I really have a good feeling about 2016 as well. But I don't think Bitcoin will go mainstream this year.

Yeah, it will take long time for bitcoin to get on mainstream, as it is not that popular yet, but the price of bitcoin will surely reach to a new level in the year 2016.

Every one is saying the same thing that 2016 is year of bit coin and I do myself hope for the best for halving of bit coins. Only one thing to be added further is that bit coin would reach its destiny earlier in case of large number of people get awareness about it.

I believe that the price will not rise to $1000 and i think the maximum value of bitcoin this year after halving end around $600 to $700 or double the price of as price today..
There's no reason why bitcoin will be $1000 because halving is half rewards so it mean if the block rewards is 25 btc it will half to 12.5
So the price should be double after halving..

after the dust settles the price is going to come back to its normal stage (probably $500) and continue as normal

but for the halving if there is a bubble,the price can go up as high as $1000 without any problem as it went there before.

Is it just the price increase of the block having? I think what makes this year the year of bitcoin are those dramas that happens at the start of the year,, block size issue, and other news and yet, bitcoin survive after those..

$2000 is to high imo. i'm not sure the price of bitcoin will reach $2000 because halving. Maybe around $500 - $700. Even $500+ i'm happy for that.

At Halving we may reach $1000 bitcoin price, but after that it may come down or may go up, because how many people after selling the coins, are willing to buy again.
After halving bitcoin supply will be very less, it will make value can keep on raise up to 2000$. We will have to wait and see .

today i read some good news like Kryptokit Launches Jaxx Bitcoin wallet for android, Japan considers making bitcoin a legal currency  etc.

Yes actually I think no trader can be in loss with bitcoins because some day or the other the price will rise and as it does they can sell it making a decent profit. I myself do trading and earn fine amounts

It wont be a year for Bitcoin. But in this year Bitcoin will be very good. I think it will be more worth later and that is very good.
That is good for those people who made already an investment. So they will get some profit also later.
