1441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: August 12, 2022, 06:12:10 AM
I would definitely feel a bit let down if BTC dips to $1000. So many experts predicted big things for Bitcoin so it would definitely be a bit of a surprise. The reality is I would never sell my coins so if it did hit 1k I would just hope it’s a correction and hold on.

I’m a huge believer in the power of the blockchain and I don’t see BTC ever staying at 1k for long. I suppose if it did dip below 1k, I would consider picking up more coins.
1442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Day Trading be profitable in Crypto ? on: August 12, 2022, 05:58:04 AM
I've been in crypto for years and to tell you the truth I have never met a successful “crypto day trader”. I have met some people that have made money in playing swings but day trading is not a reliable or consistent way to make money from investing in my opinion.

I bet on winners like BTC and I hold long, that’s a proven and effective way to make money from investing in crypto.
1443  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why did you choose to support the sports team you are supporting? on: August 12, 2022, 05:49:59 AM
My Grandfather loved playing golf most of his life. He was a huge golf fan and I remember watching matches on TV with him at his house a lot. We saw a lot of great tournaments together especially in the early 2000s.

Back before the injuries, Tiger Woods was the most dominant player in the world. I’m still a huge fan of golf and Woods today because of my grandfather.
1444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: August 11, 2022, 08:58:14 AM
I have not sold any of my crypto during the bear market. My strategy for my cryptocurrency investments has always remained consistent; I always intended to hold long and not be swayed if any crashes happened.

The reality is if I had extra fiat lying around I would actually consider picking up more coins cheap.

Personally, I have seen the global markets crash several times before in my lifetime. I am very confident that the economy will be back on track eventually. I certainly have no desire to sell any of my coins now.

1445  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the meaning of a family in your life? on: August 11, 2022, 08:51:25 AM
I think family is very important and maintaining those relationships really mean a lot to me. The older I get the more I lose regular contact with them but the love I have for my parents and siblings will never waver.
It’s important to at least check in with everybody just to make sure they’re ok and healthy but I don’t have those kind of relationships where any of us talk regularly.
I still don’t have my own family or kids but I think family is important because unlike friends or lovers you share blood with your immediate family.

1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's to make of the NFT craze in retrospect? on: August 11, 2022, 08:47:50 AM
I think the NFT craze was an interesting phenomenon to witness from the sidelines. In retrospect, I think a lot of people made a ton of money at the forefront.

I suspect the massive amount of people stuck at home during the pandemic with too much time on their hands contributed to the overvaluation of tokens and created unnecessary hype in this space.

At the moment, I’m just keeping my eye out on some sites but not really too interested in getting into NFTs right now.

On the other hand, people investing in these kinds of digital assets is far from over and I don’t see it going away any time soon. The NFT market has taken a huge hit just like crypto but will probably pick up again hopefully this year or latest in 2023.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will people finally abandon Tron? on: August 11, 2022, 08:18:14 AM
I at one time really figured there was so much potential in this Project and they did a very good job with the marketing and advertising of how popular they wanted to look.

What stands out for me is the 4.5 million dollar dinner that Founder Justin Sun won with Warren Buffet of Berkshire Hathaway.  This is the most important thing I remember about Tron.

1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana is being attacked right now. The attack is on going. Beware! on: August 04, 2022, 11:14:22 AM
Like many of us into Crypto I had some high expectations on this coin especially seeing how well perceived it was among famous people who were vouching for it.
It was a Coin they was calling 'ethereum killer' but it looks like we all know who came out the winner this time.

At all time if my computer is on and running I have McAfee and Norton both running for protection.

Many times I can be accidentally clicking links that may be harmful for my computer so its safer for me to use these programs at all times.
1455  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favorite subject in school? on: August 04, 2022, 10:20:24 AM
My favorite subject in school was World History.  I really liked World History because I liked to explore and learn about the past especially Asian History.

I was most fascinated with the Geo-political landscapes, reading autobiographies, and visiting museums with family and friends.

1457  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you ever thought of making yourself ugly to avoid attracting attention? on: July 27, 2022, 06:20:18 AM
I’ve never thought about making myself less attractive to avoid attention but I understand the appeal. There are many times when I would prefer people not recognize me or really even acknowledge me.

For example when I walk the dog outside my apartment complex every morning, I usually wear a baseball cap and some sweatpants. This is partially because I’m lazy but I certainly don’t want to be noticed by anyone either. I suppose there a certain times where it’s more comfortable to be anonymous.
1458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for who are witnessing this market for the first time. on: July 22, 2022, 07:30:02 AM
For many people experiencing their first bear market, I would recommend talking to people who have been through these crashes before. Many of us who are long-term holders of crypto currency and other investments have seen many crashes happen throughout our lifetimes.

When you have witnessed crashes before and not caved into the panic selling, you build muscles around learning to hold long. Personally, I have witnessed many new traders panic sell during crashes and seen them regret it later.

When you’ve seen this happen a few times you just gain confidence in your decisions and build the ability to stick through tough times because believe me the economy always does pick up again eventually, it just takes time.

1460  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 100k or more in 2022? on: July 22, 2022, 05:44:03 AM
I see it as highly unlikely that Bitcoin will hit 100k in 2022. On the other hand, I would be so happy if it does. There are so many factors contributing to its volatility. Personally, I suspect we have to give it a longer time horizon.
The war in Ukraine has no immediate end in sight and the global economy is still in tatters due to all the unnecessary over spending during the pandemic. At bottom, I am confident that BTC will reach 100,000 at some point but we have to be patient.
