What's up with PCB? Was he really sick or just pretended to break Khachanov's momentum? Whatever it was, he did break the momentum and is now back in fourth set. Khachanov +1.5 set handicap was the play here @ 1.88x Busta broke Khachanov in the fourth as I was typing this lmao He wad pretending to be sick for sure. Sore loser Khachanov have took lead of the 5th set and won the match 4-6 6-3 6-1 4-6 6-3. PCB kept the match alive till the last set. That was really good comeback in the fourth set, but he wasn't able to keep it going in the final set. On the much expected match between Medvedev and Kyrgios, the first set itself started on fire. Both are really competing and what a rally to watch. Consecutive points scored have reached 7 13-6 11 for Kyrgios to win the first set.

Kyrgios managed to beat medvedev for the second time on a row and i did not expect that on a hard court, the first set was really tight and kyrgios won it on the back and forth tiebreak, medvedev managed only to win the second one and then it was a total domination from kyrgios, medvedev must be disapointed with this loss because he will not be able to defend his title.

Medvedev's defeat was unexpected, right? Despite Kyrgios bad attitude there is no denying that he is a talented player if he is in good form then it is not easy for top players to beat him. I saw a match between L. Samsonova vs A. Tomljanovic the first set was very tight and Tomljanovic was able to get the first set and the second set all quite different and Tomljanovic easier to finish this second set and win the match to advance to the quarterfinals.

-snip Medvedev's defeat was unexpected, right?
not really sure, but interesting question, IMO he was not no.1 cappacity, and that could be seen throughout this year, and especially at season beginning, when he needed to win one small tournament to overcome Djokovic and failed multiple times Nadal is back to no.1, at 36 years, what do you think about his chances to win this GS as well?

No not sure either. I posted earlier in the thread that the H2H between these two before the match was 3-1 to Kyrgios and obviously extends that lead now. I wanted to bet on that match but didnt know which way to go. Nadal back to No.1 spot....I didnt realise that, its remarkable. I think he has a great chance to take this title. Who is his main challenger left in the tournament? Alcaraz? Krygios? These are the only 2 which I can see realistically able to get past him?

Khachanov to win is @1.5 right now against carreno Busta, if he loses, I'm retiring betting on tennis after I lost on Shapovalov and de minaur, I belive in khachanov's chances to win, I made a bet on him before the match, and I'm thinking about betting again on him live.
After losing the first set, Khachanov have won the third set and keeps him on the lead. Careno Busta is playing well and finding the right time to take a break through. So, we can't get into conclusion. Winning the third set keeps him on the lead and developed pressure on Careno Busta, fourth set will probably give the result of the match. thank god Khachanov was able to win the fifth set with no big troubles, i got scared when he lost the fourth set, anyways, there was another surprise to day with Kyrgios beating Medvedev with three sets to one, after the first 2 sets, Kyrgios was serving comfortably, Medvedev should have pushed him more and put pressure on his serve but he didn't and Kyrgios picked up confidence to win most of his games easily.

What a player is he Nick Kyrgios done amazing job after winning first set on tiebreaker he lost second but fight back in third and fourth set where he is not allowed top ranked Medvedev to give any resistance completely outclass with the score of 6 - 3 and 6 - 2 in third and fourth sets now with these results things are going to be good who is going to win this grand slam a big question mark is lurking around because Nadal is fighting with opponents and his injury as well which can give him defeat on any occasion. Things are surely very interesting we can expect some new champion in this event with Nick Kyrgios, Alcaraz or Ruud who could be next we have to wait for this official result, but I really love this match and player who done amazing job in four sets.

Kyrgios really looks a lot more stable in the last few months. He's been playing well and his results have improved, he fully deserves his win against Medvedev.
He has a decent draw now until the final - Khachanov in the QF and then either Berettini or Ruud in the semis. Now that Medvedev is out, Kyrgios is actually one of my main contenders for the title. I won't bet on him though - he needs a much longer period of stability before I start trusting him with my bets.

Alcaraz - Čilić is match of the day for me, really interested to see experienced clash out with Alcaraz. Čilić usually has big problems against players that can return back his attacks so I am expecting Alcaraz to prevail in the end.
Not betting on that one for now, maybe I will place over games bet later on. For now I have only Norrie ML, Rublev is not in the best form at the moment so I am expecting relatively easy match for Norrie.

