I don't think "soon" but I do think after 15 years or so it is a definite possibility. "soon" i guess is a relative term.
in a long time also, I suppose, bitcoin will not replace the dollar, because it can not own bitcoin but he always side by side with complementary term dollar I have one doubt. The dollar becomes universal currency, and in all country, this currency will be acceptable. And the Bitcoin price is also we will see the value of Dollar. If the Dollar not there then how can we give value to Bitcoin? Until and unless if the Bitcoin become physical currency till there Dollar doesn't have any problem.

Maybe there is chance it will happen in the first place but anytime soon, no it will not be even close to soon. It would take many years to achieve this and maybe it will even never happen.

It will not happen soon but there is of course a chance that it will be possible because you also see that Bitcoin is getting more used and more acceptable so that is nice
I think that's not a criteria on why bitcoin would replace dollar. Governments don't want something that is uncontrollable. It's either they kill it or acquire it. Same as in bitcoin, It will only replace dollar if it is under the control of the government, probably a centralized one. Honestly, we need to be realistic so we will know the real answer. Bitcoin in any way cannot replace Dollar because that currency is too powerful and I even doubt if we can replace a weak currency. The thing is, we do not belong to their level since we are decentralized while every countries currency has their own government to protect and to improve theirs. I agree with you, the Government of each country will defend its national currency. Bitcoin is good for people, but not for praviteltstva. That is why he will never be able to replace the dollar well not for a fact, some of the countries already don't have their own currencies that is only theirs, like in european union a lot of countries use the same currency euro. I think though bitcoin is not going to be a national currency of countries for quite a long time still it is going to be possible in a few decades. Also in order to replace dollar bitcoin first needs to become way stronger and worth more than right now.

I agree with your second option that it might won't never happen, because people believe in USD, and the bonding is more strong. BTC is very good, but replacing USD seems quite tough and nearly impossible.

Bitcoin can't do anything without their support in that regard. But I honestly don't even want Bitcoin to replace whatever fiat currency. I like how Bitcoin as alternative solution is doing nearly everything perfectly fine already. Nearly perfect because it's no secret that the scaling aspect is what keeps certain people (me included) looking with great joy at the current increase, but at the same time we know something needs to be done to increase the block size.

For bitcoin replacing USD is not a tough task because the power of bitcoin is much higher than USD but it is actually the initial stage of bitcoin that is why not in more places where USD is. The other point is that USD is supported by only one nation while bitcoin is supported by the people from all over the world who know it.

But the real problem is not the current performance of the USD compared to other fiat currencies, the problem is in the entire financial system behind all fiat money that make the USD and all currencies simply paper without intrinsic value that can eventually crash and lead us to lose our assets, in that case I have no doubt that bitcoin could be a better option to store our value though I don't think it can displace the USD soon.

Yesterday Bitcoin has become more expensive than an ounce of gold .. Can money eliminated the gold, or gold eliminated money? No! This same with Bitcoin. BTC will be exist along with FIAT as on market exist bars, restaurants, fast foods, catering... For each will be always piece of a cake!

Bitcpin may become a nationwide or even a worldwide currency but it really doesn't have to replace the dollar or any other currency at all. The features of both are different from each other and i think we don't really have to choose one to replace the other because these two can work alongside for better benefits

For me no. Because the bitcoin is a digital money so means need a cellphone to access and need an internet to open and transact but basically the world is have a poor people who doesn't have an cellphone, wifi or internet. So it means that if they are going to buy stuffs they need a money a paper money to do that so I think bitcoin can't replace the fiat money because it is not convenient with everyone only people have phone and internet can have that because of the term digital so for over all. for me nope.

But it will need a lot of the research about that. and it seems like still long to go.

I don't think bitcoin will replace dollar soon because more countries were using dollar currency, and as I've heard the feedbacks from people that it's good and the value is stable with minimal fluctuations. In bitcoin there's no significant reasons that it will replace fiat dollar due to its price value is always changing and in economy of a country it really needs to be stable, eventhough btc price reached that higher value today, it doesn't mean it will replace dollar currency just for faster price increase.
