They wait for the end to celebrate and then Nürnberg shot a goal .

Football can be a joy for one team also  Wink
This season is over now and i really enjoyed the last match. Numberg had more possession of the ball, almost 65% in the entire game but still they were only able to score a single goal.

yeah, it could a sad thing, they needed just a little bit more to get into the second league, but Nurnberg had the one blast and stayed there, good for them, pitty for Ingolstadt, but this is what makes football that worth to watch

yeah, it could a sad thing, they needed just a little bit more to get into the second league,
It reminds me of the Relegation game between Hamburg (HSV) and Karlsruhe (KSC) in 2015.
Karlsruhe led 1-0 and would have made it into the first Bundesliga at that point.
In Minute 90 Hamburg got a free kick and scored a goal to 1:1. So they went into extra time.
Hamburg made a goal in Minute 115 and Karlsruhe got a penalty kick in Minute 120 which they have missed.
So at the end, Hamburg remained in the 1st Bundesliga

Sometimes you have luck and sometimes you have no luck in the Relegations.
Nürnberg has got so often in the last 20 years no luck in the relegation games and they was going down to the second league.
They hold the record for the Team that are most ascended and descended between the first league and the second league.

yes ! Marcelo Díaz in the relegation game ! what did Marcelo Díaz say to van der vaart?   tomorrow my friend
it was really crazy minutes back then in karlsruhe . the video was recorded by a hsv fan.
Nicolai Müller scored the decisive goal in the 115 minutes and hamburg remained in the Bundesliga at that time

So that it is not always about the players, here something about the referees. Every 6 months the magazine kicker asks the players who is the best referee. So far it was six times Manuel Gräfe. Now it is Deniz Aytekin.

It is so unfortunate to see them going up and down in the divisions.
Nurnberg is a historical team and I wonder what it goes wrong and they do not have the power and the good performance to stay on the first division for many seasons.

Yes you are right on that , and as i have written already they are holding and having the record for the most going up and down Club in the history in the German League.
So im realy glad and happy that they managed to stay in the second League , would be sad to see the in 3rd League.
Hope they will play better in the coming season.

Now it is Deniz Aytekin.

For my personal opinion i like Aytekin also , because he has a littl bit of something that Pierluigi Collina has got .
By the way this was and is the best referee all time for me.

Indeed. Kojak was his nickname.
With his distinctive appearance and the sometimes rather unconventional interpretation of the rules, he was one of the most influential referees around the year 2000.
His first big game was the  UEFA-Champions-League final game  between Manchester and FC Bayern in  1999.
He was an authority in soccer.

@Lafu I’ll second that because had they been relegated to the third league, then it would have been a total disaster, but hopefully they’ll perform better next season and secure their spot to play in Bundesliga once again. Further it seems that Sancho may finally secure his transfer from Dortmund to Manchester United for $80 million, but the only worrying point is if Dortmund get greedy and demand for more money, then this transfer may just collapse what do you’ll think will happen.

That would be more as great and awesome but i guess not that they will play in the top 5 in the league next year.
They should be looking more that they get a compact team next year and should be focus maybe on that in 2 years .
For the next Trainer is waiting a lot of work there , but we will see what happens.

But first they have to decide on a new sports board. According to the media, the decision will be made between Dieter Hecking (former coach at Hamburg) and Patrick Schmedes, manager at VFL Osnabrück.

Dieter Hecking was already at Nürnberg as Coach and he has done a good Job and work at this time, would be a good option for sure .
Dont know how this Schmedes are and how he is , but they will hopefully get the right one and bring some new wind into the Club.

the regional newspaper weser-kurier reports about new rumours between werder bremen and Max Kruse Shocked
i hope that MK will return to werder bremen after only one year of absence - this guy will definitely made this team stronger

What if his return makes him worse? I mean, that has happened often before. Someone comes back to his club and then the pressure is too much for the player.

today is the draw for the 1st round of the dfb cup.
there will be a little something special...
in a total of 23 lottery balls there will be only one placeholder instead of a club, only 41 of the 64 first round teams have been decided so far.
90 clubs are currently eligible for 23 free places - we'll see which clubs will be the lucky ones on august 22th for the 23 free spots

What if his return makes him worse? I mean, that has happened often before. Someone comes back to his club and then the pressure is too much for the player.

With this in mind, you can then never sign a player basically Smiley There have been players in the past - Sternkopf and Deisler come to my mind - who folded under the pressure, but in general you can expect pro footballers to deal ok-ish with all the pressure they have; at least performance-wise; what really goes on in their head, you will never know.

I once heard an interview from I think Per Mertesacker, who said, that even the best players are ultra nervous before matches and have to visit the bathroom frequently Wink

I would love to see Kruse back at Werder, because he fits there very well. Werder officials know him and I trust them to assess all circumstances properly. He won't be cheap, but I think he is willing to sign for some discount to play at Werder and in Bundesliga again. And he doesn't strike me as someone who has a lot of issues with pressure. Seems like a cool dude, who also likes the temptations outside of football and isn't what you would call a role model of a professional football player. If it would work out in the end for Werder, you never know, but if he is affordable, they should sign him imo.

It is true for some of the best players but there is also a lot of players for which I believe that isn't true, I'll sort them in the few groups:
-The kind of players who are let's say a "bit empty between" the ears and they don't understand that a lot of people expect something of them and maybe even wouldn't care if they did understand - example: Balotelli
-Players who are "larger than life" usually accompanied with an ego the size of football pitch - example: Ibrahimovic
-Players who live for the biggest matches and they show their true potential mostly in this high expectations environment: example: this category leaves a bit of room for arguments but I feel Vardy deserves a mention here, he has a knack to score against better teams while often falls short against weaker opposition. Di Maria is also one of them, especially since he joined PSG

Sorry for no examples from German league, but I feel that above mentioned prove my point in best possible way.

So @Trofo, while I think your examples are on point, I also think your list is only covering a very small part of the players. For most of the players from the Bundesliga, I am not sure in which of your groups I would put them. I would even say that you only described the extremes. When a player like Mertesacker already struggled with nervousness and was feeling pressured, I am sure a lot of other players have the same feeling and not all can brush it off like Ibrahimovic and Co. And as a fan you cannot know how these players feel at all.

The examples @tyKiwanuka mentioned, Deisler and Sternkopf, did, in the end, turn out relatively well. Someone who comes into my mind when I think about this topic is Robert Enke. Can still remember how shocked I was when I heard about his suicide.

Nobody knows what his reasons were in the end and the death of his daughter was certainly a stroke of fate that only a few can cope with. But when his father says that he suffered from a fear of failure at a young age already, this constant pressure to perform in football has certainly had a significant impact. Especially as a goalkeeper when every mistake will most likely lead to a goal.

That's why I can't understand it when frustrated fans start to insult/attack a single player directly.  Football is a team sport, you win together, you lose together.
