The horrible part about the Embiid injury is that the series was basically over. Pascal seemingly threw that elbow with a little frustration that his season was coming to an end. Embiid probably shouldn’t have been in the game at that point and I hope the league looks into this more. I haven’t known Pascal to be a dirty player, but the timing on this one and the seriousness of the injury just doesn’t sit right with me. The Sixers just can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to post season play. Pascal might be the new Kawhi.

Boston is healthy had the best game of their season when they sweep the favorite to win the championship. So it will be hard for the Sixers to even win a game without Embiid.

No one would expect an injury, it's just too unfortunate that Embid suffers that injury. However, maybe he can play using a mask to avoid that injury from getting touch, who knows that would be possible, let's just be optimistic though.

Boston will be facing Bucks if I get it right, while Sixers will be facing Miami.

Embiid's injury will ruin the fun between Sixers and the Heat, though maybe Doc will use his veteran center or even
try whatever he has to cover Embiid absence, very balance Miami will surely give them the hard time during this
2nd round, one series away for the conference finals. Every single game is expected to be more intense now.

Grizzlies will be having the game of there life with GSW aggressiveness. I'm curious on far they can go against GSW.

We are going to find out soon, Grizzlies defeated the Warriors in the play-in, I think the Warriors here will be making their revenge. With a healthy Curry, Green, and Thompson, that's all that is needed to win the game. The good thing here is both teams could play small ball as they don't have long center.

I'm also curious how far could the Memphis Grizzlies go against the Warriors this time, surely they don't have enough experience in the playoffs compared to the Warriors who became a back-to-back champion few years ago. This could be an advantage of the young players of Grizzlies so that they can learn against the heavy teams but looking in the current line-up, I know the Warriors will be the one to move up this round.

Grizzlies are good no doubt about it, they have one of the most electrifying players, however, he was limited by Pat B in their series. And the Warriors is a good defensive team as well so it will be another hard series for Ja. And yes, experience will be on the side of the Warriors here since they have been in this situation before and should know how to adjust and react as to what the Grizzlies are going to offer in their series.

Yeah, Morant was already exposed in the first round, and when he is limited, it will be hard for Memphis to beat the Golden State Warriors. These are just our personal prediction though but game 1 would give a telling on the outcome of the series.

I saw him play badly against the Raptors even at receiving the ball or blocking a shot (Game 4 or 5, IIRC). He is hesitating to do something because he is afraid it might hurt again plus, he keeps on making a face like he is in labor. It needs surgery but I don't think he will go through that until this playoff is over.

From -4.5, Heat are now -8. I think that is manageable for them to win and cover the spread as well because Embiid is the biggest contributor of their offense and defense, not having him in the game will easy make the Heat to attack the paint. It will be James Harden now who will have to lead the team, but I don't think he is ready for this Heat defensive team.

Bookies reacted fast. I was about to take the bet for the Heat after the said incident with Embiid but I guess I am late.
Now there will be doubts on gamblers because they could just take the +8 for the 76ers and expect Harden to shoulder the missing piece.
The center position is the most questionable of all, Bam will definitely dominate it and who is there to fight for the rebound for the 76ers. Millsap and Jordan. Can they even survive it and Doc Rivers should consider the offensive end.

I don't think it will be just game 1 that Joel will missed. That injury can be worsen if it will be hit again. He might try to used a protection like a mask, or something but again, it might make him uncomfortable. When everything looks  for the Sixers, suddenly they are in a position that it will be difficult to go to the finals because of Embiid's injury.

Bucks are a very strong opponent for Celtics and I don't think that Celtics can get past them. This series can end by a 4-1 victory for Bucks I think. And Suns can get past Mavericks by the same result also. Grizzlies - Warriors might be a little more competitive I think and Warriors would be the winner by 4-2.

But the Celtics is coming back strong and might tie the score at the end of the second quarter. But for sure this is going to be a very close fight. I have a bet on the Celtics, but Giannis proving himself in this game as it seems the Celtics can't fight a way to stop him and could put a triple double in this first game.

I agree the Bucks should take the series but I don't think it will be "comfortable".  Celtics are a lot tougher than people give them credit for.  But yeah to see the Bucks being underdogs and not being taken seriously is wierd.  They are the Champs and until they are knocked off I would think they would get more respect.  I actually see them in the finals again.  Who knows though I just hope it's a good series

Without Embiid I do not think that there is any chance that Sixers will win, but at the same time I am very sad for Harden who believed that he finally got the players he needed around him to have a chance to win the title only for it to taken away with a injury that happened when their win was already secured, such a big disappointment.

Miami will definitely be in ECF for sure, there is no doubt about that. Let's see what happens though, if it takes too quick, like a sweep then it would be better and they can rest, if not then they will be facing a very tough opponent next round whoever comes, they need to end this very quickly if they can.

Bucks currently dominating Celtics die to there strong rebound potential. Celtics has a very low rebound in both offensive and defensive which makes them out scored by Bucks even though Giannis got his 4th foul on 3rd quarter. I think this might be a sign for a choke of Boston same as last year. They are unstoppable until they meet a strong team that can rival there strength and beat them on there own game. Giannis is very strong on this match which is the reason why Bucks keeps pushing the Boston even though they have the advantage with the home.

This alley-oop to himself is an indication that the Boston Celtic's defense strategy is not working in the meantime and they need to think of another way to stop him because they are just being bullied when Giannis play like this, healthy and dominating that's a big problem for them and they cannot just simply fix their rotation, they also need to think of who will gonna be there to stop him when he uses those cheat step to quickly get near the basket.

Bucks started the series by a decent win like 101-89. Giannis made a delightful triple-double and Holiday also contributed to the team great by scoring 25 points. They have the psychological predominance now against Celtics. And we are in the second quarter in the Grizzlies - Warriors game at the moment. Grizzlies had a really good start to the game and they are ahead for now. But Warriors are a really difficult opponent for them so things can change if they lose their focus. Whichever team win this, they will capture a good advantage.

One of their key players is out and they are facing a complete team that swept the Nets so I don't really see that as weird.

It seems they are still the underdog for game 2 even if they won game 1. Opening lines at 2.40 looks like a good time to place bigger bets if you're a Bucks fan.

The most enjoyable game of the night was Grizzlies - Warriors to me. It proved that this series would go on very competitively. After a really fierce competition in this game, Grizzlies lost by only one point, 116-117. Morant and Jackson were the most impressive players for Grizzlies but it must be a big disappointment for them to lose the game this close. Poole and Curry were the most impressive ones for Warriors. Poole has been a very attention getting player for a long time by the way. He has been scoring many points for some time. His role in the success of his team is not small now.

Despite his young age, Ja Morant plays very well, but he didn't use the last ball well. Memphis lost at home and the home advantage is gone. Draymond Green was absent in the second half for flagrant number two, but Klay Thompson scored in the right place in last quarter.
I think this series will be very long. Memphis will not give up the second game no matter what. They shouldn't be giving that many offensive rebounds again.
