2221  Other / Off-topic / Re: Whatsapp and privacy on: January 22, 2021, 07:08:49 AM
I havent used the Whatsapp app in a long time probably since the time I deleted all Facebook associations from my computers and phone.  Just cant trust what they consider "privacy".

Been using the Signal app for secure messaging and the UI is very nice and no problems so far.  You can make free calls and video calls so no reason to use Whatspp at this point.
2222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: January 21, 2021, 07:35:36 AM
There seems to be a correlation between Cardano tweets and the price having doubled to new all time high since start of 2021.

Data shows the more mentions on twitter effect price- https://cointelegraph.com/news/all-time-high-social-activity-accompanies-100-rally-in-cardano-price

2223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best way to sell in 2021 — to buy more on the bear on: January 21, 2021, 07:27:40 AM
Hello there,

I'm considering cashing some BTC to fiat to buy more BTC after the bull (I'm targeting to buy again at USD 15~16k).
What it is the best way in your opinion to cash Bitcoins in 2021?

Thank you!

This sounds like the mind frame of all traders who want to sell at a high price and then buy back in a Bear market.
Your strategy sounds like a good one but be cautious when trading crypto since its very volitile and not like regular investments.
You should read other peoples stories about trading crypto and decide if its what you want to get into.

2225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: January 21, 2021, 07:08:45 AM
Popular adult entertainment site is now accepting XRP even as Ripple is dealing with sec court battles.

This comment reminds me of the time I saw Wolf of Wallstreet Jordan Belfort in a video few years ago saying bitcoin would go bust so get your money and get out.
Lets hope that people who were watching this back then didnt listen to him.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsaU4-AUW2Y
2227  Other / Off-topic / Re: Please reply Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 21, 2021, 06:54:56 AM
Hello Mr. Nakamoto,

I come before you humbly to ask if you could reply to this thread.

This would give the entire community hope that you are still out there, and watching your creation become what you’ve always wanted it to be.

I would be honored if you replied to this post, but seeing as you last logged in Dec. 2010, it’s a long shot.

Thank you for everything you’ve done. Bitcoin has changed my life in ways I can’t even put into words.

Sincerely,

A Bitcoin Believer

@satoshi

Well I dont want to be the one to give you the bad news but in my opinion if Mr. Nakamoto as still alive with us he would make his face known by now.

He would be so famous and a powerful man.  Its sadly safe to say he will never reply to anyone especially in your thread.
2228  Economy / Speculation / Re: to sell or buy BTC? on: January 19, 2021, 09:04:38 AM
what should we do if we have some bitcoin at this time, regarding the increase in bitcoin prices that we see today, of course the value is very high compared to the increase in the past years, so do we have to sell some bitcoins at the current price, or even we add value to the amount of BTC that we have today by buying it at the current price for us to store for quite a long time ,?
What are the suggestions & opinions of all of your friends who are here?

If you are like me and have some fiat stored away then I am waiting for another dip to happen before I make any more bitcoin buys.
So far I have been waiting for this dip since we broke past 30k but it still hasnt happened yet and I dont know if it ever will again.
Selling my coins right now is not a option for me since I think there is going to be another major bull surge in the next month.  Maybe even sooner then that.
2229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Chainlink (LINK) a good investment? on: January 19, 2021, 08:53:33 AM
Chainlink made another new all-time high, and the price hit $23.5 per chainlink. who invested in this coin when this thread open they are already gaining profit. hope chainlink will cross $30 asap, CT people are very bullish on chainlink. also, a lot of new investors coming and investing at chainlik. regularly chainlink coin holder address increasing, its a good sign or next pump

Interesting enough is the top 3 LINK addresses which makes up 1% of all LINK possesses 81.737% of the total supply of the tokens.
This can make for easy market manipulation but I hope we will see that from this project.

Some one that I respect alot and is no longer with us once told me you can never have too much knowledge.
He was the smartest man I ever knew and still to this day I think about him alot.
I will always remember this quote from this man and this thread made me remember him for a minute.
2231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My email and phone have been hacked, is my bitcoin safe? on: January 19, 2021, 08:19:38 AM
This happened to me once on other forum and there is only 1 smart thing for you to do and that is to not use the email ever gain and to change your phone number immediately.

