Anyway, Giannis is still showing how strong he is, so I guess the Bucks will try to rebuild surrounding him with strong players. They already made a move, signing Myles Turner. It seems like they are focusing on big men.

Nah man, he surely didn't respect Lin, there is so much video evidence for that. The situation with PAU in the Olympics was so totally different, it's like you are comparing apples with oranges. 
He went through Pau to set a statement, we are on the same Lakers team but this is a different game we are playing today, that was the message. He would also never say anything bad about Pau, just let his hard game do the talking.

Linsanity. I remember that one play (it's in the link too) where he waved Kobe, and Lin was making the play for himself. Kobe accepted and helped him make a screen to open up for Lin. Truly, Kobe respected him as an NBA player and let him be the star of that night.
But Lin is mostly known for his insane shooting skills during his New York Knicks stint. That is where he shone most, and they even made a documentary of him for that.

Perhaps he wanted to test Lin that time, the same he do with Howard, and we all know that it didn't turn out good for Howard as Kobe see him as soft and not have the right mentality to play with him. So Kobe is know to play mind games with his team mates

But anyway, not taking away anything from JLin and the success he had. He was very talented but had bad luck with injuries and also team situations. Remember when he went to Houston, thinking he would handle the ball and call plays? Well, days later they signed a ball hog called James Harden and we all know how this went. Harden had the ball all the time and Lin got limited minutes.
I had the chance to see Lin play twice in Taiwan and he still looked solid. I guess with 37 years now it's time to call it quits.

He really had the talent back then, but I don't know why he keep bouncing. Starting with the Linsanity in New York and then we thought that him and Carmelo might be a good tandem. But there were reports that Carmelo didn't like him and so he was traded and keep of moving until nobody picks him up.

I guess what they need is good rotation since they already have good shot to win a championship this season. If it happen that they trade their young valuable piece its like they are risking their future. Knowing KD he usually leave especially if he think that he's on losing team. So best to retain everyone and focus on their development. Let KD lead them and they might get good experience from a veteran star like him.

So its better for Rockets to retain their current roster and not to push any trade just to get Giannis since it will just ruin their organization then they might undergo on rebuilding process for long time again.

They even hadn't play yet, so they have to see if KD is a perfect fit for them before they can think of like having to get Giannis first. So it's very interesting to see how KD will be with the Rockets. Houston already sacrifices here, trading Jalen Green, the supposedly franchise player. So they have broke their core already and then now moving to KD era. Maybe after this season, if the gamble has paid of or not for the Rockets and then maybe that is the time that they will have to shift pieces and who knows, possible for them to get Giannis + KD. But for now, let's enjoy KD with the Rockets and see if he can bring them to the West finals.

It's also the chemistry of the players in a certain team, just like what you mentioned, it looks good in paper but in reality the players might have different mindset and they are not in the same page. But if players are hungry, like the Celtics, with Pierce, Allen, KG and Rondo it was a instant click and they become champions.

Another bad example is the KD, Irving and Harden in the Nets, too much drama and then they don't have enough supporting cast. I think this is one important aspects as well, players that are willing to do the hard job, and we've seen teams to have this special kinds of players as second stringers to play defense.

I think Lakers adding more players make sense, they need some people around the Luka Lebron duo, right now they have not that many great people around them and that should be the key point for them to get better. I get that it is not going to be easy, because they do not have any assets, and they do not have room in salary cap to get good free agents too.

Only possibility they have right now to get better would be someone willing to trade some great potential players with low salary to them in exchange of their bad players. But that's not going to happen, why would anyone be willingly help Lakers to get better on a trade. That already happened with Dallas giving them Luka, not really thinking they will get lucky like that again.

I disagree on this, Lakers have a lot of supporting players for Lebron and Luka duo. They have Austin Reaves, Ayton, Hachimura, Kleber and more young talent that has potential.

Most of their players is young so there’s no outstanding name it but they have a balance roster now especially that Luka already back to fit Luka.

I believe Lakers will perform much better this season.

He’s back!… This guy is always like the accessory of his brother, and even though the team doesn’t really use him, he inspires Giannis. Agree to that, having KD as your main scorer may give them a good chance to reach the finals, though still too early to conclude, but in terms of winning it's a obligation of the coach on how he will play his players, chemistries is very important and establishing it togehter will be a big task especially having KD coach needs to blend him to other players that will be fit on how KD plays the game.

While reading, I'm also thinking and asking myself "What did Lin did to the league that made him respected by Kobe?" and I can't think of anything, so I don't know how he respects him.

Gasol is one of the players that he respects, and that's the truth, and maybe let's include his mentor, the GOAT Michael Jordan to that conversation as well. Aside from those 2, I don't think there's anybody... or maybe those Laker legends like Magic, Kareem and many more. Anyway, I will not be taking away the fact that Lin did something towards the league, and when I think of him, there are 2 things that comes to my mind.
1. That famous game-winning shot against the Raptors that made him famous "FOR 2 WEEKS", and the reason why "Linsanity" is born.
2. He will be known as the champion "who didn't play for it at all". I mean correct me, but he didn't play when he won the title when he's a Raptor. I know there are many role players that had the same experience, but he's the most popular.

I don't expect Simmons coming back anymore especially now that he's asking an "above the league minimum" salary. As for Westbrook though, I still believe that he can still be as explosive as he can be like what he showed last season when he's still on Denver. For me though, he's not worth $10M per year anymore. I know the Kings want to sign him and give him a decent paycheck, but they can't unless they can find a trading partner to get rid of Monk (which I think would be a mistake).  I do hope that Westbrook doesn't sit out.  He's had a great career and deserves to pad those career numbers a bit to make sure he's a first ballot hall of famer.  I certainly believe he will be, even if he hasn't gotten himself a ring.

I also doubt that Ben deserves that if he's asking and even threatening for his salary to increase above minimum. He's always been injured and did wasted seasons.

As for Russ, I think that he deserves it. The last contract that he's got with the Denver Nuggets, I think it's around $1M-$3M and so, he's only asking rightly.

But if ever he won't be given that courtesy as a veteran. I agree that he might end up retiring in no time.

It’s clear the Bucks want to keep Giannis. They probably signed his brother because they knew Giannis wasn’t pleased when they waived Lillard. So, to keep him happy, they brought Thanasis back, at least as a way to maintain their relationship. The Bucks’ management knows how to keep Giannis satisfied. They also know that if Giannis leaves, it’s over for them, the Bucks won’t be a title contender anymore.
