Tomorrow we got two pretty interesting matches (Schalke 04 -  Union Berlin & 1. FC Köln - Eintracht Frankfurt). Both Schalke (-14 goals) and Köln (-4 goals) didn't win a single match so far. Let's see if they are able to change that tomorrow. Especially when it comes to Schalke, I doubt it. But you never know. They had a nice team dinner a few days ago. Let's see, if that helped. Maybe they are hungry for more?

Havnt seen the match or even any other game !
And i never have seen this kind of acting like he has done , see it on the picture you posted the first time!
Guess its funny if you saw this first , but it will make sense at some stage and protect the Goal from a flat shot.
But Munich have won there game and another bet i placed was right , yeah !

I am in the same boat as @dwminer1 and think Schalke should get their first point(s) today. It's just about getting their act together, they have far better quality than the team from the capital. Yes, they have been poor thus far, but they played Bayern/Leipzig already (that loss against Bremen was poor though). Coach Baum had some more time to work with the team and in the last test match, they showed some signs of life by crushing Paderborn 5-1. If Schalke loses against Union as well, then I don't know......

Hehe, with this thinking I could have also placed a bet for Bayern winning 4-3 against Hertha and say Bayern could surprise us with a win in this game But it would be kind of a surpise (at least to me), if Union wins today, because I think the odds are wrong and Schalke should be favourite here today. Not by much; maybe reverse the odds and I would be fine with it So in that regard you are correct

Given Schalkes current situation with 1:15 goals and a streak of 19 matches without a win, I wouldn't be so sure about the first points for them today ... Sure, they won against Paderborn but you can't really compare Paderborn to Union. At the moment Paderborn is even struggeling to get points in the second Bundesliga. At the same time Union won 4-1 against Hannover btw. And I also doubt that Baum is the right coach at the moment for Schalke. In the end it wouldn't surprise me if that change on the sideline won't have an effect at all.

If Schalke loses against Union as well, then I don't know......

It's not only losing. Even a draw and a first point wouldn't be enough today for Schalke. They are already under pressure to win today. Because Dortmund comes next and I can't see how they should be able to get even one point in that game.

I am feeling pretty pathetic defending Schalke here (), but don't dwell on that lousy goal differential. They lost 0-8 @Bayern and 0-4 @Leipzig, it happens and Barca lost 2-8 to Bayern as well^^ And that streak is bad no doubt, but no team in this world with this quality keeps on not-winning for ages. And I didn't even say they will win today, but that Union will not win today and their odds are poor imo

I think today is a pretty good opportunity to start from scratch and forget about everything that has happened in the past. You had this UNL break, a new coach, a healthy team, maybe a bit of self-confidence after that test match....but feel free to put a bet on Union winning @2.5x. But don't say I didn't warn you afterwards

That's the thing, no one team can keep winning or loosing all games less it becomes more of just participating in the games rather than a compitition for the trophy. After all, Bayern has lost games too with a 1-4 goal difference to Hoffenham. You can almost trust teams that get there heads in the game believing for a win to win or else, big teams will always claim the 3 points for themselves at every given chance.
No doubt, Schalke04 is doing rather badly, occupying the 18th position on the league table which happens to be the relegation zone but teams at that point always shows a lot of respiration and you can always trust them to be really dangerous.

One team that has continued to impress me still is RasenBallsport Leipzig, doing quite well to stay consistent and maintaining the number one spot on the league table, outstanding. No doubt, like Atlanta submitted to Napoli, they too will succumb once they meet there match.

The result of Hertha Berlin is not surprising. There is too much hustle and bustle around the club at the moment. Many disputes between the persons in the club management. No wonder that this is rubbing off on the team.

Well, if you look at how much Hertha has invested lately into their team, you could've at least come to the conclusion that they are the favourite against a team that just got promoted from the second Bundesliga. So for me it was a surprise that Stuttgart won today. And in general I am disappointed with Hertha this season so far. I am sure there will be ones that blame it on the coach but Labbadia has proven in Wolfsburg that he can form a team and lead it into the Europa League. Not sure what's the problem with Hertha so far. A lot of individually good players that don't work together as a team maybe?

Basically you are right. But if it would be so easy that you just invest a lot of money and then the team immediately works at its best, then it would be relatively easy to "buy the championship win". There have been many examples in European football where a lot of money was invested and then nothing came out. For example, many Premier League clubs that only play in midfield (Newcastle, WestHam etc) or even only in the second division. Or clubs like Malaga in Spain, just to name a few examples.

But I get what you mean and if I were a Schalke fan I'd want to see it exactly the same way. I just don't see how a coach like Baum could help and I don't agree with you that "they have far better quality than the team from the capital". Better hope Schalke players and officials don't think the same way. This is very dangerous. It is also far too easy to dismiss the bad goal difference by saying that it was Bayern and Leipzig they had to play against. It's not that they played so much better against Bremen and only lost due to bad luck ...

It's a common strategy in FC Bayern's matchplan when they are facing a free kick from the opponent, but usually it's Joshua Kimmich who is lieing on the pitch. Since he wasn't playing yesterday (his wife was giving birth), it was Costa's job to block a potential low shot.

Bough games ended up in draw , hanvt expected that and was really thinking that Schalke will lose again.
Also i have placed a bet on Frankfurt to win there match against Cologne.

next weekend there will be the big west duel. Borussia dortmund against schalke 04.probably the match will take place without fans. there are too many infected people in the ruhr area.
if schalke 04 loses this match as well, they will need a new coach soon.

As you expected, they got their first point. What a success for them! 1-1 against the famous Union Berlin. The turnaround is complete, it's only getting better from now on Okay, enough of the joking. Lucky point for Schalke: 0,25 xG for Schalke, 0,83 for Union according to Understat . As I said earlier I don't think it will help them much, they needed a win today. The next matches won't be easier. But at least they showed some improvements today.

Good for Schalke that Mainz and Köln are probably as bad this season. Could become a season similar to Werders last season.

That's a bit crazy. It is not forbidden and it is a good idea to make the opponent feel insecure. But not when you are already in the lead. I think you can do something like that when it's about winning or important decisions.
That remembers me at the Match between Michael Chang and Ivan Lendl at the French Open 1989 when Chang made some tricks. His underhand serve or especially as he moved forward to the T-Line as he had Match ball and Lendl was so perplexed, that Lendl made are double fault.