Kyrgios absolutely has amazing talent. When he now lost the second set it was a dangerous moment for him as he tends to have a hard time to get back in shape during a game. I believe that the key moment was the first tie break. If he lost that one with 13 to 11 like Medvedev did, I think we might have seen a 3 to 0 for Medvedev in sets. This way he had still this motivational boost to make it after Medvedev tied the match. Now I think everything is possible. Tiafoe is usually a clear cut case, but he has shown strong physical performances in the past. If everything goes as expected I would still say this is a safe win for Nadal and then we are already into the quarterfinals. As it is still fun to watch Kyrgios at times despite his mental break downs, a final against Nadal is in reach. It would be an exciting final given the most recent history with them meeting in the Wimbledon semi-final that sadly couldn't be played till the end.

Nice how Kyrgios made it to the next round. He was too good for Medvedev, who usually loses few matches. Still waiting for his first win in a Grand Slam tournament, but in this tournament he seems to be in the right form and also has a lot of fans in the crowd. As long as he wins it's fun to watch, but his behavior on the track also means he has some people who don't like him. I don't think it bothers him at all and that it doesn't affect his game. Kyrgios now has a serious chance of winning the tournament. Nadal is good, but not unbeatable on this surface. Has already lost a set here and there.

I hope he can keep his focus right because it would be really nice to see Kyrgios lift a grandslam trophee; he has the talent for it!

Kyrgios is an able player and he have proven it through his winning on different trophies. First time he have reached the quarter finals in US Open. This is going to make a big year for him, but at times his attitude has been his downfall. We can't term it to be wrong. Each have their own way of expression, but from a viewer point it stands odd against the match situation.

This is going to be very interesting. Alcaraz vs Čilić is going to be interesting because Čilić also has a problem that happens when he tries to return a ball that is coming towards his backhand if I am not wrong. So I think Alcaraz will try to take advantage of that. I believe both players are going to try to take advantage of the weakness of their opponents. I don't think it is going to be ideal to bet on this one. Kyrgios really looks a lot more stable in the last few months. Actually, I am going to because he is not performing consistently right now. And that is probably the only reason why I am saying he might not be the winner. Otherwise, he is a good player and he has really good capability. But capability doesn't matter when you are not in form. But at the same time, his performance has improved compared to before. So, I think it is safe to say that he deserves to win what are the same time someone can also say that he needs to improve a little more if he actually wants to have a good shot towards the title.

Hopefully my second choice will pass a little easier. Made a bet on over 33.5 @1.7 on Čilić - Alcaraz match for high stake. Alcaraz should win this but Čilić is capable of taking at least one set and that should be more than enough for this bet to pass. It can also pass in 3 sets if we get some tie breaks. Both players also have ups and downs trough the matches so over seems like a really good pick.

^ I have a handicap bet, conservative enough one on Cilic +7 @1.64. Alcaraz can definitely have lulls in his match which should allow Cilic to cover these bets.
Anyone watching Tiafoe v Nadal?
Frances took the first set 6-4 and I was able to pick up a rare 1.6 bet on Nadal.
I also made an in-play bet on Swiatek to beat Niemeier after she lost the first set.

Agree about this was no unexpected because one month back Kyrgios defeated Medvedev in Montreal and if someone able to check history between these two players he can check Kyrgios is clearly having good advantage against Russian player with 4 - 1 matches in favor of him which is indicating how good he is against him. I believe if he changes his attitude then surely he can achieve better success and can go at top of ATP ranking but sadly due to his behavior most of the peoples feeling he is having some mental issue and things which he has done also have clearly indicating he needs better consultation about this which can help him for staying at the top and have much better results in this game for long time.

It seems that nadal is having difficulties against tiafoe, he is behind two sets to one he needs to win this one to stay alive in this tournament, this set seems to be a tight one they both won their service games so far i think we might see a tie break on this one.

It seems that nadal is having difficulties against tiafoe, he is behind two sets to one he needs to win this one to stay alive in this tournament, this set seems to be a tight one they both won their service games so far i think we might see a tie break on this one.
The match is moving into the hands of Tiafoe, already he have won two sets and leads the fourth set 5-3. Few players who are expected to reach the finals have gone out. Now it looks like Nadal to be the next one. To make a recovery into doesn't look like he have got the stamina. In the match between Norrie and Rublev, there is no big game. Rublev have won it on direct sets 6-4 6-4 6-4 and moved to the quarter finals.
