Hello all,

I'm in need of assistance!

I don't seem to find how to import old wallet.dat files into the new wallet.
Any clue how to do this?

I'm figuring so far that this could be done with the wallet's console with perhaps dumpwallet or importwallet commad or similar.
I've been able to make sure that the pathname specified is correct, otherwise I get the error "Cannot open wallet dump file (code -8)".
When the path is correct, the console seems to think for a split second and prompts nothing in return and nothing happens in the wallet app.

My new wallet has yet to be synced, so this might still be the problem?

The wallet.dat might be password protected. Might be. Would the console prompt any kind of error message in this case?

Anybody??
let your wallet synced then close ur wallet go to  appdata, roaming find bitcoinplus click on that you ll see wallet.dat replace it with your old wallet that and run Qt again see what happens.
l m not computer expert but this is how you replace ur wallet dat.
good luck

Any idea how to do this on OSX as appdata->roaming to me seems like a Windows location?

What happened with Bitcoin 5 years ago is happening with Bitcoin Plus now. It's a great coin and deserves every bit of what's happening.

Looks like pump to me but I am no expert.Anyone who buys at this price has only themselves to blame if the price drops back to where it started.XBC has been on poloniex for years now trading at less than .001btc and there is NO legitimate reason for it to suddenly jump almost 2000% in two days.

I think you sold your coins to early ??

Why is the price of BitcoinPlus rising? pump?

Just a simple pump and dump on Poloniex, nothing to worriy about it.
Simple chart, but looks like the price is going down again right now. Another manipulation by the whales.

XBC is rising properly as it should because it is one of the greatest coins in existence today. It's just that its greatness wasn't recognized until now. As simple as that.  Smiley

Bitcoin is facing the wall with its saturated mempool and high transaction fees. There is even the threat of a hardfork happening this year. There is division in the community about the solutions to be implemented, whether it is Segwit, Lightning network, Bitcoin Unlimited or simply doing nothing.

While many are pondering about which form will take the new Bitcoin, the solution already exists and is there. The new, better Bitcoin is called Bitcoin Plus. Many are now realizing this including me, that's why moving from BTC into XBC is a logical step, at least for me.

Yeah, passing over all the other, better capitalized, supported and established alts for BitcoinPlus is exactly what everybody is doing to protect their wealth...

This coin is scrypt ? any pool to work exist ? .
Actually you will not earn anything with mining because reward is 0.  Grin
No not scrypt, it is X13

Quote
POW Algorithm :X13. Block reward is currently Zero - Note Proof of Work is used only to secure the network where necessary.

POS Stake Reward :20% Annually. (Calculated per 365 days)

ok thanks, but I do not understand why despite being no longer 'minabile had this pump and block explorer there are new blocks. Who undermines them? .

Have you tried moving the wallet.dat created by the new client to a new name lets say wallet.dat.NEW, and then copy the old one to replace it and then start the client.

I feel that XBC could benefit from an up to date summary of how to cpu mine as a solo miner. I have looked through the thread pretty extensively in the past and couldn't find anything on this that outlined the process. I know mining can be somewhat complicated to set up and that there is no PoW reward, but I think once you are staking any significant amount of XBC, especially now, if there was a step by step walkthrough of this specific to XBC it would probably make sense for a lot of people and could help keep the network running optimally. All guides I can find for XBC's PoW algo are from ancient history as far as crypto is concerned. Does anyone in the thread currently solo mine?

XBC has just surpassed Dash in volume on Poloniex and is now in 2nd position.

XBC is the 4th most exchanged of all cryptocurrencies in the last 24 hours on Coinmarketcap.

What is remarkable is that XBC traded volume is now 3-4 times its market cap.  It is a severe mismatch that is often corrected by a huge increase in price. So, if volume stays at such levels, the price could significantly increase to new heights.

What will happen?  I don't know.  But that is why it is so interesting and funny to watch and follow.  No need to go to cinema tonight.   Smiley

You are on the old chain and those coins are still on the old chain. That old team abandoned XBC and the chain was abandoned by the XBC community for the current one. Many months notice was given here,on twitter, website and poloniex so you failed to take the opportunity to swap.

We cannot help you further here. You are welcome to contact the website, the developer who is "mammix2" or poloniex.

I also have 700 coins on the old chain that I lost on mintpal and never got them back.I also donated over 1700 coins to XBC project and sold everything else when it was worth nothing in order to raise funds along with others to help save the project when nobody else did including large bagholders so stop complaining and just move one.I do not hold XBC myself

In mintpal I also lost some BTC. But that is blatantly lost (scam)
But when swap coin dev to pay attention to those who have bought it? They have no faults. If it is not fair to go to the Internet often and lose all coin then it is not fair.
Please swap to new address
