 AM
Brought a tears to my eye from reading this.  So tragic what is happening to these people in Afghanistan right now.

1795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you bullish or bearish this year? on: August 19, 2021, 10:37:10 AM
At first I was Bullish but am now turning bearish this year. The market had such a good run with the Trump administration.
Also, the corona virus lockdowns attracted many new retail traders to jump into the market and many stocks are significantly overvalued.
I suspect the market will have a correction in the coming year.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give your bitcoins to scammers on: August 19, 2021, 10:30:34 AM
I have been contacted by hackers claiming I need to reset my password for coinbase and paypal.
The emails that have official logos and headers and are very well crafted but I have been scammed before and I am very cautious when an email claims I need to reset a password.
Not everyone does it but always double check the authenticity of the email sender and confirm it's legitimate.
1797  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you are learning a new language, post your tips on how you are learning it? on: August 19, 2021, 10:24:03 AM
When learning a new language I recommend full immersion.
It's best to speak the new language around native speakers and force yourself to communicate with them even if your vocabulary is limited.
I also think daily practice is absolutely essential. Duolingo or Babbel are great apps to practice on-the-go.
1798  Other / Off-topic / Re: God and sports on: August 19, 2021, 10:18:08 AM
I think God is always present for all people including athletes.

If people want to pray it is fine but no player should feel obligated to participate in prayer.

God works in mysterious ways but I don't think prayer will directly affect the game's outcome.

1800  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your view on cannabis? on: August 16, 2021, 06:51:00 AM
It is not for me because ever since I was a child I had breathing issues and my doctor says that smoking anything will lead to Respiratory problems.

It was tempting during this global pandemic to try something like smoking and seeing others made it more tempting but its bad for me so I do not use cannabis.
