How ironic isn't it, Djokovic seems to raised a lot of concern early, even hinting not taking a vaccine if there is one, (discussions on this a page back), and then he setup Adria Cup, with no regards to safety precautions, the after party was really a party pre-pandemic.

There is a fine line between confidence and over confidence and Djokovic was vocal about it and he was careless with his activities and he is now paying the price and everyone is blaming him for his lack of precaution and Marin Cilic and Coric are positive and we have no idea about the rest of the results.

And now that US Open is coming up in the next couple of weeks, I do hope that it will push through, but learning through this bad experience, ITF should be more strictier to players specially fans. And I don't know if we are going to see a competitive US Open this year, with players testing positive or skipping the tournament at all.

Players that tested positive should skip the major tournaments until they are virus free for over a month to protect the rest of the players.

We have some good start in sports after nearly 100 days break and soccer is going on successfully but sadly in tennis we have some serious trouble as many players tested positive because they was not serious about this all they must have to be models for others but they not adopted all rules and now feeling some serious problems hopefully they all will recover and we will able to have them in tennis court in near future.

To tell you the truth i expected Tennis is far better suited for a situation like this than group sports like Soccer Cricket and now it turns that if the organizing party is not serious about taking precaution then everything is doomed including everyone who participated in the event. The major tournaments will take these precautions seriously as they will not risk the blame game if something goes wrong and with the blame Djokovic is receiving is a lesson for everyone who is willing to take the risk.

Both Dimitrov and Djokovic don't really take responsibility, they have both made huge mistakes. I wouldn't be surprised if some sponsors of Dimitrov/Djokovic drop out because of this events.
I think you can really organize tournaments in a safe way; doing better than the Adria tour is not really difficult

Yes, as tennis like badminton is contactless sports, so I think they can still thrive even in the pandemic, no fans, just some important personalities like umpires and linesman and they are good to go. The problem is the total disregard and players not taking it seriously just like what we witnessed on the Djokovic lead tournament.

Videos surfacing recently, with players and fans interacting with each other. And Djokovic should really take the blame and now they are paying the price because they have been tested positive already.

It’s also worth mentioning that many people are now asking Djokovic to resign as the president of the ATP player council, however I don’t think that he’ll resign anytime soon, but what do you’ll think should he actually resign or no?.

What people? If that is a public opinion or some media spin, than I don't think he should resign or even listen to them. If the players are asking for resignation that is whole other story. As a president of ATP player council their opinion is the only one that matters. If significant amount of players want Djokovic resignation he should honor their wish and resign immediately.

I get the feeling that they want to bring Djokovic down as he is very close to becoming the most grand slam title wins. I do think that this will take a lot out of Djokovic as everyone is jumping on the bandwagon right now. The mental stress this will cause him will take a toll on his playing career I think and we just need to wait and see if he can over come it.

Yes, to tell the truth people always say how tennis is a game for gentlemen and all that, with polite people but I think football has really shown the world that it does have very good humans at the core.

Even clubs punish players who go and break curfew but to hear this about tennis superstars, I have to really shake my head and wonder what is going on here.

Djokovic is just an ordinary person which was raised from background which is quite different to Nadal and Federer so we shouldn't expect him to have the same understanding like Federer and Nadal, and the last time i checked they are older than him.
With that been said, he has already apologized and prove to be responsible by accepting him mistakes. If he can manage to do the right thing now and treat things in the future maturely he can be respected than Federer and Nadal.

In my honest opinion, he should resign as president. As president, you always need to act in a way that is benificial for everyone and you should take responsibility when you make mistakes.
Why would people respect or even listen to Djokovic, given all the mistakes he has made? I am curious what Federer and Nadal think of this whole situation.

Dimitrov may have brought the viru into the tournament, but the way it was organised, helped spreading the virus massively...

Who cares who is next, in the sense that it is about those who participated in the insane organization of such an event during a pandemic? This is something that goes into the category of biological terrorism according to what Dr. Markotic said, and all these people should be held criminally responsible for what they did.

The Croatian public is mainly focused on defending Novak Djokovic and his brother who is the organizer of the Adria Tour - but this only proves that Croats have a short-term memory and forget that Novak officially supported war criminal Vojislav Seselj and his policy from the bloody war from 91 where the main motto was - a good Croat is a dead Croat. 

If Novak was really a man, then after this scandal he would have resigned from president of ATP player council, no one would have to ask him to do that.

This is a piece of really bad news for Tennis, I hope no one else should test positive of this dreadful virus. I hope he recovers fast. I did read a few players from the cricket community who have also been tested positive of this virus.

Now it looks that things were wrong from the start. Good idea and intentions but bad performance, recommendations and epidemic measures were not carried out, too much audience and people were too relaxed.
Everybody tought that in this situation tennis is in much better position than group sports, less risky and easier to obey all the rules and recommendation but Adria Tour proved different.

Not sure what you are talking about, people who follow tennis likes him, i am a huge fan of all three players and was a bit disappointed when Djokovic was out of form in the past for a period of time may be because of injury and personally i always think that i was lucky to watch three of the greatest players of all time Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic playing in one era and battling each other in every major tournaments.