It is very easy for hackers to access your files and personal data by having access to your email address and you phone.  They might be listening at any times.

The last thing you want is for this person to be going around your personal information.  Take my advice its the best  thing to do for you.
2232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this scam go on? on: January 19, 2021, 08:08:35 AM
In just 11 years of cryptocurrencies existence we've seen a series of shitcoins coming up, making a choice on which coin to hold aside $BTC & $ETH $BET $DOT $ADA & LINK is becoming difficult, how best can I get to know more viable  projects like the ones I already have? When will the proliferation of shitcoins in crypto space stop? Who will check mate the proliferation of shitcoins?

For some people they like the idea or project of the alt coin so this is why they choose to invest. And some think they can see big gains if they hodl on to them.
There is going to always be the alt coins/shit coins as you say but it is up to you to decide if you are going to invest your Bitcoin into them.
Most of these alt coins are not earning the investors as much as if they just kept their money in Bitcoin.
2233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: January 19, 2021, 08:01:26 AM
If youre holding onto BNB token you are being rewarded just 1 day before its scheduled token burn

2234  Other / Off-topic / Re: People Here Not educated and no knowledge on: January 19, 2021, 07:55:00 AM
Some thing tells me that you will find more people here that are educated and have knowledge because of the difficulty and complexity of bitcoin.
Its not a easy concept for everyone to get a hold on and sometimes you need a technology or finance backgrounds to really understand.
Also if you are not happy here then I wish you your best wherever you choose to find happiness.

2235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your price expectations for 2021 on: January 17, 2021, 12:12:58 PM
This is a question that I ponder daily since I am curious how much my holdings will be worth if I choose to keep holding and not sell even for nice profits.
This thought crosses my mind all the time more then once a day.
We read of price predictions from 50k all the way up to 100k but theses are just predictions that anyone can make.
This would be a amazing thing to occur but for me I think its going to take more then a year to reach this price point.
I hope I am very wrong but 1 thing for certain is that 2021 is going to be a big year for Crypto.
2236  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is skipping meal a bad habit? on: January 17, 2021, 11:45:22 AM
I’m a bit confused about these. My doctor will always say don’t skip a meal and he will always remind me “An apple a day keeps you from the doctor” so if skipping meal is a bad habit, why do experts and professional nutritionist  say intermittent fasting is healthy?

I always was told how breakfast is the most important meal of the day so I never miss it.  Usually I will make myself a bowl of oatmeal with some sugar and canned fruit as a topping if I am not in a rush.
But if Im ordering out I will have a Gaeran Jim - its a Korean steamed egg and its delicious.
2237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: January 17, 2021, 11:32:47 AM
Even so as we are watching Bitcoin currently in the red, Cardano is up 7.5% in last 24 hours and up 11% in the last week.

There were signals of a breakout and now that all time high has been reached - https://cryptobriefing.com/cardano-enters-new-bullish-cycle-towards-all-time-highs/

2239  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 16, 2021, 10:12:39 AM
Youre not kidding when you say how difficult this now 2nd Lockdown for Covid 19 is. And to think we might have a 3rd Lockdown if things dont get better.
But this is something we were all warned from our governments that we should expect it to be like this and to not be surprised when were forced to remain in our homes.
Many businesses that I would go to when we were in Stage 1 are now closed making it more difficult to find items needed during our 2nd Lockdown.
2240  Other / Off-topic / Re: 5,400,000 people bitten by snakes every year on: January 16, 2021, 08:43:27 AM
1,00,000 people are killed by snake bites each year worldwide.

A mother and her three-year-old daughter have been killed in India after the woman was bitten by a snake. Not realising she had been attacked, the woman began breastfeeding her child. Both died before they could reach a hospital. The news comes the same day as the World Health Organization declared snake bites a "global health priority". Between 81,000 and 138,000 people are killed by snake bites each year, with around half of all deaths in India.

http://www.bbc.com/news

Interesting stat and I would go on to consider myself a lucky person since this has never happened to me. And Im certainly ok with this fact.

Even take it one more step further and say I dont think I know any person who in real life has ever had snake bite.  Guess Im just lucky.
