In the latest drama. Jokic has informed the Denver Nuggets that he will not be signing an extension with them. That basically puts them in a situation where they have to trade him and will start looking at options now as his trade value will only decline from here. I think he’ll probably play out his current contract either way and then sign where he wants to be as a free agent.

I think this might have more to do with what he'd get signing an extension against how much he could possibly make by waiting until 2026, this definitely isn't case of wanting out of the franchise, bro just want to get what truly deserves.. Denver Nuggets would be very dumb if they're looking to trade him rather hold talks to have him back through the free agency. Except, I'm missing actually getting something wrong here.

Right, it's just about normal, there are players that don't want to sign for a extension with their current team, despite them being their franchise or they are one of the core and key player. And the reason is that they wanted to test the free agency and see what kind of offers they can get outside of their current team. And knowing Jokic an him probably seeing a lot of players getting huge contract, then maybe that's what he is thinking right now. He should be also that kind of mentally, getting $250 million or more. So it's up to the Denver management on how they will treat him, or what does Jokic will do in the next season. If he had that another MVP season and leads the team to the finals, then he deserves that huge pay. If not and Nuggets felt he didn't deserves then they might go on a separate ways or even negotiate first.

In other dumb contract moves… While trying to buy out Bradley Beal’s nightmare contract and having just gave away Kevin Durant for scrubs, the Phoenix Suns are trying to one up themselves by extending Booker at $75 million dollars per year. A reward for him never winning anything… The NBA is lost.

Honestly, Beal and Durant made sense, for a team that wants to tank, it's obvious that they are doing terrible and with all of their players they still failed to make it to playoffs, so tanking makes sense. Beal contract would be over by the time they tanked and got some picks and rebuilding, and Durant is out, plus Green is young, so that made sense just a bit. So I am supporting of all of the moves they have done thus far and that wasn't really a bad thing at all.

However, we are talking about something that is way to bad for them to get Booker 75 million, that is too much per year, that is not the amount he deserves at all. We need to make sure that things are not going great for them, but that is not easy at all for them to tank with this salary. They should get rid of him somehow.

Not sure if this has been discussed here, but Normal Powell has been traded by the Clippers to Miami and send John Collins to LA. I guess there was kind of like a meme of Powell being better than Paul George as we all know that Paul didn't resign with the Clippers. Booker's contract is still acceptable, at least he delivers on the court. The Suns actually need to get rid of Bradley Beal and his absurd contract. If they can trade him as well now that Durant is gone, they could create some space in the salary cap. That way, they could rebuild the team around Booker. They don't have an easy job either way, though. There are so many good teams and they don't have much chance to compete.

Suns just need to find players like Caruso, Dort and TJ McConnell that do their job efficiently with 101% effort on both offense and defense without thinking about their personal stats on the game.

These players are low salary but high efficiency on their game. Suns has better chance to build a good roster around booker by looking for that kind of potential players on the rookie that typically being trade by team for old player.

It’s a potential max contract for Rookie. OKC just trying to lock-in their core roster before it hits their salary cap once they are not rookie anymore.
