Anyone can work miner on windows 7 X64?

How do we solo mine ? Do we setup a sia.conf with the usual details and what kind of .bat settings do we use ?

You can write example?
ya do we need a conf file for wallet, then point miner to that ... I guess? lost lol Should have kept it as CPU only.

So when asics are in, will it be sha or scrypt?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I cant wait for someone to release Fee free siacoin.

The lack of organization during this launch has been horrible, not to mention the amount of problems/bugs involved.

Agree, testnet wallet and mining seemed flawless, I just don't understand the change up, very discouraged now.

How?

Not telling people about the GPU focus was a little weird, but a part from that the only sw or later issue I had was in Wolfy's cl file. Barring that I've been up and synced and mining successfully using nothing more than my mouse.

How much easier could it have been made?

GPU mining has been mentioned several times already. It was not a secret. I guess no everyone reads everything.

Sorry to miners who don't like the launch so far. Sia is no bitcoin. They could wait another 2 months to make better smoother launch. They can also wait 4 years to make even better launch.

This is new raw disruptive currency that needs to be out in wild right now and get it stable fast possible. To make it the worldwide storage it wants to be. Nobody care to make you happy miner.

Sia try to be working storage business. We need help community in beginning. We all needed to get this going.

The first day of testnet was pretty bad, you probably just weren't there. Things cleaned up a lot after the first week.

I'm really glad to hear that, it's refreshing to know that it's working for someone.

Other than the GPU problems, there don't seem to be any complaints **yet**.

I just don't see the logic of going to GPU then ultimately Asics? We do not need another high energy consuming coin in the world. There is tons of GPU and asic shit coins out there. Why not have a solid CPU based platform coin. Then everyone can participate simply and efficiently.

Guess ill go pack up my dell servers I had all ready to go.  Cry

I am not going to mine  more GPU coins, especially in the F**k'ing heat of summer not a very good idea to say the least

I get this error when trying to host data and I have absolutely no idea what to do , can anyone help?

Error calling /host/announce : host address not reachable; ensure you have forwarded port 9982

And : can someone also do a detailed guide on how to mine with this miner

I never mined anything other then scrypt but would love to be able to mine some coins right now.

Here's what I get. readme does not show any argument information. I'll keep tinkering. The .cl file is in the same directory.

Code:
C:\SIA\Sia-GPU-Miner-1.0>sia-gpu-miner
Device max compute units:       13
failed to set fourth kernel arg:
